Fay Da Bakery always offer consistent food quality and almost the same variety of food offering for years. However, they should offer different menu options from time to time... Overall, Fay Da Bakery offers affordable, convenient, and quick food offering.

I couldn't believe that I would like the eat these traditional Chinese bun. I thought I would love the new style bakery more such as Matcha Cream Croissant in Shakalaka or Paris Baguette. But one day, my grandmother brought me a pineapple bun and then I started loving it. There is also a custard stuffed pineapple bun. My boyfriend love it soooo much. My friend also recommend Taro Bun and Tuna Bun, Raisin bun to me, they are all taste good. Really recommend this traditional Chinese bakery to everyone.

Where else can I find good Chines bakery in the east coast? We'll, I will have to say it's in NY. Flushing has a large Chinese community so you know you can always find authentic Chinese stuff here. Other than the restaurants and supermarkets, you'd be amazed how good the Chinese bakery can be. I love the Chinese bakery because even for a non-desert loving person like my self, I actually like Chinese desert. Why? Because they are not overwhelmed with sugar like most American deserts. One of my favorite Chinese desert is the Chinese egg tart. The crust outside is light and crispy while the egg tart in the middle stays soft. And, you guessed it, it's not sweet. We usually come by and pick up a lot of stuff good for the whole family for a week. Other than the deserts, I also love their breads in many different varieties. The price is very reasonable and that's why we comes by here every week!

This Fay Da bakery is small but very well stocked. It's a few doors down from the Gold City supermarket and you might miss it if you're cruising down Kissena Blvd. The parking lot looks pretty big but it's deceptive because it's always packed with people shopping at Gold City and getting a parking spot is cutthroat. But if I'm on foot or on the bus, I like stopping here to pick up baos for breakfast for the whole week. I pop a roast pork or ham & egg bun in the microwave at the office and I have an instant hot breakfast. The gai pai (aka chicken pie) is a mini meal in itself. Get one fresh from the revolving carousel warmer along with a curry beef puff or apple turnover. I like the fact that they post the date and time that everything is made. On this last trip, I got 9 different items and it only came out to $15.95.

A chain bakery located in Kissena blvd. The place is small and the service attitude was bad, she didn't respond to my questions at all. But anyway, the bread was great! I'm in loved with the taro pastry

I have been here for more than 1 year because it is the closest Fay Da Bakery from my house. Even after they raised price, or had really bad bubble tea, I still came. But today I finally decided no more this location. They can not do both raising price and making it smaller portion in the same time. Look at my pictures and you understand. I have to check other Fay Da Bakery locations.

I keep coming back to this bakery because I love the ingredients they use! I get bubble tea sometimes from here, and they use real tea and no powders. Same with the smoothie- fresh strawberries were used. I recommend the smoothie very much! Now, the pastries and cakes are simple and convenient- perfect for tea time or when you have no time to eat and want to grab something for on-the-go.

Soooo fresh so puffy so good and so guilty.

The quality has improved quite a lot so does the price. Understandable tho. The sesame balls are the best! Unlike other bakery shops make them so hard on the shells n fillings are hollow n separated. FYI, they have most varieties among all Chinese bakery shops.

It's definitely not as eggy as the sponge cakes at Kam Hing in Manhattan Chinatown (The GOAT!!) but this version is much better than the ones at Golden Sponge Cakes in the Golden Mall. They were light & fluffy, and pretty good. I only wish they were more "eggy". -- Rainbow Sponge Cake Roll ($17): Pretty good! This log cake combines 3 flavors: vanilla, matcha & strawberry. Tasty, fresh and visually appealing! Customer service was very friendly, welcoming & helpful! Can't wait to go back for that Boston Cream Pie Cake!!

The Coconut was cute looking, but the taste was just okay. Haven't tried the Peach or Banana yet, but plan to at some point. I also enjoy their Black Sesame Bread and a few other pastries. At $2.95 each I got a baked roast pork bun, and a pineapple topping custard bun. Both were very big and every component was high-quality. The pork inside was a natural looking sauce - not bright red, the pork was cut up into regular pieces/strips it was like a healthy meal. The bread part was fluffy, dense and didn't feel like an empty white flour situation. The custard bun had a very generous amount of a custard in it and the pineapple topping didn't crumble off and fall off into pieces, but was very nicely made shell. And it was "Not-too-Sweet"! AND they were also warm! The shop's pretty simple with maybe 10 different items, also frozen baos to go, lotus wrapped sticky rice and tarts, the homemade pineapple cakes looked good. I got a Hong Kong milk tea (hot) $2.25, but the flavors weren't that strong. There were a lot of students picking up snacks, probably from nearby Queens, College, young families, a grandpa and his adult grandson came in for hot milk tea, and egg tarts. The lady who I assume is the boss said she had held a pop-up shop about two years prior which blew up, hence what we see here. The selection here was deceptively small compared to chain bakeries, but it didn't take us long recognise how much power the smaller selection packs and, actually, how the selection really is not small at all. The matcha red bean loaf grabbed my attention straight away and didn't disappoint, but their red bean bun was just as impressive, as it's a more bread-y counterpart to the fluffy versions other bakeries typically have. The onioissant is definitely experimental and worked better on the chive bacon cream cheese one than on the pollack roe, which was a bit too much on the salty and fishy side for my liking. Their chocolate horn is at least twice as big as a typical one you'll find at other bakeries and has a rich dark chocolate filling which was a pleasant surprise. Their coffee brioche pastry was another hit, thanks to the strong coffee filling and delicate layers of pastry. There's ample tables and chairs, beverage menu, and I'm sure we'd come hang if we lived closer. I can't wait to go back.
