Clam bake and Pinocchio
Marge L.

Saw this place after walking home from Seafair. Decided to stop by and luckily it was happy hour. I decided on the clam bake personal pizza and my friend got the Pinocchio. The pies are made to order. They come out fast and fresh. Both pizzas were packed with flavor. I would come again for happy hour.

I was down the street at the lovestruck bookstore and asked for some pizza suggestions. This place came up so we popped in. Service was great. Our server gave us suggestions of places to explore in the area and our food came fast. We said against the window and it's a very nice vibe. We came in for lunch and they had a $21 special where you get a small salad of your choice and an 8 inch pizza. We each did the lunch special and Caesar salad. We had The Spring Lamb (Lamb sausage, mozzarella, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, red onion, chili flakes, and fresh mint on a mint-basil salsa verde base-- needed more lamb sausage, you could barely see it or taste it.) and Pinocchio (Mozzarella, salami, Italian fennel sausage, pepperoni, kalamata olives, Alta Cucina tomatoes, and parsley on a freshly milled tomato base).

Pizza and service was amazing. We sat out on the balcony and it felt like Europe. The bread and olive oil was great too.

Haven't been here in a while. Came for lunch on a Saturday. It was busy, as soon as we got there a line formed behind us. But we were seated pretty fast. It's not the biggest place but it is super cute inside. Service was good, pizza comes out quick. I had the Spring Lamb and loved it. My friends said their pizza was delicious. As always the food is good here.

Man love this place! Definitely a must try. I usually come here for the pear and honey goat cheese, seasonal pizza. Sadly, we just missed it when we got there in December. But we were still not disappointed because we had the clams and the bread to dip with, and that was so good. The staff was really friendly and very attentive. We were there for a long time and they didn't rush us at all. Thanks guys. We'll see you again soon. !

I haven't been to this restaurant since before the pandemic. I remember it being delicious so when my group wanted to go to them again, I was all for it. The food was so good. I had the lunch special which was pizza and a salad. I ordered the Pinocchio pizza with the beet salad. I'm a newcomer to beets and I have to say this was a good salad, with feta cheese, the sauce and the nuts, lettuce, it was a good bite. Very refreshing. The service was great. Our server was so engaging and so thoughtful and patient as our group was deciding what to order. This is a great looking restaurant with the outdoor patio and the bay windows from the restaurant so even though you may be sitting inside, you get all the freshness of sitting outside so I would definitely go back to this place again.

This is the quintessential neighborhood place but better. Usually your neighborhood spot is good because its close and friendly (hopefully). But Mioposto is so cozy (without being cramped), classy-cute (without being kitschy) , and absolutely delicious. A really well curated menu of classics and signature items. A nice cocktail and wine selection and friendly service. Whenever we are visiting family in Seattle we come to this convenient (but off the beaten path) location and feel like we've slipped right back into being local again.

This is my favorite place to stop when I travel though Seattle. The eggplant veggie sandwich is life changing!!! The pizza, hash, and drinks were just perfect! The inside is cute and has a warm feel. The staff are all absolutely wonderful.

Happy hour. Beet salad, salumi finochionna, mushroom pizza. ( photo makes the salad look smaller than it is, it's as big as the pizza)

Solid place, but didn't knock my socks off. Flavors were good. Service was attentive and genuine. I think I might have hyped it up in my own mind too much before actually trying them for the first time. It took me 10 months to try this place since I moved to the area. I went for happy hour on a Saturday. I had the Mushroom hunter pizza, beet salad, salumi finochionna and an N.A. beer. $42.50 after tax, but before tip. That's for just one person...however, the salad was huge. I took half home. (my photo makes it looks smaller, but it was as big or bigger than the pizza). Add another drink and what I ordered could've fed two people. My pizza could've used some more color. .I prefer a little more char on the crust, especially a wood fired pizza. However, my 8" happy hour pizza was closer to 11" inches? So maybe I shouldn't be picky. It was a lot of food. Admittedly, I still get sticker shock from food prices in the Seattle area. So this tends to affect my opinion. I honestly don't know if I could afford to eat here if it wasn't happy hour. And even at happy hour prices...$50 with tip is a lot to spend on myself. $50 can buy a lot of dim sum. oh yeah, almost forgot. The rattan barstool thing I was seated on looks like it SHOULD be comfortable, but it was somewhere between uncomfortable and torture after about 15 minutes. Atmosphere was surpisingly loud between the music and conversation of other guests. But kudos for the Gen-X playlist (Depeche Mode, The Cars, Men at Work...).

