Storefront - The photo captures the storefront of Rainbow Bakery located at 135-38 Roosevelt Avenue in Queens, NY. The bakery's sign is black with white and red lettering, displaying the name and address. The glass entrance reveals the interior with customers inside. Several pedestrians are walking past the bakery, including a woman in a black jacket and a man with a backpack. The surrounding storefronts include other businesses with signs in Chinese characters and advertisements. The scene is set during daylight hours with a partly cloudy sky.

This is my go to bakery when I'm on Main Street. It is literally just a few stores down from the 7 train stop. Everything is so delicious and cheap! And the service is amazing. They loved loved loved my golden retriever Penelope! My go to is the triangle cake. I mean you can't go wrong for $2. Everything about this place is top tier! Trust me.

We ordered a 6 inch vanilla cake with mixed fruit on top. The cake was nice and light tasting which I really enjoyed. It didn't feel too heavy and the fruit on top and inside the layers was good. The cake was also quite affordable with it only being $23. Rainbow bakery also serves a variety of other baked goods and drinks that I will definitely try next time!

Fruit cake really yummy everybody loved it.

Breads galore! Different types and styles made me drooling. Inside isn't too big, purchase 3 times, when I asked the cashier lady for one extra bag and she said only one bag allowed with one transaction.

Flushings has so many amazing bakeries and this was one of the best in terms of variety, cleaniness & value. They have varieties of pineapple buns: raisin, chocolate, danish as well as the classic. Similar to Iris bakery it also had the awesome Hokkaido cup cake. Inside the glass display there were a stunning array of specialty birthday cakes including characters from Frozen, Pikachu, etc...

Upon further investigation, Rainbow Bakery now has three locations in Flushing. The one I visited was on Roosevelt Avenue, right off Main Street. We were there for a light breakfast while waiting for a shop in New World Mall to open. So many pastries looked great, and we choose an almond danish, red bean bun and slice of carrot cake for a cross section of their eastern and western capabilities, along with hot java to wash it all down. The store was brightly lit and clean, with display cases all around to satisfy your curiosity and temptations. We stood at the standing only shelf at the front window to munch, sip and watch the world go by. The danish was delicious with plenty of thin sliced almonds on top and mildly sweet cheese within. The bun was sticky, sweet and firm with a complete coating of sesame seeds. Also excellent, but a bit to gummy for me. The carrot cake was moist and well textured, but really didn't capture the flavor of carrot while lacking any cream cheese icing. Coffee was strong enough, although generic without roasting profile. We were satisfied to wait out the rain and watch customers come and go with small plastic bags full of their selected goodies. With a little more room for a few cafe tables this place could be a real winner!

Matcha and mango cream puffs. So large and filled with flavored cream with a light icing. So delicious! - The image shows two cream puffs on a wooden table, each resting on a piece of white paper. The cream puff on the left has green icing with white drizzle, while the one on the right has a yellowish glaze with dark chocolate drizzle. Both pastries are displayed without additional packaging or utensils, highlighting their decorative toppings and filling.

After reading the reviews, I decided to try Rainbow Bakery and so happy I did! I got the matcha and mango cream puffs and they were so fresh, big and generously filled with flavored cream. They were only $3.25 and oh so yummy! I had tried the popular Alimamas Teahouse cream puffs the previous day and these were much better at a more reasonable price. You won't be disappointed!

A glass display case at Rainbow Bakery in Queens, NY, contains numerous packaged baked goods such as cream puffs, egg tarts, and other pastries. The baked items are individually wrapped in clear plastic and arranged on white trays. Small labels with prices are visible on the front of the case, and baked goods are stacked on the shelves. The background shows part of the bakery's interior with a sign reading 'Rainbow Bakery' and some baked goods on the top shelf.

Very clean Chinese bakery with lots of variety of baked goods and pastries. We brought Chinese BBQ pork bun and pineapple bun for our mid afternoon snack. The bread was soft and the pork filling was flavorful. Prices were inexpensive, similar to what we paid in Houston. The cashier was very friendly. Located on the main drag of Flushing Chinatown, this popular bakery was crowded.

