Has a memory like you wouldn't believe regarding locations of moving from and to .. assembling difficult entertainment centers etc.! He really managed the crew and identified early that we needed additional help and another truck. He was able to get his brother to help and acquire another large truck so that we were able to stay on schedule. The entire move was incredible. The movers wrapped everything incredibly well including many large paintings etc. they didn't damage the house we left or the house we moved to or even 1 piece of our furniture! It was very hard to believe actually with the volume and size/weight of many of the items. They were prompt with both moves and showed up at 8am both mornings even after getting to sleep at 3am the night in between moves. Can't thank them enough! Extremely impressed and highly recommend!! So after receiving a few quotes from a handful of businesses, I went with Potomac Moving due to the speed of their response, clarity in communication, pricing and overall warmth and professionalism. In our first phone call to walk though my needs, they were very assuring and accommodating, which is a such a relief in the midst of stress and coordination that comes with planning for a move. They were also always very responsive in the few times that I reached out between the time I paid the deposit and the actual move. A night or two before, I sent at email regarding wardrobe boxes, since I was debating whether or not I should buy and have a few delivered to me. The owner responded quickly, assuring me that wardrobe boxes were tried, true and if I wanted to buy any directly from them that I could. That ended up being a great call, because they were able to properly enforce the boxes so that even the boxes filled with my heaviest coats remained in tact. On the day of the move, the movers were communicative regarding their arrival time. They were also very nice and hard working. I had a few large furniture items that needed to be disassembled and they ended up being quite beasts to tackle. But they worked diligently to break them down. Once it came time to move things to my new place, that was a breeze. One gesture that I thought was just so classy, was the owner called in the middle of the move to check-in on how things were going - I really appreciated that. They took original, painted artwork and put it in a box with other framed pictures and metal pictures without protective wrapping. Despite telling them that I had items in two storage units as well as a single-family home, they failed to adequately staff my move, resulting in time wasted at the storage facility for another truck to show up and insufficient personnel to unload the trucks at my new location. The whole move lasted well into the night because they hadn't adequately resourced my move. Regarding the damage to my furniture, I was told I would be reimbursed a certain amount, and I agreed. It was a fair offer. Then I got another written offer that was significantly below what was originally offered to me. The amount that was supposed to be reimbursed to me? Never received. As I unpack more boxes, I'm finding more damage and shoddy packing. I can no longer recommend this company.

Wondering if they are capable of handling a long distance move? Read on.. I received 4 quotes and felt the most comfortable dealing with Tony @ Dynamic. Some companies want to only do a virtual estimate on your phone and not come in person. He even came out a second time, in person, as I had downsized considerably and wanted to get the estimate updated based on the belongings I had left. They do flat-rate pricing which makes everything a lot easier. Did I mention their prices were also very competitive? A lot of companies see a TV, bed that needs disassembly, etc. and then tack on fees for the boxes, taking apart that particular item, etc. Even for transport up the hill I lived on. The pricing I got was for a 26 ft truck, with another flat price for an additional vehicle. Everything was included otherwise (and I had lots of oddball furniture, multiple TVs, shop tools, etc.). They also do not share your space with other customers. When the move day came, they were really careful wrapping, padding, and getting everything neatly organized into the truck. They had just enough that it overfilled the 26 ft truck. I was worried I would get charged for an additional vehicle, but Rodolfo had the idea of using a trailer attached to the 26ft truck's hitch, and only charged a nominal fee to add that on. Awesome! When we arrived, the crew unloaded in a half day and placed everything where I needed it. There was no delay in arriving--it was literally as fast as they could get there cross-country. If you can believe it, nothing at all was broken or damaged and at this point I'm fully unpacked. They were really accommodating unloading and even got a 300+ lb arcade machine down a basement staircase (not a walkout basement.. and this was a 29.5" wide arcade in a 29.5" wide staircase...), which I was thrilled about since I didn't think it would be possible. Top ratings from me and I would easily trust them to do another move. I've already sent them referrals since the move.
