Despite being a nationwide pizza chain, this particular MM in Berkeley is Top of the pizza game. We almost ordered from the usual Sliver, Zachary's or Little Star but Mtn Mikes had the best and most recent high stars Yelp reviews. Yes, I admit we read Yelp to choose from the numerous options. The Berkeley location is busy (a good sign), they make their pizzas to order, as ordered, super reasonable, hot, cheesy, flavorful and fast. We ordered the day before and they called the morning of delivery to confirm our large order. The Manager Kamal got it 100% correct, was very courteous and appreciative for our business. Anytime we need or crave pizza this Mtn Mikes will be the 1st choice. read more

Went here with some friends, not knowing what to expect. The pizza was great, and the pepperoni are unlike anything you get anywhere else! Highly recommended. Great food, though a bit greasy. read more

Delivery was super fast, and the food was good too. The slices were cut pretty small, so really do not think NY style slices, because that is not what it is, but it was perfect for my family. I think I would like to try some of the other stuff too, not just pizza. read more

Absolutely great pizza. Some of the best pizza I've had recently. Was in town with my son touring Cal and the Yelp review convinced us to give it a try. Sooo glad we did. We tried 2 different pizzas and both were great. Can't compare it to other places in the area, but cannot think there can be much better. read more

Delicious pizza! Was skeptical at first about trying it, but now I know I'll definitely order again!

Is this how they serve pizza up in mountainous regions? Went in because they had slices. Seriously? Tired, dried up little slivers of pizza for a buck fifty each? The gal said I could get the " buffet" for ten bucks and get all I can eat plus salad. I look at the salad and it's just as miserable. Wilted and brown. Pass. read more

This is probably my favorite place to eat. This pizza place always deliver the best quality food and service. I recommend this pizza to anyone looking for the best pizza for the price. Thank you mountain mikes on San Pablo, we'll be back very soon. read more

Mountain Mike's Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Berkeley, California

See all

went for the buffet and got there early so thought it'd be easy for them to make the pizza for the buffet they ask me for. I asked for a sizzlin bacon classic and promptly got it, they didn't bother making any more so i thought i'd ask for a different one and the lady who took my order got mad and asked why didn't I ask for all of them at once but come on... you weren't even making breadsticks or even a simple pepperoni for me to choose from. I asked for the chicken pineapple luau and angrily took my order. As you can see from the picture they made a tiny and poorly made pizza (and i mean poorly made as in barely any toppings and the cheese fell off cause there was too much sauce on it) and she saw me take a photo and told me since i was the only one here thats why they made it like that even though it wasn't really good... as soon as more people came in for the buffet as well they quickly threw it away and made a better version of the SAME pizza I asked for, what a rip off, by the time they made more pizza i was full from my original order and left disappointed. you guys need to work on your customer service and food quality, last time I came you guys had rust under your cheese shakers. just some advice for your business... read more

Mountain Mike's Pizza - pizza on the left was a normal one, the one on the right was just awful and falling apart - Pizza Near Me - Berkeley, California

Great service . My kid loves the cheese pizza. Really appreciate our essential workers who are keeping us fed through this pandemic !

Did an order through Yelp Eat24 for two personal pizzas and mozzarella sticks. Everything was pretty decent, but the usual issues of getting delivery through a third party applied in full. Since the mozz sticks weren't hot, they obviously weren't great. Same goes for the pizzas. They were a good size for personal pizzas, generous on toppings, but the dough had gotten chewy and anything less than melty cheese is sad face. read more

We love this MMP. It's clean and friendly! The staff is customer service proactive. The pizza is always good just what you'd expect from a MMP. We are repeat customers for sure! read more

I order a lot of lunches for our company as we have many client meetings throughout the week. Amarjit and the rest of the crew at Mountain Mike's always come through for our last minute luncheon needs. Plus the food is always fresh upon delivery. We will continue to use them as long as our company is here! Thanks again guys! read more

