Really bad service. I came in with existing gel and instead of them soaking them off they filled them down. One of my real nail ended up breaking in half and started to bleed I asked her to soak them and she proceeded to only soak that one off. After that she starts to add gel x coating on top of the existing gel x that she had filed down. I've been to other salons and they soak off existing nails and then add new nails. PLS PLS READ! If you're going to get your eyebrows done pls go somewhere else. I stopped by yesterday to get mine waxed and the lady who did my eyebrows not only did she not leave them even but she also burn my cheek with wax. How do u manage to burn someone? I have been here twice. Both times I experienced unfriendly staff. The worst part is the service. They do a quick mani pedi. No real treatment. They are aggressive. I bled as they pulled on my cuticle very hard. My toe is inflamed and very painful. They didn't even bother to cure it or apply any antiseptics. Negative stars. The worst mani/pedi I've ever had. The nail technician I got was terrible, lady wearing the Prada tennis shoes I'm talking to you. I got a gel mani and regular pedi. She told me the regular color was different than the gel that I picked and convinced me to choose another color. In the end, my toes were a different color from my nails anyway with the same polish color. It must be the brand they use. I think she convinced me to pick a color that was more opaque and less translucent than what I had originally chosen so it would be less coats for her to apply. The OPI polishes are out of reach under the tv. The color book they show you is for the off brand polishes by the door. She cut two of my toes and I later realized she also nipped my middle finger. She cut one big toe, pressed on it to try to stop the bleeding and moved right to the next big toe and proceeded to cut that one as well. I was bleeding and she pressed into it with cotton then proceeded to put some blue liquid on it. It was painful. She never asked if I was okay or apologized. This lady did not care. She only cared to hurry to get to the next victim, I mean customer. I regret not being more assertive, but I hadn't realized she was like this until she got to chopping on my middle finger. Believe me she was fast. Out of my group I was the last to start, but the first to be finished. She also buffed my nails with the electric file, thinning out my nails because she's lazy & wanted to get done quickly. My polish was done messily and my gel didn't even last 2 weeks! I had to bandage my toes after my pedicure. Not the goal after just getting a pedicure. The next two nights my toes throbbed and I was afraid I'd possibly get an infection as I suspect she didn't use clean tools. I'm pretty sure she never opened the clean manicure tool kit. Unless you want to be butchered & risk an infection I don't suggest coming here. I will never ever come back here. TL;DR: I got cut 3x! They only care about profit. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! read more

First time here did not disappoint! I came in as a walk-in on what I expected to be a busy Saturday. I was greeted by a friendly technician who said it would be about 5-10 minutes. She invited me to the color wall and shared, to my delight, that the hundreds of options before me were all available as both gel and regular polish. Usually it takes me forever to find a color, but in this case, I found my match rather quickly. Within 3 minutes, I was seated, and worked on by a friendly technician named Kelley for my manicure and another kind and soft spoken technician for my pedicure. Both technicians were gentle and thorough, and the end result was wonderful! The studio itself is new, clean and cute, with modern decor and smooth R&B playing in the background. It is easily accessed off Lakewood Blvd across from the Stonewood Mall and features a small parking lot behind the building. Prices are great - $24 for a gel manicure and $18 for a basic spa pedicure. They also offer acrylic and dip powder at fair prices. Kelley said they have been busy in their first four months (likely due to location) but are still looking to build their business. If you're in the Downey / Pico Rivera / Paramount / South Gate area, give this place a shot! read more

Please do not waste your time and money I used to love this place. Until I spent $274 on my mothers and my nails. We brought our own paint and foil flakes. Had signature pedi my mom had fresh set and I had fill with two replacement nails. When the nail tech took one of the nails off to be replaced I noticed a green color on my nail. She told me it's because the water was trapped underneath. But made no attempt to seal the nail to avoid it happening again and or worsening. Now my nails look like they have fungus infections and are super painful! I have to be seen and treated for this and I spent so much money and that's not including tip! I'm not sure if they are unsanitary or they are just rushing or honestly if they are just doing shit work and taking peoples money! I would stay away from here. Called earlier in the week to schedule 3 manicures and pedicures for me, my mom and aunt for Thursday at 3pm. Given the amount of school traffic around that time, wasn't able to arrive until 3:10pm. Typically businesses provide a 10-15minute grace period, but not here. They were unable to service the three appointments we had scheduled, and resorted to having my aunt and mom get their nails done. The people here are super rude so just a heads up. Always always always call for an appointment, they don't do walk ins even though their reviews say you can and their displays as well. When you call to make an appointment be ready to call about 5 times because they do not want to answer their phone when they are clearly here to answer. Their gel manicure does not last me more than a week and I work in retail so my nails should do not chip easily when I get them done at other places. The space is clean and only half the staff wear gloves. If you decide to come here make sure you stand your ground and don't let them bully you. I've come here about 5 times hoping the next time will be a better experience and it just gets worse and worse. They attend people who are their "regulars" over others who made an appointment. I had a horrible manicure performed at a nail parlor in Bellflower and my chipped nails looked super ghetto! I'm so glad that Vera Nail Spa was able to fit me in on such short notice. The nail technician worked quickly and carefully. She removed the old gel, buffed my nails, applied cuticle oil and even filed my nails. She did all of this in less than 10 minutes.
