Really great pizza addition to the relative pizza desert that is LIC, albeit closer to the Queensboro area. Lots of great slice/pie options that give L'industrie vibes, as well as some heros that have caught a lot of hype themselves. I finally stopped by the other day on my way home from Finback, and opted to get their Baby Luka (prosciutto and burrata) to go - was still pretty crisp by the time I got back home (near the waterfront), though the burrata melted a wee bit - but the taste was spot on. Solid solid slice, and very friendly staff and owners (and put on a hell of a Knicks Finals watch party)! Can't wait to stop by to try some more of their slices (like that fig/bacon/ricotta) and heros (especially their cheesesteak)! Solid slice! Thin, crispy, light, just the way I like my pizzas. We tried the Baby Luka, margherita, and Jax Special slices. The margherita was great-- gravity-defyingly crispy and not heavy like typical slices. My friend thought that the Jax Special could've used more of the vodka sauce flavor--it could've passed for a regular cheese slice. The Baby Luka was good, a little on the oily side so definitely an indulgence. This spot looks great--it'll definitely be a hit in the summer. My only ask would be to display the pizzas! They're still getting it together and slices are hit or miss here, but it's convenient enough to where I live (and we are in such desperate need of pizza in the area) that this spot is already in the rotation. I love having a lot of pizza places in the area, I've grown tired of hot pots and bubble tea. This pizza place didn't quite make the cut. The service was super slow and they looked unorganized. It took about twenty minutes for four slices. They don't display the slices in the front. There was definitely too many cooks in the kitchen. I'm only giving them 3 stars because they have only been open for several days. I honestly didn't like the pizza, it was better when it was Juliettes. I definitely have to come back in a month or two. I don't want to leave a local pizza place with three stars. They do sell an IPA here which is pretty cool. We did get the cola that came in a glass. The slices I had was a fake marg slice that was just a regular. I had the other slice that was called the baby luca. The vodka slice was pretty much a joke, such a soggy slice, glad that wasn't my slice. They were sold out of the white slice at 5pm. I want to come back to try the white slice. I say give them a try just wait a couple more weeks till they got their kitchen sorted. The place was super packed. Theres only like 7 or 8 stools with no backs. This pizza joint is so yummy. I love how they include "gourmet" or fancier pizza flavors like fig and spicy vodka. Quality you can taste. The service is efficient and there's some seating if you wanna eat really quick, but don't expect to fully dine in here for long as it's a bit quick and go here Only pizza I didn't like is the middle one in my pic, forgot the name but it has prosciutto. My first encounter with Jax was a good one. Two friends and I each had a slice. I opted for the vodka sauce and it was lip-smackingly good. Visually, it looks just like a regular slice, but you can really taste the vodka sauce. The slices are likely inspired by L'industrie (similar flavors and the slices have the same style), but that's a good thing -- the pizza here is really good. They are thing with a little bit of crisp, but I feel their sauce is really good. I came on opening day and got the Baby Luka (which was amazing with the burrata) and the FBR (which was solid but a little too sweet for my liking because of the fig jam). My friends and I ordered the FBR & Jax special. The pizza was okay (nothing too out of the ordinary). The bottom of the pizza came out burnt, so we were quite disappointed by that. The service was also extremely slow (we waited for approximately 35-40minutes and the inside was extremely crowded. There is limited seating indoors, so I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are wanting to enjoy the pizza on the spot. read more

From the people that brought you Utopia Bagels, another incredible business! We came by for the Grand Opening and tried two slices - the margherita and the Jax Special, which had vodka sauce and shaved parm. On the margherita, the crust was paper thin, and while there was a little flop, the flavor of the dough sauce and cheese were great. A nice crisp bite of a classic pizza with a particularly strong crust. Now the Jax Special, on the other hand, no notes at all. Absolutely incredible vodka sauce, amazing flavor, spot on crust with a great crisp. A legendary slice. I came here with high expectations as I've heard great things, but I was not impressed. I don't know if it's just a matter of timing or what ( I came around 6pm on a Monday), but my Blanco slice felt like eating cardboard with hardened cheese on top of it. The margarita slice was better, but still not great. This pizza shop is a gem and I'm so happy they opened up! They have delicious slices which are thin crust and the service is super friendly. The pepperoni is a classic and my favorite here. The pizza has that perfect char and great carriage, so every slice holds up beautifully and tastes incredible without feeling too heavy.As you can see from the photo, my daughter gave it a big thumbs up (which is always the real test).
