I don't recommend this place. I have been there couple of times, thinking : oh ok maybe this time be ok, to give them another chance, but every time it's the same thing. They have an attitude, and they're rude. They take for ever and they don't do a good job. THEY DESERVE -5 STARS!!!! My skin was BURNED from the waxing! These pictures do not do justice for how bad the burns were. I had been coming here for years and always loved the service. Recently I found it to be very uncomfortable and now I am definitely not ever returning! A goop of wax was put recklessly onto my face and then she carelessly ripped it off. I tried making conversation and she completely ignored me. She was very rude and burned my face. Thank god I didn't get an infection and knew to tend to it with first aid supplies. On top of that, she charged me $5 more than usual!! When I called to speak with James, who is supposed to be the owner. He said he didn't know anything about waxing ??!! so I asked to speak with the young lady who did the waxing. I asked her if she was having a bad day or if she just didn't want my business any longer she laughed and said no she wasn't having a bad day and because I had a little more hair than usual she charged me the $5 extra. I told her I still had hairs on my face and mustache area and she told me to come back and she would take it off but after feeling extremely uncomfortable and her hurting me I didn't feel safe. She told me also to come get my $5 back. I was so upset and frustrated I said whatever and hung up the phone. The next day is when I noticed the burns along my cheeks and chin/neck area. So now I am posting this review and I'll be contacting better business bureau. All they care about is taking your money and they probably talk mad crap while they are working on you as well. My mother and I have spent hundred of dollars here and that's the customer service I receive in return. SHAME ON YOU !!!!! read more

So today I got a mani and pedi One woman did my pedicure, she was super nice and did a wonderful job. However, the woman who did my manicure was horrible. She kept pushing for me to get acrylic nails. I told her it would be fine if she put tips on but I need them very short for work. She said okay, she put the acrylic nails medium length and I asked for them shorter, she said that she still needed to file them and that would make them shorter. Needless to say I had to ask her 4 different times to make my nails the length I originally asked for her and every time I asked she scoffed and was very rude. Then I thought she purposely cut 3 different of my fingers on purpose in order to get even with me. At the end of the day, I thought she did a good job and I didn't have a complaint. Until couple hours later 7 out of 10 of my fingers are sore to the touch. I'm sure the soreness is a result of how rough she was and nothing is truly wrong but I've never experienced this before. End of the day they did a mediocre job with horrible customer service. read more

I would give it two stars but I went with my mom and she liked her little French gel nails and said she would rate it four stars, so I'll meet in the middle at three. Kinda dumpy, not so sure they are clean, my girl Nina did not speak any English at all once so ever and I didn't love that, but my two biggest issues are: she cut me twice because she cut BIG CHUNKS of my skin off, not just my cuticles so my fingers hurrrttt, she also dug her nail underneath my nail and separated the skin from my nail, which, as you can imagine, hurts like hell...and if that's not bad enough, the gel polish doesn't even come close to my cuticles/nail beds. There is a large noticeable gap that looks like at least a week's worth of nail growth when I JUST WALKED OUT OF THE PLACE! $7 for two nail designs is too pricy if you ask me so even though I was really in the mood for some nail art, I passed. My does an amazing job with my pedicure and manicure. However, some of the ladies can be rude by speaking in their own language and they're not too discrete, they just look at you so it can be uncomfortable because you feel that they are speaking about you. I wish this salon had more color varieties to choose from. read more

Well, since this is the closest Nail Salon and i guess it doesn't make any difference as long as vietnamese girls would be the one who's going to have your nail done its pretty much the same, Nail color is nail color Manicure Pedicurewhatever you may call it . same thing except for of course facility and ambience Well here, don't expect that A+ because they dont charge as much so what you pay is what you get they also have waxing here but I dont recommend it because if you want some privacy you can't have it during waxing session you have to seat with all the people around you while they're waxing out all your hair may it be on your armpit, eyebrows, legs.. but if you're on a budget it's worth a try going there on a weekday so its not that crowded. try to look for Karen She's nice and pretty too read more

I got fungus on my nail after one of the employees used a dirty tool on me, I quickly went back to tell them. I guess they didn't like it because later after that my visits were horrible. They didn't treat me right and made me wait a lot, they would also skip me. James is the owner I think, and he's such a jerk, unprofessional, rude and a smart mouth, he makes you feel like you don't matter. This place was OK. My manicure came out really nice. My pedicure was good, however she cut the sides of my toes so bad that I've had to wear sandals the past four days due to the pain anytime I have socks on. Both of my big toes are red and swollen on the sides. I'm pretty bummed because I enjoyed everything else about my visit. She did use some tools from a sterilized bag, but she also pulled a tool out from a box with a used nail file and some other stuff in it. read more

I will not recommend this place at all. I came to this place some time now just because is close to my home and they do ok nails except for one person which she's always busy. So today like any other I came in time to do my nails but instead of telling that they have more customers waiting before me they have me sitting waiting for more than 30 minutes until they finally tell me that the person that was going to do my nails was going to help someone else than me I had enough. I went there this past Saturday 1/4/20 due to all the good reviews. Clean place everyone was nice. I had a two toned gel on nails with pedicure $50 plus a nice tip. Gel came off one nail by Sunday by Wednesday 5 nails. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! Never going back! What a rip off. read more

This nail salon is located in the deep corners of a plaza. I went here because it was the nearest place to go to. I walked in and asked for a pedicure and she told me it was $15. I later found out that it would have been $2 less if i didn't sit in the spa chair but they didn't tell me that at all. They just guided me right to it. The lady who did pedicure was Hannah. She was very quiet but nice. When i stuck my feet into the tub, it was scorching hot but she was nice enough to add some cold water into it. In the end, i was pretty satisfied with my pedicure because it came out looking clean and my polish was super shiny. Plus, she never cut me or caused me pain, it was relaxing. She made sure i was happy and that my toes were completely dried. I'll visit again sometime soon. read more

I love this nail salon! Everyone who works here has always been extremely kind and welcoming. I have been to numerous nail salons for pedicures and walked away disappointed because I can still see dead skin on my feet after someone had only spent 10 minutes on a pedicure. Here they take their time and work really hard to clean your nails and nail beds. The pedicures last weeks before I need to come back because of how hard they work. This salon is also extremely sanitary. They use plastic wraps on all of the tubs, changing the plastic for each person. I don't know of very many other salons that are this attentive to sanitary concerns. I now live in west LA and every time I come back to Downey to visit, I make sure to come get a pedicure here. read more

My family and I have been going to Diamond Nails for years. The owner Hannah refused our gift certificates because she claims they had expired. We showed her the California law regarding no expiration dates for certificates and she refused to honor them. We have been wonderful customers throughout the years, and were shocked that she would not accept or honor California law. Unfortunately, we will have to deal with this through the Department of Consumer Affairs. This company has no consideration for their customers and are making a profit off these certificates because the money has already been paid to them. If this is the way they treat their customers, you better be careful when patronizing this business! read more
