Wow -- SO delish, and I am PICKY! First, the coleslaw was rockin' good! Fresh, flavorful, and made in-house. This is NOT that super-sweet coleslaw drowning in mayo. It was just a tad creamy with a touch of vinegar and the perfect amount of seasoning. Seriously, so good! I had the cold lobster roll and it was soooo darn delicious. My friends had the warm lobster roll and loved theirs too. Both had a really good amount of lobster -- they definitely didn't skimp! It's a small, casual café with simple café tables. Nothing fancy inside, but it was clean. You order at the counter and everything is served casually -- no glass dishes or anything like that. Probably not where I'd pick for a fancy date night, but if you're looking for a GREAT lobster roll and really good food, absolutely worth it! The atmosphere is not very good. The staff are very friendly and really go out of their way to the customers happy. They really check for allergens when you tell them you have an allergy. I was looking for a place with good salads and this restaurant came up on my Yelp search. Due to the high rating (4.6) I decided to give it a try. The place is set up like a casual restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. When we walked in they had their radio set on a Christian station praising all kind of Christian ideology for all to hear. When we walked in, the lady behind the counter just looked at us with no welcoming smile nor attitude. I said Good morning and I got a slight smile from her. I then asked if they had any diabetes friendly items on the menu....She said...I don't know what that means ????!???!?! How can you work in a restaurant and not know what diabetes is ??? I then said, items with low sugar content. She still said, I don't know. So I decided to order a salad. Their Basco Salad was described as a bed of fresh greens and a nice Lomo on top. The salad came up fairly quickly and it was delicious. The boneless pork loin was well seasoned and warm. The greens were fresh and well balanced. I liked the food, but the stern long face of the lady as well as her inability (or un-willingness) to help made me drop one star out of my experience. read more

Bf and I just took a chance and pulled in on a Sunday, not a car in the lot. I am so glad we did. Food was great! Pasta salad (side) is delicious!! He had the Po Boy and really enjoyed it. He didn't eat the roll it came in but said it had a nice little kick. I had the French dip. Very good as well. Only thing keeping it from excellent for me was that the rb was served cold...I prefer hot rb with au ju. But the au ju was piping hot. Everything about this place is terrible. The people who work here are nasty. But the food is truly nasty-inedible. I ordered the tuna wrap and had to spit it out. My husband got a roast beef wrap also disgusting. Don't get me started on the pasta salad Flavors were horrible and Everything painfully over salted - like wtf??? To top it off we sat outside in the picnic area where people next door were blowing leaves - not the restaurant's fault but didn't help contend with the absolutely disgusting food. Price $65. A tad bit expensive. All the food was great. Fish was hot and tasty. Burger special was one of the best I've had. Coleslaw was just right. Cashier was friendly but not to friendly. Went here because nothing was really open down the cape. We walked into the restaurant and were not greeted by the lady at the front desk. We asked of we could sit anywhere. The lady, short brown hair classes older, told us in a condensing voice you order here. We ordered Fish and chips and the smashed avocado salad. Service time was pretty quick. We watched while we waited for food. The cashier, lady who took our order was rude to another gentleman who came in asking for a job for her daughter. She answered NO!! The guy tried to justify his question saying that his daughter was 14 years old and maybe that was too young to work. The cashier explained it was the winter and they barely had any customers. I read that other people had issues with other races. My wife is Hispanic, every other person was of caucasian race cashier was reasonably nice but never smiled or looked thrilled to be there. Just before we finished our food a younger worker took over the cashier position. My wife went to use the bathroom and I asked the new cashier is that lady the owner. She responded no just someone that's worked here for a while. I responded well she need to leave. read more

Friendly service and reasonably well kept place, conveniently located. However, I found the food, a little bit unimpressive, more filled with fries, and less with flavor or meat. For the price, the portions look good sized, but are mostly filled with cheaper, mass produced stuff. It missed the boat on seafood for which you go to a place like this in New England. If you are on vacation and the wife wants to go for her fourth consecutive night of seafood but others in your party could do with anything *but* seafood and Nana is complaining that she hasn't had a salad in four days then Basco is the place for you. Broad menu with lots of choices including seafood, burgers, chicken, salads, wraps, you get the idea. Food quality is excellent. Lots of menu items with a cajun flair and tasty variations on standards. Kids said the burgers were perfect. The Basco sauce was a hit. Batter dipped fries, yum. And yes, the lobster roll was excellent. Happy wife happy life as they say. This place should be more crowded than it is. Skip the lines and check out Basco Grill. What a great restaurant! Very creative food choices, fresh and beautifully prepared. It's so nice to have a huge selection from a chef who obviously loves food and isn't burnt out instead of the same old standard choices that are in hundreds of restaurants. We had the shop Po Boy, that was loaded with shrimp, a great salad with grilled thinly sliced pork on top. We also had the Brussel sprouts wrapped in bacon and the avocado stuffed with shrimp salad. They has a butternut bisque that was the best we've had in years. We always order lots of things to try as many ideas as we can. Probably needless to say, but we took a lot home. Burger was a good size and tasty. We selected the macaroni salad for a side dish which was very different than what we expected. It had lots of vegetables in it and I think there was blue cheese in it. Very interesting flavors. We also had a bowl of NE clam chowder which was very good. Service was friendly and quick. So glad that a good restaurant is now at this location, as the Lunch Box fell off a cliff a few years ago at least. I had to do takeout due to COVID but the food was wonderful and the staff nice. I can't say enough good things about this place. The food here is absolutely outstanding! We get take out here regularly, and never had anything that was less than amazing. I get the BBQ beef sandwich pretty regularly, and the Ensalada salad is also excellent. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. A good option for tasty sandwiches on the Cape. Two of us got the "Rooster" chicken sandwich with bacon jam and cheddar cheese. A massive sandwich, large perfectly fried breast. Nice flavor, perhaps a little heavy handed on the jam. I love spice but I'd ask them to scale that back a bit next time. The service was very friendly.