Absolutely love this place!! I had to order about 10 pizzas for my daughters bday party. I called a few places, but when I called Mountain Mike's, Garinda was SO friendly and kind. She had such a sweet demeanor about her. When I placed the order, she gave me a 15% bday discount! The pizzas were already very reasonably priced. The day they delivered it, the delivery guy (sorry I forgot his name) was the kindest, sweetest man. He was SO gracious. The pizza was also delicious, piping hot, and delivered right on time. He even offered plates and utensils, and wanted to set everything up for me. What an awesome experience from beginning to end :) read more

I ordered delivery from the Eat 24 app and placed an order at 715pm. Didn't get my pizza until 850pm! Estimated delivery time was 804pm. I called to ask for the status of my order at 810pm and the girl on the phone had attitude and said that it was on the way and that I have to consider traffic. Mind you my hotel was only 15 mins away. I ordered almost $100 worth of food. When I finally got my food it was cold. Never ordering from this place again. And I will definitely won't be recommending them. read more

Mountain Mike's Pizza - Cold food - Pizza Near Me - Berkeley, California

Regular Cali-style pizza, whatever that is. Thick crust, Pizza hut style. Decent if you need something quick and on the run. Generic pizza place, but that may have been bc I ordered a cheese pie with olives, and it came as a pizza with mainly olives, lacking most of the body of the pizza (cheese and sauce). While other reviews rave about the buffalo chicken and other specialty pizzas, perhaps they should also hone their skills on a regular plain pie, too. Probably will not return. read more

I recently moved to Berkeley from Socal. I love ordering my pizza for poker night from this location. Family run establishment, friendly and always super courteous. I have picked up and obtained delivery both are superb. The extra large pizzas are huge, and the pizza is delicious. I usually order the vegetarian minus the artichokes and add pineapple. Quality ingredients, always plentiful as well. Try them out you will be glad you did. Happy customer here. Best Tejinder Ordered today 3/18/17. Delicious Love this place read more

I recently had the opportunity to take a fellow employee to lunch. I was very pleasantly surprised at how efficient the kitchen was how quickly they serve us. We had salad which was fresh, and a small pizza which is baked perfectly I had a very pleasant experience read more

I ate at a couple of Mountain Mike's growing up in the Bay Area and one came onto San Pablo Avenue recently. The pizza's decent, but in Berkeley you definitely have a wide range of options and price ranges. Mike's is alright in my book on account of its value in terms of delivery. It's of a much higher quality than West Coast Pizza, and about the same price (and not as good as Lanesplitters, in my opinion, but far cheaper). read more

Once again, thanks to Yelpers I discovered a phenomenal surprise! A tasty reasonably priced pizza in the Albany area. We ordered the 20" mountain size Everest. The woman over the phone graciously applied a $5 discount to the order. The huge meat pizza came in just under $37. My husband came back happy. He said that the family running the restarant was pleasant and the parking was very easy. The pizza place is across the street from Acme bread on Cedar and San Pablo. The thin crust made it easy to eat without being too overwhelming. Given the generous meat toppings, the 3 (adults) of us agreed that a large would have suited us just fine. Anyway, the true test of good pizza is the reheat test. I reheated the leftovers today for lunch and it was still great. Soooo happy to have found them! read more

Always call ahead of time and their estimates of time is spot on. Most pizza places always make you wait but not here. If they do the 2/13 times I've been here they've offered me water or complimentary things while I wait. 100% always worth going here. Never ordered delivery but always nice to come here because the customer service is spot on. read more

This is the premier pizza for a generous price! Bring the kids plenty of space to eat and have a drink while the kids eat at there own table! Lol sorry we have sons friends with us often. Great parking we love the pizza. read more

You know the phrase; "Pizza is like sex. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty good."? SO not true (in either cases)! Bland pizza and the crust had a card-board like quality that tasted like it had been frozen. The delivery was prompt and courteous, so I guess at least they have that going for them. 9/19/16 Update: The manager (or owner) just contacted me about my review. He was very nice. I should probably mention that most likely there was nothing wrong with this location in particular. I probably just don't like Mountain Mike's pizza. read more

