TLDR its coo. More 3.5 than 4. Decided to drive by in the later afternoon to see how the line was looking, and the place had 1 person in it, so made to sure to pop in. Cute little spot with tables so you can set up and work a little, but im not sure if they want ppl in there for long periods of times when they got a line down the street. Grabbed a handfull of things and the overall concensus is that the bagels are pretty good. Some are stuffed like the cranberry creamcheese/gouda (bacon?), some are cut with creamcheese/spread added, and some pastries savory and sweet, and sticky buns! The bagels are solid. Above average and some unique flavors. My 1 thing is to make sure you get your bagels toasted. If you get these to go and cold, dont eat them til you get the chance to warm them up. Nothing is worse than a cold bagel, and the heat helps make them shine, so GET THESE HOT/Toasted when asked. The garlic onion bagel w the spread inside was ok I think i like the guoda/bacon stuffed bagel a bit more, and the cranberry creamcheese was really good. The strawberry shortcake bagel was good, but i was hoping for more strawberry flavor. What surprised me was that the blueberry pastry was super good, and the sticky bun was even better! This is not your New York Bagel type spot or in the realm of Courage bagel. Its uniquely taiwanese style. So, after this experience i would almost say make sure to get some of the pastries and sticky buns over the actual bagels, but if you get the bagels make sure you get them hot/toasted to get the full experience. Taiwanese bagel shop?! Yep that's certainly intriguing and I guessed the reason you'd find looong line in front of the store. No pre-order available yet, but luckily the waiting time wasn't that bad. Plenty of frisky attendants assisting you to place your orders and obviously everyone needed to take some time to make that tough decision being exposed to so many options as the showcase was packed with sweet and savory bagels and croissants along with some sandwiches. They did offer coffee and matcha with fun cream top options. Small warning, dine in space was very limited and almost always fully occupied. If you're feeling outdoorsy, obv there's plenty of parks nearby to just sit and have little picnic. Feeling like we had to try at least one of each, we went for their Everything Bagel with Smoked Gouda for savory bagel, Cranberry Cream Cheese for sweet bagel, Almond Croissant, and Earl Grey Chocolates Chip Scone. All came with fragrant butter aroma and the bagels were perfectly chewy and well stuffed with cream cheese. The almond croissant was as quite peculiar as the almonds on top were crushed into small pieces. I wouldn't say it's the best almond croissant in town but decent enough. The earl grey scone had bold tea aroma and flavor, and the orange as well as chocolate chips gave it great combo of sweet and citrusy taste. The bagel was certainly the one not to skip especially savory ones (I am even a sweet tooth!). The smoked gouda bagel was our creme de la creme; perfect texture, so flavorful, and the cheese stuffing was so so generous that I enjoyed every single bite and still want some more. Their bagels are so fluffy and so fresh! You can literally smell their delicious scent from a block away. They seem like they have a great system and the staff is very receptive. While standing in line, two people came up and asked what the hype was about this place because they walk by it everyday and always see a long line! The hype is just the hype sometimes! I tried Miopane with my mom. She was surprised at how long the line was and was hesitant to wait as she didn't know how long the wait would be. I convinced her, and we waited close to one hour. We ordered the matcha latte, a garlic bagel, and a jalapeno cheese bagel. I love garlic so I thought that was a good choice, and it wasn't. The garlic flavor is too strong. Since it is raw garlic, the smell will stick in your mouth for a few hours. My mom was excited to try the jalapeno bagel and later realized that it hardly had any jalapeno inside. The matcha is nothing out of this world. The size of the cup is small, and the matcha flavor is just not there. They add too much milk to it. People seem to enjoy this place, but I don't think that it is worth the long wait. Seating is limited when it gets busy. Staff is nice and is always ready to answer questions. read more

