Came here for a quick breakfast. Food was as great as always. I am most impressed by how high of a bar they set themselves for all these years. I first came here 6 years ago and this place has never let me down. Not once. Thank you as always for being the greatest. Service was fast. You do have to bus yourself, but it's not a big deal. The ambiance is good, but I wouldn't say that's the most inspiring aspect of this restaurant. But it's beginning to feel like a neighborhood gem that you shouldn't ever skip! Strong recommend.

Located towards the end of The Ave with plenty of street parking. Once you enter, you are greeted and asked to order prior to being seated. The decor is very chic with cafeteria style seating and trinkets all throughout the restaurant. We ordered The Fast Break and The Spanish Fly. Both were similarly structured with their own style for each Sammie. The biscuit had a nice texture, the eggs were cooked well, and the savory brought everything together.

I've lost count on how many times I've gone here. The place is usually lively on the weekends since there's also a farmers market hosted on the street. It's self serve and seats are somewhat limited when it's busy, but I usually don't have to wait long. We ordered: The Fast Break - Even through my countless visits I stay loyal to my one and only, The Fast Break. Their sweet and tangy tomato jam is my absolute favorite. I'll never get tired of it. The Spanish Fly - My friends usually order this for a fresh and savory breakfast. My second favorite next to the Fast Break.

We stopped into Morsel for brunch one Sunday afternoon with a craving for biscuits. The staff was nice, it felt like a neat little breakfast diner, and the service was fast. The biscuits themselves were good! A little crisper than I prefer, but it was a good biscuit. The gravy wasn't my cup of tea. Having grown up in the south, I'm used to a very specific flavor profile for sausage gravy, and it just didn't hit the mark for me. It wasn't bad by any means, probably just some addition of extra spice like extra sage or maybe rosemary that just didn't sit exactly well with my taste buds. My wife's BEC was great! They have some sweeter options I'd love to try next time I go as well!

This business needs your support. The kind (and very cute) owner let me know that they need more business this summer. I've been coming here for a long time, and not often enough lately. Today I ordered a dirty chai and a biscuit and gravies with half mushroom and half pork sausage. Please rush over here and bring all your friends. The music is good, the booths are comfortable. And on a Sunday there's tons of parking if you need to drive or light rail is super close. Delicious food!!!

Came here from a recommendation that these were one of the best biscuits In Seattle. I got the Spanish fly and it was delicious. Super savory. The egg was runny, and everything was well balanced. A solid breakfast spot that specializes in biscuits and breakfast sandwiches, and it definitely delivered. We ordered the Fast Break sandwich on both a cheddar chive biscuit and a buttermilk biscuit. The sandwiches were stacked and flavorful, and the biscuits were the star--flaky, buttery, and perfectly balanced. Not dry, not soggy--just right.

I visited Morsel for a weekday lunch and it wasn't too crowded at all. A couple of things to start: this is a counter service establishment - order at the front, pick up in front of the kitchen area, bus the tables, etc. Items that include biscuits have a surcharge for higher tier biscuits. E.g. ordering a $14.75 sandwich with a Biscuit Special will be 75 cents more. Pricing seems quite steep, but tax is already included. With that being said, pricing still seems to be quite high for the size of the biscuit sandwiches. The Spanish Fly w/ Biscuit Special ($15.50) - The biscuit special, pickled onion cheddar, is quite good. It's very buttery, moist, and fluffy on the interior, albeit not particularly layered or flaky, but with no hint of dryness. The exterior is nice as well, being toasted until a crunchy crust develops. There's plenty of cheddar baked inside, although I'm not sure the pickled onion comes out all that much over everything in the sandwich. For the fillings, they first start with melted manchego on the bottom that's extremely bubbly and is toasted to the point of almost becoming a cheese crisp on the edges, while the interior still remains stretchy. On top of that lies a piece of prosciutto. I was expecting the typical cold cured piece of thinly sliced meat, but they actually fry the prosciutto, which transforms it into something similar to bacon in both cured saltiness and crisp. On top of that is an over easy egg, the yolk already punctured before service, spilling all over the side to be used a dip for the sandwich. A bit of arugula, spicy and bitter, lie on top, followed by a smear of pepper aioli. The aioli is very sweet pepper forward in flavor with no heat. After assembly, I believe the entire sandwich is then toasted as a whole so that's it's served entirely warm. (4/5) Overall I found the biscuit sandwich to be good, but a bit on the smaller side for the price. I'd love to go back to try some of the biscuits by themselves rather than a sandwich. Firstly to judge the actual biscuit quality by itself, but also because I'm not sure it's worth the additional $11 to upgrade the biscuit to a sandwich. Bathrooms - Two unisex rooms

This place gets really busy on the weekends so keep that in mind in terms of wait times. It's especially busy during the u district farmers markets. I got the fast break and did not like the cheddar and chive biscuit that I got. The biscuit was very dense and hard, but also dry. The tomato jam was not to my pallet so it just may be a personal preferences thing, but it was really sweet and I did not think everything went well together with the bacon egg and cheese and then the biscuit together. Felt a bit disjointed as a result and I think there's better breakfast sandwiches to be had elsewhere.

