I LOVE the texture of a mochi donut. The chewiness and bite of the donut makes me happy. This place offers a variety of delicious flavors. Everyone in my family likes a different one. My favorites are black sesame and the fruity pebbles. FYI Mochill is located in the food court of Mitsuwa market.

Who knew you could find really good mochi donuts inside a food court? When you first walk into Mitsuwa's food court, Mochill is the first place you'll see. They have a variety of mochi donut flavors ranging from $3- 3.60 a piece or you can get 6 for $18. Their Mango and Strawberry mochi donuts were both very good. They had the perfect texture combination of crispy and chewy. The only thing that needs improvement is their packaging. The donuts were so fresh and sticky that they kept sticking to the paper bag. If you're a coffee person, they serve Honolulu Coffee Company coffee which is awesome. They also have matcha drinks and I got their Iced Mango Matcha ($6.75). You can taste the mango and it was the right amount of sweetness. Definitely stop by if you're in the mood for something sweet.

You can find Mochill Donuts inside the Mitsuwa Marketplace. These mochi donuts are so delicious. They have specials for 6 for $18 and 12 for $36. We even got to sample the black sesame. A good variety of flavors but my favorite was the cookies and cream! Baby sister loved the matcha flavor which is definitely not as sweet. I saw a lot of people ordering the drinks so I think I may try one of those in the future.

I came to get the mochi donut and a drink combo for $12. I bought three plain mochi donut for my son and the new matcha Oreo latte. Service was fine and I enjoyed my drink and my son enjoyed the plain mochi.

Not the best presentation in a box because the six donuts had a bit of a tight squeeze so the typical round shape was deformed... but flavor is decent. If you are bringing it as a food gift to a party, may want to rearrange the donuts a bit because my box was quite messy when I first opened it.

This mochi donut stand is part of the mini food court in the Mitsuwa Store in Irvine (I call it "Little Mitsuwa"). They sell 18 flavors of mochi donuts as well as some coffee drinks and soft serve. I've noticed this place on my frequent trips to shop in Mitsuwa over the past couple years and on this particular day decided to give them a try. I ordered an iced Hawaiian Latte plus two mochi donuts. I've not been much of a fan of mochi donuts in the past so stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered two with more than just a flavored glaze: a cinnamon crunch and also a fruity pebbles. Both of the cereal-topped mochi donuts were okay. The crunchy toppings provided nice texture with the fruity pebbles adding more flavor than the rather bland cinnamon crunch. The donuts themselves were dense, slightly chewy, and overall pretty good. I still prefer a normal doughnut. The iced latte was made with coffee from the Honolulu Coffee Company which had excellent flavor. It was mixed with coconut milk. The nice woman I ordered it from told me something about macadamia nut too but if there was any macadamia flavoring in the latte I couldn't detect it. Regardless, it was quite tasty.

Another great experience here on a Saturday afternoon. Service is wonderful and the Hawaiian latte is just so good. Also tried their glazed mochi donut and it was very tasty. Til next time!

Ube - tasty ube - mochi donut has good consistency Strawberry Crunch - really tasty strawberry crunch Fruity pebble - very sweet - fruity pebbles have a really good crunch Banana cronut - cronut is like a deep fried croissant - not very sweet Custard Mochi Sada - tasty crunchy fruity pebbles - lots of tasty custard - the mochi texture is interesting, but I'd rather have a warm soft malasada

Tried this at the Taste of Japan event a few weeks ago when they had a booth. Probably one of the only and best looking dessert booths at the event! We got the banana salted caramel crepe on the way out for the 1 hr drive home but that was a mistake. It was incredibly hot out and it was melting in SECONDS. I had whipped cream and it's not very "eater friendly" lol. It's wrapped in a very tight paper cone thing and you can't really unwrap it in a good way because then the whole thing just falls apart. The bottom was already soggy from whatever cream seeped through. We basically just had to gobble it up in the messiest way possible. The Mochi was towards the bottom but it was very good. Loved every bit of it but boy would I much rather have a plate lol. Other than that, it was delicious and would definitely come back to try their other items. IG: @ammysalamii

Located inside Mitsuwa Marketplace Store. When you enter walk straight down to the back wall. You will see this little Mochill setup and sign. The staff were friendly and they had a variety of 15 types of mochi donuts which made it so hard for me to choose! I ended up with a dozen box of assorted donuts. Absolutely loved the black sesame and salted caramel flavors. The best! Kids loved the Oreo Cookie and Cinnamon sugar flavors. They are placed in cute boxes that would make a cute gift to friends, teachers, etc.

