Not the greatest crepe. The best thing on the crepe was the green tea ice cream. Yum! The girl who took my order and made my crepe was a little clueless. I ordered the Red Mango crepe with green tea ice cream and NO STRAWBERRY SYRUP. She was taking her sweet a-- time making the crepe and funny thing was, she was standing there starring blank at the crepe wondering what she forgot. She then decides to put strawberry syrup on mine but thank god I screamed out, no syrup! She's forgetful and clueless for the most part. cons- the crepe is suppose to be crispy/soft but what i got was a crepe that was just completely soft and close to soggy. Shame shame... read more

Visited the place over a year ago. They allow you to customize your own crepe which I think is nice. Also they allow you to see the process of making the crepe. I think our price was on the expensive side, because we created our own. The crepe size is pretty big, my boyfriend and I weren't able to finish our own. The crepe is good, the fruits were fresh. However it gets really messy when eating. read more

Had the blueberry cheesecake crepe, pretty good! Cute store, good flavor, nice selection, and next to the Arcade. Will have to try the matcha one next time?! read more

Reasonable price and decent taste. I personally would not recommend the matcha green tea ice cream because when I had it, the ice cream tasted off - texture was more ice than creamy. Maybe it was my bad luck that I've got the bad scoop of the day since the previous posts were positive. Customer Service wise, the ladies were just doing their job - they weren't rude but they weren't friendly either. read more

Oh man, I'm a sucker for pretty things and japanese food so when you show me an adorable japanese crepe with green tea ice cream, yeah I'm gonna get it. Their takoyaki's alright, definitely not as good as the ones in legit japanese shops but props on the wasabi mayo creativity. The crepe was alright EXCEPT for the crepe itself. Ironic right? The filling was pretty good, green tea ice cream drizzled with condensed milk and topped with banana and mango. Probably should've gotten something else besides mango cause it wasn't in season but I'm glad all their fruits are fresh. The crepe was missing a hint of sweetness. It was kind of bland. I can't decide what's better here takoyaki or crepes, they're on an equal level. read more

So this place is known for their crepes but on a day when our group of 4 tried no less than 4 food stalls in the New World Mall Food Court, none of us had any space left in our stomachs for a crepe, so we decided to try their takoyaki instead. I only got the chance to try their takoyaki #1 with Bonito. They had decent flavor but lacked texture. A little bit of crunch would have helped. They felt like a mushy mess when I put them in my mouth. http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=9Esp69HQJXxayEhhSApplw&userid=33h9Jv4VKbbxB42CUD9WQg I wanna try their crepe but the takoyaki didn't inspire me. read more

Its affordable and cheap! I've gotten the Mojoilla crepe with green tea ice cream. I felt like the worker was being a bit stingy with the nutella (really really thin layer) He forgot to add my strawberries so he added them in the end but all was well! I chose green tea ice cream with my crepe that I wished was a bit more fresh, didn't like the Pirouline type chocolate straw I prefer the original! But overall the crepe made me happy. read more

Crepes, fruit, and ice cream, what's not to like? I would say 3 stars for value and uniqueness. I have to agree with one of the other reviewers Amy M that the food court and all and even area in general is unnecessarily dirty. The food court itself is dirty but the crepe stand is not. Having said that they got an A Rating other wise I wouldn't eat here. http://www.nychealthratings.com/nycrestapp/restaurantlanding/4/Downtown%20Flushing/26586/ It seems that many NY Yelpers think they are walking on the wild side if they eat at popular C rating places in the 5 boros. Not me I had a few walks on the real wild side of life I have nothing to prove so I only eat at clean places when I can help it! I had Strawberry's, blueberries ,Strawberry ice cream and Cinnamon sugar . It is pretty large for what they offer and because of that it is a good value. I had a custom made crepe instead of one off the menu. Mine was only modified with Cinnamon sugar instead of syrup. Here is a blog about the food court. http://iwantmorefood.com/2011/05/12/the-latest-flushing-mall-new-world-new-food-court/ It is a pretty interesting place. It is cramped and may remind you of being in Hong Kong. My hubby found this crepe stand for me and suggested it. But after tasting it I think we both agreed it is a nice cheap snack but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again. They are home made, done Asian style not a serious crepe but more like a giant ice cream cone. But hey I love Giant ice cream cones. They di dnot speak Cantonese or Mandarin so not sure which language they speak but they do not speak English but they are very friendly unlike many of the other food stands there but I think more of a mix of cultures goes to this stand. The other stands had only Asians. read more