When there's no signage or branding except for a free standing chalk board, you just know things will be either very good or very bad...so happy to say VERY GOOD. Though the decor is kinda awful-trying way too hard to be artsy but fails. But don't let the phones glued to the wall distract you from the delicious lattes and that glorious assortment of biscuits!

The garlic cheddar biscuit buns were absolutely phenomenal and elevated the entire sandwich. Reminds me of the Dutch Crunch bread from Ike's love and sandwiches. Extremely BUTTERY and textured with crunchy outside and moist inside with each bite. The fillings inside were simple but fresh and the buns made the experience. Tastes way better than it looks. Picture doesn't do it justice. Small little restaurant with sufficient tables and a small menu. They are a bit short staffed so you will need to bus your own table. Also offer self served water and condiments. Their signature chili sauce condiments were amazing.

I've been wanting to try morsel for months now and I finally rode my bike there and had a delightful experience. The biscuit was on point! Flaky in the way that makes you pause and appreciate layers. It was warm, lightly golden, and the chives went together well with the bacon and egg. And then there's the tomato jam!!! I love me some tomato jam so this is why I opted for the "Fast Break" sammie. It's just sweet enough to lift the biscuit, tangy enough to keep things interesting. I wanted a pile of that tomato jam on my plate honestly. Like my other reviews I dig my sauces!!!! I'll be back. It was very filling and I didn't even need to eat for the rest of the day! The workers were kind and upbeat and very welcoming once you walked in the door. Interesting decor inside too! Good vibes!

This hole-in-the wall place is located next to the University of Washington campus. Parking could be hard to find but luckily, there is a safeway across the street and you could see your car from within this eatery. Their biscuits come in two flavors: buttermilk and curry. I tried both and the curry wins out by a large margin. The flavor is just unparalleled so if you are adventurous, try the curry biscuit. I ordered sausage gravy for my biscuits and was not disappointed. The food came out fast, hot, and tasty. If you plan on coming here, be prepared to wait in line for about 30 minutes and trying to find a seat could be difficult. However, it is well worth the wait! read more

Some places just live up to the hype! These biscuits are great. If there are better biscuits somewhere, please tell me. In the meantime, these are heaven-sent. The jellies are not too sweet. Taking a couple of these to eat at the summit of a hike is a GREAT idea. The biggest downside to this place is the wait, which was kind of "fun" the first time but I'm sure will be annoying on further visits. Open more locations! read more

Jesus these are the best biscuit sandwiches I've ever eaten. Like truly no other breakfast sandwich compares. I always get the one with prosciutto (which they do not skimp on) but my friends like the classic sandwich with equal enthusiasm. The biscuits are delicious, the lattes are good, and I have really been enjoying this place pretty much on a daily basis until 2 days ago when I encountered a very unpleasant and rude front of the house employee (dark long hair and tattoo sleeves, said his name was Brandon) who has no customer interaction skills, an attitude issue and despite his arrogance can not keep orders straight. In addition to being treated poorly while ordering food and drinks, I received wrong coffee drinks the last few days. I won't go back until this individual is not serving customers anymore. read more

The biscuit was amazingly good! I got the Spanish fly which was pretty basic. Just egg, bacon, arugula but the reason that they got 4 stars is from their sweet onion biscuit. It was so flaky and crispy. My bf got the goat one and i would say this one blown my mind. Their tomato sauce took it to the next level!! read more

OMG! I can't express how mouth-watering this place is. The line was super long when I went, but it was worth EVERY BITE! One of my overall favorite dishes is Biscuits and Gravy, and it's hard to find a place that doesn't make heavy gravy and tough biscuits. This place specializes in both perfectly seasoned gravy and the softest, fluffiest biscuits around. Even though the line is long and there are endless amount of customers, the employees are joyful and have a smile on their face when they ask you what you want to order. I very much enjoyed my overall experience eating here and will be returning when I can! read more

