    Joju banh-mi fries
    Sheila M.

We went to the Joju store in Flushing, Tangram Mall located on the 2nd floor. We usually go to the original Elmhurst store. We found out they have another store in the Tangram mall. We order our usual Joju banh-mi fries. The banh-mi fries usually have alot of pickled dicon radish but today in their store we had hardly any. Also, I ordered with no jalapenos but there were some bits of pieces. Overall, the fries has a good kick. I do wish they had added more. Overall, service was fast, friendly. Store was clean. Hopefully next time, they have my order correct.

One of my favorite banh mi places in NYC. It's locations inside tangram mall so seating is limited and it's always packed. It's not the cheapest but it's high quality and big. The service is standard and you order from a server or online

Fast service. Got the caramelized pork bowl. It was good. Wouldn't order it again because there are other items that I would want to try!

    Bulgogi Bahn Mi

My bf loves going to Joju in the Tangram Food Hall! He always gets the bulgogi bahn mi, and I always eat half of it. The sandwich is hefty--with copious amounts of fresh herbs and veggies, a runny egg, and savory bulgogi. The perfect fusion of Korean and Vietnamese (5/5). Also, you get get extra sauce like spicy mayo I think it's a bit pricey though, and you can def get a more authentic bahn mi for less somewhere else. However, Joju is modern and creating a fun twist to their food that I like. --- Service: sometimes the food hall can be really busy, particularly on weekends. But they have a person and a kiosk that can take orders so it's super easy to order. they will text you when the order is ready so you can roam around the mall while you wait. -- Ambiance: the food hall can be loud and lively when it's busy. It's in a food court so it's public seating.

I've been wanting to try JoJu for some time after first hearing about this Korean-Vietnamese fusion Bahn mi shop opening in Elmhurst. I finally ended up getting a chance after stumbling upon their new outpost in the Tangram Mall food court (which honestly I was underwhelmed by after hearing so much hype). The ginger seitan vegetarian option was quite good. It had a nice amount of mayo and got some extra kick from a combo of jalapeños and kimchis as add-ons. Overall a very solid sandwich.

Need a consistently good bite? This is the spot for you in Tangram. Fast moving and not too pricey, Joju delivers fresh Vietnamese flavors. Order from the kiosk or person. You only get two sauces for free. One of them has to be the fish sauce! The bbq pork is a meaty bite that makes you crave for more. The Vietnamese caramel pork is tasty and has amazing texture with every bite. It's tangram so it's going to be loud, you may have difficulty finding a seat in the food hall.

Love this place. My favorite place for a bank mi sandwich. The sandwiches are huge. This place also has amazing bowls. I love their bowls because they're different. The chicken is always super juicy. It is a small spot but it's great. They have a small seating area. They have an app you can order online for pickup. They also have an option for delivery, but they use outside delivery services like Grubhub or uber eats. I promise it will become one of your favorites if not your favorite bahn mi spot.

Super sweet rice bowl. Not recommended. Made for white people.

Made for white people. The crumbled meat was so sweet it tasted like candy. The rice bowl was incoherent even as i love a good Asian fusion. But the over-sugared meat is the real crime. Maybe the banh mi is better but the server was super enthusiastic about the rice bowl, which imho is less than mid. And nothing like a good rice bowl in queens, which is where this is from. Sigh.

Its inside Tamgram and Ive been to this place many times! Theres a few seats outside of this stall but it gets really crowded during lunch time. I alwayd get the caramelized pork and its always so good! You get a lot for what you waya nd the lychee mojito was really good as well. The service was fast.

I usually enjoy JoJu, but their Thai Iced Tea felt a bit off - it was kind of watery. That said, their banh mi is still solid and worth it! Overall, I prefer their Elmhurst location better.

    Kimchi fries fried chicken

Super crunchy and big chicken wings! I loved the sweet & sour sauce on the side even though the hot was not actually spicy. The fries are not so great and the kimchi fries had way too much spicy mayo the fries were so drenched you couldn't taste anything else.

Bulgogi customized w little veggies for the kiddo.

Loved the bulgogi vietnamese sandwich ($15). Bread is fresh, well toasted and kid-approved.

I loved Joju's original location when I first discovered it many years ago. I was happy to find out that a new location opened in my hometown, Flushing! I got my Beef Bulgogi and it was delicious just how I remembered. I even got an extra sandwich for my out-of-state friend (who loved it when she tasted it as well)!

This place feels like a hidden gem you almost want to keep secret... but it's just too good not to share. What makes Pho Metro stand out right away is how authentic it feels. You can tell this is truly a labor of love. One guy runs the show and somehow manages to do it all, from cooking to serving, and the care he puts into the food absolutely shows in every single bite. It has that comforting, homemade quality that makes you feel like you've stepped into a small family kitchen rather than just another restaurant. The food itself is outstanding. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, from the herbs to the broth. I highly recommend the thin noodles with the spicy lemongrass broth (you can request this if it's not listed). It's bursting with flavor, slightly tangy, perfectly spicy, and deeply savory in a way that warms you from the inside out. Every spoonful feels like a cozy blanket on a cold day. The summer rolls are another must-order. They're fresh, light, and packed with flavor, and the peanut sauce that comes with them is absolutely delicious. It's rich, savory, and addictive enough that you'll find yourself scraping the cup to get every last drop. Another detail I really appreciated is how everything you need is right at your fingertips. All the sauces are readily available at the table, so you can customize your bowl exactly how you like it without having to ask or wait. It makes the whole experience feel easy, comfortable, and welcoming. And don't skip the Thai iced tea. It's perfectly sweet, creamy, and refreshing, especially alongside the bold flavors of the pho. It's the kind of drink that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. Overall, this place delivers on flavor, authenticity, and heart. It's rare to find a spot where you can truly taste the effort and pride in every dish, but Pho Metro does exactly that. I will absolutely be returning again and again. If you're in the area, make the stop. You won't be disappointed.

Straight up 1970-1980 Asian restaurant style. The place is basically 20 or so tables in a glass windowed surrounding (if you know you know). So don't forget you came for the food. I got they Goi Cuon- summer roll shrimp, pork and vegetable roll cold for $9 for two rolls with peanut sauce. And for the entree it was Tai Chin Nam Gan combination rice noodles beef soup with fresh eye of round, navel and tendon for $15 for a large bowl. Bowls come in regular for $13 large for $15 and extra large for $16. Just saying large was a very good portion. So the food was grade A, Service was an A and the ambience was a C. I also highly suggest the Com Suon Bi if you like rice with pork and pork skin or the Bun Thit Nuong (vermicelli noodles with pork). And, always get a large portion of the spring rolls.
