I ate in the enclosed patio which only had two tables, and the inside didn't seem much bigger. There is no bathroom for customers so don't bank on bio breaks here. It's efficient in that I was seated promptly, was able to place my order when I was ready, and the food came out lickety-split. Carry cash for a discount. I ordered the Wonton, Dumpling, & Beef Stew Noodle Soup ($14.75) under the "Popular Items" section of the menu since it seemed sampler-esque. The wontons and dumplings were similar since they both contained shrimp and pork but I leaned towards the dumplings since they also included mushroom, bamboo, wood ear, and chives. The duck egg noodles, beef, and broth rounded out the awesomeness. Can't wait to return with others!

Walked in on a Saturday around 6pm and managed to get the last two top. Don't be surprised if you need to wait a bit on a Saturday or Sunday around lunch. At any rate, get the wonton noodle soup. Or the combo that includes dumpling and dace fish ball if you want to get wild. All the toppings are fat(!!) from the wontons to the dumplings and fish balls. It's great. But for me the real star of the show is those bouncy duck egg noodles. They have a bounce that really puts it at the top of the list for me when it comes to duck egg noodle/wonton noodles. A perfect comfort meal on a cold day. Throw in some vinegar or chili oil between bites and you're in for a treat. Also ordered the (imitation) shark fin soup. It was solid. Texture might not be for everyone, but nice thing to snack on while you wait for your food, but not necessary. Service is quick. The space as I mentioned is small and can feel a little cramped, but they offer takeout if you wanted to just bring it back home. I'd still recommend just dining in though. Overall, great spot. Also there's a decent discount if you pay with cash.

They threw in chicken, beef, rice noodles, rice cakes, AND wide noodles all together?! Who does that? A genius, that's who. Every bite felt like unlocking a new level of happiness. The chicken is crazy tender, the beef is ridiculously flavorful, and the combo of chewy rice cakes with bouncy noodles is straight-up addictive. The spicy sauce grabbed my soul and refused to let go. I wasn't eating, I was ASCENDING. The skewers? OUTRAGEOUS. Juicy, smoky, packed with cumin aroma, I legit had to stop and whisper "wow" after each stick. My taste buds were throwing a party. And then the milk-skin yogurt came in like an angel descending from the sky~ creamy, rich, perfectly sweet, cooling down all that heat like it knew exactly what my body needed. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was clean, fresh, and prepared very hygienically, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, the portion sizes were generous, the flavors were authentic, and everything tasted fresh. I'm very satisfied and would definitely order again!

Well, this one was a big letdown. First, the notification didn't work. After orders from the kiosk where there was only one person ahead of me. I waited for 15 minutes and still no text. I saw the person in front of me also went up because his order also wasn't served. He couldn't believe it's taking this long either. The amount of protein in the skewers was simply pathetic, feeling like one segment too short. One piece was completely fatty, and another segment was part of a bony cartilage which I had to spit out. We also tried their milk skin yogurt. It was pre-packaged in a cup. The texture was nice and silky. It was slightly sweet and not sour at all as I had feared. But at $5.50 that's an expensive cup of yogurt.

We got the beef brisket curry with ho fun noodles and it tasted exactly like the HK curry noodle dishes I had growing up. The pork w salted fish hotpot rice had a lot of flavor without being overly salty, and it had crispy rice at the bottom of the pot. This was a very nostalgic meal for me. Everything was absolutely amazingly fresh and Yummylicious! The wontons are so huge, I have eat it in 2 bites. The best part is there's a jumbo shrimp in each wonton. The dumplings are so addicting too. Especially since I don't like the hard skin but they use a thin wrapping for their dumplings (like their wontons) which I love. For the lo mein, I loved the option to add beef stew sauce to the noodle. The extra charge is so worth it! Maxi's Noodle 2 definitely deserves my Yummylicious Stamp of Approval! Two thumbs up! Food-wise 4.5 stars for terrific ingredients, taste and technique. No frills service and a bit crowded seating reverted my rating back to 4 stars. This small shop is located in downtown Flushing, a couple blocks from the 7 train, an old school joint serving a mainstay of wontons and dumplings. Seating is at one of a dozen tables for two, pretty tight quarters. They also sit parties together without asking for your preference, as I found out when they motioned for another single diner to sit directly across the table from me. The menu is straightforward with options for types of noodles, types of proteins (aside from aforementioned options include fish balls, beef stew and tendon, jiajiang minced pork), and a handful of apps/sides - vegetables, curry fish balls, fried fish skin, a few soups. For drinks they have several fruit and milk teas, in addition to soda and water. I got their duck egg noodle in broth with two toppings (proteins), both the wontons and dumplings. $11.75 before tax which ended up being $12.79 + tip. Both were wrapped in very thin dumpling/wonton skins, with a very generous amount of savory filling, a mix of shrimp, pork and shiitake mushroom. They might have lightly marinated the shrimp prior because they were plump and juicy, cooked the right amount. The noodles came served in a disposable paper bowl with 3 wontons and 2 dumplings, which doesn't sound like a lot but each were easily twice the size I expected, so I was really full at the end of my meal! Frozen dumplings and wontons are available to go by the bag and had I not had somewhere to be after lunch, I seriously considered grabbing a bag to go! Cash and card accepted though they charge about 3% more for cards, they list separate prices on the menu for cash versus card.

It's before Yelp and even before internet time). I could not imagine I can have this noodle in Bayside now. Comparing to the famous beef noodles I had, this is pretty good but still a way to go. Let's start with the noodle. It is al dente and carry the soup really well. The braised beef made well too. The tenderness is just fine. However, I missed the big piece of meat instead of bite size chopped cube. It is easy to eat but could be more satisfying. The Shanghainese Pok Choy is a must in order to complete this dish authentically. However, it's overly chopped. I missed the couple halved Shanghainese Pok Choy placed nicely on the side. For the soup, the fave is fine and the balance of the sour and savory is just to the point. However, I wish I could have more pickled veggie that added more sourness to the soup. It would be much better to place a container of pickled veggie on each table for the customer to add it freely. That would be perfect. This place is cozy, clean and neat. Thanks for the ambiance. I think I would still come back when I crave for Taiwanese noodles. Lap Yin Calvin Kwok