OH MY GOD. This may be one of the best meals I've had in my life. This hole in the wall is absolutely phenomenal. Even though I was in Seattle for only a few days, my friends and I came here twice because it was just too, too good. Both times I had the cheesy biscuits with the regular biscuit and the flavors sent me over the moon. I'm not even a big fan of biscuits but I find myself craving Morsel's biscuits because the biscuit itself is amazing. Its crunchy exterior juxtaposes its interior which is buttery smooth, slightly dense, and perfectly warm. It was like eating a warm, fluffy pillow that melts in your mouth. I also got an iced Mocha which was solid. But let's be real - I'm here for the biscuits. read more

I'm afraid to say I was surprised by the reviews this place has. The service was alright, however the building itself was crowded with little seating for small groups, and was less clean than I had hoped. The food was ok I suppose. Difficult to eat given than the sandwiches are made with thick biscuits. The bacon was lacking, and the sauce was like a cold marinara (unpleasant given that it was a warm breakfast type sandwich). I wouldn't say that the experience was worth the price. read more

This place is special. The biscuits here are different in texture and consistency to any I have tried before. The outside is crispy while the inside is soft and buttery. You won't be disappointed if you come here. The eggs in the are scrambled/omelette style by default, if you want them fried you'll have to mention that when you order. They also offer gluten free biscuits. read more

Wow what a gem in Seattle. While Morsel is a small store with limited seating they serve the best egg sandwiches around. The buns are toasty and even flake off as you bite into it. I got the Spanish Fly. The bacon, arugula and house sauce with the egg will ooze into your mouth and is delightfully delicious. Pro tip: Go on a Saturday. Even if the line is long you can take it to go and eat it as you walk around the farmers market across the street! read more

biscuits are my favorite thing so I was really excited to try out this place! pretty standard diner set-up inside, seat yourself after ordering, etc. service was quick and efficient, staff was friendly. i ordered the spanish fly on a buttermilk biscuit and i'd highly recommend it! the biscuit was crispy on the outside and fluffy & buttery on the inside and was incredible. the prosciutto was nice and salty/sharp to cut through the biscuit, the fried egg was good for the instagram #yolkporn brunch aesthetic, and the arugula was just for garnish like all vegetables are. price-wise this place is very similar to Biscuit Bitch, but I prefer this place because their biscuit sandwiches are very solid, while Biscuit Bitch seems to be more famous for their biscuits&gravy menu items which tends to be a lot heavier. both places are very solid so for biscuit lovers i'd definitely recommend this place! read more

Biscuits? YES PLEASE! Honestly the best biscuit place in the u-district Their employees are fun, friendly, and very polite. Ive never had a bad experience here. I love how their biscuits are baked fresh on the daily. I also love how there's sweet options (like a biscuit + jam) and also savory options (like biscuits n gravy or biscuit sammies). There's a very homey and cozy vibe in this place. Its not big so its not good for large parties, but this is the place to catch up with friends while bonding over delicious food. read more

Instant awesomeness as soon as I opened the door and walked in. Authentic place and people-very engaging staff. I ordered the Fast Break on a bacon biscuit. I mean...why not go for it all! Fun, small spot for breakfast/brunch. Mostly buttermilk biscuits but the combos they put together are good - I got the fast break with tomato jam. Super filling. I was just hoping for some dairy-free options but I survived. Also ordered a latte with almond milk that was ok. I think I just had to adjust to the homemade lavender syrup I had with it that made it a bit different but after the first few sips it was enjoyable. I'd stop by again when in the area bc I want to try some of the spreads I didn't get to like the honey fig. read more

This review is for 3.5 stars. I've been here once before, but decided to try it out again since I was in the area and had some free time after the nearby farmer's market. The Spanish Fly was solid, biscuits were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but nothing too special. It's a little pricey at $8 each, I'd have to order two to fill me up. For $16, I'd rather go to a real sit down brunch spot for a full meal. Biscuits and gravy w/ sausage were good! Gravy was nice and thick just like how I like my women, j/k. This would probably fill you up more and it's only $6.50. read more

It was packed when I got there--a line forming outside. But it was definitely worth the wait! It's a nice little place, I heard it expanded from down the street. The workers were so kind and looked like they enjoyed working there. The food came out really fast and we were able to find a table. Definite recommend for a quick sweet treat. read more

This place also stays open much much later (4:00 am, every day) than the the cafeteria and the gift shop (which also sells some snacks and coffee)--- see the pic I posted for the updated hours since what was originally reported was way off. Due to that convenience, it also tends to have a line during the morning and early afternoon hours, and every time I've walked by. There is no seating area since it's a small shop but the UWMC has tables and chairs outside; just past the Cascade elevators. Today I stopped by at around 5:00 pm and luckily there was only one person in front of me. I bought a Smokey Chicken Bacon Melt (pre-packaged). It was very tasty and probably would've been even better if I toasted it, or at least heated it up. But I was too lazy. Although it was delicious, the size was certainly not worth about $7.50 (includes tax). Probably would only stop by here again if I actually want a coffee or don't have the time to go to the cafeteria for food.

