Visited the place over a year ago. They allow you to customize your own crepe which I think is nice. Also they allow you to see the process of making the crepe. It's nearly authentic but I think the meat can be better instead a slice of ham. It's very affordable and cost $5 for one. You can pay $6 to include a soy milk drink with it. I felt like the worker was being a bit stingy with the nutella (really really thin layer) He forgot to add my strawberries so he added them in the end but all was well! Decided to check this place out with a friend, for old time's sake. Before there was a T-swirl Crepe, a place called Mojoilla Fresh(located right in the New World Mall Food Court) was the place to get crepes in Flushing. Prices for crepes are around $5 and no more than $7. The crepes are made pretty fast, in less than a minute. Prices have remained the same, and the taste has remained the same. Based on the crepes alone, they would've had the highest rating possible. They're absolutely delicious. In fact, I've eaten through two of them myself tonight. I know, fatty. I especially like their banana ice cream, and I must say that theirs is amongst the best I've tried. What detracts from the experience are their takoyakis. They lack all the aspects of a proper takoyaki that made it good; crisp on the outside, and slightly chewy on the inside. After being told countless times about how great this place was, and after seeing hoards of people holding purple papered crepes, I decided to finally convince my boyfriend to take the place for a spin. The place sells crepes filled with various contents, for instance ice cream, ham, etc. It could be both a dessert or a lunch, whichever you prefer. They also offer takoyaki, but I was hesitant to order that because it was not as greatly raved as the crepes. I think it's awesome that you can request your own flavors for the crepes. I didn't like any of their suggested flavor combos, so I opted to make my own. The ice cream crepes are as good as they look. They roll up a warm crepe like an ice cream cone and put your ice cream and toppings inside, plus it's topped off with a cute little wafer straw. Pretty good value considering the size of the dessert, but I think there's too much crepe and not enough ice cream. It's super filling, so I DON'T recommend getting one after you've already eaten a huge meal. You'll force yourself to finish it and then feel like a glutton afterwards. Too bad these can't compare to those I had in Japan, but I guess it's close enough to what I can have here. It is a bit messy eating this even when trying to eat with a spoon. The ice cream is melting and leaking all over as you're trying to eat it. I just don't like the fact that there are way too many people in this food court at all times, especially dinner time. And it's hard to get seats even with the large amount of seating there are here. The tables are not always clean because you get the table after another group of people leave the seats so you have to wipe them down with napkins yourselves. It is noisy here with a lot of annoying little kids whose parents don't know how to control them. And the bathrooms are kind of gross. My cousin and I got the regular takoyaki with bonito, and with the first bite I took, the takoyaki was too soft and broke apart easily, it wasn't even slightly crunchy, as I expected a little crunch to it. I really enjoy fresh fruits with my crepes so the banana and peanut butter worked well with the ice cream choice. They really pack the goodies in these! I took my baby bro here for a birthday dessert and he honestly almost threw up because of the noodles he ate + the steroid injected crepe. What I do love about Mojoilla though is that their ingredients aren't over sweetened. Typically, dessert= diabetes, but I don't feel that guilty eating a crepe from here :) Nutella isn't too overwhelming, and they leave the fresh fruit as it is! Disappointing crepes. Maybe my expectations are too high. When I order crepes, I expect my crepes to be thin and crispy. These crepes were far from thin and instead of them being crispy, they're soft. However, I give this business two stars because the fillings inside the crepes are good. The way they wrap the crepe into a cone like shape is like how Japan wrap their crepes (Japan's crepes in Harajuku District are 200% better). We tried the takoyaki with teriyaki and nomi (seaweed, i might have misspelled that word, but it was seaweed). I've never had octopus that way before, so it was a bit strange. A cone shaped crepe with ice cream? If that doesn't sound good, then I don't know what does. The idea of this place is very original and its really convenient how you can basically walk around while eating a crepe. However, beause it is a cone shaped crepe filled with ice cream cream and fruit, it is a little difficult to eat. My friends and I are always a little troubled when we get to middle- I mean you have to worry about the ice cream melting and wanting to keep the crepe warm. The location of this place is okay. I really missed those Japanese crepes that used to be sold at Flushing Mall. I have been craving for those crispy shell topped off with fresh fruits and creamy ice cream. I get the ice cream +2 toppings + 1 syrup in a crepe cone for~$5.50 (used to be $4.95), which is quite a bargain in my opinion considering other crepe places in nyc serve crepes without the ice cream for like $8+. They have green tea ice cream, which is even a bigger bonus! I always get strawberry + banana + condense milk + green tea ice cream. Be sure to grab lots of napkins, it could get messy at the end when it starts leaking. I think the young girl(20ish year old) makes it best in terms of it holding together, but I haven't seen her in a while. I ordered a takoyaki and she said that there's a six minute wait and I said okay. Ten minutes later she still didn't start to make the food and I went and tell her that I'm in a hurry. Yeah sure sure they sell sweet crepes, but what I came here for are the Chinese jianbing!!! These Chinese egg crepes with a crispy chip filling are a staple street food that I've been craving for a while and I was so excited to see that they offer them here. It tasted pretty good, although I was surprised to see they included a slice of ham in my jianbing. I was tempted to get azuki bean (a few of the other choices were strawberry, chocolate, cookies and cream, green tea), but thought that wouldn't go with the fruits or chocolate so I picked vanilla. BRILLIANT choice. Somehow, their vanilla ice cream was extra vanilla-y (love!), and the crepes were thicker, if not as crispy as I'm used to, compared to Japanese crepes. You can tell they have great quality ice cream because the green tea has a rich green tea flavor and it's not too sweet. Combining the ice cream with blueberries gives it even more of a tart flavor that I love. Also, I finally tried their takoyaki and it's delicious! Omq delicious! For $5, you get this huge dessert with plenty of fresh and yummy fruits, sauces, and ice cream; it was so filling that I almost couldn't finish it! This is so worth it, especially when compared to most other creperies in Manhattan that charge you $7 for a thin blanket of batter and a little sugar. However, as much as I loved their crepes, I hated their takoyaki.
