went for the buffet and got there early so thought it'd be easy for them to make the pizza for the buffet they ask me for. I asked for a sizzlin bacon classic and promptly got it, they didn't bother making any more so i thought i'd ask for a different one and the lady who took my order got mad and asked why didn't I ask for all of them at once but come on... you weren't even making breadsticks or even a simple pepperoni for me to choose from. I asked for the chicken pineapple luau and angrily took my order. As you can see from the picture they made a tiny and poorly made pizza (and i mean poorly made as in barely any toppings and the cheese fell off cause there was too much sauce on it) and she saw me take a photo and told me since i was the only one here thats why they made it like that even though it wasn't really good... as soon as more people came in for the buffet as well they quickly threw it away and made a better version of the SAME pizza I asked for, what a rip off, by the time they made more pizza i was full from my original order and left disappointed. you guys need to work on your customer service and food quality, last time I came you guys had rust under your cheese shakers. just some advice for your business... read more

Did an order through Yelp Eat24 for two personal pizzas and mozzarella sticks. Everything was pretty decent, but the usual issues of getting delivery through a third party applied in full. Since the mozz sticks weren't hot, they obviously weren't great. Same goes for the pizzas. They were a good size for personal pizzas, generous on toppings, but the dough had gotten chewy and anything less than melty cheese is sad face. read more

Absolutely love this place!! I had to order about 10 pizzas for my daughters bday party. I called a few places, but when I called Mountain Mike's, Garinda was SO friendly and kind. She had such a sweet demeanor about her. When I placed the order, she gave me a 15% bday discount! The pizzas were already very reasonably priced. The day they delivered it, the delivery guy (sorry I forgot his name) was the kindest, sweetest man. He was SO gracious. The pizza was also delicious, piping hot, and delivered right on time. I called to ask for the status of my order at 810pm and the girl on the phone had attitude and said that it was on the way and that I have to consider traffic. I have picked up and obtained delivery both are superb. The extra large pizzas are huge, and the pizza is delicious. I usually order the vegetarian minus the artichokes and add pineapple. I ate at a couple of Mountain Mike's growing up in the Bay Area and one came onto San Pablo Avenue recently. The pizza's decent, but in Berkeley you definitely have a wide range of options and price ranges. Mike's is alright in my book on account of its value in terms of delivery. It's of a much higher quality than West Coast Pizza, and about the same price (and not as good as Lanesplitters, in my opinion, but far cheaper). read more

If they do the 2/13 times I've been here they've offered me water or complimentary things while I wait. 100% always worth going here. I never thought I would write a review about a chain. But this pizza is awesome. My old standby is sausage and mushroom but to make my boys happy, I skipped my usual place and even ordered their favorite...Pepperoni. I silently congratulated myself on being a selfless dad and for my willingness to take one for the team. Then checked to make sure we had enough bread to make myself a sandwich. When the pizza came the fellas offered me a plate and I accepted it. The slices were thin and the pepperonis were cooked just so. Each slice of pepperoni was curled up a bit at the outer edge, deliciously crispy. Paired with the zesty sauce and perfect crust, it conspired to make a slice of heaven. I was shocked. I would never have ordered a pepperoni pizza in a thousand years. Bless you lads, bless you! It took a few months before I would dare order any of my favorites and they turned out to be fantastic too. But still, that pepperoni is a work of art. Once again, thanks to Yelpers I discovered a phenomenal surprise! A tasty reasonably priced pizza in the Albany area. We ordered the 20" mountain size Everest. The woman over the phone graciously applied a $5 discount to the order. The huge meat pizza came in just under $37. My husband came back happy. He said that the family running the restarant was pleasant and the parking was very easy. The pizza place is across the street from Acme bread on Cedar and San Pablo. The thin crust made it easy to eat without being too overwhelming. Given the generous meat toppings, the 3 (adults) of us agreed that a large would have suited us just fine. Anyway, the true test of good pizza is the reheat test. I reheated the leftovers today for lunch and it was still great. Soooo happy to have found them! read more

I was a bit bored at work today and uninspired as to a Friday lunch spot, so I just decided to try this for delivery based on the Yelp reviews. I'll give it three stars based on comparison to other chains like Domino's, Roundtable, Little Caeser's and the like. They have a nice user interface for the on-line ordering system, and delivery is reasonably prompt, although my pizza was warm but not hot on arrival. Good amount of toppings, crust not to my liking as it is kind of thick and soft, not chewy as when you use high gluten flour. Compared to the better pizza spots around town (see my list of faves) this is really about a 2 star place. There are too many really good options in the area for me to add this as a regular spot for delivery, but if you are a chain/delivery pizza kind of person this will be a better bet than others. read more

The pizza was excellent but the highlight of my experience was the delivery man, Amarjit Singh Sidhu. I had a terrible day and didn't feel like going out so I ordered in. I paid with my credit card and was so tired that when my pizza came I paid him again in cash. He tried to call me twice but my cell phone service in the hotel is poor and I couldn't hear them. He drove all the way back to my hotel to give me the cash I paid him. He could've easily not bothered and stupidly, I probably wouldn't have noticed. Food arrives so quickly it's still too hot to eat when they bring it. They put little zigzag cardboard in the boxes to prevent the pizza from getting soggy. Innovative pizza recipes I haven't seen before. Crispy crust. I've ordered there about 10 times. They are consistently good, never had a bad experience. As chains go, this is pretty good stuff. We had about an hour to order, eat, and get to a concert at the University's Greek Theatre. Mountain Mike's was right by our motel, and in spite of my desire to try something more local & unique, I acceded to my companion's yearnings for a gluten free pizza. The atmosphere in there was lively but sane, with people enjoying pizza, wings, beer, salad, and the NBA Finals game in which Golden State managed to beat my Cleveland Cavaliers. (Don't despair--I love the Warriors, too.) But I digress. My friend loved her pineapple pie, and my "Mount Veggiemore" (mushrooms, black olives, bell peppers, artichoke hearts, and fresh tomatoes) on regular crust was very tasty. Good texture, too. I had been looking for a new go-to, regular-type, pizza place for a few years. The pizza places around where I live (that aren't the higher-end places) either have poor-quality product, unpredictable product, or the staff is flat out rude (or all of the above). Every time I've come to this place, I've been treated kindly. Raj, the manager, is AWESOME, and when I last complimented him on how great of an experience I've had coming there, he was honest in his gratitude, but he also said that it was due to his staff, which I thought was the TOP END of classy. Yes, there's been the odd mistake here and there, but Raj and his team really work hard to make everything all right, through good communication, and just plain friendly customer service.
