The host is very friendly and welcoming. The service is very attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the food they are serving. The food was very flavorful. The smoked brisket fell apart so nicely, it was juicy. The North Carolina pulled pork was succulent. They have one of the best collard greens I have ever had and their coleslaw was very nice. My lunch guest said the salmon was done to perfection and so was the green beans. I would highly recommend coming by for some smoked bbq, it is worth the trip. Don't forget to say hello to the host Juan and ask for Dave as your server.

Excellent BBQ is offered here. SO and I stopped in for lunch and shared a 3 meat plate...pulled pork, chicken and burnt ends (which was a slight upcharge, but worth it). The plate comes with a choice of 2 sides. The burnt ends and chicken were phenomenal!

We came during the night of lights. And this was the only empty restaurant. We got seated right away, got our orders right away and the food was really good. I will definitely come back!

Wings, boom boom shrimp, fries

I was quite underwhelmed with this BBQ experience. The place was fairly empty at 7pm on a Saturday night. Our server was very kind and the food came out very quick. The boom boom shrimp was great and slightly heavy on the sauce. I was very excited about the corn, but unfortunately they ran out before we ordered. None of our entrees were hot, and someone in our party actually had to send the ribs back to the kitchen because it was a little too cold. The chicken was flavorful and the Texas toast was great, but very salty. I don't eat brisket but people in our party said their brisket was too chewy and dry. Overall I was disappointed in the quality of the food, but perhaps it was just a bad night.

Pretty sure this is now my parent's favorite restaurant. Everything we had was tasty from the ribs to the brisket to the pulled pork. Sides were great as well. Mac and cheese was top tier, collards were juicy and flavorful and French fries were hot and fresh. Onion rings were yummy. The coleslaw was a bit generic and under seasoned, but everything else was delish. Great service. Also really love the unique artwork throughout the restaurant. Will be back!

Burnt Ends

We were looking for some food. Placed an order to go for burnt ends. We walked back to the car and everyone asked to taste one . So I shared we all went back and order 2 more orders. We will return for kitty. They were very delicious and service was really quick. The host was so nice. He remembered me when I came back . The place looked nice and relaxing

New Brunswick Stew with jalapeño corn bread and a side of Mac & cheese.

We can't come to St. Augustine without eating here. Completely obsessed with the Brunswick Stew - so much so - that we ask to purchase a quart to take home every time. I love their wings! Chicken wings smoked then flash fried, so it keeps all the juices inside and crispy outside. Tonight (12/30/25) our server "Melanie" was AMAZING!! Attentive, friendly, on top of everything even though it was very busy. Cannot recommend this place enough.

The meats were very delicious. The Mac & cheese needed a bit more flavor but everything else was really good. There was in and out door seating so you have an option but the service was okay.

Ribs & brisket platter

Had dinner here during a trip at the busiest time of year, Christmas. The place was on an hour wait. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The food and service were excellent. We had several appetizers and entrees. The onion rings and fried pickles are delicious. For dinner we had ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. I highly recommend all three. The side coleslaw and Texas toast were good. We were too full for desert. Difficult to park as this is a walkable town.

To be honest I would give this place a 3 star, but my husband said the ribs were really good and the service was very nice. Pros: Burnt ends are great, nice sauce selection, onion rings very good, macaroni was good, cool selection of food Cons: brisket super, super dry, really fatty, gristly cut of meat. Could not chew through it. Never experienced that with brisket. Baked was very interesting too.

Pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese $16

Mojo Old City BBQ was the top rated spot in St Augustine, so we wanted to give it a try. I love that the patio is dog friendly, they sat us outside quickly but we waited a good time to be served afterwards. I do appreciate that their space heaters were working, it seems like most places that have them don't have any propane in them. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich for $16, and wanted fries as a side dish but they were out. I'm really surprised that a restaurant this big is out of such a standard side. Since our first option wasn't a go, we went with what the server recommended, the Mac and cheese. The pork was super dry, but I liked that they had a variety of sauces to top it with. Mac and cheese was pretty basic, so I was a little disappointed. Service was pretty slow, but I feel like they were short staffed for how big the inside dinning was. Overall, we weren't impressed with our first visit. I appreciate the friendly dog patio and the food coming out quickly.

Fantastic casual BBQ spot. Be prepared to wait. Not quite as long as they say, but you will wait. The food is great, I had combo ribs and brisket. We also had coleslaw, beans, onion rings, and fried pickles. We will definitely be back. Photos attached! Thank you!

One of the coolest touches? A TV disguised as a piece of art that's actually a live stream of downtown St. Augustine. Such a fun, unique detail! Now let's talk food I ordered the shrimp and grits tacos, and WOW--they were packed with flavor. The grits added this unexpected crunch that worked so well with the shrimp. The textures blended perfectly and made every bite interesting. My husband went for the Miyagi beef tacos... and let's just say there were zero leftovers. He cleaned his plate, which says everything. Great vibes, creative food, and a memorable experience all around. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

The menu is where things get especially interesting--unique, playful, and definitely not your standard fare. I tried the chicken apple pie sandwich, which was as unexpected as it sounds. It was fun, different, and surprisingly good! It is one of those dishes you won't find just anywhere. Husband loved his upscale bologna sandwich and the waffle fries were yummy! Therefore, this gets a long wait for breakfast/brunch. It's hard to get a parking spot but there's free parking across the street. They have a big waiting area next to the restaurant which is definitely needed as we ended up waiting like 45 minutes around 9:30 am on a Saturday. The food was definitely worth the wait though. I got the burrito smothered with sauce and cheese and the flavor was fantastic. Flavorful but not super spicy or anything. It's also HUGE. Highly recommend. Service is a little questionable, if it was quicker they could probably help with their long wait. It was hard to flag down our girl when we needed something & it took ages to get to check.

The service showed a real lack of knowledge and attentiveness. When I ordered whole milk for my coffee, the response was essentially "is half and half okay?" -- no, it is absolutely not okay. These are completely different in taste and calories, and it's not a reasonable substitute to casually suggest. What made it worse: oat milk, almond milk, and whole milk were all visibly sitting in the fridge right there from where I was seated at the bar. Zero effort to offer what was clearly available. The atmosphere didn't help either. The space feels like someone started building a café concept and never finished thinking it through. It's uninviting, disorganized, and oddly off -- not warm, not designed with the customer in mind. Nothing about the food, the presentation, or the space gives you a reason to choose this place over anywhere else. Not particularly tasty, not nicely decorated, not a vibe. Not sure what keeps people coming back, honestly.

Catch 27 - St. Augustine, FL…read more Came to St. Augustine with a group and Catch 27 was suggested for dinner. Great choice. I checked the Yelp reviews ahead of time and it definitely lived up to them. People in our group started with drinks and everyone at the table seemed happy with what they ordered. I had the red wine braised beef brisket for my main and it was excellent, very tender and full of flavor. My friend Damon next to me had the red snapper and I tried some of that too. Also very good. Someone else at the table had the Rockefeller crusted snapper and that looked and tasted great as well. For appetizers, I had the shaved pear and blue cheese salad. It was really good and honestly enough for two people to share as an appetizer. People at the table also ordered the Devils on Horseback and liked them. I do not eat bacon, but they were happy with that dish. The deviled eggs with southern fried oysters looked really good, and I had the smoked salmon spread, which was very good too. I also saw the shrimp and grits come out for someone else and that dish looked excellent. For dessert, I had the sticky toffee pudding and it was a strong finish to the meal. Others at the table ordered the seasonal crème brûlée, which was chocolate that night. It looked great and everyone who had it said it was very good.