I never thought I would write a review about a chain. But this pizza is awesome. My old standby is sausage and mushroom but to make my boys happy, I skipped my usual place and even ordered their favorite...Pepperoni. I silently congratulated myself on being a selfless dad and for my willingness to take one for the team. Then checked to make sure we had enough bread to make myself a sandwich. When the pizza came the fellas offered me a plate and I accepted it. The slices were thin and the pepperonis were cooked just so. Each slice of pepperoni was curled up a bit at the outer edge, deliciously crispy. Paired with the zesty sauce and perfect crust, it conspired to make a slice of heaven. I was shocked. I would never have ordered a pepperoni pizza in a thousand years. Bless you lads, bless you! It took a few months before I would dare order any of my favorites and they turned out to be fantastic too. But still, that pepperoni is a work of art. I feared it was a case of all the planets in the culuniverse aligning. But no, they have been spot on, every time. I highly recommend this place for a great pizza. read more

I was a bit bored at work today and uninspired as to a Friday lunch spot, so I just decided to try this for delivery based on the Yelp reviews. I'll give it three stars based on comparison to other chains like Domino's, Roundtable, Little Caeser's and the like. They have a nice user interface for the on-line ordering system, and delivery is reasonably prompt, although my pizza was warm but not hot on arrival. Good amount of toppings, crust not to my liking as it is kind of thick and soft, not chewy as when you use high gluten flour. Compared to the better pizza spots around town (see my list of faves) this is really about a 2 star place. There are too many really good options in the area for me to add this as a regular spot for delivery, but if you are a chain/delivery pizza kind of person this will be a better bet than others. read more

I like Mountain Mike's Pizza. Their pepperoni pizza is one the best from any chain pizza place. I especially like this location because all the people working there are consistently friendly and thoughtful. Good pizza and great people! read more

Update: Managers called me to clarify situation, apologized for the mishap. Agreed to give me back change. I really appreciate them reaching out to me so quickly. Like I said below, I like this place a lot but this was an unusual experience. Lesson to take away is either pay with card or be ready to pay the exact amount with tip. Managment team I give you 4 stars. Before managers called. I have ordered here before and usually I like their services however this past experience left a sour taste in my mouth. I ordered a gluten free pizza and a salad to go. As per usual the person delivering my order called to notify me that he was here but it seemed he still needed some directions to my building. I had decided to pay cash because I thought it would be easier and I would be able to get some change. Instead the person delivering had no change and took 40 dollars for one pizza. Now, this just really pissed me off because one, I already have to pay A LOT more because I am gluten free and two who doesnt carry cash if they are delivering?? I would love to speak to the managers because I would like to get my money back or at least the change they owe me. So for those that plan on ordering I would recommend never paying them cash because they will just rip you off. read more

Ordered this pizza with much anticipated hype. DOES NOT LIVE UP. Maybe it was because I ordered late (9.20pm), but maybe it's just the way it is, but the pizza was no better than a frozen DiGiorno's. DiGiorno was right. It's not delivery -- it's DiGiorno's... (Not to mention the pizza cost $30. No way that's worth it) read more

We ordered a huge pizza from Mountain Mikes and it was delicious and big enough for a family of four to eat for a few days lol. We also had the delicious wings and a mini sausage pizza. The crust is crunchy and delicious but not to thick. The toppings are plentiful and quality. read more

5 star flavor! Ordered the Snowy Alps, no mushrooms, added fresh basil and pineapple. Thin crust. 10" small. 5 star convenience. Used Yelp! to identify who delivered in my new neighborhood; ordered through Yelp!/Eat24; used saved payment info from a previous restaurant order. In about 5 clicks, my order was taken and I could view what time the pizza would arrive. 5 star service. Got my pizza exactly when the app said I would. Paid the tip in advance using the app, so he literally handed me my dinner and that was IT. 5 star food. Hot, fresh, delicious. Prepared exactly as I ordered. Meant to eat a couple slices and have the rest for work tomorrow. Forget about it. Crushed the entire thing. read more

Chicken Club Pizza= AMAZING!!!!! delivered fast and fresh the chilli wings were amazing !!!

The pepperoni pizza is always good wherever you go. The wings here though were dry, and definitely lacking sauce. The end.

