Nice spot to grab snacks and get some shade from the sun. I liked the root beer float! Hot dogs were also really good- all beef, grilled. Good to know they also have breakfast, if you want to go straight to the beach.

Clams and fried fish. These are the beat clams I've ever had.

We had multiple food items that were great. I NEED to tell the world how amazing their fried clams are. Lightly battered, sand free and SO SWEET and fresh!! 3 of in my group staying next door eat clams and we all had the same opinion. So much that we had them for breakfast at 10 am the next morning!!!!! The tartar, Cole Slaw, fried fish, and homemade potato chips were all above average too!! See you next summer!

    Can't miss it

This is a little gem in center ville. By far the best fried oreos and cheese fries I've ever had. Service is great too

Had the fish and chips and wasn't disappointed. Great little place on the side of the road. Must stop by if you are at the beach.

I will be no longer ordering food from or dine inside of what I once thought was a great local place! I'm putting them on blast hoping people will join me and boycott this place! The daily paper on Main Street and in Centerville! A local veteran has been taking a group of unhoused older vets to eat at the daily paper weekly, this man holds a group every week and pays for a group of 8 unhoused veterans to eat out! They are not disruptive, they are struggling and this man who knows the owner of the daily paper was asked to no longer bring his group of veterans there to eat! The owner said he had some complaints from other customers and just asked he take them somewhere else! I am appalled that they would even consider doing such a thing to a paying customer who is supporting our local vets who are struggling and just need a nice hot meal once a week! Maybe they aren't the cleanest or the best smelling, but that's because they have no roof over their head and a shower to clean themselves or a place to even heat up a hot meal to eat on a daily basis, but they served our country and that's all that should matter this man is paying out of his own pocket for all their meals. They sit down they eat and they leave but now they are not allowed to go to the daily paper so I am also not ever going to the daily paper. I hope everyone reads this and joins me because this is just something we as a community should not allow to happen in our town. The restaurant will try and teLl you this is false accusation but I assure you it is not!

I had trouble deciding between the organic omelette and the spinach/tomato benny and our server was very helpful with the decision, sharing that a lot of folks enjoyed the benny with the addition of avocado. I was sold and it was amazing, the English muffin was grilled perfectly, nice and crunchy. I always order my bennys without the hollandaise, letting the egg serve as a sauce - I enjoyed a healthy, filling and delicious breakfast. Hubby ordered his usual ham & cheese omelette and he was very happy, although the whole wheat toast was a disappointment, bland. We would definitely go back when we are on the Cape.

The interior is pretty basic, small tables and small chairs, so a person of substance such as myself didn't find the seating comfortable. I tried: - French onion soup: this should have been an easy win. I found the Gruyere cheese to be overly thick, and the broth to be heavy handed on the wine. - Steak tartare: this was a good dish. The beef was thin cut, smooth, and the egg was cooked just right so the yolk added richness that then got offset by the capers. Due to the richness, you may actually find that this could be all you need for a meal, despite it looking small. - Croque Madame: le sigh, what a failure this sandwich was. Over easy egg? Not today, over medium, so not much runny yolk but a thicker one. This is a gigantic salt bomb, in addition. They serve your water in tiny glasses and every bite led to downing an entire glass of water. It's good they were on top of refilling the glasses, but even then I finished a quarter of this before I couldn't take it any more. I did saunter over to the counter where they have a lot of good looking pastries, so we'll see if the ones I bought end up redeeming this place. As it stands, I can't recommend this establishment unless you'd like to try the tartare.

This year we came back because of how outstanding last year was. I ordered the chili again, even though I knew it meant I probably wouldn't eat my whole meal. BEST meal I have EVER had. Ever. I had the cod. Baked. With pesto, and sun-dried tomatoes. Served with roasted potatoes and spinach. So flaky. So tender. Perfectly cooked. The flavor was something straight from heaven. Breaks my heart I'm not local. I'd eat this weekly. All of the staff is always so friendly. The TV screens are perfectly placed, the bartenders are friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The pizza was excellent -- flavorful, hot, and done just right. We also tried the meatloaf, and it genuinely reminded us of our grandmother's from years ago -- comforting, hearty, and full of flavor. That's not something you find everywhere. Even in the middle of winter, the place had a warm, lively vibe. We ended up having a great conversation with someone we later found out was the owner -- just chatting about everyday life. That kind of genuine hospitality says a lot. Good food, great service, and an easygoing atmosphere. Thanks for a great experience -- we'll definitely be back!
