We've eaten at the Mt. Baker restaurant several times. They have an amazing Caesar salad, and we've had several of their pizzas, all of them were fabulous. I love the Le Patate Con Tartufo aka Truffle and potato pizza SO GOOD. We love wood fired, Neapolitan pizza. I don't think this type of pizza passes for Neapolitan, but is on an excellent crust The drinks are well versed too. The lunch pizzas are THE perfect amount for lunch. We've also had great service here the 2 or 3 times we've sat down for a meal. We love in the summer how the windows are open, and we love the atmosphere of this neighborhood place. read more

This is becoming a really nice neighborhood joint. It's probably not a place I'd go to for a formal dinner, but for lunch or to grab a bite to go this is a great place. The vibe is coffee house informal, with wooden tables and free wi-fi. So it's a good hang. The Sandwiches are delicious, served on fresh Ciabatta and toasted in a brick oven. The meatball sandwich has just the right amount of sauce and zip to it. The mushroom (Del Fungo)Sandwich is like a really fancy garden burger with sauteed mushrooms, current and goat cheese. This place is run by Chow Foods who also own many other well known Seattle restaurants like the Coastal Kitchen and the 5 Spot. And like those places the service can be a little uneven and slow, but usually friendly. I don't mind that so much in a place like this, but if you're in a hurry for lunch you might want to call in your sandwich order. read more

Revisited Mioposto with my son this afternoon. It's been a decade since I last visited - the son was still in an infant car seat! This part of Mt. Baker is so beautiful in the fall with its massive trees, greenbelt, and nearby playground. Clearly Mioposto has remained the neighborhood anchor - lots of folks there having brunch, lunch or coffee and treats. We shared a quattro formaggio wood fired pizza where the four cheeses were mozzarella, fontina, gorgonzola, and grana. Interesting finishing touch was the lemon zest. Shareable six slices for $12.75...very reasonable on the level of Veraci or Tutta Bella. No root beer available, but had a vanilla cream soda instead. We also got two chocolate chip cookies to go - delicious. The place was a bit slammed, so there was a wait at the register to pay our bill before attending a cello concert at the nearby Mt. Baker Community Club. Only two women working the entire restaurant, covering the register, the phone, barista/bar duties, taking orders, bringing plates out, and busing tables - good grief! I hope folks tipped them well for their efforts. But that's most likely why they are still in business with all tables but two totally filled. I found this place by the stellar reviews on yelp and since its close to my place, i decided to give it a shot. This little restaurant isnt the biggest, they don't take reservations for smaller parties, and they do get quite busy so I'd recommend coming in slightly off hours. This place has a really cozy neighborhood cafe/restaurant feel and the service has been wonderful every time I've went. Personally, I'd recommend getting the pizzas as they are the best I've had in WA. It is slightly pricey, but its totally worth the cost. The pizza comes out with the nice thin, slightly browed, crispy delish crust from a good oven. I recommend the pizza with squash & the white clam bake! I came in for brunch one day, and I'd say the brunch items are a bit overpriced for what you get, but thats just my opinion. Overall, I find it hard to order something other than pizza here since its too hard not to get it, but I'd definitely come back to try the other dishes! Mio Posto is charming beyond words. This gem is nestled in Mt Baker on a corner. Its small but has a lot of seating and doesn't feel crammed somehow. I love the cute table along the wall next to the bar... You can check out everything. The music and lighting are pleasant. The twinkle lights around the windows at night are a nice touch. Would be a great place for a date or dinner with friends. Feels like a treat but is affordable. Happy hour pizza is 6 bucks and delish but the beet salad is where I wish there was another star. It is SO good. I ordered one with chicken on top trying to be healthy. I would eat this salad over pizza any day of the week. The romain with beets and the goat cheese... Yum!! This wonderful restaurant has a neighborhood vibe and superb Italian food that reads "casual" but is upscale in what the chefs do with something as seemingly simple as dough. Always on my mind when I order -- the eggplant & mozzarella appetizer, the pizza formosa, the clams roasted in the pizza oven, and the tiramisu. I've been to Miopostos all over Seattle and I admire the consistency of very high quality food and service at every location. read more

