Love this place! Great neighborhood spot with the friendliest staff ever, and delicious food. I tend to sit at the counter on lunch breaks if I can get away, and am always appreciative of how they get their hustle on to make your lunch hour that much better. At first I wasn't impressed by their menu because the pasta options seemed pretty limited. I'm so glad I still went!! My sister opened their entrance door and we were instantly welcomed by the fresh aroma of basil and fresh tomatoes. We tried "La Bianca" and "Zucca Balsamica", both great and flavorful pizzas! We ordered eggplant Parmesan -- which came with bread and a side salad -- caprese salad, and a meatball sandwich. All delicious! The bread they make is wonderful but we thought it soaked up meatball juices a little too well and got soggy. The eggplant Parmesan was simple in a good way. Lots of fresh-tasting tomato sauce and savory cheeses. I was expecting the eggplant to be a little less watery as well, but that might have happened upon the drive home (reheating my leftovers on top of the stove lent a nice crisp). Solid pizzeria, not sure if it's worth the trek from some other very good pizzerias (Tribunali) mostly. Disliked that they had few vegetarian / pregnant food choices (most pizzas have cured sausage and meats with nitrates and the fresh mozzarella is unpasteurized). TLDR: Looks like a great place for al fresco brunch; solid pizzeria not ideal for vegetarians or pregnant people. Order the quattro formaggi pizza and don't forget the apple crostata! ======= Items Ordered in Order ======= * Con le Patate Pizza - 4 stars: Nice and truffly, not as heavy as other potato pizzas I've had because the potatoes were thinly sliced and cooked perfectly through. * Quattro Formaggi with tomato sauce- 4 stars: A delicious take on a traditional 4-cheese pizza because of the lemon zest, which surprisingly worked. * Zucca Balasamico - 3.75 stars: Also really good but IMO the butternut squash was a little too overdone and the pieces too large, and overall the pizza was more on the sweet than the savory side. Good, tasty, and a nice complement to the other pizzas we ordered. * Apple Crostata A La Mode - 4 stars: The crust was fresh, puffy, perhaps deep fried? A little too oily for my taste and heavy on the crust to apple ratio, but overall I really liked the flavor and would order it again. * Chocolate Mousse Cake - 3.5 stars: Standard, good rich, soft decadent 2-layer chocolate cake with a chocolate frosting. I expected more mousse, but overall a good option if you're in the mood for chocolate. * Beet Salad - 3.5 stars: Medium sized portion was a good size to split between 3 people. Mioposto is located on the corner of a cute neighborhood in south seattle. We came here on a Sunday around 11:45a as a party of 2 and did not have to wait for seating. The restaurant was about 1/2 full when we got there. They have tables throughout their restaurant but also 4 spots of high top window seating at the front. We got seated by the windows which was perfect on a spring seattle morning! You get to people watch as you eat too because there's a cute park right across the street. They have a brunch menu available so of course we went for those options. The waiter was really kind to walk us through the menu and I thought it was cool that everything was cooked in their fire oven. We ended up getting... -THE BAKER - kind of reminded me of a shakshuka and i'm not entirely sure why it wasn't called a shakshuka because it tasted like and texturally was so similar to one! This dish was delicious and it comes with their house made bread. Their eggs were perfectly poached and the yolks were runny. -MORNING HASH - what is brunch without hash browns? Their hashbrowns are cooked in a skillet in their fire oven to get that extra crispyness. You can get the eggs how you want, we chose sunny side up, one of the eggs was sunny and runny but the other was kind of cooked which was a little disappointing. Pancetta was crispy and flavorful and the arugula pairs well with the dish for a refreshing little kick of flavor and texture. Our waiter also served our food and came with mini bottles of cholula and tapatio hot sauce; this i really appreciated and im sure all condiments/cholula/tapatio-on-brekkie-food friends can relate ;) Overall a great experience and they actually do bottomless mimosas for brunch (i noticed this a little too late!) which I have to come back for next time! Their breakfast stramboli (like a breakfast calzone) sounded and looked awesome (yes i also spy on what my neighboring strangers order...) and I would love to try that next time. read more

