    Chicken tacos

Oh my goodness. We ordered our many tacos to go. I must say those shrimp tacos are the best here! Yes, they have cheese, and yes they have the works (onions, guacamole, cilantro). It comes with salsa. So good! The beef and chicken ones are tasty also. We walked in Saturday evening, and the place was packed for the World Cup. It was cute inside and had lots of waitresses working. I saw many families and friends sitting and enjoying their meals. I think that it's raining tacos song has got us thinking about tacos all the time. Now, we get a craving for tacos on the regular. Good thing this place is available to meet those cravings!

My 5th try on this restaurant. I had a love of first taste at this restaurant back in 2016. Everything was on point. Service was fast and friendly . Ambiance was simple & humble. Food tasted fresh and flavorful. I forced my significant other to try one last time! Maybbeeeeee they change the way they run this place or the chefs 1. We wer seated right away... but they took 30 mins to take our order.. my bf was about to leave he said he'd rather get the tacos from the food truck it would be faster and yummier 2. Another long extra 30 minutes for our order. Finally it came 3. Tacos was alright nothing special but my steak taste frozen NO FLAVOR AT ALL taste RUBBERY. My mouth had a workout .. . Guacamole has no taste and mushy weirdest guac I ever tasted... the beans bland.. absolutely NO FLAVOR.. I think all the chefs are allergic to SALT & PEPPER .. 4. You call the server .. and ask for something and they would never come back . Trying not to look and ignore you.. MANAGER OR THE OWNER COME ONNN DONT YOU SEE WHATS GOING ON. This is not a so called Mexican restaurant if you can't serve decent food. Shut the door or change your chef . It's falling apart .

Been looking to try more different places for tacos around the neighborhood and I'm glad to say I'll be back! Overall a 4.5/5 for my first experience here. I got 2 al pastor ($3.5 ea) and 1 shrimp ($5.5) taco. The tacos were pretty solid and the portions were great. The al pastor was the winner here for me and I would order it again. The shrimp had a bit of spiciness which wasn't expected, but overall the seasoning wasn't my personal favorite. The price was good, although the shrimp one was slightly on the pricy side. Card cash accepted and my order came out in a timely manner. Will return to try more tacos soon!

Seems like a totally newly renovated! Very nice and clean place, good music and ambiance. Very nice and friendly staff. All Smiles and genuinely welcomed. Felt good. I'm a small eater. Ordered a tamale, a shrimp taco and a chicken taco. Thoroughly enjoyed ‼‼ I Wish them success! Will def go back!

Super friendly staff. We got the nachos, enchiladas, and each of the 3 tamales. Personal favorite: the verde tamale and cheese enchiladas. A HUGE hunk of cheese in each of the 5 that the plate came with, fully bathed in a large pool of mole.

Came for Mexican food and this place never disappoints. They're horchata drink is pretty good. I tried a huarache with carne asada and it was amazing. The meat had tons of flavor. Tacos are good the only thing is they add guacamole to them which is not done in Mexico but you can ask for authentic Mexican tacos and they won't put any on them. Ask for the guacamole on the side and sip the chips you get in them. Their drinks are pretty cheap as well.

Coatzingo Restaurant is one of many Mexican restaurants on Roosevelt Ave. The restaurants in this area seem to be one right after the other and must also compete with food trucks in a very fierce competition for customers. The restaurant is long and narrow with seating for about 50 or so. A couple of well place TVs and decor is very average, but if the food is good, then we are long time friends. Coatzingo Restaurant does not disappoint. My order consisted of carne enchilada, lengua and spicy beef tacos. Only three tacos, but let me tell you I was stuffed. Turkey Day stuffed. The three tacos where packed with meat and a ton of guacamole. The home run was the carne enchilada. It was spicy. It was tasty. It was delicious. The lengua was a bit over done for my taste, but had good flavor. The spicy beef, which was boiled, was way over done. A little on the mush side. Not my favorite, but passable. My only real objection was that there was to much guac. Yes, that is right, to much GUAC. I know how could you have to much guac, but it overpowered the taco. Had to remove some so I could enjoy the tacos. By the way the guac was delicious. Nice texture and flavor. Had it with some chips and heaven. No guac went to waste lol. Overall, Coatzingo Restaurant will be part of my rotation of Mexican restaurants that I enjoy on Roosevelt Ave. Food is hot and tasty. Service is very attentive with a smile. Standard Mexican beers at $5. CASH ONLY. Two last points. I notice lots of families which I like, tells me food is good; and some amazing looking entrees overflowing with color and food. yum.......

Probably one of the top 3 restaurants in Roosevelt that serves great food and deliveries. I've been a patron for almost 7 years, since meeting my bf and now husband going on dates. The rice and beans is definitely the best in town. Chips and guac is great too, more saucy than chunky so be aware of the difference in authenticity from regions of Mexico. Tacos are so good here, priced at 3 bucks its double wrapped in tortilla and come with salsas. Quesadillas are bb and hold up well for deliveries. The Cemita Torta is great too a must try. Service is fast and worth the visit. Dont get confused with the other Coatzingo named places, this one takes te crown. Oh and yes they have a large selection of Mexican beers :)

So happy to find this gem in Queens. Authentic, flavorful Mexican food that doesn't skimp on the "extras" and margaritas (plain, passion fruit, mango). I tried the "res" enchiladas and al pastor tacos. My favorite part was the mounds of guacamole on my taco. The enchilada plate was great too - came with 3 and rice and beans. I wish the margs were a little cheaper as that seemed at odds with the price of our food. However, overall cost is cheap. I was also digging the Latin . Really made a perfect start to a weekend.

The menu is entirely in Spanish but the waiters can help if needed. We ordered the Gobernador taco, a half dozen shrimp, the regular guacamole and the aguachiles verdes. The Gobernador was a large size - really more like a mini quesadilla than a taco in my mind. It was flavorful and filled with seafood. The half dozen shrimp were cooked well, but a little hard and messy to peel. The guac was good, a little oily but tasty. The aguachiles were really good but borderline too spicy for me. The spice continued to build as I ate them and it did feel less enjoyable but it was good to start. My main grievance with this restaurant was how loud it was. I was yelling and struggling to hear what my friend or the waiter said, but the food was delicious. Maybe if it were less crowded it would be ok, but definitely not a great atmosphere for having a conversation.

I ordered Carne Asada ,Medium . Which I never received, it wasn't like it was busy or anything. Server never once came to our table asking if anything was ok . I just waited patiently for my meal . After her Meal was finished she flagged down the server and asked where is my meal . She then apologized stating she forgot to put my order in .. I was upset after she walks by our table all night seeing me sitting there with no dinner. A good server would ask how is everything, but no not once . I said then cancel the order but my partner insisted I eat , but then after I decided to have it bagged to go . I had lost my appetite. I asked for the check with the server apologizing, I said it's ok but the restaurant should at lest comp the my girlfriend her one cocktail . But that didn't even happen.. The food looked great as far as I could tell , owner was sitting at the front of the Restaurant, didn't ask tables at anytime if customers are happy with their food and service. I don't get it I he noticed me sitting there with an empty table and a coke . I don't think Food or Location is the problem, it's missing customer service, and wait staff should be trained properly. My food is still in the fridge , lost my desire to try . Place wasn't even busy . I am giving 3 stars just for the chef , wasn't her fault. Table service and management 0 stars .