They just opened this year and going strong with being a hot spot and definitely with a line outside the door. Waited about 30mins and was craving more savory choices and wanted to try their matcha. Had the garlic cream cheese bagel and maple green onion croissant. I was bummed I didn't like the green onion croissant as much as others but it was good. The croissant was flakey and a good balance of a tiny bit sweet and the bite of the green onions but I wasn't obsessed with it. The garlic cream cheese bagel, is delicious! Now if garlic isn't your thing, don't get it but the bagel was a bit airy and chewy and it was slathered with a lot of garlic infused cream cheese. Tried also the matcha pillow. The pillow drinks vs einspanners is that the pillows have flavored foam top, ie, matcha foam on the matcha latte, hojicha foam on the hojicha latte. These are good. Now the line wasn't too bad although by the time I left the line was even longer around lunch time on a weekday. But what stood out is their service. Now I get it's January but it's mid 80 degrees and people are waiting for a bit and the owner/manager came out and offered water. I used the restroom and noticed they had feminine products if needed. Came on a weekday when they open and the wait was 20 mins, must of been my Lucky day! I got a little of every thing from savory and sweet bake goods and decided to try to hojicha einspanner, it peaked my interest! I enjoyed the sweeter bagels over the savory ones but the bagels were much better in the air fryer for a few mins rather than just eating as is. 3 if not heated 41/2 once heated. I would just go for the drinks alone! It was amazing and couldn't stop thinking about it. BUT... the line man. Incredible pastries and drinks! We stopped in before a convention and enjoyed a few bagels and croissants. I highly recommend the pesto egg croissant! It's buttery and flakey with just the right amount of salt. The matcha is not made to be rushed. You can tell everyone takes their time to deliver high quality food and beverages. Despite how busy it was, I appreciated the friendly service and the staff for explaining their popular items and recommendations. There was also someone who was managing the line and checking in on those dining in. Their bagels are sooo soft and pillowy and a must try! - Blueberry cream cheese - a classic! First time visiting here and had a very pleasant experience. Came right before noon on a Friday and there was barely any line. The staff were very helpful in giving recommendations and answering my questions on the bagels. Ordered the blueberry cream cheese bagel, black sesame cream cheese bagel, and roasted tomato with herbs and cheddar bagel. All were great and you can tell the bagels are made fresh daily. I liked the roasted tomato with herbs and cheddar the most. It was also easy to find seating right after ordering. Ambiance is great because there's a lot of natural sunlight by the windows. Came because of the hype - 25 minutes to get in on a Wednesday afternoon and another 10 minutes to order. The lines are long as hell because ordering is very inefficient. When you get to the counter, someone meets you and asks what you want. Because you can't see what's available (bagels are spread out and you can only see what's available as you walk towards the register), person follows you until you walk to register. They should maybe post outside what flavors are available that day? I got 4 bagels because I didn't know if it was worth standing in line again: jalapeño cheese, burnt onion, garlic butter and blueberry. Huge fan of the jalapeño cheese and blueberry but would skip on the burnt onion and garlic butter. Although not bad, just not my favorite. I really wanted to try the black sesame but they were out. Bagels were roughly $7 each but lines and parking made bagels feel way more expensive. I think this place is worth a try but I won't come back until the hype dies down. I don't want to wait more than 10 minutes for a bagel. I would definitely get the jalapeño cheese again and hopefully try the black sesame. 4/5 recommend! read more

All the workers were helpful and friendly. The inside is crowded and seating space is crammed and awkward. Taller stools by the wall would make it easier to eat at. That's where I sat and felt like a toddler trying to reach my plate. Tips for the business Long wait outside in the heat. It would be nice if they switched up which side of the shop they have people line up on. Having the line on Holly instead of Raymond would provide much more shade. Menu lacks detail which creates a problem for anyone with dietary restrictions. After waiting in the long line, you need to try your best to ask at the counter what ingredients are in/on the bagels when instead you can decide while in line provided the details. Not worth the hype/line. I went around 130 on a Saturday and the line was maybe 20-30 min (this was in mid Jan). They were still bringing out fresh items, but the selection of items had dwindled. Having waited in line, I felt like I had to get one of everything that was left. I think that was a mistake because the bagels tasted best same day. Leftover bagels the next day were definitely not as good. Cranberry stuffed bagel 