Food arrives so quickly it's still too hot to eat when they bring it. They put little zigzag cardboard in the boxes to prevent the pizza from getting soggy. Innovative pizza recipes I haven't seen before. Crispy crust. I've ordered there about 10 times. They are consistently good, never had a bad experience. You can tell by the little things that this place is run by thoughtful people who care about what they are doing -- unlike, for example, a moving company I used recently, that broke irreplaceable items and made nothing but excuses(check my reviews). read more

The pizza was excellent but the highlight of my experience was the delivery man, Amarjit Singh Sidhu. I had a terrible day and didn't feel like going out so I ordered in. I paid with my credit card and was so tired that when my pizza came I paid him again in cash. He tried to call me twice but my cell phone service in the hotel is poor and I couldn't hear them. He drove all the way back to my hotel to give me the cash I paid him. He could've easily not bothered and stupidly, I probably wouldn't have noticed. His honesty turned an awful day into a better night. You've also gained a loyal customer. Thanks again, Amarjit.. more than you know! You're the best!!!! -Evangeline read more

As chains go, this is pretty good stuff. We had about an hour to order, eat, and get to a concert at the University's Greek Theatre. Mountain Mike's was right by our motel, and in spite of my desire to try something more local & unique, I acceded to my companion's yearnings for a gluten free pizza. The atmosphere in there was lively but sane, with people enjoying pizza, wings, beer, salad, and the NBA Finals game in which Golden State managed to beat my Cleveland Cavaliers. (Don't despair--I love the Warriors, too.) But I digress. My friend loved her pineapple pie, and my "Mount Veggiemore" (mushrooms, black olives, bell peppers, artichoke hearts, and fresh tomatoes) on regular crust was very tasty. Good texture, too. A bit pricey, but we had enough left over for breakfast, and we got to our show on time (pizza in hand). We even got there with enough time to check out a guy screaming his head off about how we need to accept Jesus, insulting anyone and everyone in his path. (We're all going to hell, by the way.) read more

I had been looking for a new go-to, regular-type, pizza place for a few years. The pizza places around where I live (that aren't the higher-end places) either have poor-quality product, unpredictable product, or the staff is flat out rude (or all of the above). Every time I've come to this place, I've been treated kindly. Raj, the manager, is AWESOME, and when I last complimented him on how great of an experience I've had coming there, he was honest in his gratitude, but he also said that it was due to his staff, which I thought was the TOP END of classy. Yes, there's been the odd mistake here and there, but Raj and his team really work hard to make everything all right, through good communication, and just plain friendly customer service. As long as this family is in charge, I think I've found my new go-to pizza place. read more

It was late, little was open, this was en route. I can't believe how much Yelpers let me down! Almost 5 stars?! What a joke. I knew it was chain pizza, and didn't even have high expectations. But it was horrible. And not cheap... do NOT do it unless it's an emergency and everything else is closed and you are starving to death. Even then, I regret it. read more

Great selection of gourmet pizzas. BBQ chicken with pineapple was amazing - and at a great price when they honored our coupon.

Probably the worst experience. I ordered they eat 24 and it took two hours and three phone calls to the store to find out they never processed our order. I submitted a request to Eat 24 for a refund and then the manager of the pizza place called to tell me I had to pay in cash since my card payment had been cancelled. He was so rude to me and totally not apologetic. I had people over watching a game and our night was ruined by way 24 and by this location. NEVER Again Update : the owner called and offered a sincere apology and provided a free pizza and free delivery. It came quickly and we had no issue, thank you ! read more

Pizza: blatant Round Table imitation. Round table is better and should sue them. Salad: lettuce was rotten/old looking. Summary: waited an hour and Paid 30$ for a bunch of trash. read more

Great pizza! The quality of ingredients was great and the pizza had tons of toppings, including real, fresh veggies with great flavor. Plus it was delivered within 20 minutes on a Saturday night by a super nice and warm man. There are a number of boring thin crust pizza places in berkeley, plus the typical Little Ceasars, etc. chains, and this is easily the best for crowd-pleasing pizza and delivery. read more