Spritz mocktail
Riah R.

Had a perfectly executed mocktail this evening-- the lemon spritz. It was a perfect cold January evening to pop up to the bar for a HH salad and a drink while perusing a magazine. Soft lighting, away from the kids, and friendly staff and other customers made for a delightful escape.

Apple Crostata a La Mode

I've been to Mioposto more times than I can count and always have a lovely time so I figured it was time to leave a review! Staff at this location are so kind and attentive and remember you after only a couple visits. It's just a very welcoming and warm atmosphere which adds to my experience every time. Ambience is cozy and comfortable, both when it's on the quieter side and when it's packed. I love coming here in the winter and when it's colder because of how cozy it is but it's also great in the warmer months! Food and drinks! They have an amazing happy hour which I would highly recommend, it's nice to order a bunch of things and share. Some personal favorites: the ceci, the bread (very good with the clams, which I'm not normally a fan of!), the pinocchio, pepperoni pintura, the spring lamb, the garnet salad, and the apple crostata. The seasonal drinks they currently have on the menu are INCREDIBLE, the backcountry flu shot was my personal favorite of the night.

While I was seated for my table at 6, I overheard people trying to get a table as a walk in and wait times were a couple hours long. We don't go to fancy restaurants all that often, so definitely go for it! We got their staples, their two pastas: tajarin con burro e salvia and tajarin al ragu both half portions. I thought I would like their ragu more, but I absolutely loved their butter and sage so much more. It was perfectly salted and layers of flavors. Maiale Brasato Al Latte was the other main course and it was hearty and flavorful. It was actually hard to finish this meal affter the antipasto and pasta! The staff were so friendly, and our server was attentive throughout the whole meal. Our food came out quickly, which is always a plus in my book. I ordered the Cannelloni Di Pollo, and my partner chose the Cannelloni Di Vitello. Mine had a house-made chicken filling topped with tomato sauce and a touch of ricotta, while his was filled with veal. We loved both! It was fun getting to compare two versions of the same dish. To finish things off, we ordered the Tiramisu, and it did not disappoint. I would definitely return, and I highly recommend.

We ordered burrata salad as an appetizer and was asked if we wanted bread. Of course, why wouldn't we get bread - more on this later. We ordered pollo ai formaggi and linguine di marre as our main dishes. Both dishes were generous in portion. But that's where it stops. The pollo ai formaggi was bland - no real depth in flavors. The linguine di marre came with jumbo shrimps, baby scallops and squid. The slightly spicy tomato sauce was actually very sweet tasting and had no flavor - I had to add lots of salt to make it somewhat flavorful. The Jumbo shrimp was just okay, the scallops and squid tasted like it was from a pre-packaged seafood mix. Service felt extremely rushed for a $$$ cozy, romantic restaurant - we never got our water glasses refilled. When we got our burratta salad and our main dishes I was hoping they'd offer fresh ground pepper, but alas no. I even had an empty pepper mill that i asked to be filled-hint, hint, but they just gave me back one that had I could use. There was couple on a birthday dinner asking if there's any special meal, the waiter instead of letting them know there wasn't just rambled off today's dinner special. He also seemed very impatient when recommending wine. He may have been the only waiter for inside seating; but nevertheless, he gave off a very rushed vibe and just didn't want to stay at your table any longer than absolutely necessary - I think all of us would have been fine him taking more time with each customer since we're not a fast food restaurant. Towards the end of our meal when he brought our check he asked how our meal was and as soon as we said the typical, "It was fine..." he was off before I could actually tell him anything more. What seemed like a minute later he came to check on the bill to see if we were ready to pay - again a rushed vibe. That's when I looked at the bill and found out the bread wasn't free. I don't have an issue of paying for bread, but it would have been nice to let us know up front, given many fine dining restaurants offer complimentary bread. Also, don't expect (fountain) soda refills to be free, it's not. Lastly, when I was paying instead of handing over the payment device to add tip he held it tightly in his hand and would not let go for me - felt like he was brooding over to make sure he got a good tip. For the high price of our meal, rushed service, bland taste, certainly not worth going back, again.

