Hey Circle C, this place discriminates.I've been there more that a 15 times and only once have I been offered a drink. (Not that I even want one bc it's really bad wine.) Every other time, including today, all the other clients around me are offered drinks -- but not me. I tip well, I am quiet, respectful and amiable. Yet they appear to discriminate against me - because I am a person of color? This is the last time I'm going to patronize this place. When I reported this behavior to the manager today, he didn't even apologize. His excuse was they are busy. I've been here when there have only been 2 other clients -- same result. So take your money to some place where they don't practice discrimination. Spread the word. read more

This place was horrible. The scrubs that they use are way to rough and when I told the technician she said no its not and then proceeded to bad mouth me to her coworkers. I had picked out a hot pink color and when the paint had run out the technician ran to the back to refill it and it made it a coral color. When I told her it was not the same color she said it would be the color change charge to change the color. I would never recommend this place to anyone read more

I usually go here during the summer when i'm in town and back for university and the work is usually decent; it's not bad, not the greatest but by no means terrible. I came back for Thanksgiving break and visited Nail Bar and it was the worst nail experience i've ever had. I came in for a shellac manicure and pedicure and since it was the first day of break, it was busier than normal. I was shuffled around and ended up getting my manicure and pedicure done at the same time (which is very normal). However, going on from then was incredibly problematic. When the man was doing my toes, i made it apparent when he was trying to file that i had a ingrown nail that was in pain and I told him he could cut it out. When he got around to cutting out the ingrown nail, his lack of gentleness was extremely painful, so much so that my instinct jerked my whole body from the lady getting my nails done and i looked down at my foot. He continued to forcibly take the tool and pull out the ingrown nail and then cut too much off. Usually getting ingrown nails out, is unpleasant but this was excruciating. Once he took the tool and cut at it, my toe started to bleed (and didn't stop) for the duration of my 2+ hour visit. He avoided doing my big toe, the one that had the ingrown nail (due to the fact that i wasn't going to stop bleeding) until the end, when they had to switch people because he did not know to deal with my bleeding foot. they ended up trying to stop the bleeding (it never stopped) and painted around the bleeding toe. Besides that one toe, my pedicure was not great at all. After all the fussing trying to get the bleeding to subside, I ended up just asking for a bandaid because it was apparent that it was going to keep bleeding. On top of this, at the end of my manicure when they put your hands in the wax bags, the lady didn't close the bag tightly so the wax got on the sleeve of my top. I ended up paying full price and i couldn't get out of there faster. I'm not sure if they were overwhelmed with the amount of people there but I am generally a pretty easy going person but this experience left me in such dissatisfaction. read more

The salon looks fine inside and they change the liner for the water basin for each customer, so I was enthusiastic about my visit. But I have visited twice now and each time experienced exceptionally poor customer service (a few of the people who work there speak so rudely to customers - I'm amazed this place stays open). The work was sloppy as well. One pedicure, the technician smeared my toenail as I moved to the dryer, and I had to ask him to fix it (he didn't offer). And my manicurist filed all of my nails at a weird angle as she hurried through my manicure, and I had to ask her to file them straight. Also, it appears they serve water and wine as they have bottles on display and I saw other customers drinking, but neither time I had a manicure and pedicure was I offered anything. With so many salons to chose from (run and staffed by friendly people), won't be going back to the Nail Bar. read more

I'm new to area and looking for my south ATX holy grail nail salon. It's a cute salon, beautifully decorated and very modern and clean. However I'm not sure I'll be back. Customer service was sub par at best... for my experience at least. Upon arriving I warmly greeted by a gentlemen. I explained what services I needed (I wasn't able to find an online menu to see what they offered/price range). I wasn't offered a service menu. My nail tech spoke to me 4 times. She told me where to sit and proceeded to remove my previous color and cutting. She asked what color I wanted, to wash my hands and when she was done told me to sit at the drying station. She wasn't very 'inviting' to say the least. Meanwhile as I sat at my drying chair I noticed others being offered something to drink and and more inviting personality. While the place seemed very clean I did notice that they use a box to store their tools in. At most salons I go to everything is sanitized in a pouch to ensure sanitation and the punch isn't opened until they are working with the client. I couldn't help but notice that she just opened the box and began using her tools that didn't seem to be sterile clean (had buffing powder on them, perhaps residue of the nail file too). After my service the tools were just put back into the box. My nails look fine, customer service with my tech was just subpar at best. Perhaps I'll give it another try and try another person. I'm very big on customer service and I just don't feel like my tech was up to standard. Other than that the service provided was done good. read more

This place is amazing. Nail places are a dime a dozen in South Austin but this place does some great work. They are very skilled are very accomodating to Walk-Ins and there work is long lasting. The manicures can last for a while as well as acrylic nails and gel manicures. This is my new go to place. read more

We had heard wonderful reviews of this place via the Circle C neighborhood group so I had high hopes with its new ownership. Sadly we had a very subpar experience. I went in with my mom and my young daughter. They were so tough with my daughter, who's had pedicures before, that she told me immediately after we left that she never wanted to go there again. They also managed to cut my moms toe while cutting back cuticles. It was an insult to injury that they never got her the drink they had offered her. My mani pedi was serviceable but nothing extraordinary. They also all looked tired and uninterested. Which I could've understood if it was near closing time, but we went at 4:30. Overall had I gone alone I might've given this place a second try, but with my entire visit in perspective, I can't think of going back or recommending it to anyone. read more

