Went around 630pm and it wasn't crowded at all. It was very quiet Ordered several dishes and they were all good. Except for the melted cheese with sausage. It was very oily and hardened so fast that you could not dip that much. Not again. Ceviche with octopus was good. Ordered three tacos and they were fine. The Spanish corn was great. The margaritas were very good. read more

After a decade of patronizing this restaurant, my favorite, tonight they acted like they didn't know me. I waited an hour for my dinner when there were about six tables of patrons. I have ALWAYS ordered a second margarita, but tonight no one asked if I wanted another. Their food is excellent, the ambience is great, but after a decade of visiting, I was hurt to be treated so poorly. Did I do something wrong, Chihuahua? read more

I've only ordered the tortilla soup from Chihuahua but it was absolutely delicious. The oaxacan cheese, avocado, broth- what's not to love? On top of that, albeit I ordered takeout the interior of this place is really cute & the waitstaff are really nice. I'd go back & dine in next time. read more

Best place for mexican. Drinks are 10/10, fresh guac made to your liking - can't go wrong.

Great place in Sunnyside. The food was fresh and came out hot. They make their chicken empanadas in house and they were delicious. My friends liked their tacos and the guac was excellent. I really liked my passionfruit marg. The service here is incredibly attentive. The ambiance is lively here. Would definitely come back again. read more

**Delivery Review** Trying another Mexican restaurant through delivery on Uber Eats. Great selection on the menu with fantastic reviews, so had to give it a shot. Between two people, ordered the Pulled Pork Torta ($12), Guacamole ($17), and Chile Relleno ($17). Torta is your basic sandwich - layered with pork, tomato, lettuce, avocado, and sauce. Meat is marinated well, and the avocado/tomatoes are ripe. Toasted bread out the whole thing together. Guacamole is chunky and served alongside thick-cut tortilla chips. Could have used more spice and salt, but otherwise good. Chile Relleno is a full entree with a stuffed pepper, tangy sauce, and rice/beans. Delivery was fine, took a little longer than expected but not on the restaurant. Would like to try in person. read more

No stars for food, 5 stars for service but I'm going to average it with a 2. The nachos are not your typical nachos. Each chip had toppings on it as opposed to a whole plate of traditional nachos. This meant I couldn't eat them since I don't eat beef. Usually I can just eat around or under but nope. My mom didn't like them but my uncle ate them. He said they weren't horrible. The guacamole had so much lime juice it was inedible. I got the shrimp Diablo and it was some of the weirdest tasting shrimp I've ever had. My mom had the garlic shrimp and her shrimp tasted even worse to me. I never like to send food back. Id rather pay for my meal and get something to eat after but my mom asked if I could send it back and get something else. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating they gave me new food right away and came to check if it was better. read more

Bland. Mexican food is amazing why under season? No vibes here the age group is older. Music is boring. Upside full bar and tv with sports playing in the background. The decor is ok. The service meh. read more

What a hidden gem ! I almost didn't want to share this place with the world because it's that good , but they totally deserve the recognition. I've been coming here for a while and everything is fresh and delicious- authentic Mexican food! I typically have their ceviche , pomegranate guacamole ( yes pomegranate, thank me later ) , their beef or carnitas tacos ( you can mix and match up to 3) and their flan (all featured in the pics) . To drink I have their tamarind frozen margarita. I love the food , their warm service and the fact that it's a low key spot . I'm already counting the days to go back . read more

This place was ho hum. Nothing to write home to Cancun about Appetizers: Nachos with beef were ok. Guacamole was under seasoned Nacho chips were nice and crispy. Main dishes: Quesadilla was purportedly good (friend ordered it). The problem was my dish. I ordered the mixed meat platter. Chorizo was good, chicken was good but the steak was rubbery and too well done (I asked for medium). I sent it back. It came back undercooked the second time. I sent it back AGAIN. It came back too well down and loaded with salt! Anyway, the chef should stick to me is a cuisine. He is bad at steak which is really an art form. I consider myself a steak connoisseur having frequented Lugers, S&M, Bobby Van's, Quality Meats, amongst other (best steak is still in Texas, sorry NY). Drink were ok. A little too sweet for my taste (more of a single malt and beer kind of guy). They gave us complementary coconut margaritas and banana tequila shots hi hi was very nice. I went with my beautiful wife and two of her friends. The eBay part of the night was the service. The girls were incredible hospitable and nice. For four people, the bill came out to about $300 including rip, which is RIDICULOUSLY expensive for this part of town. Over the top actually. Not sure if I would go again a s there are better Mexican palace in town (and I've been to many!!!!!) read more

I've only been here once, but I get the feeling that this is a solid, neighborhood staple. Me and my friends tried burritos, quesadillas, soup, and a mole chicken dish. We also had chips and guac for an appetizer. Everything is delicious and fresh. Portions are generous, and the prices are great for a sit-in restaurant. We also loved the service and vibrant decor. This is a great place to relax and have dinner with friends. Highly recommend! read more

