My sister and I came in right as they opened on a Monday morning. We both wanted a full set. There were two ladies in, and only one did acrylics. So i went first then my sister. Service was good. But they need to have more employees able to do all services. My sisters nails were rushed because someone that came in after us was complaining about time. Horrible experience. Unfortunately, it was my first time trying this place. I had gel on my toes and needed to remove prior to doing my pedicure.. it took 45 min for my nail tech to remove the gel on my toes and she still did not remove completely.. I made it clear that I was not happy with the service and no longer wanted to continue with my pedicure. The person doing my manicure just said "thank you" after removing my gel x and he no longer wanted to proceed with doing my gel manicure. I was very polite to the staff and instead of them fixing the problem they chose not to continue with the service. I won't be coming back. Communication is key! HUGE COLOR SELECTION for normal polish (I don't get gel on my toes). Price $: Great price! Can't complain. Service: Very polite and friendly! Atmosphere: Soft, relaxing music. Only one TV playing vintage TV shows (Little Home on the Prairie) with the captions and no sound (love! hate tons of noise in a nail salon). Classic Pedicure: Perfect water temp. Delicious smells. Exfoliating was gentle. Massage was just the right amount of pressure. Polish carefully applied. No complaints! I wish this was my local salon. I hate to leave this kind of review but I am going to be completely honest. I had gone to Moon Nails for quite a few months, I wasn't too happy with a set I had gotten so I tried new techs and stayed away from Moon because I was pleased elsewhere. However, June 10th 2024 it was the day before my flight to Chicago and I needed my nails done really bad. I decided to go to Moon considering I had only had 1 unsatisfactory experience with them in the past. The staff was usually always kind and that brought me back. On June 10th I received the set you see and all of my nails were done in one shape. By the time I boarded by late night flight I noticed they just didn't feel sturdy. By the time I landed in Chicago the next morning 2 of my nails had broken randomly which is why 2 nails looked like they were square shaped. I couldn't immediately return to get them fixed because I was out of the state, so I called them right away. They told me they'd give me a call back - they did. With knowledge that I only got my nails done to go out of town, they said they would fix them when I got back. I let them know that didn't make sense when ALL of the nails were unstable and on the way to breaking. The lady Helen refused to issue even a partial refund - keep in mind I tipped $20 extra on the day I received service- I ALWAYS tip. I was extremely annoyed and just asked that they remove the nails- I AM NEVER COMING BACK. I hate to know that I am a good customer that tips & get treated that way. When I landed back 3 days later I went to get them removed and they were acting very strange. Didn't even offer a simple manicure after the removal. This was the most unpleasant I have ever been made to feel at a place I was familiar with. To make it worse, my pedicure was peeling right away. A literal waste of money and I had to get a full set and pedicure somewhere else. Never again will me or my sister return here. read more

The Moon Nails team does very nice work. My mom and I had manicures and pedicures. The results were exactly what we wanted. I would have given them 5 stars in their attention and work but rating a 3 because there was another customer at the salon with a screaming child. This made the experience much less enjoyable and unnerving. They should not allow children to be present if they are of an age that requires constant pacing, entertaining and they are crying, fussing or moaning. I had to argue with the lady because I did not have time. I had my mom in the car and was going to take her to an appointment. My niece has beautiful long natural nails which she take care she just wanted a design, no cutting cuz she invest time taking care of her own nails I just wanted to make her feel spoiled a little bit with the design for her nails The woman who started her nails without asking started cutting her nails without asking if she wanted them cut but i told them when they ask what we wanted I clearly said JUST GEL NOTHING ELSE , I told her please don't cut her nails she just proceeded saying she needs them cut the shape don't look right " She continue cutting her nails she CUT them small and my niece I saw her face she wanted to cry cuz I know how much she invest taking care of her own nails she just wanted a design She cut her nails on a square shape without even care I was repeating please she don't want that , My niece show her a picture before , about what she wanted was an almond shape with design, She just painted her nails a natural color with no design and said she was done. I ask someone else I guess a woman in charge or idk If she can finish my nieces nails and they started arguing saying my niece didn't show the picture about what she wanted I was having a pedicure they came to my seat one of them yelling idk what.... Arguing with me that my niece was wrong I just tell them to don't do anything else , I finish my pedicure just because my daughter nails were done , The only thing I wanted was leave never come to this place again The service is horrible they don't listen to you if you ask for something else they proceed to do it with a bad attitude towards you and their job is bad and if you tell them something is wrong they don't care they just get mad and do nothing to make the situation better this is a service that you are paying don't waste money on a horrible service find a better place you are paying you don't deserve a bad attitude towards a service you are paying to get !!! read more

decided to try this new place n wasn't satisfied with my nails a month later i went to get a removal and the guy in the front laughed bc he thought i did them turns out the lady who did my nails originally was fired after 2 weeks there, he then told me that the next time i would come the nail set would be free, i came back to give them a second chance and when i told them what he told me the staff said i was lying and that he never said that, i should've gotten it in writing, if i could give less than one star i would edit/reply: my nails barely lasted, the lady who did them (who was also fired after 2 weeks of being there bc of the customer complaints, as he told me) who not only did a bad job but also pushed me to do gel-x bc it was easier for her, were lifting so bad that i had to cut a nail off from the pain, when i went to get the removal i didn't even go to complain i went to pay to get them removed, n when i told him who did them he kept apologizing, that's when he offered to do my nails for free and the removal for free it all came out of him, he said "next time u come, come to me and they will be free" i thanked him several times n this led me to rethink abt going again, don't say i didn't thank him when i did, if u changed ur mind just say that u don't have to lie read more

Yesterday was my first time here I called to ask if walk ins were welcome and they asked how long i would be till i got there. i advised them about 40 mins. i got there and there was about only 3 workers who were each assisting others. i got there at 515pm and left around 9pm. At first i was a little upset having to be there so long but you never know if they are understaffed or what the situation is. i never complained or said anything but was as patient as possible. . well we were waiting they handed out waters to everyone which i was really thankful for. Besides the amount of time spent there. It was a really good experience. Although they closed at 7pm they were still accepting people at 630pm for walk ins. and still continued to help me and my daughter knowing they close at 7 they took their time with everything and never rushed the quality of work that went into our manicures and pedicures it really had me blown away i never got the feeling they were trying to rush us out to go home. because to be honest when it's time for us all to leave work we want to goooo. when it was time to leave my daughter was carrying her shoes out and the guy came to her with a bag to put her socks and shoes in. it's always the little touches one adds that leaves a good impression.