We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

Must come in case you're in the zone! I was in U District for seven days. Subsequent to having this on Wednesday, I quit investigating other nourishment and returned for 3 days in a row for breakfast. Their espresso is likewise great and solid. I'll attempt to return at whatever point I'm in Seattle. The Spanish fly on buttermilk was astonishing and would be my go to on the off chance that I lived in the region. 5/5 Their pork bear uncommon was astonishing on cheddar chive. I had this one twice in multi day and it was similarly heavenly the second time around. 5/5 The quick break was great, yet paying the additional $1 for the Spanish fly will influence your morning to go from great to incredible. I just have an image of one in light of the fact that the others I ate up too rapidly. read more

was this place called nook before? that was what i was expecting when i came, but maybe i'm confused as usual. this review might be kind of biased because i didn't get any fancy biscuit sandwich or dish. was in a rush and just wanted a biscuit with spread. ordered a regular one with hazelnut chocolate spread (pretty much just like nutella). it took almost 20 minutes to get it!! they only had one man working the biscuits and one man as the barista and i understand they were just going down the line of orders. but i wanted something quick and this was not it. maybe i just hit a bad time. the biscuit though was soft and flaky. dunno if it's worth almost $4 and the spread was ehhhh just nutella-ish. might go back and try something that's supposed to be better. read more

This place is outstanding! Not just the food, which is great, but the friendly, warm, welcoming atmosphere is incredible. Every staff member creates relationships with every customer from the moment they walk through the door. On my second visit, the barista and the owner already remembered my name, and the barista remembered my what i had the day before. I had only been there once! The thing thats great about this place is they really want your experience to be amazing, and if it isn't, they want to know. The owner will go out of his way to make sure you have the experience you wanted, and doesn't stop until it happens. I will gladly give all of my grandchildren's inheritance to this place! read more

It came highly recommended to me by a buddy for good reason-- the biscuits were perfect; oversize, flaky, moist and various "toppings" were a minor added price as well as a nice surprise. I 'd one of the daily specials, a cheddar-jalapeno biscuit with herbed goat cheese and bacon jam! One word: Amazing! Particularly considering that I 've high biscuit standards and greatly favor straightforward and nicely do food over "inspired yet lackluster." This place will not disappoint. It was grey and cold, with rain in the air and the farmers market was in full swing. Breakfast made sense and Morsel seemed ideal. We both ordered 'The Fast Break' w/ Avocado and the Cheddar and Chive biscuit. The wait was reasonable all be it somewhat disorganised. The biscuit was good in texture and was ideal for a sandwich since it could maintain its structure. The flavour of the biscuit itself was lacking and that was a theme throughout. All ingredients separately were cooked well, but no flavour was particularly prominent aside from the Tomato jam which was somewhat overpowering given the lack of flavour elsewhere. read more

Portions are tiny and way overpriced. Go to Portage Bay Cafe if you're looking to spend a reasonable amount of money for quality food. It's not that much more expensive than Morsel, but has bigger and tastier portions made with local ingredients. They also have incredibly delicious coffee with unlimited free refills vs Morsel coffee which tastes worse than Starbucks, while being more expensive. And Morsel had a pro-antifa sticker in their restaurant - that's a sticker from an organization that commits political violence, assaults journalists, and is literally classified as a terrorist group according to the FBI. read more

I love to go to Morsel. The biscuits and gravy are like what my grandmother used to make when I was a child. Before I found Morsel, I had not had them in a long time. Seating is very limited and there is a line out the door on Saturday when the nearby farmers market is in session. Today I learned that securing a table before placing your order at the counter is called 'table sniping' and is wrong. I usually place a take-out order where they will package the gravy in a separate container so that I can pour it over the biscuits at home. read more

Best breakfast and coffee house in Northeast. The staff is super friendly and down to earth. Capachinos are on point, like a small latte, none of that foam business. I recommend building your biscuit with what you want, mine comes in on the frugal side so I eat here way too much. The biscuits are great, like they are fresh from the South.
