Loved the crepe itself (great texture and level of sweetness) and enjoyed the flavors except for the whipped yogurt. It added a sour taste that I wasn't a big fan of. The chocolate gelato was extremely rich but tasty! The food was also very well packaged for takeout

We were interested in the sweet crepes but there are savory ones too. Prices range from around $10-12. There are mini options for some items for about $2 less. Additional cost for other toppings. When I first went here when they opened, there were no beverages but now, saw coffee and tea on the menu. I was happy with my mango deluxe, filled with different mango preparations, and gelato on the side. The sliced mangos looked raw but it was ok bec. gave a crunch. Got both sweet and tangy tastes to the crepe. Have to bite around it and tear the sleeve as needed so may be hard to share. The fuji apple crepe didn't seem as filled. Chose to order via the kiosk bec can read all the options. Staff is nice. A small place but there are a few tables, also counter seating by the window. No restroom.

i like that these crepes were different from french and it wasn't terrible but maybe i'd get a regular dessert crepe next time. i wasn't a fan of the eggs and i wasn't a fan of the oil/grease pool at the bottom of my cone

What's there NOT to love about T-Swirl Crepes! Great location smack dab in the middle of Forest Hills amidst all the nearby bars and restaurants. Perfect way to end a night out! My favorite is their #10 - Chocolate Nut Party. It's a chocolate lovers dream. Service is quick and accommodating (even to substitutions) and the seating area has just enough space inside if you want to dine in.

The crepe shop is on the second floor of a busy street on Austin. I had a sudden craving for crepes and I'm happy there's one so close by. It was hard to choose a flavor from their menu since the menu is so expansive. They have savory and sweet crepes with a lot of unique options. I decided to get the t swirl fruit cocktail crepe (a mix of all different types of fresh fruit and added custard cream, pistachios and chocolate pearls). I asked for no whipped yogurt but they seem to have forgotten. No biggie. The crepe is served in a paper sleeve, which was inconvenient to eat out of. It took more effort to peel the sleeve than to eat the crepe . Overall the crepe was good enough to satisfy my cravings, but still on the hunt for a good crepe in this area.

I had my first sweet crepe here that didn't have ice cream, and boy did it feel light and refreshing! Came here for a quick dessert. Unfortunately when I was there, they were out of lychee. Thankfully, their Mango Raspberry crepe was very tasty, so I did not end the night too disappointed! A pretty good crepe place for what I got, availability aside.

Ice cubes in my berry "slush"

TLDR: the food and drinks are great when made properly, but it seems like the quality varies a lot :( I actually ate at this shop before and really liked it. So much so that I came back to share it with my friend this afternoon but we had a very different experience and I was really disappointed. We only ordered two slushes and were the only people in the store except for a lady waiting on some crepes. Even though there were 2 employees we waited at least 20 minutes for the two drinks. The man behind the counter made what I could tell was my drink first and left it sitting behind the counter for around 10 minutes while he worked on the other. When they finally gave them to us mine was completely liquid (which made me think it melted from sitting so long) but turns out it was half full of whole ice cubes. My friends drink was blended slightly better but still so thick that it was hard to drink even with the big boba straws. It's a shame because I really enjoyed the first berry slush I had there, but for $8 a drink and a pretty extensive wait, today definitely changed my opinion of the store.

Absolute waste of money!! I'm not sure what's up with most places nowadays charging ridiculous prices. I paid $19.60 for 2 crepes and trust me there's nothing phenomenal about them. This is mind boggling as to how they charge $9 for a crepe that's just Nutella, banana, and strawberries. Oh it's $2 extra if you want to add Nutella. The fact there's an extra charge for $2 hmm I expected a lot of Nutella but dang they really stole my Nutella. Quantity doesn't match the price they charge. Next time I shall make a quick shopping trip to Walmart to buy bananas, strawberries, and Nutella if I decide to ever come back here for crepes!! But that won't be necessary as I refuse to come back. Q) Worth your money? NO Q) Quantity for the price paid? The portions are not great for the price paid Q) Cleanliness Overall place was clean Q) Parking Street and parking lots Q) Recommended? I do not recommend this place at all to anyone!!

