The Knack is a wonderful quick serve spot for lobster rolls, burgers, hot dogs, and chicken sandwiches in Hyannis. The set up is almost that of a Shake Shack, where you order upon entering, and pick up the food from an adjacent area once it's ready. The interiors did seem a bit spartan to me, but was functional enough for grabbing a quick meal, and staff seemed to do a decent job of keeping tables clean. We ordered a chicken sandwich, a hot dog, a veggie burger, and a side of fries. While the food (4.5/5) wasn't gourmet by any means, it was just about as good as you can get for a fast casual place, and a few steps better in quality than your typical fast food chains. While the meal wasn't cheap, prices were in line with what it takes for a small business of this type to survive in Cape Cod, which relies heavily on seasonal tourism. Overall, The Knack was just what we were looking for with a quick and decent quality lunch, and we would gladly return here for a meal during future visits to Cape Cod. read more

This is my first visit and the first time I ever heard of Knack. I wasn't too exotic on what I ordered. Chocolate milkshake and a hamburger. I was absolutely in heaven. Best burger from a "fast food "place that I've had in forever. The shake was on point. The girl at the service counter was incredible also. Big smile on her face and she actually remembered her names. That was a huge surprise. I wish I remembered her name so I could give her a shout out. It is a very nice layout. Amazingly comfortable with a little fireplace and relaxing area in the back. Nothing cramped at all. If I lived close to here, this would be my new favorite place to go. read more

It was my first time at the Knack and I will be back and I will tell all my friends. The food was delicious! I have been craving a grilled hotdog all Summer and it was just as I imagined. It was just like I cooked it on the grill. The girl behind the counter was writing exactly what we wanted and she came through with just what we told her. The place was super clean and the bathroom was immaculate. My daughter got a clam with bellies on a grilled hot dog roll yummy my next visit will definitely be a Clam Roll Sandwich. While visiting my Dad on Cape Cod he expressed an interest in getting a burger while we were watching the Patriots football game. My mom had mentioned the Knack when I asked her for a place to grab lunch. So I suggested it to my Dad and we placed an online order for two Cheeseburgers and an order of onion rings. The order confirmation indicated the order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. We drove over there promptly and our order was ready upon arrival. Since it was a take out order we did not stay to eat our meal but the restuarant was very inviting and easy to navigate. When we got home our food was still warm and accurate. The burger was very good and the onion rings were as well. The order of onion rings was a good size and came with a side of horseradish sauce. After reading about The Knack over a year ago (an article about where to go for the best burgers), we made a visit a couple months ago. We had one of our grandsons with us and thoroughly enjoyed the food and overall experience. We returned with two of our grandsons and we had a similar experience. Fast and accurate ordering process and food was prepared and ready very quickly. All of us enjoyed the experience. Avocado burger with bacon added, double cheeseburger, another avocado burger and a regular cheeseburger. Fries, onion rings, and shakes rounded things out. Burgers with excellent. Lobster roll- yum and good price! Fish tacos-skip these, they're fine but have definitely had better. Onion rings- I loved these but my partner thought they were too stringy for his liking. Inside is super clean and they're really prompt in wiping down tables whenever people leave. read more

An amazing lobster roll! We've driven by this on the way to the Hyline boat a million times. I thought it was like an Urban Outfitters, until we started singing 'My Sharona' and my bride looked it up. Pleasantly surprised that it was a seafood place. Well, burgers and dogs too, but I'm a pescatarian so... The onion rings are incredible... like the old A&W on Route 139 in Marshfield in the 1970s. Service was great. Plenty of parking too - just watch carefully before you get back on the main road to get to 6. Prices were reasonable. Very big and large facility, and it looks like it could have been designed by an architect during the COVID Crisis of 2020 meaning it is very roomy. read more

I gave four stars to not mess up the algorithm and they give them the benefit of the doubt. We came here, explicitly for the lobster roll due to the positive reviews, and even a couple of locals told us the night before that it was a good place for them. between tax and tip... It was $30 & extremely underwhelming. It had no seasoning, but we shrugged, maybe it's supposed to just have a clean taste like it's from the ocean and no one did anything to it? I don't know, but I have zero desire to ever return to have a lobster roll. in other news, we were the only people eating a lobster roll that we could see, everyone else was having piles of onion rings and fish sandwiches and chicken fingers and fries and burgers... The food was super clean tasting & the lobster was very succulent, the roll wasn't super buttery although I wish it had been, yet & still, the roll was a hit.
