    Pumas Torta

If you are going to eat this Torta bring friends with you in order to be able to finish it. Otherwise, you will have leftovers for days. The wait was long but so worth it. There is a small stand the sells snacks and aguas frescas. So the makes the wait a bit short. The owner came to check on the line and assure us he is moving as fast as he can. To give us great customer service. The taste of the torta was delicious I would like to go back and try the other tortas on the menu.

Visited Sat night at 10 pm, was lucky there was no line. Ordered torta pumas as usual. Bread is soft, fillings are good. Don't expect great customer service - you order, you wait, get your torta and pay. That's it. Minimal conversation. Parking can be difficult in the area.

Okay, so there's hype and then there's reality and for real ...this was the BIGGEST & one of the BEST torta I've ever had!! We ordered the Puma because it's their signature torta. TORTA PUMAS $19 milanesa, jamón, queso de puerco, chorizo, huevo, salchicha y quesillo (breaded chicken, ham, head cheese, chorizo, scrambled eggs, hot dog & oaxaca cheese) Not listed but included in our Puma was lettuce, tomato, jalapeños & mayo. I'm not sure if this is the permanent location for this food truck but it looks like it is. The man and women cooking was so cute and lovely and took care making this beast of a sandwich. The bread is soft and the filling is probably more than one person could possibly eat. It was cut in half and even just a half split between the two of us was tooo much but also sooo amazing. If you are craving a torta and don't mind the trek, Tortas Neza will not disappoint. MY STAR RATING 0-5 Service: 5 Food: 5 Space/Ambiance: 4 Price/Value: 5 Just so we're clear on my rating. I rate as 3 stars being average and we go up and down from there based on the whole experience, not just the food. If I'm giving a 5 star review it's because the experience was exceptionally above average from start to end and everything in between.

Had to finally try out these famous Tortas. I went at 7PM on a Friday and there was no line, only had to wait 10 mins for 1 Torta. We got the Torta la selección (steak, onions, tomato.& jalapeño). It was HUGE. Delicious and the bread was really good and held up well. I would definitely recommend. Come hungry and not alone!

The Torta Tuzos (steak, onions and cheese) was a good choice. I ate half for dinner and the other half for breakfast!

I had the Torta Tuzos (steak, onions and cheese), it was a good choice. I had half for dinner and half for breakfast the next day! Will definitely recommend.

Known for their gigantic tortas, and for a reason. First of all the tortas was like 8-12 inches in diameter, and only for ~$14-$15. This fed 3 ppl for us. Food was also really good in flavor. Meat is not super tender but I think the flavor makes up for it with all the baked beans, lettuce, jalapeños, etc. They also give quite the amount of meat. The bun is also fluffier/softer than I thought, which soaked up all the juice nicely. The menu on the truck may have some English translation errors but you'd definitely get by. Fun fact, the line may take a while since ppl tend to buy like 6 at once. Food cart looks nice and clean and is parked between 111st and 103rd st train station and they tie a cloth at the top to provide shade for their customers waiting in line :) They also got drinks they sell on the side. You can buy a drink as you wait. We got a horchata for $6, which was a pretty large cup.

Hands down, the biggest torta I've ever seen. I could barely finish a quarter of it, and I'm a big guy who can crush a good sized sandwich. But it doesn't matter how big a torta is if it doesn't taste good... thankfully this torta was delicious. I went with the pumas, as it's their flagship torta. There's a lot going on here, but it all works wonderfully together. I'll have to go back and try something more simple, but glad I got this. The owners were friendly and the torta was made with care- a true work of art! Bread was fantastic too. Definitely recommend!

Just want to share that the truck is back. I seen it a couple of times as I walked by. He fixed up his truck- nice blue truck now. Torta Puma is still $15. Will be back with more torta in the stomach....

These tortas are without a doubt worth the hype. I've been wanting to come for some time now and finally got around to grabbing one of these giant sandwiches. I thought for sure the flavor wouldn't be there since it was so big but man was I wrong. It was bursting with flavor. The next time I come through I'll be splitting the biggest one they have with a few of my co workers. Come hungry and bring cash!

This is the best place to eat tortas, it's very good, flavorful, good portions, and good service,

So a nice looking novel sandwich and absolutely out of this world huge, but combined together the sandwich felt rather bland and the ingredients tasted rather sketchy. They had a sausage, chicken cutlet, egg omelette like thing and queso cheese combined along with some other ingredients in this sandwich that i couldnt really make out, unfortunately i needed alot of sauce to make this sandwich taste like anything more than just meat and grease and mystery meat. This place is a small operation but they could defintely do more as far as providing more of a kick and flavor to this product

I don't understand the negative reviews. What is the expectation with a business that is literally carved into the front of a bar? That they keep normal hours and have reception? Perhaps call forwarding? Look: it's delicious, cheap food made by a super-friendly guy with youtube playing on vallenatos on autoplay. I've only ever had the Tortas Pumas, but I can't wait to go back. I get them for pairs of hungry people. My friends are big eaters but if you manage to eat more than half in one sitting, seek medical treatment. It most strongly resembles one of the sandwiches Shaggy would make on Scooby Doo. Love this place.

The best tortas in queens. Make sure to get there early, as there is a line before they open up. I recommend the Pumas torta.

Still around? Drove by location on Roosevelt at 4pm on a Thursday no truck. Found it down the road then blocked unopened?

It used to be a food truck. Then he opened a stand at Juan bar. He has aspiration of reopening the food truck again. Food is amazing. Not sure where is his current location.

All the portions were rather small and was not served hot. Didn't really like the spice flavorings of any skewers. Also there was some sort of unpleasant after taste. It could be just me. Maybe that spice is an acquired taste. The good: squid was tender. But you get 4 tiny pieces on a stick.

My skewers were served hot and it was delicious. Back in Szechuan this is typically street food. Usually they sell you a handful of raw skewers and you stick the raw skewers in the hotpot to boil until cooked. You consume while standing in front of the cart. This one however was served to you cooked in either a bag (if you order maybe 2 pcs) and in a tall cup if you order more than a few. The flavor was good. Very typical of Szechuan hotpot. I loved it. The serving is also typical of a skewer stick, few pieces on a stick. Price was averaging $1.50 each which was also typical I also ordered the rose jelly. That's also typically eaten with this kind of food, because it's spicy and numbing, you cook down with the sweet and cold brown sugar or rose jelly. This was my second try and I'd try every time I'm in flushing.

Carrito El Guerrero, located just outside of Queens Crossing mall (#1), has maintained a steady presence giving folks an option outside Asian cuisine. Like many Mexican carts in Jackson Heights and Corona, they offer a myriad of options ranging from tacos to huaraches to picaditas. Not surprisingly they have non-Mexican options like pupusas on the menu. For time saving reasons, I usually end up ordering tacos. At the standard NYC price of $3 each (#2), the various tacos I've tried (carnitas, asada, chorizo, al pastor) were somewhat mediocre. They're certainly not better than anything in nearby Corona but they do the job, especially when one isn't feeling like Asian food. I've had better results with their cemitas, picaditas, and even their quesadillas. They are sometimes a little too generous with the lettuce and I ask them to scale it back. The pupusas are pretty disappointing, but that was a gamble from the get go. As expected, its cash only. ____________ (#1) After bouncing around several other locations in downtown Flushing.
