    Stun Dunn Pizza very good!
    Jennifer T.

The pizza here is AMAZING! The pizza dough is to die for! The dough is soft and chewy! We all loved it! We had the Stun Dunn, The Ghost, and The Queen with extra cheese. Our favorite was The Queen probably because we added extra cheese to that pie. All of them were delicious though. For dessert we had the basque cheesecake, chocolate budino and chocolate gelato. The basque cheesecake was FANTASTIC! I'd definitely order that again! The chocolate budino and chocolate gelato were good, but not good enough for me to order more than once. I highly recommend Milkfower in Astoria!

Amazing pizza, amazing service and great ambiance. I tried the Jimmy Snuka pizza which has jalapeño, tomatoe, mozzarella and pineapple. It was delicious, I like that they have great variety on the pizza styles looking forward to trying the others. Highly recommend!

Ordered delivery last month and the Stun Dunn pizza was so good that I had to update this review so I don't forget to get it every time. One of the best white pizzas I've ever had. Spicy soppressata also perfect as always!

    Local 82 Pizza

Amazing wood fired pizzas and will officially be added to my Astoria restaurant rotation! I came here on a Monday evening and there was no wait at all. Their pizzas are big enough to share with another person if you're not too hungry, but you can definitely get one for yourself. We got the Local 82 ($23) and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce tasted so fresh and I loved the bit of spice that came from the meat + jalapeños. It also wasn't too greasy and the crust had the perfect amount of chew. Service is so fast- I think we waited less than 10 mins for the pie to come out after we ordered. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other pizzas! Just note they don't take reservations so I recommend coming on a weekday or earlier for dinner since it can get busy quick!

Food: pizzas were pretty good. Didn't love the side dishes as much. Felt like the octopus was not cooked enough or needed more of a grill on it. The meatballs were pretty good. And the broccoli rabe was nothing special. Service: waiter was attentive, gave suggestions, and water/wine was always refilled without any issues Ambiance: decor and music was nice. Walk in restaurant and came on a Wednesday night around dinner time with no issues getting seated.

    Van Dammer pizza

It's been a few years since I've been to Milkflower and have always had a pleasant experience. This is no exception. We ordered the Van Dammer which is a pizza with brussel sprouts and a fried egg. It sounds bizarre but it works! Also got the ricotta with fig and artesinal bread and that was probably the highlight. The hint of thyme really ties it all together. The wood fired eggplant/zucchini was also good but I personally don't think it's worth the $. The decor remains unchanged from the last time we came which is nice. It's a very warm dining area with a hip vibe. Our experience was nearly 5 star. Only minor complaint was the waitress. She seemed a little distracted by other patron's dogs which is understandable. But it wasn't that busy and we did have to wait a bit for our order to be taken and also forgot my beer. But I'm just splitting hairs now, she was still very courteous.

    Lamache with pork ragu
    Yanne B.

I wfh and my daughter asked me if I wanted dinner. She was heading here for a bite. I asked for the Lamache with pork ragu. The taste is good but where's the ragu?? There's barely any sauce on it. Had a ton of chili oil but again. Where's the sauce??? I'll go try it in person another time. Because my thing is going at least 3 times to a place and at different times to see the difference. But not a good start.

Food was really good. We had a Cesar salad, not pictured, that was great. The spot is small but cute. Service was good and attentive. Check it out.

This is an easy five star wood fired pizzeria. Every pie made fresh and with top quality ingredients. There's not a wrong choice on their entire menu. Awesome selection of wines and beers however, I do wish they had a full bar because that will elevate Milkflower to a six star review. Staff is super cool and the vibe is next level.

    Roasted Meatballs
    Chelsea A.

The meatballs were my favorite meal, it was so tasty and warm! I loved how it was presented with the skillet. The pasta was mediocre at best. Lacked pepper and flavor but it was okay. The pizza was so good too, I loved it. The service was super fast, got seated immediately and the server was very attentive. One side note: the bathroom here is a single bathroom for all genders so it gets easily crowded and a line forms near your table. Something to consider if you wanna avoid that!

    Chocolate budino
    Stephanie C.

Had a weeknight dinner here because we were intrigued by the many pizza topping combinations and fun names. The space was pretty loud so it was hard to have a conversation, but some of the food made up for it. Hits: crab cake, meatballs, pizza, and budino. The crab cake had large chunks of crab (we love to see it!) and was paired with a fresh salad. The meatballs were tender and bathed in a lovely tomato sauce. The pizza crust was top-notch, with a nice chew and crisp bottom. It could've used a little acidity to offset the meat, chard, and mushrooms, but it was delicious regardless. And the budino was perfect, light and dark chocolatey, nary a bite was left behind. Misses: haricot vert, roasted zucchini & eggplant. The green beans were tough and needed a more flavorful vinaigrette and the eggplant was also bland--although the zucchini were excellent, tasting like pure summer. Overall, a satisfying dinner!

