We got Pollo and Al pastor. I highly recommend them and then going to winners for a cheap $7 drink. They are right next to the R/M train station at Elmhurst. We waited under 10 mins because it was super early like 8pm. They were there about an hour before we ordered. The customer service was great. We got extra sauces for free. El Picosito tends to pop up around here in Elmhurst during the wee hours (#1) but is otherwise in the thick of it with other taco trucks in Corona. They're normally situated right outside of Winners Bar (#2), providing nourishment to intoxicated folks across the neighborhood. They're certainly more than just a taco truck, the variety of items includes foods such as tostadas, nachos, burritos, cemitas, sopes, huaraches, etc. The tacos are far and away their most popular item but the tostadas and cemitas are worth a look. Similarly to other NY based taco trucks, I do think they're a little heavy handed on the lettuce and tomato, but that's a personal preference. I do like that instead of diluting their avocado with their green salsa, they will offer chunks of it over things like nachos. The "philly cheese stake" is kind of an abomination; very much like a torta with cooked beef and onions. Sober palates will find the food average at best but the food more than hits the spot for most drunkards. The prices have been on the higher side for years. They were among the first to bring the taco prices to beyond $3, which was a trend no one wanted. Being adventurous, I tried the Lengua (cow's tongue) Nachos. Lengua was so tender and despite it having barely any flavor, it goes great with the nachos - which comes with bean sauce, cheese, chopped tomatoes, avocado slices, white sour cream sauce, and green sauce on the side. We stared at the menu for a good 10-15 minutes to try to figure out what each of the meanings of the meats written in Spanish were. Finally, my friend decided that he wanted a Quesadilla, and after much long deliberation, I decided on a Carne Enchilada Taco. Carne Enchilada Taco $3- Each order comes with a slice of fragrant lime. Carne Enchilada is beef in chili sauce. The Taco was about the size of my palm. It had a generous helping of well seasoned meat, finished off with finely chopped cilantro. The missing ingredient to hold it all together would be avocado. Overall it was very delicious, nonetheless. One is about enough to make you satiated. Quesadilla $6- Super generous portion of meats, some mixed veggies, & Parmesan. The quesadilla is like a giant counterpart to the Taco, but with a crispier shell. This was super good as well. Made to order taco truck. Portions are pretty descent. I ordered 2 Tortillas with Carnitas (each is $ 2.50) They put a good portion of meat, and on top of it there's lettuce, cheese, sour cream, tomato sliced. I get full with 2. Waiting to make an order is kinda terrible here. They should work a little faster (they are the slowest service I've seen by far). It's just because they were 2 blocks away from my home. MUST TRY TACO TRUCK Ever since my friend took me here, I'm always finding an excuse to be around elmhurst so I can get the tacos. THEYRE SO GOOOD. I have bi-weekly cravings for their tacos LOL Its $2.50 for a taco and they have different meats such as chicken, beef, sausage, beef tongue (i think beef?), and goat! It comes with a red and green sauce which are delicious with the tacos! Careful not to put too much of the green sauce on it cause it is pretty spicy!! The menu is in spanish but you can ask them what kind of meats they have! They're english isnt that great but theyre very friendly! One of my favorite late night food trucks. Huge portions, great price, quick, open late. How can you say no to that? Their burritos are some of the biggest I've had ever along with their tortas. Packed out with a lot of stuff. Warning, their hot sauce is pretty spicy but maybe I'm just being a weenie about it. Their tacos are amazing! I really recommend the beef tongue. As weird as it sounds it's actually very good. Be a little open minded! Try it out. Who knew you could find a really good taco place around a neighborhood primarily filled with Asian cuisine and supermarkets?! Though this place is actually a truck, it is one of my new favorite places to get tacos. I recently just tried this truck for the first time and I was definitely blown away. From the exterior, the taco seems a bit shady and old especially with their outside menu posted faded and handwritten updated prices. I ordered a carne enchilada taco which was a decent size for the price of $3. When I took a bite of the taco, it was amazing. The meat of the taco was well seasoned that it melted in your mouth, the texture of the meat was near perfect. I am not a big fan of radish but the thinly sliced radish on top of the taco, I could hardly taste it. There was a combination of flavors especially with added green sauce of spicy and savory. The only part of the taco I was not fond of was the soft tortilla shell. I found the shell a bit too dry and thin and it did not compliment the taste of the meat. The taco truck sells a variety of tacos and I highly recommend this place whenever you are in the Elmhurst area and looking for cheap eats! This taco truck has saved me so many times from late night hunger. I was a bit appalled that the per taco price is $0.50 higher than the trucks in Jackson Heights. I'm frugal. I'm not going to complain about that anymore bc this tack truck is literally only 4 mins walk from my apartment and they are quick and sooo many options! My favorite here is the chorizo and the pig ears tacos, very nice flavors and texture. 3 tacos is enough to fill me and they do an excellent job of wrapping the tacos so when I bring them home they are all still intact. Passed by so many times and finally tried. It was late like almost 12 but there was a short line still. We had taco and quesadilla. All veges tasted fresh not watery soggy, which is a big plus. The meat and cheese was ok. Price is fair toward cheap. Also clean: the staff handled cash using only one hand cautiously. Will try some other time. read more

This place is great! Whenever I come home super late I would always come to this taco truck. It's cheap and really good. They have burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. I've had them all and they're great. I always pick some up for me and my sister when I'm walking home. They're cash only so make sure to go to a bank before. There's an HSBC just a block away and Walgreens. This taco truck is also conveniently located right outside the Elmhurst train stop so it's so easy to get to if you live in the area. Been coming here for a few months now. The Tacos are delicious, I've tried almost all of them, but I will say the chorizo taco is my favorite. It has the most flavor and it comes in a hefty amount. Each taco is $2.50, I usually order 3 or more. The truck doesn't arrive till late in the afternoon, but it stays there till after 12am. I would say it takes an average of 5 minutes for 3 tacos to be ready. The guys working there are great, fast and know what they are doing. read more
