We went around 5:30 looking forward to eating a pastrami sandwich and they were all out of sandwiches! What a bummer! We settled for pizza and a salad. The pizza was pretty good. Thin and crispy like I like it. The salad was great too. There's a bit of seating there but it's more of a take and go place. They were good about greeting us promptly and were apologetic about being out of sandwiches. Said it was hit or miss as sometimes they run out and other days they have too much. They did say call ahead to order a sandwich to pick up later if you want a sandwich in the morning.

This spot is a legitimate taste of the East Coast in Seattle. I stopped by Swing Sandwich and Pizza and it hit every mark. The Burrata Slice was perfect: the creamy cheese and crisp crust were a flawless match. The service was great, and the whole experience & decor reminded me of NYC in so many ways. Whether you are a displaced New Yorker or just love a good slice, this place is a must-visit.

Amazing!!! I ordered takeout and it was incredible. The pizza was so good, the dough/crust was the standout and also I love how there's a lot of sauce - so delicious. I had the burrata, salame/peperoncino, and pepperoni/jalapeño. I also got the Steve's special sandwich and the turkey/brie/apple sandwiches. Both sandwiches were good but the Steve's special was the best sandwich I've had in Seattle!

I really enjoyed my experience here. I stopped by for lunch and wanted to try both their pizza and sandwiches. Service was welcoming and friendly. The space overall was very clean. Very cool decor as well. I ordered a burrata slice as well as a caprese sandwich. The pizza was excellent with a delicious sauce. I also liked the contrast between the coolness of the burrata with the warmth of the pizza. Crust was good, with just the right amount of crispiness. I also appreciated that they sell by the slice. The sandwich was good. The bread was tasty and it didn't fall apart while eating. Perhaps a bit too much balsamic glaze for my preference. Overall, I recommend checking them out. I'll come back for another slice.

My friend recommended me to this hidden gem in Queen Ann. Complimentary 2-hrs street parking was available nearby. We were looking forward to trying sandwiches but they sold out before 2pm. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming. The owner and staff were friendly. We decided to order 3 slices of pizza, cheese, pepperoni and burrata. There were limited seats for dine in. Pizza came out quickly. They were delicious with thin crispy crust. We enjoyed every bite of them. When I entered bathroom, it was peaceful with dim lighting and felt like serene early morning. This was the first time I would like to stay more time in the public bathroom. Overall, great experience and we will come back for sandwiches.

I came on a Friday around 6pm and there were not a lot of seats open. The restaurant is not that big, but there was a decent line as well. I waited around 10-15 minutes for my pizza. The dough was nice and crisp on the bottom, but the crust still had some chew to it which I liked. The burrata was very fresh, and I could really taste the olive oil that's used to top the pizza. It is a bit expensive, but it's definitely good pizza.

Overall this is probably one of the best / is the best by the slice pizza spots I've had in Seattle. It's a really small shop and the staff seemed to be really nice and friendly. They have some tables inside but it got packed fast and we sat outside at some tables at the entrance. Overall both slices were really good and solid, I liked the sauce on the mushrooms and thought it added to it. I'd def come back

The pizza was very good, especially for the price. There was a generous amount of burrata on my big slice of burrata pizza and I'd definitely order it again. My partner got the pepperoni and he really liked it. I think their sauce and crust also stand out as especially good. The service was efficient and polite. They informed me the were already unfortunately out of sandwiches at 2:30pm, which was a bummer but we really enjoyed the pizza! It's a little place with several indoor tables and two outside tables if you have your dog with you as we did. I def want to come back and try the sandwiches!

Caprese sandwich

After walking away empty handed on a Sunday afternoon sellout, I managed to order a Caprese sandwich on a Wednesday night. The friendly owner went into the corner and sliced up a loaf of bread. Swing is so confident in their bread that they only lightly warm instead of full-on toasting the sandwich. This is the right call. The focaccia is decadently fluffy and perfectly complimented by the cold stack of fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, arugula, and pesto. These are not the largest sandwiches but they hit the spot. While I enjoyed my sandwich, a group sitting next to me raved about the pizza, of which they tried every flavor. I'll be back to try slices of that burrata and truffle goat myself, if I can bring myself not to order another sandwich.