I'm usually not one to review a place solely based on one item, but the oreo milkshake I got here was so offensively bad that I felt the need to write about it. It had the taste and consistency of milk. The ice cream and oreos that were supposed to be present were wholly MIA. I threw it out after a few sips. Suffice it to say, most half-assed excuse for a milkshake I've had. My friend seemed to enjoy the ice cream crepe she got here, which probably explains the good reviews on Yelp, but avoid the milkshakes at all costs! read more

Decided to check this place out with a friend, for old time's sake. Before there was a T-swirl Crepe, a place called Mojoilla Fresh(located right in the New World Mall Food Court) was the place to get crepes in Flushing. Prices for crepes are around $5 and no more than $7. The crepes are made pretty fast, in less than a minute. Prices have remained the same, and the taste has remained the same. I've also tried the takoyaki back then, but I'm not really a fan of those. Anyways, Mojoilla Fresh = place that makes and sells crepes at New World Mall Food Court. That's all you need to know. Happy crepe-ing! read more

Based on the crepes alone, they would've had the highest rating possible. They're absolutely delicious. In fact, I've eaten through two of them myself tonight. I know, fatty. I especially like their banana ice cream, and I must say that theirs is amongst the best I've tried. What detracts from the experience are their takoyakis. They lack all the aspects of a proper takoyaki that made it good; crisp on the outside, and slightly chewy on the inside. This might be a bit of a setback, but as long as you stick to crepes, you should be fine. read more

I've already reviewed this place in the New World Mall Food Court. I was super excited to try my first jianbing in NYC. I hadn't eaten since I've visited China 2 years ago. It's nearly authentic but I think the meat can be better instead a slice of ham. It's very affordable and cost $5 for one. You can pay $6 to include a soy milk drink with it. The crepe ice cream is alright. Overall, I'm happy there's a cheap jianbing option (by Chinese folks) in the city! read more

After being told countless times about how great this place was, and after seeing hoards of people holding purple papered crepes, I decided to finally convince my boyfriend to take the place for a spin. The place sells crepes filled with various contents, for instance ice cream, ham, etc. It could be both a dessert or a lunch, whichever you prefer. They also offer takoyaki, but I was hesitant to order that because it was not as greatly raved as the crepes. I was later told by my friend that the takoyaki there was pretty delicious, so I might return. Now, on to the crepes. The crepe itself was a failure. It looked cool and was interesting to see how it was made, but the result was off. I'm not sure if it was only me, but the crepe turned out rather salty. It was also a bit too soft and chewy. The ice cream however, I thought, was delicious and top notch. I am pretty upset that I ended up paying five bucks for one scoop of ice cream with some bananas and oreos. I threw away the rest of the crepe after finishing the contents. My boyfriend found it to be a failure as well and refused to finish the crepe for me. Maybe I'll come back for the takoyaki, but it's a bit pricey from what I usually get around Chinatown or St. Marks. read more

This was the last stop in the New World Mall food tasting. Nutella, Strawberry, Banana, and Vanilla ice cream crepe. Like Tony the Tiger say's "It'sssss Great!" That is just a wondering set of flavors. I just wished there were 2 scoops instead of one that would be so worth it. I think I will go get different flavor if I am around or I think I need to start dieting after today. Happy Valentines Day!!! read more

I think it's awesome that you can request your own flavors for the crepes. I didn't like any of their suggested flavor combos, so I opted to make my own. The ice cream crepes are as good as they look. They roll up a warm crepe like an ice cream cone and put your ice cream and toppings inside, plus it's topped off with a cute little wafer straw. Pretty good value considering the size of the dessert, but I think there's too much crepe and not enough ice cream. It's super filling, so I DON'T recommend getting one after you've already eaten a huge meal. You'll force yourself to finish it and then feel like a glutton afterwards. If you plan on coming back, ask for a stamped loyalty card. After you buy ten crepes, your next one is free. read more

Mojoilla Fresh is inside the New World Mall Food Court in Flushing that sells crepe cones with ice cream just like the ones I had tried in Japan and missed oh so much! Too bad these can't compare to those I had in Japan, but I guess it's close enough to what I can have here. It is a bit messy eating this even when trying to eat with a spoon. The ice cream is melting and leaking all over as you're trying to eat it. I just don't like the fact that there are way too many people in this food court at all times, especially dinner time. And it's hard to get seats even with the large amount of seating there are here. The tables are not always clean because you get the table after another group of people leave the seats so you have to wipe them down with napkins yourselves. It is noisy here with a lot of annoying little kids whose parents don't know how to control them. And the bathrooms are kind of gross. I do not know why Asian people do not know how to build good bathrooms with good ventilation and air because it is suffocating in there and they could at least think of that. read more

Takoyaki tried here - no bad, a cheap, passable version though lite on the octopus.

