Unpopular opinion: not worth it. Although we were prepared for a very long wait, and we settled in and met our neighbors and had a great time exchanging stories, after the approximate 45 minute wait in line just to order, I was met with a rather curt not at all pleasant order-taker. After all that time, you would think that the face of the business would be gracious for spending your time and money here when there are hundreds and hundreds of choices on the Cape. I'm truly genuinely curious if this is a reflection of the ownership or if they don't receive feedback about how the experience goes over. I get it. The service industry is thankless however, a little politeness and cheer goes a long way. Further, being told in a rather abrupt manner that there are no substitutions allowed is one way to convey the message, but not the only way. in the end, after another wait (maybe 15 mins more) at our table for the food to arrive, I was fairly disappointed with my lobster roll. The lobster meat did not even make it to the edge of the bun. I received coleslaw, which I was not interested in having (as you recall, "no substitutions allowed"). In fact, when I got home a couple hours later, I was hungry again. My suggestion, skip the long wait, the cash only option, and the not as picturesque or as delicious as I expected option, and try one of many the many other establishments in the area. Service was racist!!! If you are not white, do not go!!! I spent $200 with 7 cheap plastic cups for drinks. I did not use 3 of them. Clean not used!! I wanted to be a responsible citizen to decease plastic consumption, asked for refund of the 3 F@$! Plastic cups... a lineman-Youngish, WHITE male said back "that is a way to go out of business." I continue to love Sesuit Harbor. Whenever friends are visiting the cape in the summer, this is always on my list of recommendations. The food is fresh and the overall vibe is unbeatable. The lobster roll is my #1 on cape as the portions and flavor are always the best. Stop by the raw bar to grab some shrimp or quahog while you wait for the rest of your food to arrive. Come right before lunch (I recall it was 11am?) and just wait until they switch to the lunch menu. We got served pretty quick through this method. Outdoor seating only! I would highly recommend this. - Mahi Sandwich - $23.36 - This wasn't bad but nothing special. Was hoping for more flavor from the fish. I would give this a pass. - Onion Rings - $9.35 - I'm a sucker for onion rings and these were delicious. Great batter and well seasoned. Season opening day at Sesuit Harbor Café in Dennis, overlooking the north side marina. We enjoyed our first lobster rolls of the season, and everything tasted fresh. Tasty seafood. Nice harbor ambience. It's expensive though and cash only which is seriously so annoying. Just add three percent to credit cards if the money is so tight on the restaurant end. Female staff seemed really stressed by the idiotic system of searching to find people for their orders. Male staff run the parking lot and garbage removal. It literally runs down those lines. When we looked at this restaurant online, it indicated it was closed. We drove there anyway to see the area and thankfully, the cafe was open. We had lobster rolls and clam chowder. The lobster rolls were stuffed to overflowing with lobster! However good we thought the lobster rolls were, the clam chowder topped it all!! It was seasoned perfectly and piping hot - great for a cool day in May. You sit outside on picnic tables among all the dry dock boats which was a fun setting. WARNING: HIDDEN SIGNS AND SNEAKY CUSTOMER SERVICE. Watch your food closely because the seagulls here will steal it the second you look away. The real problem isn't the birds--it's how the restaurant treats you when it happens. There are ZERO warnings on the tables telling you to protect your food or not to leave it unattended. When a bird grabbed my meal while I went to get paper towels, the staff refused to help. A young worker literally pulled out a hidden warning sign from behind the counter, pointed at it, and demanded $50 to replace the stolen food. Right after it happened to me, I watched it happen to another customer. The cafe knows this is a constant issue, but instead of putting big, clear signs on the tables to protect their guests, they keep the warnings hidden so they can charge you double. It took about 20 minutes to put in our food order and it came out shortly thereafter. We also went to the raw bar to order soups which they poured for us right there. The clam chowder was scalding hot, but delicious. The lobster bisque was too thin with no bits of lobster in it so we'll pass on it in the future.