I have been going here regularly for at least 4 years, and every time I go, the place just feels so beautiful, and welcoming. The space itself is gorgeous. I've tried nearly all the items on the menu, and for me, the standouts are the rib eye, which is simply luscious, and cooked to perfection every time, and their pizzas. My long running favorite is the batate con tartufo, however, I modify mine slightly. I have them add grana and a bit of extra Gorgonzola. Trust me, it's so delicious. They make the most consistently beautiful food I've ever had, and their staff is friendly, and involved. Oh, and their wine and cocktail game is STRONG. We had a pizza with clams and pancetta, a roasted chick-pea appetizer (CeCe), and a caesar salad. I'd have appreciated more garlic and anchovies in the salad, but the pizza was divine, and the martini I had with it was dry. Came across this little place while in the area for a work related training. What a find! I came with two co-workers and we all loved the space, the food, and the service. Although the place is small there is ample seating. The decor is absolutely lovely... Especially the artwork. This is the kind of place I wish Olympia! We were a bit pressed for time and unsure of whether or not we would be able to finish lunch before we had to go. The food came out pretty quickly and it was delicious! I had the roasted beet salad with chicken added... Wow! So. Freakin.' Good. Co-workers were equally pleased with their choices... A calzone and a sandwich. Our server, Ben, was awesome! I absolutely loved their brunch! Found this place after searching for new brunch spots and decided one morning to give it a try. I am so happy I did! Let me start off by saying their brunch selection is delightful. I ordered the coppa caprese egg sandwich and the panenata and both were incredible. The caprese sandwich was my favorite, it's really hard finding good breakfast sandwiches, but it left me wanting to come back every single day. The panenata was just as wonderful sweet with cinnamon, powdered sugar and maple syrup but savory with the pancetta. It is kind of busy and loud during this time but I expect that everywhere during brunch. Can't wait to go back and try more. read more

The OG location in Mount Baker is a recent discovery as I venture back into post-quarantine dining and has quickly become one of my Seattle favorites. Great place to meet a friend or two after work, the happy hour food menu is terrific, with smaller pizza pies priced at just $7. Indoor seating is varied, accommodating both large and small groups. Outdoor patio off to the side of the restaurant is a bit more tight, but fantastic for people watching. Service is friendly and prompt. Everything I have tried here, I would order again. I have only done take out since lockdown and choose carefully by how the restaurant is following safe guidelines for COVID. They are doing it all right!!!The ordering was easy on the website. This is my spot for coffee and a snack when I am in Mt baker. I enjoy their coffee, its stronger than most places including Starbucks. I've also tried the several of the breakfast entrees and they were yummy as well. I had their pizza once or twice but wasn't impressed, I thought it was average and the crust was so thin it was almost non-existent. Sometimes they are too crowded and it takes forever to get your food. Even when it's not too busy it still takes them forever to bring the food out. Coffee: I have high expectations of any Itallian place serving espresso. They burned the foam on the cappuccino and the latte was just ok. Have had way better. Staff: neutral or indifferent. Not much to comment on other than their obvious dislike of working a morning shift on the weekend. Understandable I suppose. They did warm up a bit as the meal went along. Breakfast pizza: ok, but nothing to get excited about. Good ingredients but a monotone salt flavor over a spicey chili oil finish. Could be much improved with some herbs and a touch of garlic. Fancy Italian french toast: a nice idea with muddled results. Was hopeful because the presentation looked so messy I assumed it would be the bomb. Anyone could make this dish so I expected some flair... ended up kind of bland. And I didn't quite get the idea behind baking the pancetta into the otherwise sweet bread with apples. Overall this is a charming location and neighborhood spot, but the breakfast could easily be improved on. read more