Burrata pizza soooo good. Pepperoni, basic.

Ordered the half pepperoni / burrata pizza through DoorDash and when it arrived, we had to reheat it in my trusty Breville oven as it was already cold. The pepperoni was very standard but the burrata pizza was so damn good, I had to text someone about it just to share my new discovery. It might be my new favorite pizza in Seattle. Think of it as a super enhanced Margherita pizza.

How I heard of this place: This newer pizza and sandwich shop opened up just down the street from our friends and we were eager to give it a go. When we visited, they surprised us with a selection of sandwiches to sample. Type of cuisine: New York style 18" pizza pies, and a selection of three sandwiches made to order. Ambiance: Quaint and cozy, we took our order to go, but there is limited seating on the sidewalk patio just outside, as well as a few tables for pairs of dining customers inside. The space is vibrant with bright pastel walls, chairs, and windows all around. The kitchen is small, minimalist, and sufficient to prepare the excellent menu. Owner is friendly, smiley and happy to welcome patrons. What I ordered: We selected one of each of their three sandwich options, and are eager to return for their pizzas, too! The Caprese ($15) is loaded with mozzarella, pesto and tomatoes. The Italianish ($15) is full with meats/salamis, greens and a red pepper pesto. The Turkey, Apple & Brie ($14) is robust with thinly sliced green apple, a plethora of thinly sliced turkey and greens, along with the brie. What I loved: Each sandwich was so good, it was difficult to pick our favorite. The Caprese was the best our family has ever had. The turkey was light, refreshing with the crunchy, juicy apple slices. The Italianish full, slightly spicy, and wonderfully perfect. Why I loved it: The bread is fresh and thin, which makes it easy to enjoy all of the vibrant and fresh flavors within each sandwich. We truly loved every bite and wish we had more - although there was plenty to satisfy. Cost: Average

I got the special sandwich and it was better than I had hoped and is now one of my favorite sandwiches in the city. The bread is soft and moist, and the meats, veggies, and sauce are perfectly balanced.

They even have swag!

For a place that's been open less than a week, Swing is doing great. We tried two different pizza slices: the Burrata and the Pepperoni. Both had a nice crisp crust. The topics were good, and the burrata was amazing - large and fresh. We also had the Sandwich, the TAB - Turkey, Apple, Brie - with hot Honey, but I strongly suspect there was also some mustard on there. I suggest they disclose that. As for this sandwich, copious amounts of the ingredients! See photos. Really excellent. Workers were super friendly and helpful. Do we need a new pizza place when there's Via Tribunail, Olympia, Domani, Desi, Zeeks and Cornelly all within a 10 minute walking radius??!! (Not even counting the Masonry or Big Marios) I'd say YES, the more the merrier. Each shop has its own vibe, and Swing has Sandwiches. For a place open for a week I think it's funny they already sell Swing merch like a tote bag. I liked the 40s music in the background as well as the clean seating inside and out. Questions: Will there be more menu options in the future? Are the sandwiches pre-made? Is your logo designed by an AI image generator? See you again, Swing.

It's the kind of place where you settle in, sip something cold, and feel like the night's off to a solid start before a concert at the Moore. The salad came out looking vibrant, but the flavors didn't land. The olives took over the whole bowl, and the seasoning felt off and I couldn't pinpoint it. Fresh ingredients, such as the peas were the best by far but the balance just wasn't there. The pizza was fine, not bad, not memorable. It didn't leave you thinking about it later. The employee who eventually helped me was nice, but the overall experience still didn't feel welcoming or attentive. Over several visits, the service has just not matched the quality of the food. In this economy, it's truly a blessing for businesses to still have loyal customers coming through the door and wanting to support local spots. At the very least, customers should feel welcomed, appreciated, and taken care of when they walk in. I genuinely hope they improve the service side of things because the food has potential, the bar vibes they've created are pretty cool as well and I'd love to be able to give this place a better review in the future.

