Extremely rude. Do not even go here

The women who run this bakery are just nasty and unpleasant. I went in and ordered an egg custard (one of my favorite Chinese pastries) and went to pay. I counted out 10 pennies to give to her for my pastry. She took the pennies and dropped them on the counter and said we only take up to 5 pennies. Seriously?!?! That was absurd. I took my custard and went outside. When I took a bite it was the most disgusting egg tart I have ever ordered. I spit it out immediately. It was greasy and the dough was thick and not flakey. I buy these pastries all the time but I will for sure never pop into this bakery again. I suggest you do the same. The nasty lady behind the counter plus bad baked goods equals an angry tummy!

I adore this bakery. There is definitely something cozy, warm, and different about the atmosphere as well as the offerings than any other Asian bakery I have been to. The inside is very cramped, sometimes you cannot even pass people and just have to wait for them to get out of the way. Everything here is not just made of the same cake batter. There are also cookies and sandwiches, all homemade. The Coconut Cream bun here is the best I have ever had. The green tea cakes are what lured me in to begin with. Almost all of the customers were coming in and ordering Bubble Tea, maybe next time.

I purchased the coconut bread on sunday 9/13. And they all go moldy. And I checked the date it showed outside of package, it shows "sell by 0921-20". I am wondering how long this company have kept the bread on the shelf? It seems out of freshness for pretty long time. So upset and disappointed about this company! I won't back for it anymore!!

Ah, this small place offers plenty of sweets. Great marketing. Everything around it is a restaurant and here we find one bakery place. After a good meal, why not stopping here (if you don't have diabetes that is). Come visit this little place and pick and choose if your favorite sweets. We chose 3 and yummy! That coffee roll really rock! Rock and roll coffee roll!

I recently popped in for a lai cha (tea with milk). They use light cream, so most people who are lactose intolerant can handle it. It is delicious. They speak Chinese and English pretty clearly. I also notice a variety of different buns and snacks. I decided on the bor lo bau (pineapple bun). Yum! I noticed homemade bread and prepared sandwiches. There were different sizes for coffee, hot chocolate, tea, etc. It is small with no seating, so you might as well take it go and eat in the park/playground further down the street.

Came here three times while staying at my friend's in Elmhurst. I was surprised to find that they have Pork Sung bun with Sponge cake, the best thing ever for like $1 or so. I couldn't stop eating it for breakfast while I was there. I haven't found one here in LA, anyone knows? I miss it!

My husband makes the China Town rounds with his parents for shopping and eating. They used to live in China Town Manhattan, Brooklyn and now Flushing but they also shop in Elmhurst and shop in all of the China Towns in the 5 boros. He almost always brings home pastries for me from different bakeries in all of the China Towns they shop at. I choose not to go on these trips because I want to save my ear drums. If you have been around Cantonese families when they are together you know what I mean. Anyway as Lizz K says I like that they are wrapped because I prefer not to eat food that strangers are handling and putting back into the bins. Fully bakery also has their products in many Asian Markets. But the one thing I do not like about it is a few times there have been baked goods that were molded. They are fresh with no preservatives not mass produced, but they mold easily too. They will sell them after they are molded so check them out before buying!

Good selection. Their bakery items are so nice and moist. Just a tip, if something that you're looking for runs out, they usually have more in the back so just ask.

I decided to try their Coconut Pandan cake which was enjoyable except for the jelly they had in the middle. The cake itself was pretty moist and the cream had a nice Pandan flavor. The Portuguese egg tart is what you would expect from one of these bakery's, very basic but it was nice and flaky. The milk tea was also okay, we asked for less sugar so it was not too sweet. We also got the sesame mochi to go and this was delicious! Definitely the best thing I bought from this bakery. The sesame paste was nice and strong but not too gritty and the mochi was super soft. Not impressed with their chicken sandwiches for they were hard and there is tendon in one other chicken sandwich has area that was not edible. The quality definitely not what it use to be here. There were lots of seats and tables for patrons to sit. Notice less foot traffic at this store.

A friend recommended it to me, and I've already ordered two birthday cakes from here. The tiramisu cake was absolutely delicious, honestly one of the best I've ever had. I didn't even know you could customize a tiramisu cake since it's usually served the traditional way, but they made it exactly how I wanted. As someone who loves tiramisu, this really stood out. I also ordered a strawberry shortcake, and it was just as impressive. The buttercream was so good , light, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Everyone loved it, and there wasn't a single slice left. The owner's son (I believe) was super helpful, he really takes the time to understand what you want and brings it to life perfectly. I've also tried their croissants, which are huge and delicious, and the hero bread is excellent too. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash.I'll definitely be ordering all my cakes from here moving forward!

It has actually been a while since I've had it and my friend made a special request specifically for strawberry shortcake for her 50th birthday. Du Bois for the first place that came to mind. Took a quick look online from pics from previous customers and was surprised to see the number of different designs they can do now. I picked this pink flower one that the owner made out of fondant and it was so pretty and exceeded my expectations. There was no additional charge at all. Back in the days....40 years ago, there was one style I remember getting and it was white cream with strawberries. Now there's so many you can pick from. The birthday girl was so happy with the design. I ordered a 20 person cake. There were 2 choices-round or sheet cake. Round is $60 which is what I opted for since I thought it looked prettier and the sheet cake is $50. The round cake actually came out very tall but gorgeous. Harder to cut too since it was taller. The owner was so nice. He custom made the top of the cake box to make sure the cake fit and doesn't get damaged. The fresh cream on the cake is so good. Not too sweet and very light. Perfect with the strawberries. The cake part was moist and yummy. I forgot how much I love this cake. All the nostalgic memories of eating it when I was younger came back. Honestly, I think it's even better than I remember. And the price was so reasonable for such a beautifully decorated cake.

Would love any good suggestions! On a weekend early evening around 5pm and they seemed to have most items in stock. From other reviews seems like they're known for their ube cheese pandesal, ube cake, mango cake, pan de coco and pork asada bun. I picked up a torte Cebuana $3.25 and pan de coco $1.50. The former tasted similar to a pound cake in cupcake-like form, sprinkled on top with fine sugar. The latter was a sweet bun with shredded coconut that tasted sweetened with palm sugar. It had a lovely fragrant coconut flavor and was tasty though a tad too sweet for me. The store itself isn't big, a pretty casual set up with seating for maybe 12-15 at cafe tables. The back counter is where baked goodies are displayed, a fridge on the right contains chilled drinks and full-sized cakes which looked made to order. On the left side of the store are some Filipino grocery items on shelves. Staff was friendly and helped answer a couple questions I had about ingredients, (or asked other staff what they didn't know). If I was in the area I'd come back to try a few other items.
