If you're looking for an authentic Cape Cod experience, Sesuit Harbor Café in Dennis is it. We recently stopped in for lunch and left absolutely no survivors -- hence the "aftermath" photos, because we dug in before we thought to take a picture. No regrets. The menu is anchored by the classics -- lobster rolls, oysters, and a whole host of other fresh options -- but there's plenty for non-seafood eaters and kids too, so it works for everyone. Service was racist!!! If you are not white, do not go!!! I spent $200 with 7 cheap plastic cups for drinks. I did not use 3 of them. Clean not used!! I wanted to be a responsible citizen to decease plastic consumption, asked for refund of the 3 F@$! Plastic cups... a lineman-Youngish, WHITE male said back "that is a way to go out of business." I said back that I gave you more than enough service (witha tip more than the 3 freaking plastic cups). I gave $20 for the beer money to the kitchen in that white bucket also!!! My sister and I waited ~45 minutes to order. Luckily the weather wasn't too hot so it was tolerable. Even though the seating area was packed we didn't have any issues finding a table. Our food came out within 10 minutes after placing our order. I do like that this place is byob. Location is definitely a vibe. Love that the tables are next to the water. I got fried oysters, which were not chewy/rubbery and cooked well. Could use more seasoning as the flavor was a bit lacking. We got here and it was peak (hot and lunch time) we waited about an hour in line. People in front of kept saying that there might now be any lobster rolls left so we were a little scared. Come right before lunch (I recall it was 11am?) and just wait until they switch to the lunch menu. We got served pretty quick through this method. Outdoor seating only! This is a top notch, seafood restaurant. There is plenty of parking, outdoor ,and the restaurant is right by the water. There were long lines waiting to get in, but the lines moved quickly. I ordered a whole lobster, and it was excellent. They also provided a cracker without needing to pay an extra deposit. Season opening day at Sesuit Harbor Café in Dennis, overlooking the north side marina. We enjoyed our first lobster rolls of the season, and everything tasted fresh. The lobster salad portion wasn't as generous as in years past, but it was delicious. The coleslaw and fries that accompany the lobster were great, too. When we looked at this restaurant online, it indicated it was closed. We drove there anyway to see the area and thankfully, the cafe was open. We had lobster rolls and clam chowder. The lobster rolls were stuffed to overflowing with lobster! However good we thought the lobster rolls were, the clam chowder topped it all!! This place has always been a favorite for my family. While it can get crowded and both lines and parking can be challenging, the wait is worth it! The lobster roll is expensive but known as the best for a reason. The service tends to be relatively quick after your order is placed as well. I never make my way through all of the fries they're always hot and fresh though, the coleslaw is also definitely worth eating. Came here on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend around lunchtime. Very long line, but worth the wait for this cash only establishment. It took about 20 minutes to put in our food order and it came out shortly thereafter. We also went to the raw bar to order soups which they poured for us right there. The clam chowder was scalding hot, but delicious. The lobster bisque was too thin with no bits of lobster in it so we'll pass on it in the future. We sat outside at the picnic tables and our food came out within 10 minutes of putting our order in it at the counter. Not much to say other than it's delicious fried seafood! We recently went back to the Sesuit Harbor Cafe. It was a good time to visit - before the peak of the summer. The parking lot was still full of boats not yet back in the water, We have fried scallops and their wonderful lobster roll. Perhaps one of the best lobster rolls on the cape. The onion rings are also great. It's not super cheap, but decent value given the very high quality of the seafood. It is always nice sitting near the harbor. During the summer peak, lines can be quite long too. This and Kate's are my favorite places for fresh seafood rolls and fried seafood. read more

Sesuit Harbor Cafe was the second stop on our seafood tour of the area, after Arnold's. Sesuit is right on a marina, and you need to drive past the marina parking to get to the cafe. Once you park, you'll get in line for the ordering counter, place your order and pay, get your order number, grab condiments and cutlery and napkins, and then sit down at any open table outside. It seems to be all outdoor seating from what I could tell. Then you just sit and wait until you hear your number. Staff come out with trays to the seating area and yell numbers out. They do not have mics or anything so if you're not paying attention or are around loud people you might miss it, so pay attention! This place is cash only! There is an atm near the ordering counter. We got the 1.25lb whole boiled lobster, which comes with butter, cole slaw, and fries, as well as the whole belly clam fried platter, which also comes with cole slaw and fries. It came out in 10-15 minutes which is not bad for how busy they were. They bring out wet wipes, a bib, scoopy things, and a metal lobster cracker (you return this right at the cash register after you're done). The lobster was super fresh, and also good dunked in butter. Takes a bit more work than a lobster roll but probably has more meat for the same price. The claws were awesome. The fries are a huge portion, although a third of them got soggy under the lobster. The cole slaw is pretty average. The fried clam was tasty, although is under quite a bit of breading and you honestly don't really taste the clam. The tartar sauce is great, though, and you'll want to dip your fries in this. This is a really solid seafood stop in the area, don't miss it. read more

Super tasty and decent portion of lobster. The clams were fine and the scallops were great. Onions rings are always good! Chicken tenders were good too. When we ordered the cashier was super friendly and helpful. After asking the kitchen for us, she suggested getting a large plate but splitting half clams half scallops instead of two halves. This was a great idea! The parking was full but the attendants let us park with the boats. There seemed to be an event breaking down but still plenty of seating. Great food, but come prepared! This place is a staple in North Dennis, which means it can get very crowded in the summer. It's also beautiful - on the corner between Cold Storage Beach so you can watch the boats come in and out of the marina. And while you're waiting, you can walk in the beach. How to have a good time: Come early and have a team - someone orders hot food, someone grabs a table, and someone orders from the raw bar (which is around the corner and usually has a much shorter line). My wife was dreaming - graving for lobster roll and this little shack house hidden in a local harbor did the job! Okay it was expensive $37 per roll and the roll is not a roll but a piece of toasted brioche white bread. But it was a generous portion and delicious. The service is super friendly young and dynamic. The harbor makes it romantic. I ordered some oysters and hot sampler that were also very well executed. We just had a fantastic time. SHC only takes cash so be prepared.
