Dined in on a quiet Cape Cod January night with my lovely partner. Had an absolutely delicious meal. So fun to share lots of small plates, pricing is reasonable, and the food is so yummy and fun. Five spice tofu and tamari bok choy, chicken tiika masala, crawfish etouffee, Hawaiian pork, and fried rice, tempura fried Oreos! Tasted like home cooking around the world. The place is beyond eclectic and the music is funky. It's a real trip. Menu changes frequently. Can't wait to go back. read more

Super cozy restaurant with an unusual global menu and a huge number of vegan options. Portions are small which is actually great because you get to taste different options. Everything was well cooked and properly spiced and very close to what you would get at different ethnic restaurants. Highly recommended! read more

We had an amazing dinner here! Such wonderful ambience, you feel like you're in another country! Beautiful. For starters, we ordered the chips and salsa Verde and the scallion pancake. Scallion pancake was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. For entrées we order the eggplant vindaloo and the char sui pork fried rice. Fried rice was really tasty with crispy bits of pork, perfectly done. The vindaloo was spicy and flavorful and not just hot. I loved my tangy, pomegranate, margarita which had great flavor. Our server was wonderful, and helped us with the menu. We had an amazing dinner here and we will definitely be back! read more

Surely a varied menu with ethnic offerings not commonly found around here... Great atmosphere, but the food was only "okay," and even though these are small plates, the portion size on some of the dishes was beyond small. --Stuffed Scallion Pancake, miniscule pork stuffing and wasn't expecting deep-fried. --Jerk chicken skewers lacked spice, mostly tasted cloves. --Bean and Cheese tacos, soupy filling. --Char Siu Pork Fried Rice, our waitress called this the house special fried rice and this was the best we sampled. Flavorful and ample portion. Service was lacking. Waitress said dishes come out quickly so she left menus on the table for future rounds of ordering. After we placed our second round, we waited 40 minutes. read more

Are you tired of fried seafood? Run to this fun and fabulous eatery. Full of amazing artifacts from all over the world , the food offers interesting dishes from the owner's travels. Options are for small tapas size or full sized dishes . Mike the owner is sensitive to multiple dietary needs. The selections for my daughter's vegan boyfriend were the best I have ever seen. Our favorites were the baba ganoush and eggplant vindaloo. Everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We will be back and encourage all foodies to stop here when visiting this part of the Cape . read more

Delicious food & friendly service! We're already planning our next trip to try the things we didn't get to try the first time. The atmosphere is eclectic and has the feel of dining at a friend's house; the cocktail menu is equally eclectic. My partner generally avoids mocktails because they are over sweet and the Pineapple Ginger Spritz hit the mark perfectly. Highly recommend! read more

This place is so fun! Full of eclectic decor and interesting finds. The food is small plates which is nice because you can order a little at first and then order more as you want it. Lots of delicious vegan options and good cocktails. read more

Meh, the food was ok, but disappointed to receive 3 of the smallest falafel I'd ever seen with a tiny side salad, pita and some rice. The eggplant vindaloo dish was even more disappointing with only some spice, no sauce on the eggplant, more rice and another of those pitas. Despite the fact that it was not busy, our server didn't even check to see how we liked our dishes. I ended up having my dining companion share some sauce from his dish to choke it down. Overall disappointing. read more

Very eclectic with international decor food choices from all around the globe... very tasty small and large portions available...price fixing/ specials for each week night... a nice healthy alternative to burgers and fries or pizza or chicken fingers... great for adults who want something different and delicious for dinner that is not over priced... read more

Abroad is a cozy restaurant which gave the impression of having dinner at a friends house. The service was great and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We loved the experience of ordering and sharing small tapas plates and trying numerous items off the menu. We tried the jerk chicken which was moist and tender and bursting with flavors without being too spicy. The stuffed scallion pancake with potato, cheddar and bacon was equally delicious with a nice sweet chili sauce accompanying it. We also tried the creamy and satisfying tzatziki with freshly grilled flatbread, homemade pickles and pit-less olives that balanced everything perfectly. The pork tacos with the delicious slaw and dusted with cojita cheese were delicious. The nicely grilled corn tortillas with savory pork was right on point. The only dishes we were a bit hesitant on was the house fried rice with pork and the Kalua pork. The fried rice in my opinion had way too much sesame oil on it which overpowered the flavors of all the other ingredients but also gave the dish a slightly greasy flavor. The pork served on white rice was a bit dry and the rice was slightly undercooked. Overall we definitely enjoyed our dinner and will be back to try more of the international menu. read more