Upon arrival after 9:00 pm on a Tuesday, we asked to set in one of the booth but they said no because of their strict policy for the booth the used x 3 or more people. Meanwhile, all 4 booth were empty. The kind waitress then offered to move us to the bar booth if something opened up, we kindly agreed and simple went on with our night at different table. While on the table my friend picked up 3 small little flowers from the base and said happy birthday to me, and I put the little flowers on my hair, then I told the waitress I hope you don't mind, my friend gave this little flowers from the table it is my birthday, to which the waitress replied happy birthday, I have no problem with that!. Then comes the manager, and tells me sarcastically, that is a cute flower but it is not yours to take, you should have asked permission anyways, I told him with a smile, but is my birthday and it a tiny flower may I keep it? He stated no, because other costumers will come in and there are no flowers in the table. I told him to replace it with another from another table and he said No give it back now please. It is not yours to take!!! Me, already feeling unwelcome and missed treated, yet still stayed but couldn't even finish my pizza because of how upset I was. I told my friend I wanted to leave. After closing the tab, I walked upfront and waited for my friend. Upon walking outside, the managers comes after us screaming "hey give me back the flower" you took it, at this point I was still walking ahead on my friend and I can hear the manager yelling "she stole it" give it back now, she is a thief, you come here to steal is that it? I repeatedly, told him I didn't take it and even open my purse and told him to come search it, but he stormed back in while insulting and yelling to me IN PUBLIC! - I was deeply humiliated in front of absolute strangers. I didn't see my friend taking the flower either, and if he did, he never gave it to me otherwise, I would have throw it at his face. The luck of hospitality, professionalism, and simply compassion and dignity from this person is Absolutely Unacceptable. I was treated with far more respect and the Four Seasons (and they did give me flowers), than this ridiculous place. It is a shame that the owner would allow someone like this to be the front of the business. And I feel deeply sorry for their employees to have to endure this person as I saw on their eyes the embarrassment they felt. I deserve nothing else but an apology for the way I was treated. I too work in hospitality, I know what is like to provide costumer service providing healthcare and never in my wildest days would I ever treat anyone with such disrespect and unprofessionalism. I recommend this person to be replace or re train. Otherwise it will only affect the business.

They are the nicest people ever! So friendly and accommodating and always smiling. Their pride in their restaurant really shows in their care of the food and customers. I had the infamous meatball sandwich and my wife had the chicken carbonara. They gave us each a slice of their pizza for free as they had a bit extra from one that just came out of the oven. The food was prepared in front of you which is always interesting to watch and the charming brick pizza oven was directly in front of us so we could watch that process as well. Pretty cool. There are a wide variety of pizzas and pastas, desserts and drinks (alcohol too!) available on the menu. We ate at at the bar and had a wonderful conversation with the owners as they bustled about in the open cooking area. I enjoyed my meatball sandwich which had great crunchy crusty bread that held in the contents of melted cheese, red sauce and meatballs. A great choice to get when there. My wife liked her chicken carbonara and as the portion was pretty large, we were able to take some home for later. Extra yummy for me (ha ha)! The complimentary pizza slices were a hit for us as well. Napoli style with thin crust and flavorful toppings. We found out that Goli created the restaurant's design with the face of a woman that looks a lot like Venus in "The Birth of Venus" painting by Botticelli in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence Italy (just sayin'). Except that this logo has hair made of pasta! Good enough to eat! Give this place a try. You'll leave with a big smile on your faces!

We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Unfortunately, the experience is consistently dampened by one of weekend bartenders. As others have mentioned, it's that taller bartender (Alex?) who repeatedly comes across as arrogant and dismissive to us; a less than desirable character trait for a bartender. It's such a pity because that is the sole reason we now lead our groups to spend their money and patronize other establishments instead. Recently we did give Diller another try, but sadly it's the same story and thus this feedback. Hospitality makes a HUGE difference. Bartending isn't just about making a good drink and expecting tips. As someone who tended bar all over Seattle for 23 years, I know how much energy and attitude shape a guest's night. When the service feels cold and passive-aggressively rude, it's hard to feel good about the experience. It's disappointing, because this place has so much potential. Hopefully management considers bringing in weekend staff whose personalities reflect the warmth and atmosphere the space deserves, there are plenty of more qualified bartenders in Seattle that would gladly fill their spot.
