Authentic authentic authentic.... They have not modernized and ruined the old school ways of fantastic Korean style pastries. Also, the Bingsu is to die forZ Worth an out of the way drive...

small place that packs a huge punch. Their patbingsu is legit. Their homemade dduk is legit. I love their yaksik, and my fiancee's family loves their injulmi. During busy hours, good luck trying to get a table. People sit there and just gossip all day. Yum Yum.

This places bingsu is just out of the world GOOD! This is my first time there but I instantly fall in love with this place!! The place is pretty quiet, mostly Koreans go there. Their green tea bingsu is amazing! It's NOT overly sweeet yet they got almond slices, CRUNCHY RED DATES SLICES, mochi, red bean paste! It's just enough sweetness for bingsu. I made a mental note that this place became the place I would go to for bingsu ~ This place closes at 6 so be aware of time.

jujube bingsu

The jujube bingsu ($10) was just alright. I've had MUCH better quality in Seoul. But you obviously can't match/beat Korea. This, however, didn't come close. I thought the Pat (red bean) was a little too sweet (overpowering), and the ice shavings weren't ultra fine, giving it a mediocre taste, overall...

My family and I have been purchasing their rice cakes for a long time because Yedang is one of the only legitimate and fresh korean rice cake stores in the area. My mom refuses to buy New year's rice cake from anywhere other than here, but sadly, they have lost our loyalty. My mom purchased several bags of rice cake for New Year's a few days in advance for our family and to gift her friends. However, my mom along with one of her friends noticed obvious mold on the rice cakes shortly after. They were refrigerated immediately once home, so it could not have been due to our mishandling. We called Yedang immediately after noticing and brought it over in-person for an exchange. To our disappointment, the lady handling our issue was very unprofessional and inattentive. She suspected us of lying and was very ill-mannered in managing our complaint. Initially, my mom was planning to exchange it for a fresh batch but after that disappointing experience, she asked for a refund to purchase the rice cake elsewhere. Good products, but poor service.

Amazing Korean rice cake/dessert parlor that has a traditional, upscale feel (but people are dressed casually) and has very fair prices for their goodies! :) highly recommend

Red bean patbingsoo

The first thing notice when you walk in is the earthy and homey smell...but from that I had a feeling this place is authentic. I got the red bean patbingsoo. It came in this cute gold bowl and spoon. The toppings were red bean dates, chestnut, pieces of mochi (so good), and dried dates (added a nice crunch to the plate). There were probably other stuff in there but it was gone too fast for me to know.

One of the few places in Queens that makes their own rice cakes. If you stop by in the morning, you can get freshly made rice cakes, which taste amazing.

This is my all time favorite place. Their patbingsu is the best. Their rice cakes are the best & the lady is so nice. 5 stars for sure.

I hate summer but I love bingsoo. (Korean shaved ice) Thank the Lord for no more scorching hot days. Anyways, this is the best bingsoo I had in my life HANDS DOWN. This is not some typical bingsoo you get at any old Korean cafe. They uses quality ingredients (which makes it pricy) with Korean traditional flavors. I tried the green tea and su jung gwa (Korean cinnamon tea) bingsoo. My personal favorite is the su jung gwa bingsoo which contains dried persimmons, dried dates, pieces of rice cake drenched in su jung gwa tea in shaved ice. I'm mesmerized by their quality ingredients as well as their authenticity. If I can get a chance to learn how to make these rice cakes and teas from these ladies it would be an honor!

Green tea & red bean patbingsu "To-go", chopssal dduk, caramel rice cakes, grilled sweet rice cakes w/nuts! DELICIOUS & FRESH!

Totally a fan! It was my first visit with my buddy and fellow Yelper Jo I. The environment and…read moreaesthetic is a much welcomed concept in Queens. Walking in, you see green, lots of it in the form of lush plants and flowers everywhere. There is no over powering scents and the high ceilings do make the space feel open and calm. The counter to order is closer to the rear of the store and there's plenty of cafe style seating and communal seating all around. In warmer months, they put small tables and chairs outside on the sidewalk. The artisanal coffee here is what sets them apart. Bold flavor choices, robust and velvety varieties. Many options to choose from, check out the menu pics. I had the Americano and loved it. We also ordered hot food while hanging out. As they are popular for brunch, Jo and I shared the lemon curd blueberry pancakes as well as the savory salmon lox pancake. We likely over ordered but didn't mind, as we're always open to trying more dishes. The lemon curd blueberry was our favorite. I liked that there was extra lemon curd on the side and the blueberries were fresh. They were lightly dusted with powered sugar and thankfully not bathed in syrup. It was a light and satisfying dish even though it was pancakes. Didn't feel heavy at all. The ice cream was a nice touch so you could consider this as a dessert. The lox and eggs were really good as well. Those pancakes were topped with tomato, greens and avocado. Like a full meal on a plate. So glad we shared everything. I'd totally recommend a dine in experience so you can try the food once it's prepared. We both bought sandwiches to go for our family and those held up well considering it needed to be transported home. I recommend the ham and cheese croissant sandwich.

beautiful atmosphere. fun specialty drinks. lots of seating rules…read more the amount of specialty drinks was great - fun matchas and lattes (menus pictured in this review). the ube matcha tasted as if they used actual ube and not extract. you could taste more of the potato flavor and there was even potato pulp in the drink. my partner got the salted maple latte and he said the flavor was good - he could taste the salt. my issue was with the temperature of both drinks. my iced matcha was too warm and my partners hot latte was not warm enough. the ice in my matcha melted immediately and my drink was still warm. but it's nice to know the drinks aren't all ice like other places. seating has various rules - if it's the 2nd tuesday and there happens to be a full moon you cannot sit at this table... jokes but that's what it felt like.

I am very picky with coffee because I am a big coffee fanatic and always trying different coffee shops, but I absolutely fell in love here. The atmosphere is cozy, quiet, and has a beautiful antique style. It is a small space, but so cute and inviting. There is a few seats inside and some outdoor seating as well, which makes it really nice to enjoy your drink. The barista was so helpful and informative. Any questions I had, she answered, and it really added to the experience. I ordered the chestnut latte, an iced latte, and the purple yam cookie. Everything was absolutely delicious. The chestnut latte was amazing. I didn't even realize it wasn't coffee at first, but it was made with freshly ground chestnuts and it tasted warm, cozy, and Christmasy. The iced latte was perfect, smooth, and not bitter at all. My coffee tasted sweet and flavorful even before adding any sweetener. The purple yam cookie was also incredible. Everything is baked in-house, which I really appreciate because you can taste the quality. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you get, and I definitely feel like it is worth it. I cannot wait to go back and try the purple yam latte next. This is hands down one of the best coffee experiences I have ever had. I will definitely be coming here more often.