I seriously can't give high enough praises for Mioposto... and this location specifically. Amazing food, PHENOMENAL service, ample parking, happy hour 7 days a week, and a lovely ambiance. What more could you want? Great for family outings, business meetings, first dates, second dates, all dates :) I've brought at least 10 different people here and Rachael (my usual server) remembers all of their names every time and impresses each of them haha. My favorite menu items: The Shakshuka, their spicy bloody mary, their antipasto, and above all else, their Tohu Sauvignon Blanc (my all time favorite white wine). Best gourmet pizza place in Seattle, easily. Also a fantastic breakfast. Edit: Order their 8" pizzas, NOT their 12". I went back and got the bigger one and was disappointed to find out it tasted NOTHING like the 8" one I had. The crust and base bread was soft and soggy. The placement of ingredients was inconsistent and light on some of the more rich flavors that were absolutely necessary to balance the taste. I'm going to go back and try an 8" pizza again to ensure the quality of that one. Maybe I just got a freakishly good version of their pizza. Regardless, management should really look into mimicking their 8" pizza qualities in their 12". I came here, originally, for the Panenata. I saw a picture on this Yelp page and was immediately sold. It's this frankensteining of french toast, bread pudding, bacon, eggs, and cobbler, and it works phenomenally. It's these baked chunks of bread with egg and pancetta baked in with, apples, cinnamon, powdered sugar, and maple syrup over the top. It's easily one of the most unique breakfast dishes I've ever had. It's like eating breakfast and dessert at the same time. I recommend NOT pouring the syrup over the dish. Dip each bite in, so you don't get it soggy. Not eating it with syrup is this crazy salty sweet flavor that does work, but I prefer it with syrup. It's much more savory sweet that way. The real winner was the pizza though. I got a Le Patate Con Tartufo (potato w/ truffle pizza) and wasn't really expecting too much, but I wanted to add this place to my ranked pizza list since I was here. I got it to go and wasn't intending to eat it until later, since I was STUFFED from the Panenata. However, I had to take a bite while it was still fresh and immediately after doing so, my eyes literally widened. It was one of the best pizzas I've had in my life. I don't usually like gourmet pizza that much, but WOW, this was fantastic! The tang from the garlic and cheese mixed with the savory comfort flavor of the potatoes and the sweetness of the truffle and red peppers. Oh man. Heaven on !@#$ing Earth. The crust was glorious too. Crispy and flavorful while not diluting the pizza itself too much. I forced down one slice and saved the rest for later. Even cold, this pizza was just as good. I don't even really like cold pizza. I reheated two of the slices and they maintained their original flavor perfectly. That never happens. This place officially takes my #2 spot for best pizza in Seattle. The only thing keeping it down from #1 is they don't do traditional pizza, which is a far more repeatable experience than gourmet. Both because of how rich of a flavor it is and how expensive it is ($20 after tax/tip for a 12"). That said, they do $7 (pre-tax/tip) 8" pizzas during happy hour. Well done Mioposto. Love, love, love Mioposto. Fantastic salads, our favorites are the Caesar, the Arugula and the Milanese. All use fresh ingredients and have great flavors. For sharables, you cannot go wrong with the clams, meatballs and the Antipasti. But don't get filled up as you still need to have some pizza or the amazing lasagna. The Spring Lam pizza is so flavorful as is the Pinocchio and the Egg and Pancetta. All are amazing. Still need to try the Rib Eye. A great wine list and beers on tap. I am housesitting down the street and my roomate and I popped in for breakfast this morning. I ordered the breakfast hash, and he the Shakshouka (spelling?) with a side of hashbrowns. Food was decent. The location and atmosphere and service were great, food was just ok. I would be curious how the pizza tastes, and would be willing to try that but with a gluten allergy, italian places dont usually cater well to me. I was impressed that they brought hot sauce with breakfast, and no ketchup in sight, in fact, they dont even have it! Cute spot though. Glad we stopped by. Ill update if I ever get to try that pizza, but if you have a gluten allergy they do list the allergens on the menu which is nice. read more

On a thin dough was smeared 2 teaspoons of red sauce and 1 ounce of mozzarella cheese ((Top 4 Basil leaves. I wanted pizza, not dough..!! Why do you save so much on customers? Then they brought me a Caesar salad in which the croutons were huge, and gestie, it was impossible to bite... The service was good, but does service play a role? If your looking for authentic Italian, then your looking at the right place. Very limited seating but worth the wait. The place was super warm due to the brick oven roaring away. The place is clean and the staff is pleasant and pretty attentive. Service was 4of 5 stars. The beer on tap was delicious. I ordered the polo sandwich and couldn't get enough. Tender chicken and the bread was amazing. I didn't order the pizza, however a few of my friends did. They cleaned their plate. A friend brought me, (along with two other friends) to Mioposto, which is in her neighborhood, for lunch this week. Everything was fantastic. Service: The two servers that we had were prompt, friendly, and answered our questions from the menu. Ambiance: A beautiful space with large windows that look out into the beautiful Mt. Baker neighborhood and the park on the opposite side of the street. Comfortable tables spread across the space with a vintage feel - lovely. Food: I had a gluten free pizza that was definitely way above average. The dough was not sweet, (as it is usually with gluten free pizzas because of the almond flour) and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. The rest of my party loved their food as well.
