My meal here was awesome! They have two menus for sushi and for more bar-forward food. I ordered off the sushi menu and my date got a sandwich, the waiter warned us that it might timed poorly bc of the two seperate kitchens, but it came out together and they were both great :) sushi bowl had plentyyyyyy of fish that was very fresh. If I had one complaint my drink tasted pretty weak, but I'd totally come back here :) read more

Less than one star. Negative 92929 stars for this embarrassment of an establishment. 1. The reviews on this restaurant are so spot on. READ THEM! There is a clear pattern in the reviews. That being said, apparently I had to see for myself. 2. The food is horrible but interestingly enough that is their best asset. 3. The wait staff is super friendly- the OWNER, however, is the most despicable human being I have ever encountered. To sum up the highlights of the most horrifying interaction I've ever had with a human being: A) we were "guaranteed" a table for the eagles game at 4:10 pm. We were seated around 2 pm. At 4:15, the waitress informed us that a private party would be coming in at 5:15. Fine, things happen... so we respectfully asked if they could accommodate us at another table, since that after all that was why we were there .... the owner told us too bad, not his fault that the girls who seated us were misinformed. (I should mention this is after we just paid a $300+ bill because the waitress was ending her shift). B) he ( the OWNER) asked my brother and cousin if they wanted to "take it outside." Yes, this actually happened! He also continued to taunt us saying "where are you guys eating dinner? I WILL BE EATING HERE, while You're out in the cold!" It felt like a middle school cafeteria. C) after hearing this absurd question, I asked the owner if there was a better way to approach customers and he told me that his response is to "always get angry and often kicks people out." Yes, a grown man said those words. D) when My sister in law informed him that we would write a review on yelp and his response was "oh no! Not yelp!" in a mocking voice. Anyway, I love Stratton and am currently on my way to speak to their customer service office. I will return to Stratton but rest assured I will NEVER, ever set foot in that establishment. The owner was the most horrible human being I've ever encountered in my life (and I'm from NYC). AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Even if your fave football team is playing! The owner is VERBALLY ABUSIVE. read more

Ugh. Why do I continue to come here? It's AWFUL. Food is mediocre at best, silverware and dishes are still dirty, service has worsened and they are in NO WAY equipped to handle any sort of rush. That being said, I've visited in the summer and had the same problems. Seems I never learn. Also- I just have to say.... Never, ever, ever, anywhere in the country have I seen a kid's menu priced at $12-$18/meal. This is obscene. My 3 and 4 year olds will take 2 bites and be finished and you'd like me to pay $24-$36 for that?! If you try to split a meal, you will be informed that there is a charge for splitting. I hate places like this that nickel and dime everywhere they can. My advice: be smarter than me and AVOID. read more

The staff was fairly nice, however the actions and words of the hostess were incredibly inappropriate. She was extremely rude and should quite frankly not be working here. Completely ruined the experience for us and we will be warning people of her. read more

Generous portions. Very good service. Good, basic food. Cocktails were great. Considerably overpriced. $20 for a burger. $18 for an old fashioned. Charge extra 4% to use a credit card. read more

Meh. That is what comes to my mind if you said to me " hey we are in Stratton VT, wanna go to Mulligans"? Don't get me wrong, I'd probably go if for no other reason than there is not much else to do in Stratton VT on a Friday night in August. Hey at least the beer is cold and plentiful. The food however is meh. It's not awful, but it doesn't stand out either. The chicken is chickeney, the fish and chips is, fried and not good for you, and the cole slaw is inappropriately warm. The kids ordered clam chowder and it was ok, not legendary. And that is kind of what you get at Mulligans. Everything is ok, nothing is outstanding, and you get the sense that this place gets by on being one of the only games in this pretty small town. The kids liked the ice cream, and we appreciated the waitress telling us that one dessert is enough for 3 kids, and it really really is. You have been warned. *disclaimer* my wife just saw me writing this and objects to the "meh" rating. She says she very much enjoyed her chicken dish and thought it was quite tasty. I think she should get her own Yelp account if she wishes to opine. Whatever I still say 3 stars is appropriate, and frankly our nice waitress is boosting what would otherwise be a 2 from me. read more