Pistachio was high on everyone's list. The basil sweet cream housemade ice cream was amazing. I could've eaten a pint of it! The negative aspect of the experience that left a sour taste in my mouth despite the delicious food is the strange way we were rushed despite having made a reservation. I was actively eating a slice of pizza with another still on my plate when the server started cleaning up plates literally right around me. It was a very strange experience. This continued for a while, and he asked for our dessert order while I was eating my pizza. He even brought out the ice cream and our check despite us mentioning potentially wanting more ice cream later when we placed the initial ice cream order. He then picked up our final signed check while we were eating the ice cream. This was quite disruptive of the overall dinner experience. So.. great pizza & ice cream, but strange service!

For those short of time and live with no adventure I'll cut to the chase. The food is exquisite…read more For the rest, please read on. This last week while traveling for business to Seattle I had the pleasure of dining at Mezzanote. Their name of course implies it is an Italian restaurant but what you don't realize until you have sat and initiated your meal is that you, regardless of choice are embarking on a beautiful tribute to Northern Italian cuisine. At first arrival, the immediate impression is one of modest presentation but friendly and very inviting ambience. The staff, including our Server Marcus was attentive and had impeccable timing to read the table and flow of those joined in the meal. Check back was perfect and his service support was equally in tune with the other tables on the patio where we sat. Now this is what you have been waiting for... The food and I mean, we had almost one of every item on the menu and every dish was simply delicious. Tastes that were balanced and never overwhelming, but truly inspired dishes that your taste buds understand that the food was made with care and meant to satisfy even the toughest of pallets. Let's start with the house focaccia and ask for the disco sauce to dip your bread. It was a tummy satisfying start but then they dropped the focaccia regala and with the cheeses melted in a medley that left me thankful I was as they say "hungry as a hostage" because the meal had just begun. The next appetizer brought out was the Carote... This medley of carrots smoked with a Chile Honey Glaze left this BBQ born and raised Mexican wondering why ?? And then I had my first forkful and any doubt that I had about the chef creating something sacrilegious by smoking carrots left me, as the flavors were amazing. For a moment I forgot I was eating my vegetables.. where was this when I was a younger man. On to the main courses and the Reginette was first up. This Bolognese was a hearty blend of flavor and subtlety as it wasn't overly anything except satisfying. The Braciola Dia Miaale was a durock pork chop with a rhubar mostarda and salsify puree with asparagus that could not have been better. You didn't have to be a pork chop fan to enjoy this at all. Every dish that arrived was better than the one before. The Bucatini C'Anciuova, Prawns with Calabrian Chile, anchovies, tomatoe and orange zest was a delight and I don't normally eat anything overly spicy. This was a balance of heat with a twist of tang that the orange zest delivered flawlessly. Allow me to share that it is imperative you save room for dessert. Their tiramisu taste as if there is some Italian grandmother locked away in a pastry room kicking these out. They have other desserts to be sure, but this is the star of the show in my opinion. For those of you that are wine enthusiast, they did have a wine list that was impressive. All in all, for those that follow me, you know that it is a rarity for me to give any place I visit five stars from the first visit. Consistency is premium in my book. But as I mentioned to one of our fellow diners. This food is amazing, and the reality is each of these dishes could be served in a five-star venue layered with opulence and still the food would outshine the location. The only drawback was there was no Coke Zero... Damn it ...Turns out though that can be a pretty tough find in the city of Seattle in all the restaurants. For one that does not participate in alcohol or wine, my taste buds were not underserved and I survived without my Zero. This place is a go-to for any Italian yearning for authentic Italian food made with love. That's the only way I can describe just how good the food is. This isn't something that is prepared in volume for the masses. The chef and that team are simply serving with their hearts and it resonates with every bite. I'll be back, again and again. Oh and should you find yourself needing to go to the restroom. Ask for the Disco restroom.. that alone is worth the drive... Lol until next time Mezzanote! Thank you for a wonderful meal.