Absolutely amazing. The food is very delicious, the restaurant is extremely clean. The service is amazing and they are so so nice. I highly recommend coming here very often. One small factor though is the prices are a little "ambitious " but I still come so often read more

The fish tacos were the bomb with shrimp a close second. I got the three tacos and chose the carnitas, shrimp and fish. The carnitas was a hard pass. Not very flavorful and tough. Thankfully the fish tacos saved the day. No breading which means you can taste the fish. I wish I'd gotten just those. Yum. The staff adhered to COVID precautions. read more

Food here is amazing. Service is great the only downside to me was the quantity of food they definitely could serve bigger portions.

Ever since they opened Chihuahua Has been the in place to go to get Traditional Mexican food in Sunny side. From Tacos to Entraña to Seafoods ALL are great! And you cannot past up on the Guacamole! I miss the old Bliss Street Station bar but Chihuahua is fantastic. I ordered the mixed plate (chicken, steak and chorizo with rice and beans) came out sizzling. Probably the best thing I've eaten in a restaurant this year. Margaritas? Spicy and heavy poured. Lovely staff for even a Tuesday afternoon. Wifey had the vegetarian enchiladas. Everything was fresh. No canned mushrooms. The real deal. Come have that fiesta. read more

Ordered take-out and SO disappointed. We just move to the neighborhood and as a Latina I like trying all the Hispanic restaraunt to find our fav and this is going straight to bottom of list. The esquite was $10 for very small portion and had no cotija on it. The empanadas de pollo had NO SEASONING. None. Truly just ground chicken with no seasoning. The burrito de pollo also was very very bland. Even the churros weren't authentic or good. Go anywhere else for more authentic food please !! read more

I came here for lunch and the place wasn't crowded so we decided to sit at the bar. I wasn't super hungry but I decided to get something small, I went with the chicken tacos and a passion fruit margarita. While I chatted with my friend and waited for our order they brought us some complimentary chips. they didn't come with regular salsa but some warm brown dip, not sure what it was but it was delicious. Soon our meal came and my tacos were great, since I wasn't super hungry I didn't finish them and took the rest home. I was shocked how good they tasted a day later being reheated in the microwave. Also I noticed how many Mexicans came here to eat and pick up food. I'm a big believer that if they eat here it must be pretty authentic. read more

Came in on a Tuesday night and it was pretty empty. The place itself is very clean and I enjoyed the romantic atmosphere/decoration. The waiters were very nice and friendly. The only thing I found weird was that they didn't give complimentary chips & salsa that I'm used to getting at Mexican restaurants. I saw pics of it based on other Yelp reviews. Not sure if the staff forgot or if they don't give chips anymore.. Now let me tell you, the tacos were phenomenal! It costs a dollar extra to get 3 different proteins. I got the al pastor, carnitas, and chicken tinga. Meat was all AMAZINGLY seasoned and tender! So juicy and good. Also surprisingly very filling! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely come back again. read more

My go to mexican place in sunnyside. They have great food and cocktails. Prices have gone up a little with inflation, but they remain reasonably priced for the neighborhood. The staff are welcoming and the ambiance is a comfortable blend between a local joint and a more casual upscale place. As mentioned in a few reviews, they have taken a little creative license with some staple foods, like the nachos, which came as a bit of a surprise, but they were really tasty all the same. read more

I was finally able to come back to Chihuahua and my visit was just as great as my last one! Safe to say, this is still of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Tacos - you can mix and match for $13, which to me is a great deal especially when Im usually ordering shrimp and fish tacos. Drinks - great prices & delicious Service - our waitress was very sweet and worked efficiently. I noticed that the staff worked well together as a team. Price - i cant get over how reasonable the prices are given that the food and drinks are so delicious. We were pleasantly surprised with two complimentary tequila shots with the bill. Give this gem a shot! You won't be disappointed. read more

Probably my favorite Mexican spot to dine in Sunnyside. Service was great; food was good. Came here on Saturday night with my boyfriend, it wasnt to crowded so our host sat us right away. We ordered and received some sort of warm sauce and chips. I didnt care for whatever the sauce was but the chips were really good. I ordered the margarita and my boyfriend had a long island tea. The drinks were good pretty average. For my entree I had three different varieties of their tacos. One was pork and the other two steak, it was really good and moist I believe the pork also had pineapple. My boyfriend had the steak fajitas with came with rice, black beans and tortillas, he isnt very picky so I'll speak for him and say he enjoyed it. Overall the food and service here is good and if I'm ever back in the area I would try it again. read more

This place rules. It wasn't too busy on a Friday evening and we got delicious, fresh guac made right in front of us!
