I come here every Monday I can with my boyfriend for trivia night. It's kinda like our thing now. Just saying... team MARCO!! We never have had a bad time or experience. The service and food were great here. We had side salads to start, which were quite large for side salads. The pizza is very filling, but tastes very good. They were generous on cheese and toppings. Disappointed. We thought this would be satisfying and impressive, but it was far from it. We ordered the Veg Out because we're vegan. They did have Follow Your Heart vegan cheese which was great. It comes with a limited amount of veggies.. black olives, bell peppers, tomato slices, onions and then $1.50 for every additional topping. Substituted the mushrooms for banana peppers. There was barely any toppings and LACKED so much flavor. There was the thinnest amount of sauce and we had to ask for more to get through eating out slices. The dough was okay too... there did little a lot of cheese which made us full quickly. For $25.00+, Dominos would have been better! Besides drinks...we only ordered three things: the Bruschetta as a starter; the Elevated Cobb Salad for me; and the Tofu Hoagie for my friend. Five minutes after ordering our waitress returned to ask me if I wanted 1/2 or a whole salad...odd because I thought mine only came as a whole...I said whole. So time passes and no Bruschetta...places is close to empty, but we weren't really in a hurry either. First thing out is my salad...well not my salad. After explaining what I thought I was getting, she realized I had Enlightened Spinach Salad (and a 1/2 one at that). She took it back and I reminded her of the Bruschetta. Next out of my friend's sandwich...right sandwich, but only a 1/2 one. She said she would bring out another 1/2 for him. Next up, the return of my salad...finally the right one. No Bruschetta, but at this point we decided to forget it and just make sure it was off the bill. We're half way through our meal what what should arrive...the Bruschetta! She told us it was on the house for all the mixups. So...good news is the food was great! Would love to go back and try other dishes on the menu, but who knows what we would get! This review is for the amazing brunch we had yesterday at Mellow. Everyone probably already knows what an amazing pizza place this is, but it's even more amazing for brunch! They have tons of fun breakfast options (like grits bowls), but I especially loved the breakfast pizza! Chorizo and egg? Yes please! It's seriously so good! If that isn't enough, they also have $3 mimosas and poinsettias (and some other breakfast beverage I can't quite remember right now). Our service was amazing even though we were a giant, growing party that started as 12 and became 15 for a birthday celebration. Food was hot, drinks stayed flowing, and everyone was happy. read more

I've done dine in and carry-out service at this location more times than I can count and I've always left a happy camper. I love that each Mellow location slightly alters their decor and menu to fit the local scene, and this one does not disappoint. They also have events throughout the week, including trivia Monday nights at 7PM and live music on Sundays. It can be confusing to some when I try to order a dairy-free meat lovers pizza, but this Mellow staff doesn't bat an eye. I just order it with vegan cheese, and they even know to check that I want to keep the parm and garlic butter baste off the crust (yes, please). I'm not Celiac, but you can also make certain pies gluten free if you need to! The calzones are gigantic and delicious, too. If you aren't a fan of their specialty salads, pizzas, or 'zones, just build your own! You can always start with the basics and make something totally custom to your tastes. Can't talk about Mellow without praising their (extensive) beer list. The Abita Purple Haze is a favorite of mine, but they also have a delicious blackberry cider for those looking for something GF-friendly. I'm usually not a fan of chains, but this one feels like more of a local neighborhood joint. Happy to be a repeat customer! read more

I've been following this place for a while. Because they have meat and vegetarian options! I have not had the opportunity to eat there until today. We were in St Augustine and needed to eat so we decided to try it. I got the thin crust Mellow Mushroom pizza it was so super yummy. The garlic aiola was a little bit much for my taste. Be sure and check in on Yelp and get the free garlic knots with the beer cheese sauce! It was so yummy! Hot and fresh! They have a great selection of beers from all over. I highly enjoyed the stone beer from California and the other they had one from Jacksonville Florida. Both of them were very good ipas. The service was great The Price is Right and they have clean restrooms. When you're traveling these kinds of things are important.
