Beef Tikka Gyro and Fries.
Jared W.

A great place to go when you're needing a good gyro. I went here recently with friends because we were in the mood. We were seated immediately. The inside has small touches of Greek decorations which is nice. Not overbearing. Our server was quick to ask our orders but not pushy. The food was really good and came in great portions. Definitely recommend.

The interior is nice, with white tablecloths. Dip Sampler Plate-Served with pre-made pita sliced into easily scoopable portions, this came with small portions of tzatziki, skordalia (garlic potato dip), hummus, melitzanosalata (eggplant dip), and tyrokafteri (spicy Greek feta dip). I am not super familiar with Greek food (which was apparent when ordering), so I wish that the server had pointed it each out when dropping off the food. It was a great sampler! Beef Plate-One skewer of beef with salad, rice, pita, and tzatziki. I was actually kind of confused by this since I had assumed that the beef would be chunks of beef instead of ground beef, as one of the other entrees (beef tikki plate) specified ground beef in the description. The beef was cooked to perfection, as it was juicy and flavorful inside. The rice was a bit on the softer side, but still good. The pita and tzatziki were the same as in the appetizer. And the salad was salad, pretty hard to mess up. Very solid take on Greek cuisine!

So good! Large portion of salad and the potatoes are a nice blend of citrus and savory notes. The plate came with pita bread and a side of tzatziki.

The place had great reviews and while passing by decided to try it out. I actually appreciate a good hole-in-the-wall spots. I think the one thing that stood out for me was their skewer chicken. It was REALLY delicious. Everything else, such as the salad, beef, lentil, etc. were an OK for me. Would I go back? Maybe just for that chicken skewer.

Great food! Awesome and accommodating staff, and just a quaint restaurant. I was in town for a boat show, we stopped in twice so the different salesmen could experience the place. Also tried the hummus and tzatziki. I'll be back whenever I'm in town!

I ordered the Chicken souvlaki plate w/potatoes and salad. Chicken was perfectly charred, juicy, and flavorful. Potatoes were big and refreshing. Salad was nicely dressed. The interior paintings and decor gives Greece vibes Food 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Service 10/10

Delicious. It's so hard to find good Greek food recently but this place is IT. Their fries are crunchy, not soggy. The gyros have well seasoned meat with veggies. It has enough sauce and flavor. It's not a fast food place, it's more of a mini restaurant. You come in and get a menu and all that. The vibe is super cute and I would def come again.

Mykonos is a family-run Greek restaurant in the Green Lake area. There is limited parking in the area so you might have to drive around the block a couple times until you find a spot. We ordered the classic gyro ($9.25) and a side of fries ($3.50). The gyro was big and had large portions with a lot of meat. Otherwise it was a pretty standard gyro with your typical gyro flavors and toppings. The fries were just okay and could've been a little more seasoned. The cashier was very nice and friendly and the food came out in 10 minutes so nothing to complain about there. This place is a good and relatively inexpensive spot that would be good for lunch as well.

Mykonos Greek grill is one of my favorite spots near Greenlake. The place always seems busy with takeout orders which is great to see! Came by here before a walk around Greenlake today. Was greeted quickly and seated by the window. We ordered the spanakopita appetizer which came with two large pieces, the classic gyro (lamb and beef) with crispy fries, and the eggplant entree with two sides - orzo and Greek salad. It was nice that you could select two sides with the entree. The food came out quick and hot. This is a good spot for authentic Greek food. Will definitely be back!

Vegetarian Gyro and French Fries

Had lunch with a friend during the week. It's a small spot and does seem to sometimes have tables outside but is mostly indoor. They don't have a ton of vegetarian options, but the vegetarian gyro was alright. Perhaps too many grilled peppers for my taste vs. a protein substitute or other interesting vegetable. The fries were good and price wise it was very good portions. I did like the tzatziki sauce. The service was pretty slow and you had to flag them down if you wanted anything, so more European style. The inside was bright and clean with some worn furniture, postures of the Greek isles, and clean and well-maintained bathrooms. They were adding some decor to the door as we were leaving too. Good stop for a quick bite.

First impression, it's smaller than most salad that i got and it's really plain. The falafel was ok, very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, a little dry so the salad and the sauce definitely help balance it out. The salad was just plain salad, nothing special. Not sure if I would come back since it was a little wait to get your food despite ordering ahead

This would be a five star review, but they have to simplify their menu. It was actually confusing to find out how much my order was - a main street gyro plate said something like $9 but the order ended up being $12 (menu said it included fries, but the cashier said "would you like fries with that" and added a $3 surcharge when I said yes). Other than that, fries were fantastic on texture and flavor, the main street gyro plate was uniquely appetizing in appearance, ingredients and flavor. Not a thing I would change on that front. The food is well worth the price, even at $12, so they shouldn't feel ashamed about quoting that higher price. If they're in town, you better chow down.

When my food came out, I was pleasantly surprise that my salad came with an order or fries as well and the portions of my meal was gigantic. Everything was made fresh to order and the food was pretty tasty. The chicken was fat and juicy and and they didn't skimp out at all. The fries was a little on the salty side but it was still good. I manage to eat the entire thing but ended up not being able to eat anything else the whole day. Service was standard. I'm not sure I would call this place a Greek place but the food is tasty overall.

So you can imagine how pleased I was that Athena's was at the event. But the food was very disappointing and not something I would eat again. I ordered the Greek Salad with gyro meat, which cost me over $12 with tip. Once I got my salad it didn't look appetizing. I was surprised that the salad is made up of iceberg lettuce versus romaine, which I normally find with Greek salads. And since it came with cabbage and carrots I can only assume that the lettuce came from a mixed bag. That wouldn't be so much of an issue had some lettuce not been wilted or turning brown. Not amused. But what may be worse was the overcooked and heavily salted gyro meat. Not only that, but the gyro meat was very thin, so I do not think it was a rotisserie cook and shaved off like how gyro meat is normally made. I cannot believe I wasted $12 on this. I will not be eating from Athena's again.

This is a lively place, always filled with a lot of upscale looking customers. So the atmosphere is quite loud, but fun in a buzzing way. We were seated quickly, as we had reservations. Our server Charlie, was engaging, friendly and on top of things. We ordered the shared dips---olive tapenade, eggplant, hummus, tatziki with some warm pita triangles. They're all good and a fun way to start the dinner. We each had kebabs---lamb, chicken and mushroom. All good, moist and tender all poured with a jig of ouzo on a hot skillet. The onions in the bottom get browned and crusty, so good to eat. One had a lamb burger which looked juicy and served with delicious mound of fries sprinkled with rosemary. Food here has always been awesome. Skipped dessert as we had homemade cookies to eat at our next stop.
