I can't think of too many/any coconut-centric places around that offers desserts and drinks in so many varieties. That alone ups the stars for me. The coconut snowball is their top seller. You can see pics and videos in the review of workers diligently carving and trimming juicy spheres of coconut. That alone is impressive and just happy to know a place like this exists even though I haven't tried it (yet). I did get the coconut pudding and I appreciate the use of a cool screw top container that makes it feel more like a premium dessert. I enjoyed the texture and flavor of the pudding and its coating of toasted coconut. It was a solid choice. When you are the mood to get a little (coco)nuts - call on Good Coconut to take care of your needs.
The coconut drinks here are insanely good. My favorite is the mangolicious. Blended real Mango with coconut jelly. You can definitely taste the mango is real and not powder or juice/nector. The reason for the lost star is the deceptive charge of 15% tip automatically added to your bill. This is a to go kiosk so not sure tipping should be required.
Located inside of Golden Mall, this gem is definitely a must try for coconut lovers. I usually get the coconut pudding with different toppings from this location and they have the freshest and coconut pudding I have tried so far! This time around, I was at the Golden Mall picking up a couple of items to go when I saw they got a couple of new drinks in! Seeing that the Strawberry Coconut Sugar (the drink to the right) was so cute, I knew I had to try. The Strawberry Coconut Sugar did not disappoint! Being that the base was coconut water, I did not want to bring the sugar level too low so I asked for 50% which was perfect! The coconut water was the star of the show, which made sense, however, the strawberry foam did not disappoint! My sister was unable to fully taste the flavor of the strawberry so it might be a little hard to find but for me, the light hint of strawberry gave the coconut water a nice uniqueness. My sister ordered the Mango Coconut Milk. She got this with 30% sugar which worked really well with the sweet mangos. The mangos also had a slight tastiness at the end to help cut through the sweetness as well so getting this drink a little sweeter would work too. I will be back to try the other drink from the same series as the Strawberry Coconut Sugar which was their Cotton Candy Coconut Sugar. Their drinks are very refreshing and are great for people if they're looking for something that has a different base than just milk or tea!
4/5 Whole coconut pudding w/ mango & popping boba $14.28- really good- sweet mango layer on top, creamy coconut on bottom, do wish they gave metal cutlery to scrape the coconut flesh tho cuz that was hard with plastic 4/5 Thai milk tea snow $9- takes a good 20min to make. Thai tea is 1 of my fave flavors, this shaved ice is actually flavored, not like Korean shaved ice. Has sweet whipped coconut cream on top. So good.
I think I found my favorite bbt spot of all time. This reminds me of king of coconut in Hong Kong. I love that it is coconut based instead of jasmine tea or black tea based. I ordered cocolicious even though I was tempted to get the fresh coconut. They also serve pudding and etc to go. This is the one bbt spot that I actually want to try all the flavors of. It is located inside golden mall and you can order on the counter or on the kiosk. Service was friendly and efficient and they give you a cute insulated bag for the to go items.
I ordered online for pickup and it was ready when I arrived (~10 minutes, though I'm pretty sure the puddings are premade). They kept it in the fridge display case until I arrived. I got the Mango, Original and Ube Coconut Puddings. They taste like the Chinese coconut pudding (yeh jup goh) but not as coconut-y. The versions in the actual coconut shell might be more coconut-y. I liked how it was not too sweet. The Mango is very sweet! It balances a bit with the not sweet coconut pudding, but too sweet for me. The Original has coconut flakes on top, which I liked, though it could use some more toasty flavor. The Ube is light in flavor with the added texture of the sago balls. Overall a nice spot to grab some quick dessert.
Down in the Golden Mall is Good Coconut. It's know for their coconut desserts. We were interested getting the snowball dessert where they shave the outer part of the young coconut to make it a "snowball" which is also served with a sweet butterscotch like flavored syrup. We were instructed that when we eat it to drink the coconut water first on the inside, then pour the syrup over the coconut meat and eat it. Overall we liked the dessert a lot. The coconut water was very fresh and refreshing. The syrup over the coconut meat was very delicious as well. So why the negative two stars you may be wondering? Well we were there on a weekday around 8:30pm where the business is supposed to close at 9:30pm. It was a little confusing if they were still open since the employees had the screen menus shut off. We asked for our desserts and the employee at the register that rang us up seemed slightly annoyed that the three of asked for that specific dessert. After we were given the desserts and paid the employee at the register said "can you come earlier next time?" Kind of left a negative feeling considering that they still were on the clock for another hour when we arrived. I get you have the closing shift, but your hours are your hours. It's something the customers shouldn't have to apologize for when you are still open. There were a couple of guys that also ordered after us after we left. Not sure if they received the same treatment. I would still give the place another shot, but the employees just may need some retraining on customer service and realizing that they shouldn't be grumpy because the time the customers are there. If the next visit goes well, I wouldn't mind giving an updated review with hopefully an improvement.
I've been ordering online from Good Coconut for a while, but this was my first time visiting in person -- and I'm so glad I did! The staff was super friendly and helped me pick out a drink I ended up loving. The coconut pudding was amazing -- I really enjoyed the texture and flavor. I also tried the osmanthus tea with the least sugar, and it was perfectly light and floral. This place definitely deserves more attention. Great drinks, great service -- a hidden gem that more people need to know about!
Good Coconut is well named because that's exactly what we ordered, a good coconut! Or more specifically a "coconut snowball" which they make by shaving and shaping the coconut meat into a sphere without breaking through to the juice. And then it's two sweet treats in one! You drink the coconut juice and then add some osmanthus jelly to the meat and eat that too. There's no seating or counter space for the shop so it was a bit tricky to cut up and eat since the sphere is so slippery but it was a fun treat.
Food: Both the coconut milk and coconut pudding were amazing. You can tell everything is very fresh. The pudding was served in the coconut shell. The pudding was smooth and creamy. The drink was refreshing and full of great coconut flavor. I would highly recommend both items. Service: Staff are friendly and helpful! Ambiance: This place is a stand in Golden Mall. There is seating within Golden Mall, but it's a small space and not ideal for large groups. Overall, I would highly recommend this place!
Good Coconut is specializes in coconut here. It's located in a small downstairs food court but there were definitely quite a lot of people ordering. I ordered from here several years back and was excited to try it again. I had their mango coconut drink and I really enjoyed it! read more