I've been going here for over a year whenever I need my nails done. I only get my nails done occasionally so it is a treat when I do. I kept coming back because of the cute decor and atmosphere that doesn't feel like a sterile nail salon. Today I went to get a manicure and pedicure and had the WORST customer service I have ever seen. When I showed up there were no other customers and 3-4 nail techs standing around so it's not like they were busy. They didn't offer me anything to drink and didn't speak a word to me the entire time. They completely rushed through my manicure and pedicure and it looked terrible, literally like a child had done it. I'm not joking when I say they finished both my manicure and pedicure in less than 10 min. The nail tech that was shaping my finger nails wasn't even looking when she was filing away on them. They are now shaped super weird and the polish looks terrible. She didn't clean up the polish that got on my skin and you can see where she didn't get the top coat over the color. I was looking forward to having a relaxing morning getting my nails done but this was the total opposite of that. They were rushing so quickly it made me more anxious than anything. I've read the comments and seems that a lot has changed in 2 years. I was seated immediately, and given a choice of which type of pedicure I wanted. They ranged from 30 minutes to an hour long and in price from $25-$45. I've had better service by being offered water, etc but that was in Dallas! No stars from me if I could. Unfriendly and rude staffs all around, especially the man sitting at the front manicure bar. The new management raised the prices by at least 25%. Went in a few times after the new management but never got a friendly service. A couple of times they cut my cuticles too deep and caused bleeding but never apologized. The last time I went in for a pedicure, they asked me to soak my feet in the tub but no one helping me after 30 minutes wait. However, there were few customers were serviced by two or three of their staffs. I left after the water had gone cold. I would've felt ok if they'd asked me to wait at the lobby, not my feet in the water, for 30 minutes. Terrible customer service and no communication with customers. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON Unless you like viral infections. This is the most disgusting place I have ever been to. It is very dirty and non-hygienic. We had to ask out of four people getting pedicures to have the water replaced in two of the feet station because there was floating debris. We had an appointment today for four pedicures and one manicure. We waited for an hour to be served and we had Appointments scheduled. They did a horrible job overpriced. Normally I don't review unless its 5 stars but I felt this needed a review. The place was very inviting and clean, but the lady I had doing my french gel manicure was not the nicest. She would pull my arm quite hard to where she wanted it and was not very nice with her instructions. She didn't ask how I liked my nails shaped or how thick I wanted the white on the french. She also only applied one coat of base, white, and top coat, which at other salons I normally get two coats of at least the white and the top coat. She was very rough in pushing back my cuticles and in doing so made my cuticles bleed on both pinkies which made the rest of the experience a bit painful at times. Also, when she was doing the white part of the french 2 other employees were hovering over me watching her, one smelt heavily of cigarettes. It felt very weird. This business would have gotten a "5 star" BUT other than the receptionist, the manicure people are NOT Friendly!!! I have been here several times, including today. Stephanie gave me a very good manicure, BUT NOT Friendly. I was trying to converse with her, but she seems like she was disconnected, just doing her job. When completed she did not say thank you or anything......... I only go here when I am short on time, because it is near my house. There are other manicure places that are MUCH MORE friendly. Recommended by a friend who said get there early. I was the first customer through the door. They did my manicure at the same time they did my pedicure. I was all done and in the drying station in under 30 minutes. More like an express oil change place than a salon. The result sloppy polishing. I'm so disappointed. After i moved to the drying station no one came to check on me and after about 25 minutes i started to leave and someone came over and told me i needed to sit there for an hour. The polish was just globbed on I think i could have sat there for like 2 hours i guess and it still not been dry. Also removing the callus's on your feet is extra not much but still extra. Probably the number one reason a person has a professional pedicure and it is not included in the service. Not going back and will remove their polish in a bit and redo that part myself. Also, most salons have you pay before they put your polish on so you don't goober up your nails reaching into your purse. This salon did not and of course I goobered up one of my nails. This is a treat for me...and I left super disappointed. read more

I'm not one to post negative comments about places but I did not have a good experience here on New Years Eve. I love getting my nails done as a way to relax and this was anything but relaxing. I made an appointment for both me and my mom at the same time. We were seated next to each other and someone started her manicure. A half hour after my appointment someone started on my nails. My mom was already done, she was told to go wash her hands and before grabbing her Watch and purse they seated the next person in her seat. I had one person start on my nails and half way through had someone else switch in. My manicure was VERY rushed and the nail tech cut me with the cuticle cutter twice. I did like how my nails turned out but 2 days after I got a shellac mani my polish started to chip. Needless to say I was very disappointed with my experience. read more

This place is pretty good. Got pink and white and it was exaxtly what I wanted. Was offered a drink right when I sat down. Very nice nail techs. My only complaint is not really a complaint but I had him take off my old set to put on a fresh one. Instead of soaking them off completely he just drilled them down. So my nails didn't look like I got a new set more like just a fill. But the price was right and I got a nice hand massage:) read more