Portuguese egg custard - A close-up of a Portuguese egg custard tart featuring a flaky, golden-brown crust and a smooth, yellow custard filling. The custard has a caramelized, slightly burnt surface with darker spots, indicating a baked finish. The tart is held in a small, round aluminum foil container, with a person's hand visible at the top of the image. The background shows a wooden surface.

This location just opened recently and I was very impressed with the wide selection of breads and desserts. First time trying anything here so I bought a tuna bun and a Portuguese custard tart. Although both were quite good and very fresh, the Portuguese custard for me was too eggy and buttery. I prefer the ones sold across the street. They also had this passion fruit cake that caught my eye and hope to try it next time.

Multiple baked items, including a donut with a dusting of powdered sugar and other pastries, are visible inside a transparent plastic bag. The items are arranged closely together, with some showing toppings or fillings. The image suggests these are ready for purchase or takeaway from a bakery or similar establishment.

Portuguese tarts are fantastic. Crust is buttery and flaky. Custard is creamy and not too sweet. $2 each.

We've ordered several cakes over the years for coworkers' birthdays, and each one has been beautifully made as well as absolutely delicious. One cake that truly stands out is The Crunchy. It's a perfect balance of flavors and textures, made with layers of vanilla sponge cake, rich chocolate mousse, dark chocolate, and caramelized hazelnuts. The fact that it's available in both individual and family sizes makes it even better for any occasion. I loved it so much that I personally ordered the Crunchy cake for my husband's birthday, and it was a huge hit. Beyond cakes, I've also ordered macarons, cupcakes, Oreo pops, cookies and pastries, and a variety of other desserts on different occasions. Everything has been consistently fresh, mouth watering delicious, and beautifully presented. The French Workshop never fails to impress, whether it's for a small personal celebration or a larger group. It's a bakery I confidently recommend for anyone looking for high-quality desserts with amazing taste.

Unfortunately I don't remember the names well but the first one was a peanut butter croissant and the second was a cold brew doughnut type of dessert. The peanut butter one didn't have peanut butter anywhere expect for the dollop that fell to the side. It itself was just a croissant with dark chocolate up top which was a little boring for me and the cold brew doughnut not only didn't taste like coffee at all but had barely any filling. That being said, I did give them 4 starts because I know they have a lot of great desserts. I would recommend getting the Tiramisu or the Crème brûlée if you are ever here. The coffee is always super consistent and great as well and service is great too! They always try to help those on line as soon as possible and make your drinks in a timely manner! This cute little dessert and coffee shop is definitely a great place to try different desserts and chat with some friends!

It's absolutely amazing, and the filling is very generous--it feels like heaven in every bite. Another favorite of mine is the chocolate layer cake: rich, velvety smooth chocolate that isn't overly sweet. The only thing I don't agree with is that they do not clearly tell customers that dining in adds an extra $1 charge to each item. Yes, check your receipt. I'm expected to tip my waitstaff and also pay an extra dollar per item just because I chose to dine in. For example, the cupcake is usually $4.75 to go, but they charged me an extra $1 for dining in. Their cake slices are usually $9.50 to go, but I was charged $10.50. I also tipped 20%, so the added charge felt frustrating, especially since there was no clear notice. When I asked the waitstaff about the $1 charge, she said it was entered that way because I dined in. When I later called about it, the manager simply said, "Next time, just order to go if you don't want to be charged extra." That response was disappointing, especially since there was no visible sign explaining this policy, and their dine-in menu does not show separate pricing. I really think management should fix this to avoid misleading customers. Transparency matters. Don't get me wrong--I would still come back because their cakes are amazing, but from now on, I'll always order everything to go.

Over the years, I have tried many of their desserts since it's one of the only decent dessert options around the area. However, it would not be my first choice if I had others. With that said, my whole family and many of my friends all agree that their best item is the Berry Napoleon. That is the one cake that I do enjoy from this shop. We often buy a whole cake for a group gathering or birthdays. As for dining in, there's always a lot of people inside the store and it gets a bit loud. Not my favorite place to relax and chat with my friends. That's why I only buy takeout when I do get the Berry Napoleon. I think I do prefer the Astoria original location more.