Unsuspecting store in an underground food hall. Worth the find. The mango coconut pudding comes in a fresh coconut and was delicious. Came with some popping bubbles as well. Steep at $14 but I felt that the flavor was good enough to justify the price! read more

Amazing and unique flavors it's like boba but better!! This is downstairs in the golden mall and totally worth it. There are so many special things here like shaven ice in Thai tea flavor. I can't wait to return. I got a real taro mix into my coconut milk. read more

Just off the beaten path, you will find this gem of a spot down some stairs in a cool little underground food hall. Service was pretty quick. I ordered the mango coconut milk drink and it was so interesting! It's not totally blended so you get chunks of mango, coconut bits, and some lychee/rambutan type balls at the bottom. The flavor is not too sweet and I found myself liking the drink more and more as I got closer to finishing it. Hidden in a basement food court hall there is the best refreshing dessert shop. I can never decide which drink to get as they are all incredibly refreshing especially after walking around Main Street. Since it is located in a basement the food hall does get crowded and seating is occupied by other vendors. So really your only option is enjoy your drink outside. Orders come with a fancy insulated bag to keep your desserts chilled. Coco breeze and coco licious have been my two go-to orders and I would highly recommend! read more

Really small shop in the basement food court. The food court is crowded and there can be a short line at Good Coconut. I really enjoy their puddings and drinks! The coconut milk and water drinks are very refreshing and light. You keep drinking until you realize that there's nothing left. The coconut water with water chestnut popping boba is very unique and delicious! Their puddings are all really good. The matcha and red bean one is not too sweet and there's a slight bitterness from the matcha. The mango coconut pudding is light and refreshing. The coconut with toasted coconut flakes is decent but the coconut flakes doesn't do it for me. My favorite is the taro and coconut pudding because there's good mix of coconut pudding and taro whereas the others only had the topping on top. If you like coconut pudding from dim sum, you'll like the coconut puddings here! Overall really delicious and I'm definitely coming back for other things! read more

I ordered the taro coconut pudding to go (no dine-in). The staff was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. She even offered to add some ice to the to-go bag to keep the pudding cool on a warm day. She also offered samples. The taro paste was smooth and not overly sweet, which paired very well with the creamy coconut pudding. On top, there were dollops of taro paste and some coconut pearls, which added a fun texture to each bite. I loved scooping all the way down to get the taro, pudding, and pearls together--it made for a delicious, well-balanced bite every time! read more

