Freda I.

Service is nice but the cookies are hard. So sad. I asked for the brookie, hard. I asked for the chocolate chip cookie, even harder.

Banana Split

They have liquor infused ice cream. Haven't seen that anywhere else. Their servings are very generous. 3 scoops for a pup cup. They also sell cookies. Tried 3 samples: banana, lemon pie, & pure pistachio. Didn't like any: lemon pie was too sour, banana too artificial, pistachio barely had a flavor. 3/5 Banana split: the bananas & whipped cream were the best part 2/5 chocolate ice cream- too sweet & not chocolatey enough, where's the rich chocolate flavor? we expected a slight dark chocolate flavor, like the ones you get from the grocery store 3/5 strawberry ice cream: decent, standard, slightly tart

I read someone talking about this ice-cream/bakery shop in my neighborhood and had to check them out. I knew I wanted to try the banana ice-cream and when I arrived at the store I was amazed at all the other options. The staff were very friendly and patient since other customers seemed indecisive about what to order. The store is pretty small with about four tables and several chairs. It was nicely airconditioned and clean. There were a few customers in front of me so I was able to browse a bit before making a decision. OMG, they had the booze infused ice-cream that I love. I decided on the small cup of banana ice-cream and a brownie monster cookie. I sat and ate the ice-cream and while sitting I watched a video of their store and learned about so many different unique baked goods they offer. My ice-cream was good but I wished I had added some toppings. I ate my cookie the following day which was very rich and it was still soft and delicious. I most certainly will be returning to check out some other menu items.

The most lackluster ice cream I've ever tasted. The store is cute and cozy and clean and the service was great. Also, the serving size is huge! I gave stars for that. I tried 3 different samples, not really liking them and decided to get a pup up of chocolate, thinking you can't ruin chocolate. Well, friends, this was the most underwhelming chocolate I've ever tasted. For me, the flavors here are on their way, but don't reach their full potential.

Definitely a must try if you like cookies and ice cream. A variety of unique crafted cookies and milk shakes made to your liking.

red velvet cookie.

Cookies where cold and rock solid even after i asked to warm them. The cashier had an attitude snatched my item twice, it was 11:30pm they close at 12:00 everything was packed up she had all the cookies off display. Just not it.

This my second visit to this new location in forest hills. So far I have tried the Dubai chocolate, Nutella, Red velvet cookies and it gets a big thumbs up. The staff are friendly and helpful. The shop is small and cozy.

Been wanting to try this dessert shop/cafe for a while (those viral videos helped). They offer…read moretraditional Cantonese-style desserts & some hot foods in a cute modern cozy cafe setting. I got the ($14) Pandan jelly with Mango & Durian (sago pearls & coconut milk). I ordered it to go thinking the dish would be too big to finish, but it's actually very light and refreshing, and not heavy at all. There were diners there sharing one large shaved ice and I assumed most of the dessert soups would be just as big. But usually Chinese desserts are not overly rich or heavy. The staff said that they could switch out the Durian for extra mango, but they were nice enough to pack a little bit of Durian on the side for me to dry - and no! The whole dessert doesn't smell like durian. Everything was packed extremely well - the liquid was in its own little dispensing pouch. Very nice attention to detail. Pandan is an herby vanilla flavor from Southeast Asian. I think The noodles were made out of rice flour? It was like a soft creamy pudding thick noodle. You can easily scoop into them alongside the mango, coconut milk, sago pearls. Every part of the dessert was very fresh and not too sweet! Had to control the late night snack, and save the rest for the next day. Don't think this kept well, there was a lot of liquid that seeped out of the tapioca pearls or noodles (delicious pandan flavor still!)? But it still wasn't too stiff the next day. Excited to try as other items like the ginger, milk, pudding, but I think I made an excellent choice with this dish, and the price point seemed high at first, but each ingredient to be made fresh on the same day. I'll be back! Curious about the hot café foods too.

Flavor profiles were hitting in all directions I didn't know which one to pick as my favorite! Durian mango coconut pudding - Durian wasn't overpowering at all and the mango shined in this dessert. The mango was nice and sweet, yet tart, soft and not at all unripe. The durian bits were creamy and custard-y, while the coconut pudding served as the perfect base for the dessert. Light and smooth Taro with mochi dessert- This was a taro sweet soup and had the consistency as black sesame soup. The taro was potent and the aroma was very prominent. The mochi was nice and soft, yet chewy. I was not expecting to like this one as much as I did. Ginger pudding - Utterly delicious. The ginger flavor and taste was insanely strong and the pudding was jiggly soft. Not too sweet and almost tasted spicy in a sense from the ginger. Super solid pudding. I'd come back just to get this again honestly.

When we arrived, there was a line on both sides- to sit down and the to go order. Since today is our first visit here but not our friends, we patiently waited for our turn to get a table. Corner table is not bad. We picked one of their best selling items- banana split, 2 scoops of ice cream. Comes with free whipped cream , choice of syrup, rainbow sprinkles a cherry. Extra charge for any added item like any toppings. Price is reasonable for the serving size, it can be shared. The server is ready to give extra cutlery. A glass of water should be asked, not automatically given. There is nothing extraordinary for the taste of the ice cream except the fact that all flavors are home made. The 1930's decors, classic kitchen gadgets, existing old style but refurbished furniture's , is selling popular candies in early 30's and original atm machines version still working are things that make this place extraordinary , an additional things to look forward to and keeping customers coming back. A monopoly Queen's edition board game puts a smile on my face when I find out that they are selling it for a good fee and includes a $20 gift card with it. Right away purchased it. Definitely coming back to try their other popular and hot items. By the way when we are about to leave, there was a long line waiting for seats.

It took us a while to decide on what to buy partly because we were buying also for our friends. Naturally, we were asked relatedly by at least the different staff if we needed help or if we were ready to order. Each time, they seemed genuinely want to help, and made us feel welcome with their smiles and gentle demeanor. For myself, the pistachio muffin was totally satisfying and I confirm they did not slump on the nuts. The crunchy eclair was a BIG hit with our friends, and the rest is kind of a blur but I know we enjoyed everything we tried. We'd go back without hesitation. I hope they keep up the great work.

I've had my eye on this place for years - should have come here sooner…read more Black sesame basque cheesecake: my favorite of the 4 I tried. This is actually cheesecake rather than the lighter Japanese version, with a strong black sesame flavor. Hojicha creme brulee: this came as part of a promotion, and the taste is strong. They do brulee the top on the spot and my sugar top got a little too burnt. Oolong tea cheesecake: still good, would get this again still. Lighter flavor but the floral flavor does come out at the end of a bite. Coconut milk jelly: the lightest of the flavor but still sweet and flavorful enough to come through. There's a dusting of graham crackers and strawberry jelly to complement. We also got a hot matcha jasmine latte but it was actually cold. It seems like it normally comes iced and perhaps they have no way of warming up the jasmine part. There's a points program and tons of promotions that rotate. There have also been different desserts that rotate so I'll have to keep coming back to try more. They have a lunch special too where you can get a drink or dessert for less cost.