Customer service was the not the best here. Our bad for trying something new. The matcha we got tasted not that great - "dirt like". Told that is what black sesame tastes like and it was made as ordered. Totally get prices these days but no real options offered. Not coming back.

these mochi donuts have great texture! the sesame one is my favorite but the frosting is just a bit too sweet for me service is fast, i never have any issues when I order from here! this spot is inside the mitsuwa food court. it can be crowded during peak times with no tables. usually i just do take out and eat it outside or at home :)

There seems to always be a line here so be aware! We got there after lunch around 1pm and the line was about 10-15minutes reaching two doors down. They explicitly have a caution line on the sidewalk telling people NOT to block next door businesses doorways! The menu is straightforward and seems to update since we came before. The HOT item that always sells out daily is the sea salt bread. They will sell out within a few hours of opening so its only a morning item! Also note this place is cashless so card only! Our favorite items here are the: Banana Matcha: This is there matcha latte with oat milk and banana cream on top with fresh sliced bananas and toffee bits. Yes definitely get it less sweet for the perfect ratio! Its like a banana toffee flavor with that rich matcha on the bottom so good in this summer heat! Black Sesame match: this is my usual go to since its a more light drink with there signature matcha latte topped with black sesame cream. Its very light for someone just looking for a easy to drink light matcha but don't want a plain drink. Matcha Two: Matcha latte with salted matcha cream and vanilla syrup. This i would say is there signature matcha drink if you are a first timer and want to try there matcha without all the other flavors. Its got a good balanced matcha blended with the hint on vanilla sweetness. The servers are super friendly and helpful here since they make every cup of matcha by hand so there's a long table of workers hand mixing matcha but the line moves fairly quickly. You order directly at the bar so you can ask questions or customize if you wish. I usually get less sweet, less ice or even no ice. They personally hand you every order by name which is a great touch. Overall, a great local matcha shop they we will definitely be back again to try other items especially that salted bread that always sells out!

The hospitality here is evident the moment you walk in. Staff were ready to take our order, answer questions and even checked to see if our drinks were to our liking. Think fashionable design meets European charm for the interior atmosphere, right down to the plates. Morning Lavender offers table seating as well as booths and can accommodate large parties for events. Now for the good stuff- let's talk an Iced Mocha with extra chocolate and an Iced Chai Tea Latte with Banana Cream Foam. The Mocha with extra chocolate was indulgent and velvety with the espresso seamlessly intertwined. A decadent treat to enjoy as the morning started to warm up into the afternoon. Just a suggestion for those who enjoy the richer side of coffee and espresso. A dash of a bit more cream would've added that refined richness. The star of the morning was definitely the Iced Chia Tea Latte with Banana Cream Foam. The description of cold cream hardly captures and embodies what this Banana Cold Foam really is. Think lusciously thick banana smoothie topping off your drink. Impossibly creamy and bursting with ripe banana. Crowning the drink sat a slice of banana bathed on one side in a caramelized sauce similar to crème brûlée. Crunchy peanuts generously scattered on top, making an irresistible contrast in texture. This drink was truly an exceptional culinary experience. I will be back again and again for the Banana Cold Foam.

Overall, we had an enjoyable afternoon, as the overall aesthetic is delightful and having the boutique connected adds such a fun element to the visit. We really enjoyed browsing the selection of clothes, candles, jewelry, and painting books. As for the tea and food, the warm scones and tea were lovely highlights, the smoked salmon sandwich was exceptionally yummy, and the rose macaron stood out with its fragrant flavor. However, there were a few areas where the experience fell short of expectations. While the smoked salmon was great, the chicken sandwich was difficult to chew due to too many nerves and the mini donuts felt a bit stale. We also noticed a few maintenance issues, including a visibly dirty/stained booth seat and a teacup given to one of our guests that was broken on the bottom. Service was another area that could use some improvement. For a party of six, the staff felt somewhat inattentive, leaving several people at our table waiting for long periods to get hot water refills. This unfortunately hindered the amount of tea we were able to enjoy during our visit. Morning Lavender has wonderful potential with its beautiful environment and delicious flavors, but with a bit more proactive service and attention to detail, the experience could be truly exceptional.
