We were always suspicious of the roadside joints along Route 6, but a friend recommended Moby's, so we gave it a try. What a great place! We had lunch there twice. The service was super friendly, and the owner made the rounds, delivering food to tables and chatting with diners. The fried shrimp and scallops were done perfectly, with a very light coating that did not distract from the fresh natural flavors. The broiled cod sandwich was also excellent. The prices are very reasonable, and best of all, you can BYOB, which makes for a great time without busting the budget. read more

Great place to get lobsters and steamers. The grilled scallops are also seasoned and grilled perfectly. There is usually a line but it moves pretty fast. And it's BYOB and if you have drinks that need chilling they get you an ice bucket. I think the thing that makes this a great place to eat are the owners, they are always there walking around and making sure you are happy with your meal. Byob and great food for a great price. My family and I go to Wellfleet every year for a week and stop here at least once per visit. It's first come first serve and you order at a counter. Food has never taken long and is always hot. You bring your own adult beverages which is clearly fantastic because you get exactly what you want/bring and really save on the tab because of it. I almost always order from the specials board. This time I shared some appetizers; went with the muscles, steamers, and oysters before rounding off the meal for myself with the tuna steak sandwich. All was excellent. We also were accommodated very quickly regardless to our large party of 20 people. The staff were very attentive for all of our needs. I don't think everyone tips because it's not regular table side service but they deserve it, at least some. read more

The food here is amazing!!! We got fried clams, lobster rolls, and a crab sandwich and it was all amazing. Only problem is their service is very slow. They seemed to be training new people so this may be why. But we got take out it took about 20 minutes. Totally worth the food though!!! read more

If you are visiting the Cape this restaurant is a must. The lobster and steamers are fresh and fantastic. My family enjoyed it so much we went back the next evening. The salads and corn on the cob tasted farm fresh. The blooming onion was the best we've had. The fried clams and fried fish were yummy and not greasy. The appetizer oysters with pesto were amazing. The people working they're were exceptionally friendly and the restaurant was very clean..even the restrooms. The owner is very gracious and works alongside his employees. read more

The restaurant set-up is schizophrenic in concept and execution. The restaurant is a mix of a sit down and self service without a clear balance. While the server was present she was not attentive and never refilled our water. If you are not interested in seafood, I would not encourage you to visit this place as they do not have a good selection of chicken options. Not sure how this place gets five stars by everyone. I had the Caesar salad with one crabcake for $20. I think that's it's a bit pricey for Caesar salad with one crabcake with paper bowls, plastic cutlery and where one has to wait in line and order at the counter. My friend had lobster roll which she said was bland. . This was my favorite stop in Wellfleet! This place is a tightly run ship! We were greeted with menus at the end of the line outside and told to order at counter indoors. Then got to chose between fun screened in upstairs or nautical dining room. Everyone was clear and helpful and kind! Food came fast and was awesome - chowder was the real deal and salmon sandwich was delicious. Expensive options if you're in the market but plenty of affordable ones too. There was a huge line when we left but I think it's worth the wait. A true Cape Cod experience you won't regret! read more

Very efficient considering the number of patrons We waited maybe 30 minutes but the lobster was well worth it. $29 for a 1-1/2 lb, but we went for the 2 lb at $33. This place was just okay. I really hated the ridiculous way that they seat you/take your order, although not having to tip sweetened the deal a tiny bit. A little pricey but it was a great meal. Always gone there in the off season ( October) right before they close. Shrimp Tacos were very good as was the calm roll. Very courteous staff. One of the best seafood restaurants on the cape! I would suggest starting off with the Outer Cape Onion - it's delicious. The broiled cod was cooked to perfection and the crab cakes were amazing. It was old, over cooked, over-priced, and tasted bad!..almost ruined me for lobster, but the very next night, ate at a different restaurant, and the lobster was fresh and properly cooked -- Yum! We have been here many times and have always loved it. But today the service was beyond outstanding. My 87 year old father ordered broiled scallops. When they were delivered to our table, the server said his boss saw the plate and said there were not enough scallops. ANOTHER serving was soon delivered to our table!
