The Knack is a wonderful quick serve spot for lobster rolls, burgers, hot dogs, and chicken…read moresandwiches in Hyannis. The set up is almost that of a Shake Shack, where you order upon entering, and pick up the food from an adjacent area once it's ready. The interiors did seem a bit spartan to me, but was functional enough for grabbing a quick meal, and staff seemed to do a decent job of keeping tables clean. We ordered a chicken sandwich, a hot dog, a veggie burger, and a side of fries. While the food (4.5/5) wasn't gourmet by any means, it was just about as good as you can get for a fast casual place, and a few steps better in quality than your typical fast food chains. While the meal wasn't cheap, prices were in line with what it takes for a small business of this type to survive in Cape Cod, which relies heavily on seasonal tourism. Overall, The Knack was just what we were looking for with a quick and decent quality lunch, and we would gladly return here for a meal during future visits to Cape Cod.

Regular tavern feel nothing special, but all the while perfect and cozy. Waiters were quick, kind, and didn't hover but were always around if you needed them. Bonus points if you get a side mac and cheese and put some on the burger ( that's what I did).

The lemon pepper wings were hardly seasoned. Also they were very dry. I could barely taste the lemon flavor. My fried cod fish sandwich was delicious though! Everything was called in for pick-up. So I would give this restaurant a 3.5 rating.

Tap City Grille was a surprise for me!…read more I tried it out around 7 years ago and wasn't the biggest fan. It was a good place to go out with friends and have some wings, but I wasn't impressed whatsoever. My family and I were on vacation looking for a place to go that's different from Seafood, so we went back to Tap City to give it another shot. It was incredible. It was possibly one of my favorite restaurants I've tried during my vacation. We got a lot of different dishes, so I was able to try a bunch of them. I myself ordered a "build your own" Pizza. I got Hot Italian Sausage and Pepperoni. It was a very good size for the amount of money you spend. It was delicious. The sauce was amazing, the cheese blend was good and the toppings were both fresh! The crust was a bit soggy however. It was fine, it just was a bit floppy. I tried the Brussel Sprout appetizer and it may have been the best thing on the menu. They were addictive. I could've just ordered those and have been satisfied. I tried the Chicken Tenders and they were alright, but you could tell they are frozen and not homemade. The Fries were good, but just normal fries you'd expect at a bar and grille. Although I personally didn't try it, one of the guests I was with was in love with the Hamburger. This place is a must stop on your vacation if you're looking for a break from Seafood. It has a nice atmosphere and has been packed every time I've walked by. So why am I only giving this a four? Our waitress was not good. She had zero emotion and looked like she wanted to be anywhere other than at her job. I waited 20 minutes to get a refill on my drink because she never checked on us until we finished our food. The service at Tap City Grille should be improved.

The…read morebluefish pate itself was good, but rather on the salty side, so serving it with salt and vinegar chips made it pretty much inedibly salty (this was taken off the bill when the bartender noticed we didn't eat more than one bite each). My first glass of vinho verde wine was served at room temperature (the second was fine), and the side plate I was given was crusted with dried food residue. I also watched an employee behind the bar wipe her nose with her hand and then continue slicing citrus barehanded. The chicken empanadas were good but not particularly special. We also had one of the small pizzas, which was the best thing of the night, crispy and flavorful (with a little char at the edges, which we like). The decor is a little bananas (different shades of green between the walls, the napkins, the barstools, and the banquettes; five kinds of lighting fixtures; lots of sound and lighting items with exposed, hasty-looking wiring). The bathroom door doesn't really close and lock properly. And the restaurant is really loud, even half full. The writing on the menu, about family members and special recipes, tells me that there's pride here and real care about making a good restaurant. However, without the attention to detail (particularly cleanliness and hygiene!), that's kind of moot. Three stars instead of two here because the pizza was good and the staff obviously care about customers.

The wings ($1 per wing mind you on Sundays) are incredible with a huge selection of flavors! Might be the best deal on Cape Cod if you are a wing lover. Ribs were smoked perfectly with a crust great crust but moist fall of the bone meat. Definitely looking forward to visiting again to try other selections on the menu. Finally the service is amazing. On my way there to celebrate a 60th birthday, I took a gander at the menu. And it seemed so confusing. VERY. Ecuadorian, Italian and Brazilian... why? This CANT BE RIGHT. But I went along, sat with the birthday boy and his birthday entourage, hung out with his lovely sons, and after the hubby and I struggled with all the wonderfully described offerings. Fried fish, meats - Ecuadorian, Italian or Brazilian. Pizza. Pasta. Rice. LOTS OF RICE DISHES. Beans. Chicharron.., eggs... plantains... OH for the love of stuff we love to eat when we don't want to cook it, but in an ethnic way that grandma didn't teach us, and yet the levels of deliciousness we all have in common across the Latin and Brazilian Americas... My husband went with lamb chops off the Brazillian menu and I ordered the Churrasco Brazileiro. As the plates started arriving to the table we realized that these guys have PORTION ISSUES! SERIOUSLY! An order EASILY feeds two people. The meat, ALL of them were PERFECTLY Rare as ordered! Jasmine rice is fluffy and well cooked. I had beans that were mixed with a "feijoada" kind of situation. I had bites off the meats, leaving more than half and enjoyed ALL the chicarron, beans, rice and a lamb chop off Hubby's plate. The food is fantastic! Not fine dining. Just REALLY GOOD FOOD!