Ordered this place for takeout. Might be my favorite pizza spot! Wood-fired pizza and few unique options/toppings. Comes in personal pies - 6 slices. Can be finished by one hungry person for sure. Spicy soppressata - wasn't super spicy but delicious and generous with the toppings. The honey was subtle but a nice touch to the saltiness of the pizza. S.T. the ghost - my favorite one. blend of cheese on this is amazing and the burnt honey again is great against the saltiness of pizza. Both pizzas are superrrr thin crust and so delicious. I would come back just for S.T. the ghost. Price is reasonable for a gourmet-style personal pizza. I'm hoping to come in person to try their pizzas fresh.

I was also able to do a no-sauce pizza since I can't do tomato sauce anymore. Perhaps some sauce would have made the crust less hard and crunchy, but while delicious, my pizza was hard and crunchy. Even the cute little branded pizza cutter that came with my pizza had a hard time making slices. But it was tasty and satisfied my craving for pizza. Nowhere near the best vegan gluten-free pizza I've ever had but it'll do the job well enough. And it's a little pricey but it's specialty ingredients, I suppose. Not something I'd get on a regular basis but maybe on special occasions.

While deciding where to go one day, this was suggested and im so glad I went. The restaurant is cozy with tables inside the main dining room and in an enclosed outdoor seating area. Im guessing it opens in the summer. I sat down with my niece while waiting for my sister and for a good 5-7 minutes, no one stopped by and gave a menu nor offered water. Finally after about 3 people walked by not saying anything, someone came. The area is not that big and 7 minutes isnt that long but to sit there any not be addressed by all the staff walking by was annoying. Finally my sister came and we were offered water and a menu. After hearing about the specials and asking for recommendations, we settled on the gnocchi (housemade potato gnocchi, burrata, peas, pesto sauce, toasted pine nuts), Pappardelle alla Bolognese (housemade ribbon pasta, meat sauce), and side of sautéed spinach. The food arrived and we were pleasantly delightful by the main. The gnocchi was so soft and creamy, the sauce was delicious. Im not a fan of gnocchi but this was so good. The papardelle was my meal and it was also so good. There was a lot of pasta and a good amount of meat sauce. It was also delicious. The spinach on the other hand was bland. It has no flavor and we had to add some salt. A few times we tried to call someone over to our table but felt like no one was paying attention. When we were done with our meals, my sister had a few pieces of gnocchi left. She asked for a box as it was to be my nieces lunch for tomorrow. I then said, can you also box up the spinach. A few minutes later, the server dropped off a bag with one container and said here's the spinach. We tried to call his attention but he was already walking away. Where was the gnocchi. Finally when we came back, we asked about it and he said oh I thought it was garbage. I said no we asked for it to be boxed. He said let me talk to the kitchen. He came back and said sorry, they cant do anything but one dessert will be on me. I guess thats fine but we more wanted the food for the baby. For dessert we ordered a tiramisu and pistachio gelato. The tiramisu was in a jar as opposed to a cake slice. One bite of the ice cream and I knew it was bad. It was grainy and sandy texture. I looked up why that would be and one reason stated it could be improper storage, like it was unfrozen or melted then refrozen. I wasn't chancing that. I told the server and said I couldn't eat it. He offered another dessert but I said know, then offered a limoncello shot. While I appreciate the offer, we weren't drinking before so that wasn't the best option to offer. I just said im fine without a replacement. When we got the bill, the dessert was taken off like he said he would. We paid and left. Overall the main course/pasta meals were delicious. The sides and desserts could use work. Service was alright. Id definitely come back for the food and to try some of the pizza.

Branzino Special with Cannelli Beans and Swiss Chard. This was the winner of the evening. The cripsy skin was amazing. The fish was cooked to perfection, the cannelli beans I thought were going to be weird but it added a nice creaminess to the fish. Lastly the swiss chard was crunchy on the ends and nice and tender on the leaf. This should be put on the regular menu. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA&select=xNVfJCmf89OOY-1ME3FY7Q Controfiletto- grilled prime angus N.Y. strip steak served with roasted marble potatoes. I hate to say it but as good as the steak was, the roasted potatoes was the star of show. The potatoes were amazing. Pappardelle alla Bolognese- housemade ribbon pasta, meat sauce. This was good but came off a bit plain. The pasta was homemade but it was almost to a fault since the pasta came out too soft. The flavors were good but I felt this would have been a better, reheated the next day kind of dish.