4/5 probably my favorite item that I got Black sesame stuffed bagel 3/5 wanted to love it but it was just ok Burnt onion bagel 3/5 Jalapeño cheddar bagel - 4/5 for my husband. Croissant 1/5 don't get Green onion maple croissant 1/5 I did not like the flavors. I thought the maple contrast with the onion was weird and not tasty. Solid spot for savory or sweet snacks! I've gone when it was more recently opened, came back and found it better than before! I tried their Whipped roasted Tomato basil bagel, whipped cream cheese & Garlic butter bagel, smoked Gouda everything, and Matcha pillow. My ultimate favorite bagel from the 9-10 flavors I've tried in the past and current time is the garlic butter bagel. This bagel has so much flavor and the cream cheese in between the bites makes it fun and balanced. I would go back to get this bagel and the matcha pillow again. The other 2 bagels were decent, but I would probably stick to this one. The everything gouda felt a bit too sharp and dry for me, but it'll be great for Gouda lovers. The tomato basil bagel was ok, it didn't feel too balanced for me (maybe too much dried basil) but I loved the cream cheese bits in between the bread. Staff was very friendly. The crowd control person at the door initiated conversation & provided helpful information & recommendations. As for the bagels, they were fresh & not dense. We tried both sweet & savory. The latter was no doubt better. The mango was disappointing. Instead of fresh fruit, it was more of the dried mango. Hubby liked the blueberry pastry. My wife and I finally made it to MioPane in Pasadena for breakfast this morning! Fun fact I learned: "MioPane" actually means "My Bread" (我的麵包) in Taiwanese, which makes total sense once you try their food. The star here is the bagels, but just know they are totally different from the dense American style. These are super soft, chewy, and loaded with different fillings. We saw them bringing fresh racks right out of the oven, so freshness is guaranteed. We ordered the herbal roast tomato bagel, a twist puff pastry, and a sticky bun. Everything was amazing. We wanted to try the Matcha Pillow drink, but ran out of time (next time for sure!). Heads up: We waited an hour in line and had to park pretty far since street parking was full. We arrived at Miopane and joined a short and excited line of soon to be patrons outside. While we were waiting I pondered the name Miopane. The name Mio is of Japanese origin, and has several beautiful meanings depending on the kanji characters used. In reading about the translations the one that seems to apply here is "three times beautiful!" The word pane has Italian origins and comes from the word "pane" meaning bread. So taken together Miopane, to me, means three times beautiful bread! After sampling several pastries here I can say three times beautiful is short changing this wonderful confectionary oasis! Our time to enter shortly arrived and we were invited inside. There we were faced with the vast array of delights behind the glass and we lost all will power. We wanted to order one of each; and we nearly did! We had a Mango Cream Cheese Bagel, a Black Sesame Cream Cheese Bagel, a Matcha Crumble Bagel, an Everything Bagel with Gouda, a Roasted Tomato with Herbs and Cheddar Bagel, a Burnt Onion Cream Cheese Bagel, and a Sour Cream and Onion Cream Cheese Bagel. We supplemented our order with a Cinnamon Roll, a Tiramisu Croissant, and an Almond Croissant. We also added a Hojicha Latte, a Spanish Latte, an Einspanner, and a Match Pillow. Oh My Goodness! The evidence that all of these were the times beautiful is that we were finished before I realized I had not taken a picture of these delicious culinary gifts. Went there at 12 PM on a Friday, the line was very short and we waited about 5 mins. When we got to the front a worker explained to us the menu and what were the most popular items. The service was great, everyone was very nice and helpful. The pastries themselves were good but not amazing. I think you would love them if you were a bagel lover but if you're just a foodie, they're kinda mid. They were just bagels with interesting flavors and fillings. One of the best bakeries around the SGV area. It is a great fusion of Asian flavors with classic French technique. The lamination of the croissants are so good, nice and flaky and buttery at the same time. My group waited less than 20 mins around 9:30 on a Wednesday. It was definitely worth the wait and the hype. I don't think I would ever wait in line for food. Luckily my husband was around the neighborhood while everyone was at work during weekday and line wasn't too long. Maybe 10 people in front of him. 5 inside building, and 5 outside. He bought 6 bagels no drinks. He said it was around $7-$9 a bagel he said it's better to eat the bagel right away.
