Was referred to All Awesome Movers on a Facebook group and Gina contacted me immediately after my initial inquiry. She was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient (I changed my destination address once lol). The price quoted was reasonable; I was offered 2 movers or 3 movers (different prices of course). I picked the 3 movers and I'm glad I did! The team showed up shortly after 8a (though to be fair the email said between 8 and 9a). They came with a 26 foot truck, shrink wrap, furniture blankets, tape, and bubble wrap. In all it took about 4 hours to move me from a 2nd floor 2 bedroom apartment to a 3rd floor 2 bedroom down the road. They really are workhorses - somehow they were all able to trek up and down the stairs repeatedly without seeming winded at all (which is incredible bc I went up and down the stairs without anything over 8 pounds yesterday probably 46 times and was EXHAUSTED). All Awesome Movers - Here's all the stuff they moved and then some! - Movers Near Me - Bristow, Virginia

I hired this company to move a very large and heavy dining set and a server, as well as some other items. The guys that came were very polite, but would have destroyed the server had I not intervened. The top of the server was a single piece of slate stone that was incredibly heavy. We initially thought that it was attached to the piece, but when it was tipped to put on a dolly the top started sliding. Despite the sliding, the movers tried to continue to put the piece on the dolly with the slate portion supporting the rest of the piece. I had to stop them, make them put the piece back on the floor, and move the slate piece separately. If they had continued, the slate would have cracked into pieces. They tried a second attempt at putting the piece on the dolly. The bottom of the piece had no cover, so the only thing that would have supported the piece on the dolly were drawers. I had to stop them again before the drawers were destroyed and the rest of the piece was damaged. I have no idea how they could not see that moving it the way they were attempting was not remotely possible. Then they tried a third time, with the back of the piece used as support. The back of the piece was a 1/4 inch thick piece of plywood, which would also have been destroyed had they continued. In the end I had to convince them to carry the piece to the truck by hand, which they did. Unloading was much easier and they handled it well. Again, the items were extremely heavy, they worked hard, and were very polite. But I would not trust them to do a move unless they were supervised for heavy or high value items. read more

Hey All, we just used All Awesome (not to be confused with All Star) Movers yesterday and they did an excellent job. We hired four movers and they worked steadily clearing our our 10x20 storage unit in under an hour and setting up our home in three hours. We paid in cash and it was about $900, not including tip. They were nice, spoke and understood clear English, were respectful, and most importantly didn't damage anything in our brand new house or the furnitur despite some narrow turns. They even laid out blankets to walk on and cover the posts in the stairs. They didn't hit any lights either. We were extremely impressed and would use them again. I was debating between them and All Star but got a lot of PMs persuading me to the right direction. All Awesome movers did a FABULOUS job with a local move. They showed up earlier than expected but that was ok. That might just have been a miscommunication. Better earlier than late. The whole process did take longer than I expected BUT the movers wrapped everything. I did not have to watch over them as they loaded and unloaded. They dismantled what needed to be dismantled and put it back together and moved it where I wanted it. They worked hard! I was impressed. They went above and beyond in helping me. When you're looking around for a moving company I think most of us make several calls before deciding on the "one." I would have likely spent a lot of time that I really don't have right now making those many many calls. But after reading Michael T's review of All Awesome Movers in this forum I thought I'd give All Awesome Movers a shot. I needed 2 moves: one to a storage unit and then to the house we're renting. On Tuesday the 14th 2 wonderful professional guys came and loaded the truck with at least 30 boxes and a couple of heavy items and etc. for the move to the storage unit. What I think makes moving 30 or more boxes even more horrific is having to lug them down 4 flights of stairs and then go back up those same stairs to get more of them. YIKES! I honestly don't know how the guys went up and down the stairs lugging box after box without breaking into tears. To make a long story short this company was awesome from the people like Anthony who work there to the very very reasonable prices. read more

I hired a four man crew and a truck from All Awesome Movers. The crew arrived on time. Each of the guys was very nice and they all were hard workers. I had a great experience with All Awesome movers for my recent move. The office staff was a pleasure to speak with and quick to respond via email. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of a day of miscommunication. The team was booked to complete the last of my packing. They did not know they were meant to do that when they arrived and had no supplies. It was resolved and someone arrived with supplies eventually. They did a good job with the packing and the move. The pros: They were cheap and they worked quickly. The cons: still missing items from my move and several things got broken. My wooden filing cabinet got broken and they did try to take it to fix it, but when they brought it back it was so flimsy it wasn't usable. My expensive air hockey table has a hole right in the top and it's not usable either. The legs for my chaise lounge never were found so that's trash now too and will have to be replaced. All in all - if you don't own nice things, this might be the moving company for you. However, if you want your items to be handled with care, I'd go elsewhere. read more

I have to admit, I was quite concerned before the move. No Yelp reviews, prices almost too good to be true, and so easy-going that it was more a red-flag than a comfort. But at the end of the day, everything went smoothly and professionally. First, the red flags: * The estimate seemed too low. In part, this was because the initial quote didn't include the travel fee ($99), I actually felt better about seeing it. * A bit slow on email. In retrospect, I would have called instead of using email to get things set up. But then the good news. * They showed up on time. * They came with a big truck (we moved my mom recently, and the movers came with too small of a truck, ugh.) * They had ample blankets, straps, tape, etc. * They were quick and professional, worked together well as a team, and didn't smoke. * The move took almost exactly what we estimated -- roughly 2 hours to pack, 90 minutes to drive, 90 minutes to unpack. * No surprises. At one point, we were going to rent a U-Haul and just contract people to help us load and unload (it was moving big furniture, not a full home move), but I'm so glad we didn't do that. Given all the horror stories I've read about movers, I was so pleased that this move went so smoothly that I wanted to make sure they had at least one Yelp review. read more

We had to hire movers at the last minute and I couldn't be happier with our choice. All Awesome Movers showed up on time and walked the house with me prior to loading. They wrapped items that I wouldn't have thought to wrap and took great care of everything. Even when the truck was full, they worked with me quickly to find a second truck and get it loaded as fast as possible. We only had one accidental causality (a lamp); no big deal. My wife and I selected this company in Nov 2013 because they were highly recommended. Boy, what a mistake that was. While they were moving I could tell they weren't wrapping things as they advertised. Once we arrived at the new house and they got unloaded, I wanted them gone. They broke my TV stand, had dents and white paint from where they banged the walls on my son's bed, had chips on my dresser and didn't install my small sofa completely because the bottom of the sofa almost came off it so I had to tighten it myself. Did get most of the boxes in the correct room ,but threw some of them up against the wall leaving marks on the wall. Just very unprofessional to me and unacceptable. We hired All Awesome Movers to load a upack trailer for us. We had 3 bookshelves, two tables, and an antique piece of furniture all destroyed during transit. We had four other pieces of furniture with major damage done to them. The company had wrapped everything for us and loaded it on the trailer. We were told that they only cover damages done while the crew was present even though they packed everything in the trailer. Don't use this company. read more