8/25/23 we arrived shortly after Abroad opened for the day and opted to eat at the covered outdoor patio. It's fun to look around the room with all the eclectic items to see. Katie was our server. We ordered drinks and food at the same time and requested all food to be brought together. For our libation, we both went with Abroad rum punch, which we enjoyed sipping while waiting for our food. The wait was short as our food came out within 10 minutes. My husband opted for the gazpacho. He gave me a sip, and we both agreed it was like a bowl of summer. Delicious! I had a small order of the eggplant vindaloo, which was also very tasty. We shared an order of the stuffed scallion pancake, and the jerk chicken skewers, which we also enjoyed. The plates were cleared when we were finished, and the check was brought out in a timely manner. We were on our way about 40 minutes after arriving, which surprised me as we took our time eating and enjoying our punch. Headed to Nickerson State Park afterwards to work off some of the calories. It was a great lunch out. read more

pros: -cool unique decor, felt like walking into someone's home -our server (catie, i believe her name was) was very knowledgeable about the dishes and gave us a really good run down about the menu, explaining the tapas style was very helpful and she made us feel really comfortable to order more whenever we wanted to, etc. (her trainee charlotte, i think her name was, was great too! she has a great trainer) other staff members were very kind and helpful as well -food was pretty delicious, unique options compared to other cape cod restaurants, served mocktails too. -cute and clean bathroom cons: i don't really have any i can think of - it is rare for me to rate a restaurant 5 stars, but i really had no complaints! definitely recommend trying this spot out, make a reservation if you can, just in case! read more

Super cute space and you can ship while you wait for food but you won't be waiting long. My partner does not do cilantro, and appreciated that the taco part of the menu called out it's usage, but then it was in other dishes without being mentioned. He got one of the noodle soups, which was meant to be a substantial meal, per the server, but was what we would have called appetizer size. He then got the broccoli rabe which was just steamed with cheese. I had the eggplant which came with undercooked rice. I told the server and got new rice, but the eggplant was served on the rice, so I still had hard pieces of rice stuck in. The eggplant was really good though. Everyone else enjoyed their food, especially the jerk chicken, tacos and scallion pancake. read more

Creative and delicious menu within a great restaurant atmosphere. Highly recommend a visit.

We went to Abroad tonight for the first time. Everything was delicious! We started with the tzatziki. For our tapas meal we had the Siu Mai meatball skewers, one of each tacos Cochinita Pibil and Taco Bean And Cheddar, Patatas Bravas and the pork fried rice. For dessert we shared the chocolate mousse with black salt. The fried rice was my favorite, or was it, I really loved everything! Can't wait to go back try some more of their menu!! Our server was also amazing. We put in our whole order and asked that they be spaced out so everything didn't arrive at the same time. And the best part of the evening is they take reservations!! No waiting for table in the height of summer tourist season!! read more

Out of this world. I was afraid everything would be bland, but it was all so flavorful. The shrimp, eggplant, wings, rice, salad- literally every dish was amazing. Drinks were smooth too. Our waiter was also our bartender. He was very attentive. Very cool looking place too. read more

Quiet on a Wednesday night. Felt like coming into someone's home. Cute gardens surround the outside and the atmosphere is cozy. Food is straight up comfort, with tapas from a variety of cuisines. Everything was tasty and not over spiced. Enjoyed the scallop ceviche with mango and chips with a Thai Martini. read more

Interesting restaurant. I get the menu concept but it's a bit all over the place (intentional). Execution was okay. Nothing I would come back for. Chips and salsa must be priced by the chip (‍). Service was incredibly slow. read more

Unusual and pleasant food experience. Atmosphere is intimate and pleasing. Would recommend this restaurant.

Not authentic Vietnamese. Pho was tiny , overpriced and contained stir fry steak NOT thin sliced beef. This dish typically comes with loads of bean sprouts, basil, and tons of cilantro. There was maybe one bean sprout and no cilantro. The broth was like water and had no flavor. Again, this dish was haphazardly put together and called Pho. .. just bad ..Refund worthy and the waitress did nothing in regard to our bill after discussing our unhappiness and complaints. read more

We had a great tapas style meal here with a variety of dishes all of which were delicious.