Melanie was great! But WTF? No side of sweet potato fries just a full $10 order?? They need to change that. Food was delicious and atmosphere was great. Thanks again Melanie read more

If you're tired from being on the mountain and just want quick dirty food and a beer than this is your spot. If you're not too tired to taste your food.. than keep walking. It looks like a cool looking spot that should have tasty pub fare but it didn't hit the mark. The burger was dry and flavorless despite boasting locally raised beef. The fish sandwich wasn't consumable. The batter was soggy and not seasoned and for some reason they had melted American cheese on-top... weird. This place is also pretty expensive, nothing on the menu is less than 15$ which is more than one would expect for pub fare... Drinks are decent with lots of options on tap. Try Vermont own magic hat or a maple liquor hot cider! read more

Pretty average but I guess it's good enough for a ski field restaurant Pros: atmosphere, drinks selection (decent beer selection including local and international, micro and commercial brewery). Good serving portions. I liked the be ribs and the flatbreads. Cons: the waiter we got seem to have something missing in him. Need to ask multiple times for him to register our request. read more

As there aren't too many options to try at Stratton mountain, My girlfriend and I headed here on our first night. It was exactly what we expected: average pub food, and a bit overpriced. We started with the thai spring rolls, which were ok, but obviously frozen. We both had burgers (hamburger and a veggie burger), and both were satisfactory. The rolls were good, but the fries were a bit over-battered. Not too disappointing, being one of the only options available. read more

This place does not have good reviews but my fam bam and I really enjoyed this place! We came here during the "off season." We were on a fall foliage tour and Stratton, VT is one of the places that we hit up. Mulligans was in walking distance to our hotel and only one of two options for eating. Anyway, they had a $15 stuffed lobster special which was DELICIOUS. It was sooo good and soooo cheap. I also ordered their french onion soup which was tasty. Mom ordered NE clam chowder which was solid. And my brother ordered some sausage/broccoli rabe pasta dish which was not bad either. Our waitress was excellent. The hostess left me wanting but not enough to deduct a star. All in all, a very good dining experience. read more

We enjoyed our meal. Service was excellent, our meals were good and the portions were generous. My husband had the prime rib special which included dessert and salad. I had the pappardelle with shrimp, sausage and broccoli rabe, easily enough for 3 meals. The only negative was that dessert was $9.00. The price wasn't listed on the menu so it was a bit of sticker shock when the bill arrived. Overall a very good experience. Looking forward to baked stuffed lobster tonight! read more

Husband and I dined here during a ski getaway in January. We visited mid-week and chose Mulligan's because it was walking distance from our hotel. The food was good: i had the onion soup, turkey ciabatta and a glass of chianti; my husband had the chowder, 14 oz steak and a specialty beer. We each had a specialty coffees for dessert, which were terrible. Way too sweet. I was frustrated by the prices. First, there are no prices on the menus for the specialty drinks. Their Bloody Mary's look great, but you have no idea what they cost. Dinner here cost more than our dinner at a fine-dining establishment the night before. A turkey sandwich should not cost $14. The restaurant is also showing its wear. Our table top was coming apart, and the decorations in the place are covered with dust. It's a fine place and good location. But if you are up for a 10 minute drive, go visit the Perfect Wife. You'll get a classier meal, in a beautifully appointed restaurant for less. read more

7.25$ bottle of Miller lite. Really. She says well your in Vermont are you kidding me. The bartender said kitchens closed. However six meals have come out of the kitchen. While I sip my 7.25 dollar bottle of Miller lite. Well I'm good with that after the reviews I've read. Thank god the kitchens closed. read more

