1 star because Stephanie was very nice. 1 star because it's by appointment only and they follow Covid guidelines. Minus 3 because my skin was left raw and scabbed the next day. Also, the service is pretty pricey for what it is. Stephanie left some stray eyebrow hairs that could have easily been tweezed. Instead, I took care of them myself. I came here based on the good reviews and photos from happy clients. Unfortunately I didn't get the results those satisfied customers rave about. I understand that stylists work with what you've got but I've had my brows shaped much nicer at places that don't do "mapping" or charge as much. Whenever I need a serious eyebrow wax and tint I go to Mari. She is a bit far from me (I live in Fullerton/Brea area) but she is WORTH the drive. I love going to her because her studio is the cutest and she is honestly the sweetest lady. Whenever I go in she always makes me feel welcome and talks to me as if she knew me my entire life. She knows what she's doing and I only really trust her when it comes to any sort of waxing of my eyebrows. This is my second visit and I was "wowed" like the first time. I've always had thick brows but made the mistake of going to the threading places. They ruined my brows and never shaped them. Mari is a very sweet and knowledgeable, her eye for detail and perfection is what sets her above the rest. My eyebrow specialist that I've been with for 4 years moved away, so I had to start fresh and look for someone right away. I've tried other eyebrow specialists at the Sola Salons in Cypress as well as in Pasadena. They were just "okay." I had really high expectations because my previous specialist was THAT good. I was going to be at the Cerritos Mall for a meeting so I decided to Yelp eyebrow services around the area. Brows by Mari popped up and I read the awesome reviews. I haven't had my eyebrows done in over a month so I decided to give it a try. I messaged Mari and she told me to use the Style Seat app to book the appointment. Mari is located in the Sola Salons across the Cerritos Mall. It's kind of hidden but just follow the signs. Mari was really outgoing and friendly. She talks to you like you've been friends forever. Her suite appeared clean, relaxing, and organized. She takes measurements of your eyebrows and will communicate with you what she's going to do. It was a painless, fast process. I've been seeing Mari for years now and OMG is she the real deal. No one and I mean no one touches my brows (I did a number on them in the 90s when over plucking was in). I've got all the nail shop ladies trying to get at them and i always tell them to hush bcuz if my brow girl even hears them say brows she will come out of the dark like a ninja and whip them. She has helped me grow them back and just recently I was taking a trip to Portland and decided to try tinting. Boy is this a service I'm getting done going forward. Mari is very sweet and knows how to get eyebrows back in shape. However, be aware of your appointment time because you may end up getting in 10 minutes after your appointment time while waiting for someone before you to finish. It happened to me twice so far. I don't feel it's fair to add a charge to your clients for being late/cancelling when the brow artist could be about 10 minutes late to bring you in. Although, I can't complain because her service is amazing. She won't leave you disappointed with your eyebrows. read more

This was my first time getting my brows done by Mari. I booked her off of the stellar reviews she has here on Yelp, but I was really disappointed with my experience. My eyebrows are good, not great, but what was most disappointing was the lack of professionalism and customer service. Mari seems like a cool person and was upbeat, but as soon as I entered she just asked me to sit down--no hello, welcome, how are you, asking what my name was or greeting me by name (referencing my appointment from Style Seat). As a first time client, you think you'd want to make a good impression for a repeat visit. She started quickly on my brows, not once asking me how I normally fill them in or what I wanted, she just started waxing. As a new client who paid for the reshaping service, I thought she would at least explain what she was doing and offer tips on filling in my brows, but nothing. Instead, she spent most of the time remarking on her previous client and her odd behavior and when it was all done just showed me my brows by mirror and asked how I wanted to pay. I was there for maybe 8 minutes. I was really looking forward to this, but expected more of a professional/personable salon experience than I received. Unfortunately won't be coming back. read more
