A hidden gem hiding in plain sight! I drove past all the time focusing on the pizza signage but it wasn't until I saw the pre-1979 Iranian flag recently that I was curious to check it out finally and learned they also offer Iranian and Arab style food. Service, value, cleanliness, and flavors were nice. Ordered a mushroom pizza, which has such a nice finish to it because the dough flavor is akin to sangak, an Iranian style bread. Nice cheese blend and texture, baked so well. Also tried the chicken kabob plate, which was nicely flavored with a hint of lemon, fluffy rice, tomato/onion chopped salad, separate house salad, and included grilled tomato & grilled green chili pepper. My only complaint is there's no warning upfront or on the menu about the significant heat spices in the chopped tomato / onion salad nor the green pepper. Approach carefully if you're sensitive to spicy, because it's uncommon for Iranian dishes to have heat like this. The typical Iranian food served in the US does not have heat (usually Northern Iranian / Tehran), so it seems the recipes used here are Western Iranian (and therefore spicier) influenced. read more

This was really really good! Maybe the best Kebab I've had (the Kebab Koobideh) and that pizza was no slacker either. The flavors and food were awesome. This place has been on my list for a while, and I'm so glad that I visited. It is easily one of the best food trucks I've been to in Seattle in recent memory, and in the top tier of Mediterranean restaurants altogether. Order ahead of time, otherwise you will be waiting for a while, but it is 100% worth the wait. The gyro plate with lamb and beef is off the charts. I could go on about the bulgar in this alone - it's the most flavorful base that I've ever had in a gyro plate. The meat is perfectly charred, giving the meal a fantastic texture. It also comes with hummus and tzatziki, so my fellow sauce boiz out there will be content. The only thing missing was some spicy sauce on the side. There is only one way to attack this meal - you have to spread hummus on the pita, and then add a little of everything on top of that. It creates the perfect bite. Even the salad dressing was fantastic! It's some sort of vinaigrette, but I was tasting pomegranate in there as well. The pizzas look fantastic in the pictures, would love to try those next time. I bought pizza at the Nirvana food truck for family and friends in August. Everyone loved the pizza, which was ready at exactly the expected time. I'm looking forward to getting pizza there again the next time I visit my kid in Seattle. There are a few tables right next to the food truck close to the street, but I'd recommend bringing their food home to eat. read more

SO GOOD! My coworker put me on to this truck, which I'd walked by but never thought to try. The gyros are to die for, and just taste super fresh and are seasoned perfectly. Also, the owner/employees are so sweet, and have given complimentary baklava at times when service is running a little behind. (The baklava is also crazy good.) Have been wanting to try Nirvana since U saw their sandwich board on Market street for awhile my neighbor and I walk every week and have often walked by and have looked at the menu. We finally tried them today, actually thought we were going to go the Mediterranean or Persian route. But the Blue Pizza sounded so good we split that and a Caesar Salad. We're both big fans of prosciutto and arugula on pizza this one has blue cheese and I want yo say the arugula is lightly tossed in olive oil and lemon. The brightness cuts through the richness of the cheese and prosciutto. We both throughly enjoyed the crust. We have a pizza place closer to home about nine blocks away but we we definitely come down here over the place close to us. The Cesar Salad wasn't our first choice but it was a wonderful surprise the toasted crumbs they add gives a wonderful texture my friend doesn't like croutons but she loved the toasted crumbs. Love that they have covered heated seating. You can see the wood for the pizza oven. Service was friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely be back saving my last. A hidden gem in Ballard that I can't wait for more people to discover. The red pizza not only looked beautiful, its flavor hit all the marks. Delicious delicious crust with a sweet and buttery sauce. The mozzarella was so tasty and perfectly melted, much higher quality than I usually see. The basil added just the right herby notes. All in all it was a perfect pizza. Plus, we got a caesar salad which came with more cheese than I've ever seen on a caesar. I also appreciate they had seating right by the truck and offered utensils as well. Found this lovely food truck in Ballard! So glad we did! Got the spicy honey pepperoni pizza with jalapeños and a beef and lamb giro! Both were highly tasty and prepared perfectly! The balance of sweet honey and spicy pepperoni and jalapeños atop the wood fired thin crust was phenomenal! The giro meat was deliciously tender and bursting with flavors! Bravo! Delicious. This place was the most unexpected pleasant surprise, and I might now have found my go-to pizza spot in Seattle. It's a food truck that opened not too long ago and operates in the most unexpected place -- on a corner of this random neighborhood street in Ballard, with an accompanying outdoor seating area with a few tables and chairs under a tent. Easy to miss, but so worth the stop. The mushroom pizza... o m g. And the people who run this place are so kind and more than willing to customize or switch out ingredients for you, so we also got one of the red pizzas with jalapeno and pineapple.