This place is great for 1) convenience 2) beer and 3) nachos! It's not particularly special but after a long day on Stratton it's a great place to crash. They carry Glutenberg gluten free beer which is great! It's fairly family friendly so there are many kids running around. The Green Door Pub down stairs is more adult oriented with pool tables. read more

This was a great place to recharge after a long day on the mountain. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, the food was delicious and filling and the staff was super friendly. The drinks were great and I can't wait to go back again next year ! read more

My family and I went to go have a nice time, to enjoy the weather! The hostess was the rudest person I've ever met in my life. Wouldn't give us 5 minutes to get everyone together to go to our table. Started giving us attitude for no reason, even to my 16 year old child. She wasn't professional at all. She cursed us out and threatened to physically move us. The place looks absolutely welcoming but definitely not the staff. Definitely will not be coming back. read more

Mulligans is a solid Pub in the heart of the village. Despite all the bad reviews we went there few times and it was really good. The place is very cozy, huge bar. There are also big booths and an upstairs with a balcony. We got there to get few drinks, everything was close to perfection. They also have hot wine which is rare to find in NY which is always a plus. They have a nice happy hour and good bar food. If your ever down in Stratton this is always a nice place to grab a few drinks. read more

My visit was in mid September which is not high season for a ski resort, that said, there was ample staff on hand to handle the onslaught of folks that came in within 1/2 hour of each other and filled the dining room. We were all attending a dance event and there was a dinner break. When I came in with my friend, for a reserved table, there was no one in the joint. We were joined by SOME of the table, but the others sat elsewhere upon arrival. We thought perhaps our server was unaware of that since she served several other tables between our drink order and even coming back for our food order. We had to reach out and stop her to get her to take our order. Once she did come for the order she was terrific and PATIENT as we asked for separate checks up front. She managed quite nicely to take the order, but messed up 4 of 8 orders. We adjusted except for one that had to wait while a new Lobster salad was produced (which was excellent and HUGE) 4 of us ordered burgers and ALL of them were not per our order. All were overcooked. I asked for mine mooing and it wasn't even pink on the inside. The others ordered medium and the burgers were so overcooked they were hard. We collectively were not impressed but survived just fine. The server was a hoot and moving as fast as she could, they teamed up well too. I had a small chowder, and burger and fries, and 2 soda waters, my bill (with the included 17% gratuity) was $27. Not great considering the quality of MY food, but others had excellent quality food at the same table. Go figure? Maybe the chef is just lousy at burgers! read more

Stratton isn't like Stowe where you have a nice little town with at least a few decent dinner options after a day of skiing. When you stay at Stratton for the weekend you're at the mercy of the few restaurants in the mountain village within the resort. Mulligans is a two-level eatery with the ambiance a half step up from Applebees. There's also a bar in the basement with live music, but it looked a bit sketchy early in the evening, perhaps we were too sober. The menu is typical pub fare, but the good news for celiacs is that everything is marked with GF. Despite the menu markings, I'm not entirely convinced anyone is too familiar with the allergy, nor am I confident that they really do have a dedicated gluten free fryer so I'd stay away from the fries. Good draft beer selection downstairs and we had no complaints about the service. The food was ok, but nothing overly memorable. Burgers and fajitas didn't disappoint, but also didn't really justify the inflated Stratton mountain prices. read more

The food has improved throughout the years. I love this place. However I wish they would go back to dark green walls and animal heads.

Good location, great place to share stories, good bar, burgers are OK. Because of location a bit overpriced but with few competitors in village the place packs a crowd. read more

I have been a loyal skier of Stratton Mountain for about 40 years and now I am a home owner on the mountain. I love the mountain and I have always found the customer service amazing. I am constantly raving about it, but today, the hostess at Mulligans in the village left a very bad taste in my mouth. I have never been spoken to as I was today. I waited over an hour for my table and my buzzer went off as the rest of my group was arriving. Since a couple of people were parking, I was told to step aside until the whole party arrives. I did so, but when I came back a few minutes later, she told me i would have to put my name back on the list as they don't hold tables. I explained that my party was parking, which was why everyone was not there when the buzzer went off. She then got nasty and said " I cannot a stand here talking to you about this. Step aside lady, I'm done with you." I never once raised my voice, but I was treated as though I did something terribly wrong because I thought we would have a few minutes to gather our party or at least be given the next available table. Even if I had to back to the end if the list and wait another hour, I should never have been spoken to that way. read more

