A Must-Visit Cheesecake & Wine Tasting in St. Augustine!…read more What an absolute gem! This small, quaint spot in St. Augustine made our cheesecake and wine tasting such a memorable experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, which made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. The cheesecakes were phenomenal -- truly some of the best I've ever had. My two favorites were the blueberry crumble and the lemon chantillí, but honestly, every single one we tried was delicious. Perfect texture, amazing flavors, and beautifully presented. If you're in St. Augustine and love cheesecake, wine, or just discovering charming local places, this is a must-try. Can't wait to come back!

I was told 9pm at the earliest on the phone, the website said 7:30 at the earliest and when I showed up in person to ask they had immediate seating. In fact, not one other table was taken indoors. We had our entire meal alone, inside this restaurant which is a converted home. Many of the homes in St Augustine are like this, so a home converted business isn't weird. But it is when 10+ employees constantly walk by and you are eating at a somewhat private table. I have no idea what all those employees were doing. We joked that the cheesecake restaurant was a front for another business because the employees seemed so busy, yet no one was there. We also had to laugh, almost the entire menu was sold out. Every person at our table had to order their 2nd or 3rd backup item, most of us completely changing our order. One in our group had the waiter come back twice to tell us they sold out of his item AS his meal was being made. While the cheesecakes were very good and there was potentially a nice selection, I think this location was a bit too odd to recommend to other diners unless you specifically just want cheesecake. If you do, just get it to go.

This small chocolatier brings massive flavor & variety when it comes to their products. Whether…read moreit's specialty truffles, chocolate bars, coated nuts or classic chocolate seashells, you're sure to be amazed. They have fudge, popcorns, brittles & even a variety of chocolate based wine & liqueur. While the delectable scent of fresh chocolate draws you in, the loaded displays around you are sure to keep you there. They've recently undergone some renovations which are finally done & the new store looks great. The floor has really been opened up & they did a great job at utilizing the space. Everything is organized nicely, prices are listed clearly & the store itself is spotless. While it may not be the biggest, it's easy to get carried away here as you look at the deliciousness surrounding you. I haven't personally tried them yet but their hot chocolates definitely caught my eye, they offer a nice handful of varieties. Even the coffee lovers, like myself, are recognized. They have a chocolate-flavored coffee that sounds interesting so I'm thinking about grabbing a bag on my next visit. The chocolate covered espresso beans are also delicious, although I like the milk chocolate ones way more than the dark. Every time I've visited this location the employees are so friendly. They acknowledge you as soon as you enter, they almost always offer help & they're efficient at handling crowds. Customer service goes a long way & they do a great job here. If you're just passing through or staying in St. Augustine then you need to give them a visit. In a world full of mass produced chocolate, it's a breath of fresh air to find a company that cares about serving amazing products. You can even do a factory tour at this location to find out all about their process!

We took an almost hour long drive from south side to Vilano beach to try this restaurant we learn…read moreabout my word of mouth. The restaurant is located in the Hyatt hotel and has complimentary valet parking. We went for a Mother's Day dinner. The ambience was classy with a live pianist and upscale decor. Our party of three shared a Petit seafood plateau with oysters, shrimp, cocktail crab claws, poke tuna, accompaniments. The food was fantastic! We enjoyed CAFECITO-CRUSTED SALMON FILET with creamy risotto, forest mushrooms, miso crema BRANZINO, artichokes, citrus, capers, castelvetrano olives, sauce verde and ATLANTIC SWORDFISH with mousseline potatoes, broccolini, crispy capers, pan jus. Dessert was equally decadent and delicious with a cupcake shaped tres leches cake and dark chocolate treat with berries. It's worth the drive to Vilano beach!

Unfortunately the weather decided otherwise. The weather was terrible and the rooftop closed. We opted to continue with our evening as one of our friends lives in Vilano. I had visited the original restaurant many moons ago but was looking forward to the new location despite it being in a hotel. I am a vegetarian and the options for those are very limited. And I get it. It's a steakhouse. My friends all love steaks. Between the four in our party we had the bread which was out of this world and we ended up ordering a second order, the goat cheese terrine which was tasty, chopped Salad minus the bacon was delicious,Caesar salad for one lady, the mashed potatoes and they were not great, the seasonal vegetables and those were awesome, the Brussel sprouts which were very good but a skimpy portion, a filet steak review was it was ok, steak mofongo and review was ok, and lastly the vegetable pasta and again review was ok. I personally just had the sides as I hate onion and I could not get a vegetarian pasta without onion. The pros are everyone on the staff was wonderful! Bartenders, our server Jonny, hostess, valet guys, etc. The cons are the chairs are cheap and uncomfortable, the space is dressed up a bit for a hotel but still a hotel restaurant, some of the patrons had on shorts and ball caps. For the menu prices a dress code should be enforced and more comfortable seating available. I still want to check out the sunset rooftop and the bread is worth another trip. Other than that, I have other places in SA I lean toward.
