Eggplant vindaloo - A white plate contains rice, naan bread, and eggplant vindaloo, with a spoon resting on the plate and some green garnish. The plate is on a wooden table with a menu and another partially eaten plate in the background. The scene suggests a casual dining setting, likely at an Indian or global street food restaurant.

Are you tired of fried seafood? Run to this fun and fabulous eatery. Full of amazing artifacts from all over the world , the food offers interesting dishes from the owner's travels. Options are for small tapas size or full sized dishes . Mike the owner is sensitive to multiple dietary needs. The selections for my daughter's vegan boyfriend were the best I have ever seen. Our favorites were the baba ganoush and eggplant vindaloo. Everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We will be back and encourage all foodies to stop here when visiting this part of the Cape .

We had an amazing dinner here! Such wonderful ambience, you feel like you're in another country! Beautiful. For starters, we ordered the chips and salsa Verde and the scallion pancake. Scallion pancake was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. For entrées we order the eggplant vindaloo and the char sui pork fried rice. Fried rice was really tasty with crispy bits of pork, perfectly done. The vindaloo was spicy and flavorful and not just hot. I loved my tangy, pomegranate, margarita which had great flavor. Our server was wonderful, and helped us with the menu. We had an amazing dinner here and we will definitely be back!

Surely a varied menu with ethnic offerings not commonly found around here... Great atmosphere, but the food was only "okay," and even though these are small plates, the portion size on some of the dishes was beyond small. --Stuffed Scallion Pancake, miniscule pork stuffing and wasn't expecting deep-fried. --Jerk chicken skewers lacked spice, mostly tasted cloves. --Bean and Cheese tacos, soupy filling. --Char Siu Pork Fried Rice, our waitress called this the house special fried rice and this was the best we sampled. Flavorful and ample portion. Service was lacking. Waitress said dishes come out quickly so she left menus on the table for future rounds of ordering. After we placed our second round, we waited 40 minutes.

Abroad is a cozy restaurant which gave the impression of having dinner at a friends house. The service was great and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We loved the experience of ordering and sharing small tapas plates and trying numerous items off the menu. We tried the jerk chicken which was moist and tender and bursting with flavors without being too spicy. The stuffed scallion pancake with potato, cheddar and bacon was equally delicious with a nice sweet chili sauce accompanying it. We also tried the creamy and satisfying tzatziki with freshly grilled flatbread, homemade pickles and pit-less olives that balanced everything perfectly. The pork tacos with the delicious slaw and dusted with cojita cheese were delicious. The nicely grilled corn tortillas with savory pork was right on point. The only dishes we were a bit hesitant on was the house fried rice with pork and the Kalua pork. The fried rice in my opinion had way too much sesame oil on it which overpowered the flavors of all the other ingredients but also gave the dish a slightly greasy flavor. The pork served on white rice was a bit dry and the rice was slightly undercooked. Overall we definitely enjoyed our dinner and will be back to try more of the international menu.

8/25/23 we arrived shortly after Abroad opened for the day and opted to eat at the covered outdoor patio. It's fun to look around the room with all the eclectic items to see. Katie was our server. We ordered drinks and food at the same time and requested all food to be brought together. For our libation, we both went with Abroad rum punch, which we enjoyed sipping while waiting for our food. The wait was short as our food came out within 10 minutes. My husband opted for the gazpacho. He gave me a sip, and we both agreed it was like a bowl of summer. Delicious! I had a small order of the eggplant vindaloo, which was also very tasty. We shared an order of the stuffed scallion pancake, and the jerk chicken skewers, which we also enjoyed. The plates were cleared when we were finished, and the check was brought out in a timely manner. We were on our way about 40 minutes after arriving, which surprised me as we took our time eating and enjoying our punch. Headed to Nickerson State Park afterwards to work off some of the calories. It was a great lunch out.

A wooden table holds a white oval plate with naan bread, some greens, and a partially eaten dish, along with a metal spoon and fork. In front, a green rectangular plate features three meatball skewers in sauce, garnished with green onions and placed on a banana leaf. A glass of water and a large glass of water are also visible. The setting appears to be a restaurant with a casual dining atmosphere.

pros: -cool unique decor, felt like walking into someone's home -our server (catie, i believe her name was) was very knowledgeable about the dishes and gave us a really good run down about the menu, explaining the tapas style was very helpful and she made us feel really comfortable to order more whenever we wanted to, etc. (her trainee charlotte, i think her name was, was great too! she has a great trainer) other staff members were very kind and helpful as well -food was pretty delicious, unique options compared to other cape cod restaurants, served mocktails too. -cute and clean bathroom cons: i don't really have any i can think of - it is rare for me to rate a restaurant 5 stars, but i really had no complaints! definitely recommend trying this spot out, make a reservation if you can, just in case!