Mulligan's was one of the few options at Stratton Mountain. The outdoor seating is nice. I had a burger, which was okay. I wish I could've gone down the road to Whiskey Dicks, where I ate the night before. That burger was so much better and cheaper. read more

* A place for tasty fried chicken* We ordered buffalo wings. What arrived was fried chicken wings (wingdings). Not what I expected, but I can't complain. I mean... they're really tasty southern-style fried chicken wings. Apparently that's how they do it. There's a selection of mexican/carribean chilis on the rack if the buffalo dip is not spicy enough. In Summary: Tasty fried chicken Fast service Convenient location read more

The restaurant is exactly how it is rated; it is three stars. It is perfectly fine but not extraordinary. If you order the weekday lobster special, you get a great deal. I highly recommend that lobster special. The restaurant was not well air conditioned, but it had decent beers on tap and was accomodating for a large group. Absolutely recommended for a stay at Stratton Mountain, but not worth traveling out of your way for. read more

This restaurant was really disappointing. All of the other negative reviews are spot on. The food is mediocre at best (although the sushi bowl was pretty decent). Our appetizers ALSO never came out. When we alerted the waitress she gave zero fucks and never apologized. Once the food was delivered she failed to check on the table once, or she may have noted that my entree (soup) never arrived either. We we received the bill, the soup was still on it. We asked her to remove it and AGAIN no apology or at lease an acknowledgement that she cared that one of our party did not get their food. They charge a $5 fee to split an entree which is pretty ridiculous. Don't waste your money here. There are plenty of other better restaurants. read more

I have got to agree with the person who simply said meh. The ambiance is that of a unique Applebee's, the table placements are odd, and the food is unremarkable. I've been there twice and while the service has been great both times, everything else is so bland that it's not quite enough to save it. The last time we went, my party of four got seated at an odd table on the second floor in the corner of a hallway. Anyone going anywhere else on that floor walked right past us eating, and right next to our table seemed like a good place to stop and wait for the rest of your friends to catch up to you. It was very bizarre and put a damper on my meal. The Green Door Tavern downstairs is a total dive. We went there instead of Grizzly's because they had a Grateful dead cover band, but I definitely wish we had gone to Grizzly's instead. There was a $5 dollar cover, not mentioned until you got to the door. And not 5 minutes after getting there I was cornered not once, but twice, by a completely wasted guy trying to hit on me. The patrons when we went were all either totally drunk spoiled 20-somethings, or older people enjoying the band. The drunk ones have no respect for personal space and no manners. I almost got into a fight with a girl when I asked the guy she was making out with (the same guy who cornered me earlier) to give my boyfriend and I some space and stop knocking into us. If this is your type of thing, have at it! But otherwise, be a real adult and go to Grizzly's for your après. read more

My wife and I stopped in for lunch after a morning of snowboarding and were relieved to find that there was no wait at the lounge near the bar. Our server was a bit rude and inattentive. Took nearly 15 mins to get our drinks, Mulled wine, served in a wine glass? Not traditional, but whatever. We ordered our lunch, and kept it pretty simple, wife got a grilled cheese and I a buffalo chicken sandwich(both of which were around$15).What arrived on my plate was a grilled chicken breast half heartedly "pulled" with half still in breast form. Absolutely no flavor either, seems as though they just added a free drops of hot sauce on top. Ended up just splitting the grilled cheese with my wife, leaving the mess o' chicken on my plate for the server. When the server came to pick up the plates he never asked how anything was, because I'm sure he knew the answer. 1 of 5 skip this place if you can. read more
