Clam chowder, lemonade, chicken Caesar wrap with fries

Baxter's is so awesome. We were cruising around in my cousin's boat until it was time to eat and we pulled into Baxter's (via boat) to their Dock & Dine spots which is exactly what it sounds like-- you arrive by boat, dock it right outside, and a waiter will come over and take your order and you eat your food in your boat on the very calming waters with stunning views. Brilliant concept. The clam chowder - a must order. Perfect amount of cream, clams, and potatoes in that thing. Delicious. Chicken Caesar wrap - also a must order. This was the perfect meal that is light yet so filling. The fries are nice and crunchy too. With my favorite to top it off - a lemonade and stunning views looking out in the distance on a parked boat and summer vibes all around. Life is oh so good. Our waiter was so nice and there were about 8 of us and the food came out so fast! Incredible stuff.

This restaurant is on water front with a view of the bay with boats can dock and have a meal, there are inside and outside seating. We ordered 1.5lbs Steamers, good clams that was clean of sand, and Fried Seafood Plate, fish, shrimp, scallops, belly clams, everything fried good just belly clams over cooked made it chewy. Service was good.

Had the most amazing chowders here today. We had the New England clam chowder and the seafood chowder. A bit of seafood in every spoon of both types. Great service with a harbor view. We got the skewers on the appetizer menu and the fish and chips. Both delicious. Tender shrimp and flaky fish.

Nice cozy place. Has outdoor seating overlooking harbor. Unfortunately really didn't meet expectations. Seafood plate was pricey at $41 and it was served on a paper plate. As our individual plates were paper plates - as if eating at a fast food take out place. We had beer and wine $70 price tag was ridiculous. Won't be coming back. Server was very nice and attentive. I think the 3 stars is generous - mainly because staff was pleasant.

    Whole belly clam plate .

I had to drive to town to drop someone off at the ferry port next door , so it was so convenient to stop there for a quick lunch . I wanted whole belly clams , I ordered the deep fried whole belly plate . ( $36 ) The Clams were good , probably got 12 to 16 clams . The fries were ok, the one thing that always bothers me is they give you like 1 or 2 oz of coleslaw. Like it's so expensive. So for $36 you're paying $2 a clam , $10 for fries , and the coleslaw isn't worth $2 . But the location and atmosphere is what makes it worth it .

I make time to eat here every time I'm visiting Hyannis. I generally sit on the casual side. Service is always attentive and fast. They always have a lot of staff. The foods never disappoint and the view of the boats going in and out of the harbor is always relaxing. I have tried various dishes here and they are always delicious. It's tend to be very busy in August so parking can be a challenge. We have also been here in June when there were plenty of parking and no wait at the restaurant.

Awesome vibe to this little restaurant right on the water! The bar are is awesome! You can enjoy your dinner or a drink with 180 degrees views of the harbor! The nautical theme is really cool and not outdated. The best sea food bisque I've ever had in my life! I believe there was lobster, clams and scallops in it, it was to die for. Lobster roll is top notch as well and the food came out faster than the drive through at McDonalds. I could not believe how good everything was and how fast it came out! Definitely a great spot to grab a beer and some food with friends or have a romantic night out with the spouse or a date. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Great drink selection of local craft drinks as well!

Concerning how a bull doesn't add up correctly. This place is money hungry. Just because you attract more of a higher clientele that seafood Sam's doesn't give you the right to falsely sub total a receipt! That is illegal and the cash vs card prices is too. The manager Josh states it's because everyone else on the cape is doing it " so it's okay to do it". Disgusting!

Opening day. We were able to secure picnic table on deck, on this unsual 80 degree, no wind. Tried many different cocktails, beer, wine. Lobster roll. Hamburger, clam chowder, quayhog, seafood bisque were ok. But the view and waitstaff excellent

Good food great staff, if you don't try it you're an idiot. Sit at the bar and get hammered while eating fresh seafood.

I was not a fan of the food at all. I think folks go for the view and cool if your on a boat to drive right up to it and order.

This year we came back because of how outstanding last year was. I ordered the chili again, even though I knew it meant I probably wouldn't eat my whole meal. My friend ordered the fish and chips and upgraded to truffle fries. She said it was probably the best fish and chips she's had. Now... for my meal... I am not exaggerating... BEST meal I have EVER had. Ever. I had the cod. Baked. With pesto, and sun-dried tomatoes. Served with roasted potatoes and spinach. So flaky. So tender. Perfectly cooked. The flavor was something straight from heaven. Breaks my heart I'm not local. I'd eat this weekly. All of the staff is always so friendly. A gentleman also checked in... not sure if he's a manager or owner. This is a top notch place. I'll definitely be back.

The TV screens are perfectly placed, the bartenders are friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The pizza was excellent -- flavorful, hot, and done just right. We also tried the meatloaf, and it genuinely reminded us of our grandmother's from years ago -- comforting, hearty, and full of flavor. That's not something you find everywhere. Even in the middle of winter, the place had a warm, lively vibe. We ended up having a great conversation with someone we later found out was the owner -- just chatting about everyday life. That kind of genuine hospitality says a lot. Good food, great service, and an easygoing atmosphere. Thanks for a great experience -- we'll definitely be back!

My first glass of vinho verde wine was served at room temperature (the second was fine), and the side plate I was given was crusted with dried food residue. I also watched an employee behind the bar wipe her nose with her hand and then continue slicing citrus barehanded. The chicken empanadas were good but not particularly special. We also had one of the small pizzas, which was the best thing of the night, crispy and flavorful (with a little char at the edges, which we like). The decor is a little bananas (different shades of green between the walls, the napkins, the barstools, and the banquettes; five kinds of lighting fixtures; lots of sound and lighting items with exposed, hasty-looking wiring). The bathroom door doesn't really close and lock properly. And the restaurant is really loud, even half full. The writing on the menu, about family members and special recipes, tells me that there's pride here and real care about making a good restaurant. However, without the attention to detail (particularly cleanliness and hygiene!), that's kind of moot. Three stars instead of two here because the pizza was good and the staff obviously care about customers.

The location is stunning, especially as the sun sets over the water. Just don't show up without a reservation unless you're in the mood for a wait. We were quoted an hour... it turned into two. Not ideal with two kids under four, but we made it work thanks to a small beach 10 minutes away and a drink from the bar to take the edge off. Valet parking is your only option and it's a bit chaotic--just let the pros do their thing and be sure to have a tip ready. Once you're seated (inside, out on the patio, or in the covered sunroom), the ambiance is relaxed but lively, and the place is huge with no shortage of staff buzzing around. Food? Totally worth the hype. We started with fresh oysters and complimentary bread with butter--off to a great start. I ordered the scallop risotto, and I'm still thinking about it. Creamy, rich, and layered with bacon, lobster, corn, and seared scallops cooked to perfection. Half our table ended up ordering so there was no disappointment once the first plate made its debut. The kids' pizza also deserves a shoutout--fluffy, golden crust that almost made me abandon my risotto and ask for a bite. The wine list was solid, cocktails looked great, and my boyfriend gave the beer selection a shrug. Our server wasn't the friendliest and water refills were a game of "guess when she'll remember," but honestly, it didn't overshadow the meal. Final word: amazing food, a beautiful waterfront view, and the kind of bustling Cape atmosphere you want on vacation. Just make a reservation, tip your valet, and order the risotto. Trust me.