The idea of this restaurant was unique and ambitious and the menu looked promising. Unfortunately, nothing stood out. For the amount that we paid, the quality and flavor wasn't there. Jesus, Mary, Joseph. I hope Abroad keeps their New Years Eve menu. It was a tapas explosion with a main entree that was amazing. The cocktails were also wonderful. But there was also a special New Years wine menu as well. Abroad has been this hidden restaurant in Orleans in 2021. Their New Years menu has shown the potential of their chef. Orleans needs a quality menu like what Abroad put out on New Years. I hope you stop by Abroad to try it out The photos I posted are from New Years and from our entrees. They were delicious read more

Food was amazing! We tried the tacos (bean and cheese was particularly good), fried rice, Hawaiian pork, scallion pancake, and fried rice. Everything was delicious. They had a house made chocolate mousse and amaretto ice cream for desert, but those options rotate. The service was attentive. The space is eclectic and cozy. I'm sure they will be very busy over the summer months! Look forward to coming back next time I'm in town. read more

Fabulous dinner! Our group of six loved the eclectic ambience of Abroad. It felt warm, welcoming, and fun. More important, the food was delicious. We shared 10-12 dishes and every one was great - not a single disappointment. Favorites included the scallop ceviche, kalua pork, scallion pancake with sausage, and sui mai meatballs. Cocktails were excellent. And the service was great too. We will be back. read more

The prices are uncomfortable, borderline delusional for the food that you get. I am not afraid to spend top dollar for excellent food, I come from NYC after all.... but you will come out of this restaurant feeling that you've been scammed. Case in point, they charged 12$, for 4 thinly pieces of avocado over rice and sauce. That dish really needs to go back to the drawing board. Plating was terrible, taste was not bad, but this is taking the avocado toast meme to another level. Originally felt it was 3 star... took another down after both girlfriend and I had bad indigestion after the meal. Girlfriend needed to take off work the next day. The Good: The décor and ambience is beautiful. The staff is friendly and the overall concept is very unique. Some of the dishes are executed fairly well, but nothing spectacular if you had the original dish before. Jack of all trades, Master of None: This restaurant aims to "take you around the world" in terms of cuisine. I've had the majority of the food that they offer from restaurants that actually specialize in that cuisine. And as expected... none of these dishes come even close to being either high quality or authentic. This is inevitable because it's impossible to have mastery over a wide variety of cuisine. But again if you charge these ridiculous prices, then you have got to deliver. And sadly none of them really do. I'm extremely disappointed overall. Truth be told, there is a lot of good ideas here. But it really feels that greed is holding this place back. read more

Sadly it didn't click with us. Asked if the Riesling was sweet or dry the bartender didn't have a clue. Plus very off putting sitting at the bar because the bartender smelled like an ashtray. Food was mediocre at best. Still needs work. Wish them luck. Yes, you did have Riesling look at whites on your menu. And for the record it was sweet not dry. If you were the bartender. Take note about your smoking. read more

It is a shame that this place replaced Abba. I found the decor to be unpleasant and distracting- seems like owners shopped at the christmas tree closing sale. I also have to note a fly problem- we had many large flies buzzing overhead near the bar area as we tried to eat. Tofu skewers were so covered in spices- had the texture of coffee grounds. As for the dan dan noodles- nearly inedible. Disgustingly greasy with only white stem pieces of bok choy. No spice, flavorless. Jerk chicken skewers were the most edible thing on the menu. Servers seemed confused and kept forgetting about us- we had about 4 or 5 different people come to our table throughout the night. Greatly disappointing. read more

Last night we had the incredible pleasure of being able to dine at Abroad in Orleans. The food served tapas style was exceptional; the service was out of this world and the decor was unique. We traveled the globe in the hour and a half that we were there. We enjoyed Thai, Middle Eastern and Mexican cuisine. The Kafta beef kibbi was as authentic as my late dads' relatives used to make during our family gatherings. The Kaho Soi was about authentic as you could get for a red coconut curry rivaling that from many of the other top Thai restaurants I have frequented in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The Bun Cha was loaded with rich flavors matching the authentic home cooking I have experienced from my Vietnamese friends home cooking. This restaurant is a true gem in Orleans in a town that is noted for great beaches but restaurants lacking in diversity. As a frequent visitor to Orleans where my mother resides it is great to have a new and different establishment to visit. Despite the food being out of this world the truly neat thing that made our experience even more special was that the co-owner Molly was very engaged with her customers as she spent about 15 minutes chatting with our table We truly wish her the best of luck and the establishment continues to prosper. We look forward to being frequent visitors to Abroad!! Keep up the great work Molly and team!! read more

I wanted to give this place more than three stars but there where a few things that were annoying here . Mixed drinks are creative and very delicious , but hardly any alcohol in them . For $13 should have just ordered the mock tail . We really wanted to try the Kafta but it was not ready and the waitress was afraid to ask the chef when it would be ready . Also as many have mentioned portions are very small even the items marked "dinner". $27 for 3 shrimp and some rice noodles was a lot. At the end of the dinner we asked if kafta was ready as we wanted to take home to eat but again we're told she was too afraid to as Chef which is too bad because we did like all the food we ordered . I'm mixed as to whether I will return . read more