Mojoilla Fresh makes crepes to order. I'd have to honestly say the crepes were just okay. It didn't really blow me away or anything but it served it's purpose as a dessert. The crepe was kinda tough and somewhat chewy which meant the batter was whipped way too much. The fudgin crepe I had (banana, peanut butter) was pretty tasty. I really enjoy fresh fruits with my crepes so the banana and peanut butter worked well with the ice cream choice. I would come back to this place since their crepes are so affordable but it's not something I'd go out of my way for. It's located conveniently in New World Malls' food court so its easy to grab some crepes after a meal here. I do have to say though, the ice cream was really yummy. Not sure who their supplier is but regardless the ice cream was on point. read more

Wait what? Delicious crepes in the middle of Flushing!? *cue Handel's "Hallelujah" Crepes were a special part of my life as a kid growing up in Japan. I KNOW, crepes don't originate from there, but still. I'd always stash 500 yen in my pocket just in case I spend all my money so I can at least get a yummy crepe. They really pack the goodies in these! I took my baby bro here for a birthday dessert and he honestly almost threw up because of the noodles he ate + the steroid injected crepe. What I do love about Mojoilla though is that their ingredients aren't over sweetened. Typically, dessert= diabetes, but I don't feel that guilty eating a crepe from here :) Nutella isn't too overwhelming, and they leave the fresh fruit as it is! No maceration, no stupid colored syrups. Be prepared though! I wouldn't recommend eating this on the go like a Mister Softee cone. You may or may not need a plate. Or a couple of napkins. Or a bib. read more

According to my Japanese hubbie, the takoyaki here is pretty authentic. Only complaint is their sauce. The price is fairly inexpensive. We had takoyaki and crepes there and both were very good. read more

Disappointing crepes. Maybe my expectations are too high. When I order crepes, I expect my crepes to be thin and crispy. These crepes were far from thin and instead of them being crispy, they're soft. However, I give this business two stars because the fillings inside the crepes are good. The way they wrap the crepe into a cone like shape is like how Japan wrap their crepes (Japan's crepes in Harajuku District are 200% better). Not sure if it's fair to compare this store to one from another country, but that's how I honestly feel about the disappointing crepes at Mojoilla Fresh. You would enjoy their crepes if you haven't had a crepe in your life, simply because you wouldn't be able to compare these crepes to better ones. read more

The boy found this place on yelp and suggested we get some treats after my dragon boat practice. We tried the takoyaki with teriyaki and nomi (seaweed, i might have misspelled that word, but it was seaweed). I've never had octopus that way before, so it was a bit strange. It's like a little dough ball with octopus inside. I think the sauce was a little overwhelming for the octopus and I forgot that I was eating octopus. Then after we got noodles at my usual spot, we got a crepe with green tea ice cream. It was so cute! The crepe is folded into a cone and the ice cream is inside the cone. Then there is a straw like wafer cookie...sorry i forgot the actually name of the treat. And the crepe is wrapped so the ice cream doesn't fall out. Very creative and appetizing! Me and the boy really like it! It was a bit too much crepe for us, but we will be going back for the other crepes. Sorry octopus, you disappointed us. read more

A cone shaped crepe with ice cream? If that doesn't sound good, then I don't know what does. The idea of this place is very original and its really convenient how you can basically walk around while eating a crepe. However, beause it is a cone shaped crepe filled with ice cream cream and fruit, it is a little difficult to eat. My friends and I are always a little troubled when we get to middle- I mean you have to worry about the ice cream melting and wanting to keep the crepe warm. The location of this place is okay. It's inside the basement food court which makes it convenient since there's plenty of seating, BUT this place was hard to find. Everything is written in chinese and the sign is pretty small. read more

I really missed those Japanese crepes that used to be sold at Flushing Mall. I have been craving for those crispy shell topped off with fresh fruits and creamy ice cream. So, you can imagine my excitement when I finally find a place that makes and sold Japanese crepes. I ordered the strawberry and banana with vanilla ice cream crepe. Inside the crepe, they added nutella and a green tea egg roll wafer along with the fruit and ice cream. The stuffing was delicious and the fruits were fresh. However, the crispy exterior of the crepe was missing which really killed the whole experience. It felt like eating a delicious mush. Without the crispy exterior, I gave this experience a two stars because it definitely could have been a lot better. Still searching for a good, crispy Japanese crepe in New York City. read more

