Sir Cricket's is great for what it tries to be. I think that some of the people who haven't liked it were just expecting something different. It is an extremely casual counter service restaurant that focuses mostly on fried seafood. They also serve other local staples like clam chowder and a lobster roll that I did not try but is very reasonably priced. The service is good and I was surprised (it was actually pretty cool) to hear some good reggaeton from the early 2000s be the music of choice. If you're from Miami you know what I mean. The fish n chips is very good. Of course, it's on the heavy side (you habe to be okay with that) but tastes great. Lobster Roll was about half the size of the photos & there was shell still on the meat. The the coleslaw does not taste homemade at all. Fries were good; hence, the twi stars. Casual ambience, small interior. No table service. Disappointing after all the hype; I'm hoping this was just an 'off day'. We love this spot! It's on our rotation when we have people in town. Food: We always get the fisherman's platter which gives you an assortment of clams, shrimp, fish and scallops. You're able to sub if you don't like one of those options. It's a great deal. We also get a side of the seafood cake. I had a long drive to the Cape earlier this month and was looking forward to my first lobster roll of the season; I spied Sir Crickets as I was nearing the end of my journey and noted how busy the parking lot was. I walked into the take-out area and was immediately warned they weren't accepting any more fried-food orders for the rest of the evening, I asked if I could have a lobster roll with a side-order of french fries; I was told fries weren't available but the lobster roll was. I placed my order and was pleasantly surprised (short-lived) how quickly it came out. I arrived at my hotel to enjoy it but when I opened the wrapper I immediately noticed how white and dripping-wet the lobster meat was; from my experience lobster meat is reddish in color; actually I'll get right to the point, it was DISGUSTING; it was what I call "LOBSTER SLOP", i.e., remnants from discarded lobster entrails or other white-fish mixed with mayonnaise or coleslaw-dressing into an amalgam of slurry. Unfortunately I was so hungry from working and driving all day I ate it; my stomach was sour for the next two days and I had to augment my sleep (stomach) with antacids it was so bad. read more

the food was good. my boyfriend got the fried clams and a lobster roll. he really liked them. i don't eat seafood so i just got the sweet potato fries, they were fine. the issue i have is the service. whoever the girl was at the cash register on 7/5 around 1;30pm, needs an attitude adjustment. so rude and left a bad taste in my mouth. rolling her eyes and the tone in her voice, so weird for an adult to act like that. ruined the experience and will not be back lol. read more

This is a hole in the wall restaurant with amazing food. They have fried fish, calamari, clam and all sorts for seafood including lobster roll. Not a fancy restaurant but amazing food quality. The portion size was very generous. They do not have table service but someone will bring your food to the table. Take out is probably most common for this place. Stopped in for take out. Order a large fish and chips and a small fried shrimp. The fish is battered so the coating is thicker rather than thin but tasty and not greasy. Shrimp were very tasty. Fries were good. We reheated everything at high temp for a few minutes in the oven which worked great. The sign says they provide tartar and/or cocktail sauce with the order. I wanted extra so served some to myself but was clear this was in addition, not instead of. Glad I did because when we got home, the containers I filled were the only ones we had. Great lobster rolls with what seems to be an entire lobster. I've had three recently and all had two entire claws and bug chucks of lobster. Good valuable fir the money. Fish and chips are good. I love this Hidden Gem in Orleans, MA! We went there because it was voted Top 10 Fish and Chips in Massachusetts and it did not disappoint. The fish was very crispy and the cole slaw was very nicely done as well. The prices were extremely reasonable for the area and highly recommended. There are very few tables, but most people buy for takeout as people were coming and going in and out all night. We did eat at the place, but probably not a place to hang out, mostly to eat the fish fresh on the spot, pay a low price and go for drinks after in the area. We stop every year on Cape for a round of lobster rolls and haddock chowder, then head to a local lookout, beach or park to enjoy lunch. Been here twice now and the seafood is decent but not amazing. Our favorite seafood restaurant closed and we ended up here because it was only of the few restaurants open. It has a small dining in seating area and just one picnic table outside. Got the Fisherman's Platter and split it between two of us. There was only 3 fried scallops in our platter. The clams were whole belly's. And the fried fish was odd - the batter coating in the fish was soft and almost soggy like. Decently New England style clam chowder. And I thought the food prices weren't outrageous. I think the fisherman's platter was about $27 (give or take a dollar). I know back at home you'll be paying $33+ for a platter like this with whole belly clams. read more

This is the best cold lobster roll on the Cape, in my opinion. I actually prefer hot with melted butter. But when I have a craving for cold, I go to Sir Cricket's. Why? Note that there is no celery, just mayo. Other places put a huge, thick lettuce leaf in there, taking up room and therefore you get less lobster meat. Sir Cricket has no ridiculous lettuce and celery. It's just fresh lobster meat and lots of it. Served with bag of Cape Cod Chips. Very good onion rings and clam chowder. Soda machine if you need that. Water dispenser on counter. Tartar sauce and cocktail sauces in little tubs to grab. Lobster roll is 14.95 an extra 3 dollars for fries and slaw. Very good deal and fresh from the lobster pool next door. Sometimes they have the Crab roll. Amazing. Once I had the Crabster: yes. Crab and lobster mixed and heaped heavily in the roll. Only lucky to hit that once when I guess that was in season. 5 small tables inside. One picnic table outside. read more

The service is quick and polite. The owners have run this place for as long as I can remember. A tried and true seafood spot for decades. During busier hours call in the order to beat the line.
