Outstanding! Run, don't walk to Surfside Seafood for their Oyster Po Boy (or a Lobster Roll or Scallop Roll). My family has been buying fresh lobster and fish from this location for years, but had never eaten from their menu on-site. Man, have we been missing out. I've just finished the best Oyster Po Boy I've ever had...and I've been fortunate enough to eat them all over the country. My son had a lobster roll that was so large and so good, I had to remind him to breathe in between bites. And my wife enjoyed her scallop roll so much, all she could say, repeatedly, was "this is my new favorite place." Once we'd finished, we got to meet the owner Bradley. He's a scallop fisherman who brings freshies in every morning at 4AM, which would explain my wife's reaction to the scallop roll. And then we met his partner Alex, who spent 15 years in New Orleans, which would explain the incredible Oyster Po Boy. Props too, to all of the staff at this place...especially the guys in the kitchen who manage to smile and wave despite the fact that they're moving fast and getting amazing food out the door. Everyone told us to go to Chatham Fish Market and we did - and it was good. But honestly this place had better chowder, better poke bowls and measured up well with all the fried dishes. They were 15-20 minutes late on our call ahead order but that seems like a common event there so be ready for a little bit of a wait. Appeared to be plenty of people working out front but only one guy in the back? The smoked clam chowder might be the best chowder I've ever had. Get it. read more

Cooked shrimp appeared to have been frozen, tasteless. I also bought 1/2 lb lobster meat just so so. Service was good. Ambience non-existent since takeout. read more

We had chowder, which was OK, steamers, which were pretty tasteless and gritty, and a scallop platter, which was downright terrible. The scallops were not sweet and succulent the way they're supposed to be, but rather rubbery and having a slight chemical flavor. There were two people working, and the gentleman was rude. The best seafood in town! The oysters and shrimp are incredibly fresh and the chowder and bisque are so flavorful.

We got a variety of things - lobster, tuna, oysters, etc. Lobster was fine. Tuna (labeled 'sushi grade') was a bit fishy - not very fresh. I shucked one oyster and ate it and it had an odd flavor - kind of muddy. Not sweet and briny. Didn't eat the rest. (Maybe there's a kind of oyster that's supposed to taste like mud and I'm just ignorant, but I really love oysters and just couldn't eat these.) read more

Had a wonderful lunch on Sunday. I had the seafood tacos - delicious, perfectly cooked fish. Bonus for everything including fried foods being gluten free! My wife isn't a fish person and had chicken quesadillas. Again, perfectly cooked grilled chicken and excellent guacamole came with it. Exceptionally friendly people, well prepared food. The fresh seafood for sale also looked terrific - will be back for that. read more