This is one of my favorite stalls in new world mall. Awesome dessert to finish off your meal! I get the ice cream +2 toppings + 1 syrup in a crepe cone for~$5.50 (used to be $4.95), which is quite a bargain in my opinion considering other crepe places in nyc serve crepes without the ice cream for like $8+. They have green tea ice cream, which is even a bigger bonus! I always get strawberry + banana + condense milk + green tea ice cream. Be sure to grab lots of napkins, it could get messy at the end when it starts leaking. I think the young girl(20ish year old) makes it best in terms of it holding together, but I haven't seen her in a while. It's a little difficult to order when it's the older lady working since I don't speak chinese and she doesn't speak english. Make sure to get their stamp card if you like it, it's a free crepe after 10 crepes. My friends and I share the cards to get to 10 quicker hehe. read more

My cousin and I got the regular takoyaki with bonito, and with the first bite I took, the takoyaki was too soft and broke apart easily, it wasn't even slightly crunchy, as I expected a little crunch to it. It also tasted mostly of mayonnaise, so I felt as though the taste kind of belied the appearance of the takoyaki, so it was kind of disappointing to me. read more

Yeah sure sure they sell sweet crepes, but what I came here for are the Chinese jianbing!!! These Chinese egg crepes with a crispy chip filling are a staple street food that I've been craving for a while and I was so excited to see that they offer them here. It tasted pretty good, although I was surprised to see they included a slice of ham in my jianbing. They use the Chinese crisp instead of fried cruller (which most stores that offer jianbing in Flushing tend to use), and it reminds me of the versions from China!! Try it! read more

Mojilla Fresh has always served Japanese style dessert crepes, but as I was in the mood for something more filling, I decided to get the jianbing instead. It was pretty solid, nothing revolutionary, but quite filling and tasty nonetheless. The scallions and cilantro overpowered the meat and sauce at times, but overall it was very fresh and piping hot. Like all the other places at New World Mall, it's a nice place to go when you're on the go and need to grab something quick. read more

This is my first time and maybe the last time coming to this place. No one answer me and I waited for a few minutes till someone came out. I ordered a takoyaki and she said that there's a six minute wait and I said okay. Ten minutes later she still didn't start to make the food and I went and tell her that I'm in a hurry. She said she started to warm the thing and another ten minutes past she still didn't start. I waited for half an hour for four pieces of takoyaki. And that's not over yet, it wasn't made good because all four of the takoyaki wasn't a good one piece. It was separatingand falling apart. She put too many of the sauce and it tasted too salty. The takoyaki was also a little black it seems like it was overly cooked. read more

My boyfriend had his first Japanese-style crepe here, and he loved it. YAY! Of course, his opinion shouldn't factor into my review, so let me just add that I loved it as well. I was skeptical of the name Mojoilla Fresh -- reminded me of Fresh Choice + some sort of Mojito-joint or sketchy Mexican-stale-tacos truck, but this place actually makes Japanese takoyaki (Japanese octopus balls), sweet crepes, savory crepes, and an assortment of drinks. The menu was a little confusing, but once we figured it out, we ordered crepe #1 for $4.95, which was strawberries, bananas, nutella, and a choice of ice cream. I was tempted to get azuki bean (a few of the other choices were strawberry, chocolate, cookies and cream, green tea), but thought that wouldn't go with the fruits or chocolate so I picked vanilla. BRILLIANT choice. Somehow, their vanilla ice cream was extra vanilla-y (love!), and the crepes were thicker, if not as crispy as I'm used to, compared to Japanese crepes. I didn't mind, and neither did my boyfriend. Generous servings of strawberries and sliced bananas + dollops of nutella = happy us. read more

I've been here several times already but keep on forgetting to review them, until now. Whenever I'm in the mood for something sweet and I'm in the neighborhood, I head straight to Mojoilla for their Purple Rain crepe. I always have it with green tea ice cream. You can tell they have great quality ice cream because the green tea has a rich green tea flavor and it's not too sweet. Combining the ice cream with blueberries gives it even more of a tart flavor that I love. Also, I finally tried their takoyaki and it's delicious! I had the one with the wasabi sauce and it comes out hot, soft, and has a nice savory, briny taste that I like. It's definitely a nice snack or you can make a lunch of it if you get the larger size. read more

Omq delicious! For $5, you get this huge dessert with plenty of fresh and yummy fruits, sauces, and ice cream; it was so filling that I almost couldn't finish it! This is so worth it, especially when compared to most other creperies in Manhattan that charge you $7 for a thin blanket of batter and a little sugar. However, as much as I loved their crepes, I hated their takoyaki. The batter inside the octopus balls were undercooked (maybe because the balls were larger than normal takoyaki balls), and the wasabi sauce tasted terrible. I had a good friend visiting New York and it was a rainy day. We had already eaten a few times but we were in the area, and I was craving the snowy AND I wanted him to try out these crepes. For only $5, you get this large cone shaped crepe filled with an abundance of fruit (he picked strawberries and kiwi), a base (Nutella of course) and a large scoop of ice cream (picked chocolate).