If you're ever tired of all the brown sugar boba spots nearby, this place is a nice change of pace. They have great coconut milk drinks that taste great and bring something unique to the area. The mango coconut milk had bits of mango in it that added a nice sweet/sour aspect to it. 70% sugar is definitely the way to go, well-balanced and also came with crystal boba. The cup is also reusable which is a plus. Staff was also friendly with providing recommendations. read more
This store is located within an underground food court, the food stall wasn't too busy on the day of my visit. Ordered the Mango Coconut pudding, I did asked whether the mangoes would be sour as it's not in season right now, staff informed it's more of a Mango jam on top of the coconut pudding. My order was basically ready within two minutes (already pre-made); at close to $9 I was hoping for a bigger dessert cup. The pudding cup had coconut pudding on the bottom that tasted super coco-nutty and not too sweet- which made it the perfect taste; the Mango syrup on top tasted okay (can really do without it); and plus there some popping boba in the syrup, which added a special touch. I love coconut pudding and yogurt so I was so happy I've found this place because it is absolutely everything I wanted it to be. There are a lot of yummy options to choose from whether it be desserts or drinks, if you're a lover of fresh coconut or all things coconut, you need to check them out. You will not be disappointed. The toasted coconut and fresh fruit on top of the coconut pudding was so delicious and refreshing I can't wait to visit again. The staff was amazing and accommodated my order that wasn't on the menu. Service was quick and the ambiance is cute & quaint. There's a small seating area with a bench and stools but not sure if it belongs to the establishment or one of the neighboring restaurants but it you need to sit just to enjoy a quick snack like I did, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. I ordered the coconut Snowball and the Coconut Pudding with Boba and Marshmallow. I wanted to give it 3 and a half stars. Coconut Snowball: pretty much just coconut without the shell. Not really worth it. Coconut Pudding with Boba and Marshmallow: It was coconut pudding (jelloish texture) inside a coconut, it had Taro Boba on top and a Panda Marshmallow on top of that. The outer parts of the panda marshmallow has the same texture as the marshmallows you get in cereal. After you are done eating the pudding, you can scrape the meat out of the coconut. Really good! Overall: the prices are pretty high making it some place i won't go to on a regular basis, some of the dishes can be worth it while others may not. But if you are a coconut lover like me, then you will love this place. Go with the puddings definitely. But I will definitely go back again. read more
Tried this coconut spot for the first time and it absolutely blew me away! I ordered the coconut water with watermelon bites and it was SO SO refreshing. It's the perfect summer drink to stay cool. Everything is made fresh and you can even see the employees shredding the coconut in front of you. Definitely check this place out, it's located in the underground food market in Flushing. read more

I don't have much to say except that I'm absolutely in love with their coconut pudding! The service was quick, thanks to no line and the convenience of ordering at a kiosk. The stall itself is a bit dark and narrow, which might not be ideal for hanging out, but since I was ordering to-go, it wasn't an issue. Definitely worth a stop if you're craving something sweet and fast! read more
A must-stop location in flushing if you like coconut. Located inside the Golden Mall it can be a little hard to find if you don't know where it is. Large variety of coconut drinks, boba, and desserts. The big negative for me is that the place doesn't have any seating. read more
The day I confirmed real coconut is an acquired taste. Their drinks were delicious. Their menu goes crazy on the various fruit possibilities with coconut. I got the Watermelon Coconut Milk ($7.58), which already came with crystal boba. I would lower the sweetness next time, as the sweetness of the fruits is more than enough. But so good and refreshing! It's a bummer their storefront doesn't have seating, as we certainly could have used it when we struggled cutting the coconut meat off the Coconut Snowball ($12.99). They offered condensed milk or caramel to accompany the meat, but I truly don't think they would have added anything. If anything, it makes the taste worse. As a first time trier, the texture was very smooth and solid, kind of like squid. But the flavor was just difficult to manage. The water inside was better than the water from the boxed drinks at least. I would come again for the drinks, especially on a hot day. read more
The place is easy to find, directly next to the stairs down the Golden Mall. Ordering is easy with a kiosk or in-person. Drinks were prepared quickly (albeit I came close to closing and it qas relatively quiet on a Sunday). I ordered the coconut snowball and a strawberry coconut milk. I came here two times already and yes I did enjoy the mango coconut milk and the coconut meat with milk. Expensive? yes. Something I can make at home? yes. Ordering is easy through the kiosk. What I don't agree is all these 5 stars reviews were based upon the fact that they had a sign that said if you purchase $20 worth, write a review on google or yelp to get a free plushie. I suggest you go form your own opinion and don't go by these fake/dishonest reviews. read more
Good Coconut is located inside of Golden Mall. If you're looking for it, its across the street from Flushing Library. You cannot see it out from outside. The store has a large variety of coconut drinks and coconut based deserts but I came for the whole coconut (I did also get one of the coconut milk drinks). When you order the coconut you can choose one that they have already made ready for you or you can ask for a fresh one be cut for you. When I went there weren't many people so I opted for a new one be cut for me. This takes around 4-5 minutes and they take their time carving out a fresh one for you. If there was a crowd, I would have opted for a pre-carved one. The coconut is as good as all the Instagram reviews.It is a soft young coconut filled with coconut water. The water was sweet and earthy and one of the best coconuts that I've ever had in NYC. The meat of the coconut was also very good and it was easy to eat since it was out of the shell. I've never had someone cut off the entire shell for me and its pretty cool to look at. The coconut milk drink was also pretty good but nothing to call home about. read more
We were happy to try this, but it was just a standard coconut that had its shell removed with its juices intact. Nothing spectacular & really not worth the money. Coconut was good but not amazing. I wish it was more refrigerated or colder. Staff was friendly, and the coconut product came out fast. read more
