My mom and I love the Polished Nail Bar! Annie and her staff are always warm and welcoming. The vibe is very calm and relaxing, which we enjoy while we're getting our pedicures. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Annie. The quality of my nails was poor, and they looked rushed with very little attention to detail. I expected much better for the amount I paid. What upset me the most was how my concerns were handled. When I told Annie that I wasn't happy with how my nails turned out, instead of trying to fix the issue or offering any solution, she told me there was nothing she could do. She came across as rude, had an attitude, and made me feel like my concerns didn't matter. As a paying customer, I expected at least an effort to address the problem, not to be dismissed. Customer service is just as important as the quality of the work, and unfortunately, this experience fell short on both. I left feeling disappointed and won't be returning. read more

My daughter went in for Gel X after saving up some money. She showed the technician what she wanted and was told they could do it. What she got was a very mediocre version of the requested nail design, yet the fee was $130. After going home and thinking about what happened, she called the place and asked to speak to a manager. She was hung up on and then they refused to answer her calls. She went in person and was yelled at and they threatened to call the police if she didn't leave. We always try to support our Downey businesses but a young girl (anyone, really) should not be treated this way. If you can't do the job, say so. If there's a concern from your customers, you should listen and try to address the issue. Gave it 2 stars so it's not deleted but that quality of workmanship and customer service does not deserve 2 stars. Do better. read more

When we first arrived, the experience started off well. Our group of four was celebrating a friend's birthday. Once seating became available, three members of our group were placed together for services, while my 8 year old daughter and I were seated separately on the opposite side of the salon, which limited our ability to enjoy the group experience. During the visit, the manager greeted part of our group and introduced his wife, giving them additional attention. While this may have been well-intentioned, it created an inconsistent experience for the rest of the group. I requested a basic pedicure with regular nail polish and declined any additional services. My daughter also received regular polish only. However, after reviewing my receipt, I noticed we were charged for gel services that were not requested. For reference, the $47 pedicure was mine, and the $15 manicure/pedicure was for my daughter--both were regular polish services. The total was higher than expected based on what was provided. I chose not to return to dispute the charges, but I recommend confirming services and pricing before payment and always requesting a receipt. Additionally, I later learned the manager apologized to the person who booked the appointment regarding the seating. As I was the one directly affected and still present at the time, it would have been more appropriate to address that directly with me. read more

Paid $100 for my nails, service was an hour and a haaalf only for my diamonds to fall out the same day I knew she wasnt putting enough glue but i trust nail techs and this happens?! On top of this my nail is separating from the builder. This is so disappointing. Its literally been 2 DAYS You replying that i was happy when i left... of course i was happy. I didnt know this was going to happen. That is so frustrating for you to say.... The fact that you're only willing to replace the stones and not help with my nail builder separating is soo disappointing. I was literally a returning customer. This was my 3rd time getting my nails done. read more

I've been coming here for a while and have tried to give this place multiple chances because I've noticed a few stylists who do great work. However, the quality has been going downhill lately. This is now the second time I've left with minor injuries that actually led to bleeding, which I tried to overlook before. What really gets to me though is the inconsistent pricing. I used to pay around $120 for a gel mani and gel pedi (with removal). This time, I paid the same amount but didn't even get gel polish on my feet , just a basic cut, removal of polish, and ingrown removal. No scrub, no upgrade, nothing. On top of that, my manicure was rushed, no cuticle oil, no lotion, just finished and sent on my way. I'm a pretty understanding person and know mistakes happen, but at this point it feels like I'm being overcharged for less service. Even after the inconvenience, I still left a tip because I try to be kind but honestly, this might be my last visit. Please consider being more transparent about pricing with an updated price sheet, because the constant changes and lack of clarity are frustrating for loyal customers. read more

I really love Polished Nail Bar. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here. I've had several services here and they've all been satisfactory. The interior is SO cute with chandeliers and thrones to sit in for pedicures. It's situated near downtown Downey, so it can get busy. Always call ahead to make sure you'll be seen. The last time I visited I was offered some wine (or was it champagne?) it added to the already luxurious feeling. All of the ladies there are nice, professional, the environment is clean. The variety of nail colors is great. As of lately, this has become my go to nail salon. I remember people used to complain about their prices but I don't see the issue. You get what you pay for! I'm happy with Polished Nail Bar and recommend it to anyone seeking nail services. Street parking is always readily available, call ahead to check for reservations, there's a cute coffee shop around the corner and lots of eateries nearby! read more

Love LOVE LoVe POLISHED; my nails are super fly, they look GR8. Annie, the owner, is the BesT; she always accommodates me. My father-in-law loves visiting Polished too, now patronizes for a regular mani-pedi (YES men can get them too, trust me woman love it!). I recommend Polished 2 ALL, Polished accepts walkins but, scheduling is recommended for which the time allotted is saved just for you! I thank my nail technician, I forget her name, for her patience with me (I was catching z's sorry). If you need a manicure, pedicure, full set put on or facial waxing go here you won't be disappointed!! read more

Annie is my go to girl for nails! My daughter and I both have been coming to her for years now. She is the best!!! I have gotten pedicures done by all the girls here and they are all amazing! The front desk ladies are always so sweet and helpful, especially when I'm picking colors because I act like it's the hardest decision ever! Haha But I always feel pampered and relaxed when I come here. Especially since Annie has taken over and upgraded the salon with so many amenities. I came in with my mom and sister on 2/13/26, it was pretty easy to make an appointment, as Annie answered and had us send her our designs before arriving and she stated she'd be able to accommodate all of us at the same time (3 gel-x sets and 3 pedicures). The service was great, they offer complimentary drinks (we got mimosas) and the prices were decent. I was mostly satisfied with my pedicure and even though my nail design did not really come out like the picture, I was willing to look past that because I'm not too confrontational and I know the nail tech tried her best. The paint job was not the best and it started bubbling right away and 2 days after my appointment, my biggest issue is that my nails started coming clean off! Like usually it hurts to break a nail after a set that fresh, it did not even hurt. I'd just look down and a nail would be gone! I lost a total of 5 nails less than a week after getting them done. Also, my mom did not want her nails shaved down for proper adhesion, so she was okay with her nails coming off (her rhinestones did fall off as soon as we left the salon though), but I got my nails shaved and they still failed to stick. My sister's nails are also lifting, and we spent well over $600 here just for this to happen, I attempted to reach out to the owner to let her know what happened due to the fact that I live all the way in Pasadena and I can't easily go out to Downey, however, she did not respond, although she was quick to respond when she knew she'd be getting money. I am so disappointed because I really wanted to like this salon. read more

I had a very disappointing experience. I came in with a gift certificate and had scheduled a regular gel manicure. However, I was charged for a $65 gel manicure upgrade that I never requested. When I brought it up, the staff seemed completely unconcerned about my dissatisfaction. They also refused to honor my gift certificate, which was extremely frustrating. I left feeling misled and undervalued as a customer. I won't be going back -- there are plenty of other great nail salons in Downey that value their customers and provide transparent service. read more

I've been going here a while now and i give this salon a 20/20. My girl nida is amazing at what she does she's a protectionist she examines each nail to make sure it looks good takes her time with each person regarding their pricing , they are very straight forward even scheduling online it tells you the price and says starting at ... meaning it could go up if you add things or upgrade your service. People want any excuse to complain or act stupid then leave a bad review, i don't know how they aren't embarrassed ,I recommend this Salon to everybody see for yourself. These ladies are very welcoming and respectful and honest. They don't over charge you get what you pay for so if you want quality services go to this salon. And they do exactly what you ask for, I'm so happy here and glad my co worker referred me. read more