Such a disappointment! This is a plain Jane when it comes to crapes. Save your money visit another crape place. The gelato isn't even placed into the crape, given in a small container. Every other topping is extra. Sooooo not worth the visit

The food is super yummy. They have sweet and savory crepes. The service is fast and helpful. The place is small with indoor and outdoor seating. They also have online ordering.

the architecture in t-swirl crepes are always consistent and its very nice to see that in every one i go to. this one was no exception. the crepe displays were very cute and the staff was really nice. i really like being able to see them make my crepe in real time because it makes me feel like I'm not really waiting for it. i got the chocolate nut party which is my go-to since it's my favorite flavor and it was delicious. i really love the chocolate gelato they put on top because it has that perfect chocolate flavor.

    Great packaging for to-go orders.

I ordered the short ribs and the five-onion soup again, and both were excellent. The service was spot-on and impressively quick--my food arrived in under 15 minutes. The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

Well, at least business was "Blooming" due to Mother's Day reservations…read more All jokes aside, I visited this restaurant yesterday for a Mother's Day brunch with a group of eight others. Our reservation had been confirmed the day before by both our host and the restaurant. When I arrived early, I was surprised to find the place jam-packed and clearly overcrowded. The front-of-house staff, along with the presumed owner, seemed overwhelmed and initially could not locate our 12:00 reservation. There were also guests with 11:30 and later reservations that were still waiting to be seated, along with several other groups scheduled around our time. After waiting nearly 50 minutes, talking with others who were also waiting, and watching two other tables be hastily set up and filled, we were finally seated. The table had been quickly wiped down and set with placemats, but it was missing silverware and several glasses. Most of this was resolved fairly quickly, though two people still never received glasses, with one person asking a few times for one. Our clearly overworked waitress brought us water and eventually took our order after a shorter additional wait. I ordered a $6 cappuccino, which was enjoyable, with a moderate amount of foam and a pleasantly bitter flavor without tasting over-roasted. However, another person's $4.50 iced coffee did not seem worth the price, as it appeared to be no more than a 12-ounce glass and was mostly filled with ice. Outside of coffee, the staff was understandably slow with water, with long waits, and we finally got a pitcher near the end of the meal. For my meal, I chose the $16 Poached Browns, which included two poached eggs, pulled pork, an English muffin, hollandaise sauce, and their Bloom hash. Many minutes later, and I mean many, the eggs were properly poached and were the highlight of the dish. The pulled pork, served without any additional sauce, was dry, and the small amount of hollandaise did little to help. The hash on the side lacked crispiness and vegetables, aside from what might have been a tiny piece of chopped yellow pepper. Overall, it was below average but passable. Two others ordered the Make Your Own Omelette for $19, which comes with a choice of three ingredients, the same hash, and bacon. They made two specific requests, both of which our waitress confirmed: first, that they did not want bacon, and second, that they could substitute fries for the hash--regular fries for one person and sweet potato fries for the other. Despite this, both plates arrived with bacon, as you can see in my first photo, where one of them transferred her bacon to my plate. The other person sent her plate back and ended up receiving her Mother's Day meal well after everyone else. The omelette also looked a bit more like a frittata, which I didn't mind. After waiting a while, including finally getting pitchers of water, we finally left after a long and annoying bunch. If this spot indeed had reservation issues, why on earth were they still allowing walk-ins? Why did they tell people it would take 15-20 minutes to seat when it would clearly take 30+? This entire experience was inept from beginning to end. The food this time is closer to a 2, but our experience as a whole was closer to a 1. I would never go back.

There was overlap in terms of this place. Seeing as how I have a good wood fired artisan pizza place in my job this should be decent I said to myself. As I'm sat down and poured my water I almost am already convinced which pizza I want but I look through just to read the nice lists of ingredients and picture each pie mentally. I ordered this nice pie with sausage and grano padano and notice I can add certain toppings. I chose egg because why not make it a pizza brunch? Pizza comes quick and hot. Tastes delightfully sweet and the char adds personality. The place is nice and rustic, warm and inviting btw. I appreciate the runner/busser as they operated as I would( I am one myself). They were quick and efficient in turning the table that just left, making sure he cleans the table in the same motion. The sunlight revealed a dirty table next to me so not all is perfect there. All in all though a tasty and pleasant experience. I would come back with friends to try more food and do a little day drinking. Nice spot in a cozy area of Astoria. Would recommend.