Ok, great spot for a family dinner or date! Super loved the small space and intimate atmosphere. We arrived 5 pm on a Sunday and full but still places to sit. Never a wait for a table the whole time we were here. Started with happy hr specials that go to 6 pm every day. Great salads and drinks and small plates and pizza. Casual, Open atmosphere with large windows opened. Came with a group for early dinner including a baby. Food was good though a little pricey. Ordered a few dishes to split. Clam with white wine appetizer- good especially having the rosemary bread to soak the wine sauce with. Spring lamb- tasty. Sausage didn't taste any different from non lamb sausage. I went to Mioposto for brunch this Saturday morning. Shakshuka looked soooo appetizing on the pictures from the fellow Yelp reviewers, so I couldn't just resist the temptation at the prospect of dunking a nice slice of bread into this Middle Eastern eggy, tomatoey goodness. Oh well... In my view, their shakshuka was an unsure 4/5, more like 3.6/5. Whilst all the main ingredients were there, it lacked the characteristics Middle Eastern spices, e.g. cumin or may be a touch of paprika, a more generous sprinkle of coriander would help too. It felt like just a tomato source with some eggs - it didn't have that oomph. As my friend put it aptly, it was an Italian version of shakshuka. The bread was nice, but again it had a promise of the Middle Eastern pitta - an airy, fluffy bread, but seems like an oval-shaped ciabatta. This appears to be an Italian place and by no means they pretend or promise a Middle Eastern experience, so take my emotional review with a proverbial pinch of salt. I was fortunate, lucky and somewhat spoilt when it comes to trying different cuisines so my bar is pretty high. When it comes to the place itself, it has a very nice vibe - this seems to be neighbourhood, family-oriented café (as my friend pointed out, there were nappy changing facilities in both (unisex) bathrooms). We were on our way to the Seward park, so if you are in the vicinity, this could be a cosy spot. Going back to my ramble on shakshuka - this actually made me think, where can I eat a good shakshuka in Seattle? Seattleites, share your secrets! Would I write home about it? Great libations and delicious food. A bit noisy but that the vibe. I'm going back for coffee and breakfast today. There doesn't seem to be much else in the area for so,done visiting without a car. We ordered takeout, so I won't be able to help with a dine-in review, but this location was pretty good as a dine-at-home option! Pickup was easy and we ordered through their website (about 45 minutes on a Friday). We got their bread, watermelon salad, margherita pizza, clam pizza, and another veggie pizza. Everything was pretty good, but the clam pizza and homemade bread were definitely the best of the order. One thing I will note is the cheese they use doesn't seem to melt as well, and I even considered getting some hand pulled mozzarella to top it with for next time we pick up. The margherita was probably my least favorite of the three we got, so I'm not sure I would get that one again. The crust itself is not as crispy as some flash baked varieties I've had, but the dough they use is really good, so it was less of an issue for me. We visited for our first indoor dining and so glad we chose this spot. I had been craving their apple dessert since Covid started and once again it, and the food did not disappoint. But our best experience was with out waitress. I want to say her name was Rachel but I think I am butchering that. She had a glittery sparkly mask on and grew up an hour north of Seattle. We LOVED her. She was attentive, engaging and really knows how to make people feel welcome. We told her we would have had her grab a beer with us if she wasn't working. It's very good to know that the Mt. Baker/Seward Park neighborhoods have a couple of great pizza establishments. I got my first pizza, a Pinocchio, last night from Mioposto as takeout. It was definitely as good as a pie from Flying Squirrel. Before I left the restaurant into the frigid night air, I cracked open the box to check the pizza. I was greeted with the most divine scent ever - a fantastic garlic aroma. I took the pizza home and looked at my Pinocchio more closely. On this 10" perfectly baked thin-crust pie were mozzarella cheese, salami, Italian sausage, Roma tomato slices and two different kinds of diced olives (one dark purple, the other green). Interestingly, despite the garlic aroma, the pizza's dominant flavor was olive. I liked it. I knew I was in for a good experience when I saw the wood-fired oven and the girl behind the counter twirling the pizza dough high in the air and then deftly catching it. I marvel at the talent it takes to do that. What I learned last night is that even though what you might think is cilantro may instead be Italian Parsley. They are both very similar in appearance, with serrated leaves. The help at the counter claims they have never used cilantro on their pizza, only Italian parsley. But the counter guy did acknowledge that Italian parsley has a similar "soapy" flavor to cilantro, so I asked them to hold the Italian parsley. The Pinocchio was perfectly complete without Italian parsley. The ambience is fine here and my pizza was prepared very quickly. I also discovered that they have a breakfast menu, which I would like to try. I did think it was interesting that in another review of Mioposto, written the same day as mine, the Yeep declared that if you don't like unruly children, you should (to paraphrase) take your business elsewhere. Hmmm. Actually, I didn't see any unruly children, or unruly adults for that matter, when I was there last night. read more

I love Mioposto pizza! I had never been to this location before (I usually go to the Bryant location since it's only a couple of block away from me), but I loved the area! The outdoor seating was wonderful too! I tried the potato pizza (I can't remember the official name) and it was AMAZING!! I've tried several of their pizzas and the potato has now become one of my favorites! I also really love the Bianca (all cheese) pizza and have daydreamed about eating one quite often! I tried the lunch special and got the Cesar salad to go with it! The perfect portion of salad and pizza! So delicious! The service is always so great as well. They provide wonderful recommendations and always are so helpful. Mioposto is one of those places that I always feel at home at and I and working on hopefully becoming a regular there! Shockingly awful service overshadows decently good food. This is one of those places just begging to be your favorite local pizza place. We liked the food and kept giving the staff second chances but they always managed to find a way to make it less than a pleasurable night out. They could not make the location any more photo ready--right across from a great park, dogs sitting outside, huge windows that open to a parkway---nor could they write a movie script for worse service. They lose orders, fail to bring your wine until after the meal (despite 2 gentle reminders), give you a salad but no fork, or worst--leave your pizza cooling for 15 minutes within eyesight. The staff to table ratio is more than adequate and its a pretty small place (seats 35-40?) so its just astounding that the service can be so consistently bad. Chow Brothers- you had your chance and now that Flying Squirrel is in the 'hood, you have lost your golden opportunity. When the budget is tight, we are going to spend our pizza dollars there. read more

Cute neighborhood spot, nice outdoor seating, big beautiful windows. Came here for Sunday breakfast and wasn't too impressed. I got the panenata, boyfriend got the breakfast pizza. The servings were large, panenata was big enough to share and very filling but forgettable. The pizza was pretty spicy but didnt have much other flavors and the crust was soggy. Coffee was great. The service was underwhelming, with slightly grumpy employees who gave the impression they were inconvenienced by our presence. Discovered this spot on a lucky drive and was incredibly overwhelmed by the food I shoved in my face. The Pinocchio pizza and Caesar salad were perfect! The crust, the sauce, the fresh veg all layered together so nicely. I experienced utter joy when the food arrived and then complete sadness once it was all resting gleefully in Mah tummy!
