Herb Nook Lab is a small, modern fruit tea focused shop in Flushing's 99 Ranch Food Hall that leans into a very fresh ingredients first idea rather than the usual syrup heavy bubble tea setup. I found the space compact and intentional, more of a quick stop tea lab than a lingering café, with a calm, slightly minimalist vibe that still felt welcoming for a short break in the neighborhood. What stood out most to me was how fruit forward the menu is, especially the green apple and red apple based drinks that lean on freshly juiced fruit rather than concentrates. I tried the green apple jasmine tea, one of the most talked about drinks on the menu, and it balanced crisp fruit brightness with floral tea notes perfectly. I also sampled the red apple milk tea and an apple foam combination, both of which pushed that same apple flavor into something creamier. There were also more experimental drinks like coconut based blends and lighter cucumber jelly style add ins that kept everything feeling refreshing rather than heavy. The service experience came across as attentive and friendly. I was offered a sample to help me decide, and the staff guided me through some of the more unusual combinations. My drink was made fresh, so there was a short wait during a busier moment, but the overall flow still felt straightforward and organized for a small counter style setup. The focus was clearly on freshness and customization, especially with sugar levels and drink adjustments.

Not sure why the name since I didn't see any herbs on the menu and the server I asked didn't know either. Anyway, just another new tea shop in the ling line of tea shops in Flushing. We wanted warm beverages on a cold day, but they currently can only heat up two of the options, so we got both. Red Apple Snow Bud Jasmine Green Milk Tea was quite refreshing with apple cheese foam (extra) and at half sugar, though I would go even less next time. Probably a 7/10. Did not really like the boring Bamboo & Jasmine with pecan whipped cream and half sugar. Score it 5/10. They are still working out their kinks, but service was quick and friendly. I would come back.

I found this place located in the 99 Ranch Eat Up food court off of Instagram. Herb Hook Lab has lots of interesting choices for their drinks. They had a sample of their Green Apple Jasmine drink which was what I wanted to try. It was sweet and you get both the jasmine and apple flavors. You can fully customize your drink when you order on the kiosk or by mobile. I chose to get the popping water chestnut boba. There is also an option to get an apple cold foam on top too that I didn't do. The cups come in small and large for sizes. Service was quick and you can watch on the screen when your order is ready. If you put your phone number in your order, you will also get a text message when it is ready. I would definitely come back to try more drinks in the future.

They were giving out samples at the 99 ranch market food court for their best selling green apple juice. If I remember correctly they said they don't use syrup for their flavoring and it is all from real apple juice. It tasted very fresh and clean so I decided to give it a try. I got the large red apple milk juice with the green apple cream foam on top (extra +$1). It was delicious and creamy. The large drink itself was almost $10. I don't think I would crave apple juice milk enough to pay this much again but it was good to try. But I think the premium would be worth it if you are willing to pay for a healthier option for drinks. If I'm back around the area would love to try their other drinks!

Green apple Jasmine green tea $6- really good, both flavors came thru pretty equally I'd say. The water chestnut popping boba always adds a nice juicy crunch.

Came to 99 Ranch food court and as my friend and I were walking around, we were given samples from Herb Nook Lab. We were hooked at first taste. The green apple snow bud jasmine green tea was a winner. It was so refreshing that we needed more. I would order with less sugar like 30%. Only thing was the drink size is pretty small for the price. The lady was very nice and she explained how their teas were made. I would definitely return to try their other teas.

My friend and I were trying the drink samples in the 99 ranch food court and preferred the ones at Herb Nook Lab, so we decided to order from here. I heard that they use real apple juice and no additional syrups. I ordered the small Green Apple Jasmine Green Tea ($5.99) , and my friend ordered the Kyoto Roasted Green Tea Latte. My drink was refreshing with a good balance of apple and green tea. My friend said her drink had a strong roasted taste and she enjoyed it.

This place is a very clean-looking, modern tea shop in the New World Mall food court. I was intrigued by the new black sesame cream so I got the da hing pao milk tea. Service was great; they let me try the tea before buying! It was good, but I do wish it was stronger overall. The sweetness and milkyness level was perfect though. The black sesame cream was good, but needed more black sesame in my opinion!

Tried this place for the first time, happy to see a tea place that does apple tea. I liked the 雪芽青蘋果冰茶七分糖+奶蓋 green apple jasmine green tea with less ice and less sugar 70% with foam (can do without foam as well, doesn't really add to it, the tea is good enough). Also tried紅蘋果奶茶 red apple jasmine green milk tea less ice and 70% but that felt a bit sweeter, I recommend the green one over the red. Would come back to try other teas next time.

Got the bamboo and jasmine and thought it was just average. Taste like jasmine tea and unsure where the bamboo is suppose to be. The staffs were super nice and proactive but the drink just average. They were giving out green apple jasmine tea sampler and I thought that was slightly better but not by much.

New place under 99 ranch. Delicious drinks that are refreshing and not too sweet. Definitely will go back.

Herb nook lab is a bit of a misleading name, but a total win on taste. They have some of the most fragrant jasmine tea I've had lately. The Green Apple Jasmine (30% sugar) was perfectly balanced--crisp apple paired with floral notes. The portion size is a bit smaller than usual, but the drinks are so refreshing and tasty!

I was intrigued by the unique drinks being offered here and decided to try it. Got a super unique drink- Bamboo Coconut Tide with cucumber jelly. It sounded so refreshing and it was. Very light, even the cucumber jelly is soft. The base is oolong and I definitely got cucumber and grass which I found refreshing because I was looking for something light. I enjoyed it but it's definitely an acquired taste. When you order on the self service pad, you get a text with your number. The screen in the shop shows if your number is ready or in the works. Once it's ready, their PA system announces it quite loudly so you don't miss it and you also get a text.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

They also have sooo many mochi drink combos on the menu. You can also add milk mochi as a topping for $0.95. I usually stick to chain boba spots, but Sweetea actually impressed me. The storefront is tiny and lowkey, but you can tell they put so much care into every drink using fresh ingredients, from homemade taro paste to real fruit purees. *Taro Mochi Cheese Foam $6.95 WOW the milk mochi was super stretchy, silky, and creamy. I was told they make the mochi fresh in-house every morning, and the taro is made from actual taro instead of powder. The mochi-to-taro ratio was literally perfect. *Mango Mochi Pop $6.95 I chose coconut milk for this one, and it tasted like mango sticky rice dessert.