I was exuberant for the occasion of goodness to patronize, at long last. What gives you hope. There is an outdoor seating patio that occupies the entire sidewalk and half the street. The weather was gloomy cloudy, but not raining which enable my party of two to dine outdoors. Our table was uneven wobbling and shaking minimal the entire meal which reminisce "Lisa from Temecula" sketch from "Saturday Night Live," but not as violently aggressive shaking. Customer service is average attentive. Oddly, our appetizers arrived first and my wine did not. We had to request my wine which should be distributed first without request or reminder, thus the four stars. This restaurant was not entirely busy nor crowded for a Friday early afternoon. Nick's Bistro is a small cafe with a modern aesthetic appeal. I enjoy and prefer to be well-cultured expose to all international cuisines without judgment and an open mind for appreciation and global awareness. I am not knowledgeable with Greek cuisine, but I do know that Astoria is the locale for the go-to restaurants. I enter with a empty stomach. I exited fulfilled. Business cards and candy were available for grabs. Nick's Bistro is easily accessible via MTA NYC Transit buses Q53 SBS/ Q52 SBS and then Q54. Dramatic irony: this business name is also the name of my former love - not the same Nick, certainly not the same man. My foodie synopsis: Lamb gyro sandwich, $12.00 The meat was soft, but fresh and Tzatziki sauce was heavy. I do not consume lamb often, but once in a blue moon I would not exclude lamb to consume. The pita bread was the highlight which was fresh, soft and cooked with a good consistency without burning or harden. The gyro contain very pauacity minimal vegetables of lettuce, half cherry tomato and red onion. I always prefer red onion. I prefer regular tomato. This sandwich ate my fill to sustain hunger pangs the entire afternoon. Gyro sandwich is always my default Greek entrée of choice. Oddly, this entrée is price higher than listed on their website for $9.00. I do not believe their website is updated for price. Caesar salad, small $11.25 It was fresh and delightful filled with Parmesan shaved cheese. This portion is actually medium size. The croutons are thankfully not hard, but I never like croutons at all. I am always enamored with the lettuce. Ruffino, Chianti, 2019 red wine $12.00 This wine is one of my favorite reds, but it is difficult to find at most restaurants or cafés not widely offered. It was a joyous delight. It is exactly as is dry, very medium-bodied smooth finish Italian red wine from Tuscany, Italy, crafted from indigenous Sangiovese grape. It highlight bright cherry flavors and surely tasted. I was floating in very high spirits. Chicken rice soup, pint $6.95 Served luke warm but not piping hot with steam visibly emitted. It was also served with Oyster crackers. It was enjoyable and warm the heart. Greek Omelet, over easy egg whites $16.50 It was served with Greek feta cheese with vegetables yellow zucchini and pita chips. I highly despise Greek feta cheese and the same for Greek yogurt because both are extremely heavy, thick and too rich. I do not see any tomatoes. This entrée did appeared well prepared and well cooked but no runny yoke. My neighbor thoroughly enjoyed this entrée. Every time I think of omelet it bring flashbacks from past long-haul international flights major airlines of standard airplane food popularity for in-flight breakfast, often served with potatoes, sausage, or roasted vegetables. Nostalgia brew. Omelet? Flight attendant, I'll take the Continental with pastries, toast and fresh fruit please. Then followed by Bedtime Care Bear make me fall asleep again.

This place feels like a hidden gem you almost want to keep secret... but it's just too good not to share. What makes Pho Metro stand out right away is how authentic it feels. You can tell this is truly a labor of love. One guy runs the show and somehow manages to do it all, from cooking to serving, and the care he puts into the food absolutely shows in every single bite. It has that comforting, homemade quality that makes you feel like you've stepped into a small family kitchen rather than just another restaurant. The food itself is outstanding. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, from the herbs to the broth. I highly recommend the thin noodles with the spicy lemongrass broth (you can request this if it's not listed). It's bursting with flavor, slightly tangy, perfectly spicy, and deeply savory in a way that warms you from the inside out. Every spoonful feels like a cozy blanket on a cold day. The summer rolls are another must-order. They're fresh, light, and packed with flavor, and the peanut sauce that comes with them is absolutely delicious. It's rich, savory, and addictive enough that you'll find yourself scraping the cup to get every last drop. Another detail I really appreciated is how everything you need is right at your fingertips. All the sauces are readily available at the table, so you can customize your bowl exactly how you like it without having to ask or wait. It makes the whole experience feel easy, comfortable, and welcoming. And don't skip the Thai iced tea. It's perfectly sweet, creamy, and refreshing, especially alongside the bold flavors of the pho. It's the kind of drink that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. Overall, this place delivers on flavor, authenticity, and heart. It's rare to find a spot where you can truly taste the effort and pride in every dish, but Pho Metro does exactly that. I will absolutely be returning again and again.
