Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. The ambiance was great, our waitress was very friendly but the food fell short in several ways. The imperial steak and fried rice were noticeably over-salted, which overpowered the natural flavors of the ingredients. Instead of a balanced and enjoyable meal, it felt like I was battling the seasoning. While the menu had potential, the execution left a lot to be desired. My favorite dishes of the night were the crab and shrimp Shumai, popcorn spareribs and the soup dumplings. The dessert was delicious. Service was polite, but it couldn't make up for the underwhelming food. It's disappointing because I had high hopes for this place. I really enjoyed my time here. My only complaint is we had to wait for our table even though we had a reservation. The table beside us had the same thing happen to them but they were offered a complimentary glass of champagne and we weren't (we wouldn't have known if we didn't converse through the night). I had the Pearl River and Lucky You which I enjoyed. The Pearl River is good for you if you like spicy margaritas but it's very light on the spicy side. Lucky You is great if you're into mezcal as that is a very distinct taste. I did not know what to expect with the Youtiao Avocado Toast dish especially since I don't like mushrooms but I wanted to try something new and it was delicious. We ordered chicken dumplings as well which tasted pretty standard. We ordered the cantonese fried chicken which feeds 2-4 people and it was only two of us so it was plenty of food left over. I loved my dessert which was the Cake Out Box. It reminded me of a strawberry shortcake with lychee flavor and icecream. Our waiter Francisco/Francesco was amazing!! We got chicken dumplings, chicken, wings, and cucumber salad. The chicken wings and cucumber salad were just a tad bit too salty with the overseasoning. The chicken dumplings were great with it being not too override, and the filling was just enough. Service: our server was good, he made sure that we got everything we needed and the food kind of fall one by one. There were other staff that made sure our waters are filled, and plates were cleaned. Ambiance: it's a great place for mid 20s and up; they do check IDs upon arrival during the night. I was so disappointed by this place, and so excited to go originally. The menu is lacking a lot of authenticity ... (avocado toast?) We were a little confused by the cocktail menu, none of the drinks really spoke out to us, so we just went with a bottle of wine which was fine. My husband and I came here for our anniversary a few nights ago and had the most amazing time! The food and drinks were delicious, the decor (down to the plates!) was beautiful, and the staff were beyond fantastic. Our server was so sweet to us, even before she found out it was our anniversary. As locals who dine out several times a week, we were excited to try this new restaurant in Seaport, but our experience was extremely disappointing due to how rudely we were treated by the manager. We walked in without a reservation, and the host assured us that wasn't a problem, seating us at the dumpling bar (left to the bar). Our waiter was friendly, and the plum tea was delicious. However, after we ordered and had been waiting for a while, a woman approached us -- without introducing herself -- and abruptly asked if we had a reservation. She then *told* us, not asked, that we had to move because the seats were reserved, despite the fact that the host had seated us there. Even after we explained that the host directed us to those seats, the woman insisted we move to two open seats at the bar, offering no apology for the mix-up. Reluctantly, we agreed, but when we got to the bar, the bartender told us those seats were also reserved, leaving us in a very awkward position. We explained to the bartender what just happened. She said the manager didn't tell her, and the reservation is not for another 20 minutes, so we could sit there if we wanted to until they arrived. We were shocked that the manager did not even check to see if the seats were available before she offered this alternative! First, we were asked to move, and then we were being asked to wait and eat our food in under 20 minutes! It blew our mind that they thought this was the best way to handle the situation and it would be ok to treat their customers this way! The entire situation was poorly mishandled. At this point, our waiter came over to update us on our food, and she was completely unaware of the chaos. We explained our frustration and that we were feeling completely disrespected by the lack of professionalism. We left and will not be returning. We do not recommend this restaurant, and we will let everyone we know not to dine there. read more

Unfortunately Chinese restaurant but don't have white rice. The beef dish, I don't remember the name but it cost $100 for that dish but it was too salty and probably the worst dish out of all we ordered and they don't serve white rice to go with it so I don't know how people can eat that alone. We ended up have to go to another restaurant to fill us up after cuz we still hungry. For your info, we had 8 people, 4 appetizers each 2 orders, fried rice 2 order, shrimps 2 orders, Chilean seabass 2 orders, vegetables 2 orders and 1 order of beef and we were no where near full nor content. Below average Chinese food at luxury prices. We had high expectations going here, considering ruka is my favorite restaurant in Boston, with Yvonnes in second place. What makes thise restaurant great is that they have very creative menus, with a lot of shareable small plates, that are always executed perfectly. Despite being part of the same restaurant group, the menu in Mr H is just standard chinese food- maybe a few dishes here and there that are more creative, but mostly not. Everything we ordered was far worse than any average restaurant in chinatown- the soup dumplings barely had any soup, and were very bland. The chicken dumplings- very oily, and bland again. The prices were absolutely outrageous - $20+ for each dish, that only has 4 dumplings!! Again - if this had some creative touch, or was somehow special, it wouldnt have minded, but that price for 4 regular dumplings is just a huge rip off. We spent almost $100 per person and then just gave up on ordering more dishes and ended up going to five guys to finish dinner, absolutely ridiculous! read more

The interior was very nice, but multiple people in my party had allergies and they wouldn't accommodate to them. The allergies include peanut and shrimp. The waitress proceeded to tell us they couldn't accommodate. Then we asked for the chef and she proclaimed that they only had two fryers in the back and every thing is cross contaminated. So frying chicken and shrimp separately couldn't be done, or using a whole new batch of oil couldn't be done either. Then she became passive aggressive and told us we could go to another restaurant, "didn't you read the menu before you came here" and usually "people with allergies don't eat". Which I found strange because they ask about allergies at the door. Many restaurants accommodate to allergies, but this dining experience was my first time having service like this. Very upsetting and anyone with severe allergies shouldn't go. Other than that the food was decent at best, over priced for the portions. But very upsetting on our end. read more

Food was good but cocktails weren't the best. One of the servers spilled chili oil all over one of our party's shoes, and didn't even apologize. When we asked for some soda water to help wipe it off, the supervisor brought us a cloth, said they were out of soda water, and then we were told our 2 hour limit was coming up.