A white plate holds a serving of white rice topped with a thick curry sauce containing chunks of meat and vegetables, garnished with sliced green onions. Several pieces of flatbread are placed on the side of the plate. The dish appears to be a global street or beach food-inspired meal, served in a restaurant setting.

Out of this world. I was afraid everything would be bland, but it was all so flavorful. The shrimp, eggplant, wings, rice, salad- literally every dish was amazing. Drinks were smooth too. Our waiter was also our bartender. He was very attentive. Very cool looking place too.

Quiet on a Wednesday night. Felt like coming into someone's home. Cute gardens surround the outside and the atmosphere is cozy. Food is straight up comfort, with tapas from a variety of cuisines. Everything was tasty and not over spiced. Enjoyed the scallop ceviche with mango and chips with a Thai Martini.

Excellent food and Service…read more It is very busy so get there early going back soon can't wait

According to RESY it was full until 9:00 on this Thursday in summer and that's late for me. And…read morebesides, the system didn't want to process a reservation for 1. But I stopped by midday and inquired, learning that about half the tables are first-come first-served and if I arrived around 5:15 I'd get in with no wait. A bit early but that's what I did. By 5:45 it was completely full and I heard the hostess telling arrivers of 60 minute waits. Very popular! And for good reason. La Bella Vita was as close to perfect as I've seen in some time. The hostess did some quick checking and soon found me a high top table for 4 in the semi-enclosed patio (wood stud walls, metal roof, plexiglass panels keeping out the chilly wind). There are a lot of different spaces here: the patio where I sat, the outdoor garden, or the main dining room with its table seating, the bar, and a counter and stools along a wall. So if you plan ahead and make a reservation you can have your pick. My waitress arrived soon after I was seated, brought water in a pitcher and offered bread which I appreciated. Free bread is getting less common these days unfortunately, and it was good: soft warm Italian with an herbed crust, and a bottle of olive oil and jar of grated Parmesan on the table. My drinks for the evening were one of their specials, Grapefruit Gimlet. Which I suppose is a gimlet made with grapefruit juice instead of - or in addition to - lime? It had just a hint of sweetness, good flavor, icy cold, beautiful pink color, was served in an attractive glass, and strong. My appetizer was arancini: a generous portion of 3 with a nice crunchy outside, served over plenty of good red sauce and covered with coarsely grated cheese and green parsley. The interior could have been firmer - the risotto may have been a little overcooked - but overall quite good. The highlight was without a doubt the main entree: Pork Osso Buco. It must have been a special because I don't see it on the menu now. A spectacular presentation, and enormous! The pork shank standing vertically in the center of the plate atop the mashed sweet potatoes, surrounded by a huge portion of roasted brussels sprouts. The meat was heavily herb-crusted and tender. The brussels sprouts, carefully sliced into halves, were well-browned and had just a pleasant hint of bitterness, and the sweet potato mash was a more interesting choice than the common white potatoes. They don't skimp on portion sizes here, the meat or the vegetables. I ate plenty that evening and took home enough for a large lunch the next day. My waitress was flawless. She checked on me as needed, asking how things were, knew all the answers to my several questions about the food and drinks, had good recommendations, and made me feel welcome and at home. Dessert was the Spumoni Bomba: chocolate, pistachio, and strawberry gelato inside a hard chocolate shell, served with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. Also excellent, all 3 gelatos having great flavor, the shell pleasingly crunchy and chocolatey. The whipped cream was an unnecessary addition and was slightly melty. A minor flaw for a very good dessert, and like the appetizer and entree, a size that was more than adequate. Desserts are not made in house but came from "a bakery in Boston" I was told. Even the espresso was perfect. Definitely a place to return to. There's a large menu including many of the Italian standards - pastas, meat, poultry, and seafood entrees, and pizzas. Plenty of things to choose from. They don't make the pasta in house but I'll forgive them for that.
